Kaiman snickered at this. "Wow, you're gonna kill your baby before it even gets out of the classroom." He smirked at her, but almost dropped his as well.

Kiwi raised an eyebrow and smiled when he nearly did the same thing. "As are you it seems." Quickly, she turned and left, stopping at her locker to grab a few books.

Kaiman turned a bright red then left the classroom with his sugar babie, being more careful now as not to drop it and fail before he even left the school.

Kiwi felt stupid as she walked home, carrying a sack of sugar. "Maybe if I dress it up..." she mumbled, but that would probably only make people stare more.

Kaiman got home and opened the door, not the least bit surprised that his mother wasn't home. She never was, he knew she was always working, yet she refused to let him get a job. He sighed and placed the sack of sugar on the counter.

As Kiwi opened the front door, she was greeted by the sound of her parents practially screaming at each other. "Welcome home." she mumbled to herself, heading for the kitchen.

Kaiman fixed himself a snack then looked at the sack of sugar. "So little guy, what are we gonna call you?"

Setting her "baby" on the counter, Kiwi dug around in the fridge, trying to ignore all the yelling. After pulling out a bottle of juice and a couple sticks of string cheese, she slammed the refrigerator shut and stormed off to her room. "Come on Plum, let's go find a quiet spot."

"I think we should name you...hmm...how does Jake sound to you?" He chuckled a bit then took the sack up to his room so he could get ready.

Near-silence fell as Kiwi slammed her bedroom door shut and she was gratefull for the padded-cell look that her room had. Her parents had allowed her to do it a few years ago because it kept noise from leaving pretty well. Now it mosly kept out their fighting, though she could still hear a muffled version.
"Sorry about that." she patted Plum affectionately before setting the sack down on her bed.

Kaiman sighed and got into the shower to get ready to meet the girl at the coffee place. He rinsed off his hair and then dried it once he was out, glancing at Jake every now and then. Downstairs, he heard his mother coming in. "I'm up here mom!" He called out so that she knew that he was actually home right then.

After a few minutes on the computer, Kiwi checked the time. She still had plenty of time to make it to the coffee shop, but she'd have to leave soon. She shut off her laptop, then unplugged it and shoved it into her bag. Grabbing her sugar baby, she peeked her head out the door. All was quiet and her dad stopped as he passed by in the hallway.
"Heading out for coffee." she commented quickly, hoping he didn't want to talk. Luckily he just nodded and gave a funny look at the sack of sugar in her arms.

Kaiman ran downstairs once he was dressed and kissed his mother's cheek, who was leaving again. "Where are you going sweety?" Kaiman blushed a bit. "I'm meeting someone is all"

Walking quickly down the sidewalk with her sugar baby cradled in the crook of one arm, Kiwi got quite a few stares, but she stared back at some of the younger people and they quickly looked away. Finally the coffee shop came into view. She went inside, noticing that Kaiman wasn't there yet, and sat down at a table.

Kaiman walked into the coffee shop, holding his sugar baby tight against his side.

Kiwi was just setting up her laptop when the bell above the door tinkled. She looked up to see who it was entering. Sure enough, it was Kaiman and he was right on time.

Kaiman smiled at the girl and walked up to her. "Hey, so...what's first on the list for our parenting here."

Hideto made his way toward his house, muttering under his breath in Japanese.

"I don't get how taking care of sugar is supposed to be challenging..." were what his words roughly translated to. As he passed a small coffee shop, an orange striped cat ran past him, and out of seemingly nowhere, a large dog followed, pulling a small child. The leash caught Hideto's leg, causing hom to fall flat on his back. He struggled to keep just the right grip on the sugar sack; he didn't want to drop it, but he didn't want to puncture it with his fingers, either.

"...for anyone but me, anyway...but knowing me, if I let this out of my sight, Dad is gonna need sugar for something..." he added as he looked up at his extended hands, which were carefully wrapped around the bag of sugar. He looked as though he really had made a very close save with a real baby.

Kiwi smiled. "Well, first things first. I suppose I never introduced myself and while I may have known your name that doesn't mean that you know mine. So anyway, I'm Kiwi. And yes, that's really my name."
She winced as she introduced herself. She didn't know what her parents had been thinking when they named her, but the least they could have done was name her siblings weird too, but nope. Her sister's name was Nicole, and her brother's was Aaron.

Kaiman looked at her, slightly shocked. "Wow...that's a freakin awesome name!" He smiled and sat down in front of her. "I wish I had a name that different." Kaiman had always been fond of weird things.

For a second, she thought he was joking, but he seemed to genuinely like her name. "You're serious? I don't know. I mean...it's an interesting name and all, but I used to get teased about it all the time."
She shrugged and opened up a document on her computer.

"Well I think it rules."

"Well thanks." Kiwi felt a bit better about her name now. "Anyway...onto this assignment. I think naming them is probably the best way to start. That's probably kind of obvious since they're supposed to be our kids for a while, but not everyone would think of it." She smiled and shrugged, then lifted her sack onto the table. "Meet Plum Neilson."

Kaiman laughed a bit, then set his sack on the table. "Meet Jake Garret"

Laughing, Kiwi glanced at her laptop screen for a moment then back over at Kaiman. "Good. Well anyway all I can think of is that we need to treat these like they really are children. I think I know what not to do based on...well, based on how my parents are, but I'm still not sure exactly how to go about this project."
