Lacy Smiled And Wiped Away The Tears. "I Think I May Go Home. My Mother Will Be Upset And She'll Need Me There To Comfort Her" She Smiled At Luna. Lacy Turned Away And Walked In The Direction Of Home.

Luna nodded and then walked back to her gym class.

Christie thought about whether she should have called the school. "I hope Lacy doesn't come home...I don't want her in trouble."

Lacy Turned The Key In Her Front Door. She Knew Her Mother Would Not Want Her To Get Into Trouble With School. But Her Grandmother Had Just Died. All Lacy Needed Was Her Family. Well, What Was Left Of It.

"Mom. I've Come Home. I Know You're Going To Ge Mental At Me But I Needed To Be With My Family And You. I Love You Mommy" Lacy Burst Into Tears Again. The Incident With Her Garandma Had Made Her Realise How Much Family Meant To Her. It Had Shaken Her Up But Showed Her The Mistakes She Was Making With Her Mom, And That If She Did Not Stop, She Would Loose Her.

Christie gave her daughter a stern look. "You shoudln't have come home." Softening, "But I'm not going to go mental. I'll call you out of school and get your friend to bring over your work. I have some work to do in the basement, so just relax. " She paused at the top of the basement stairs. "I love you too, honey."

Lacy strode off into the living room. Her mother always thaught about school. Lacy had only missed two periods and her mom was making out to behuge. What work would she miss in two periods of the day? Honestly.
How could her mother be so calm about her grandma's death? Lacy had no ide how adults worked. Especially not her mom.
She shouted down to her "Do you want me to bring you the phone?" Lacy waited for an answer.
