The bowl was half empty by the time the female woman came out with the plate with the fish on it. Even though many cats enjoyed fish, this cat was more of a bird person. The neko sniffed at the fish and sneezed carefully with a little high pitch squeak added on the end. She wimpered in rejection of the fish.

Alexis shook her head. "Chicken?" She said, and got out a roasted chicken.

The neko did not understand the language but as soon as she smelt the chicken that has been roasted and was steaming off the plate the female was carrying her way, the girl sat like a begging dog, her tail wagging crazily as she made a load purring sound.

Alexis put the chicken on the table. She pointed at the chair. "Sit." She said.

The neko may not have understood the language of the woman, but when she saw the chair and the woman pointing to it, she figured out what the word ment. She got off the floor and placed herself in the chair, sitting a little unevenly. "S...sit..." She whispered as carefully as she could to pronounce it. She looked up to the female to see if she got it right.

Alexis laughed happily. "Yes! Sit!" Alexis giggled a little, then nodded.

The neko smiled brightly as she picked up a piece of the chicken with her fingers, having ripped it off. Chicken was always finger food for her. Finally, after chewing and swallowing a piece, she began to try to speak again. "J...Jas...Jasmine..." She said with a smile as she raised her head proudly. It was her name...which she still had trouble speaking.

"Jasmine!" Alexis said happily. Then she pointed at her self. "A-lex-is" She said, then changed hre mind. "Le-xi"

Jasmine sat there listening, then licked her lips and spoke the second one, seeing the expression on the woman's face pointing she rathered the second one. "L...Lex...Lexi..." She purred loudly, happy with herself for being able to speak this foreign language. She knew one word and could say both their names.

Alexis smiled. "Chicken." She pointed at the left-overs.

Jasmine looked down to where Lexi had pointed. It was the food she was enjoying so much. She picked another piece off and popped it into her mouth and after she swallowed she said with ease, "Chicken!" She smiled brightly. The young 15 year old was so excited.

Erika looked over from her chair to see a small cat like girl and her other coworker. she got up. "How's she doing?" Erika walked up beside Alexis and put a hand on her shoulder and holding on to her cup of cocoa with the other hand. she smiled at the girl "Hello smiley one!" she noticed the girl wasnt exactly listening. she bent down a bit to get to the girl's level. "Welcome Jasmine. My name is Erika! E-Ri-Ka!" she smiled and waited for a response from the tattered small girl.

Jasmine blushed brightly as another woman walked over and spoke to her. The first time she spoke, Jasmine did not understand, but when she spoke out a word carefully, Jasmine realized that was her name. She licked her lips and spoke out the word. "E...eri...erika....?" She said carefully, trying not to mess up on her challange to learn the language here.

Erika smiled and clapped her hands "very good!" she petted the girl in the head. "Welcome. to the mene cafe. Would you like anything?" erika realized the first time that the poor girl was trying to learn the language so she tried to speak slower.

When she watched the female clap her hands together and speak the words very good, she realized it was a good phrase. Jasmine giggled, but when she heard the long sentence, dispite how slow Erika spoke it, she got confused at what the words ment. She tilted her head, while nibbling on the last piece of chicken on the bones. She had no clue what the woman said, but was truely trying to understand everything.

Alexis laughed a little as Erika came. She waved a little at Erika. "Jasmine, Would you like to eat?" Alexis mimed eating. "Chicken?" She pointed at the food.

Lura found it to be a fine day in Menewsha. Perhaps a cup of coffee would be nice? Outside on the streets, she watched birds fly from tree to tree, chirping away their favorite songs. With her bright eyes, she browsed the various shops that lined the sides of the streets and grew curious as her sight fell upon a small cafe. Perfect! Lura casually walked through the front door and saw two waitresses helping a catgirl with some chicken, was it? Eventually catching the attention of one of the waitresses, she smiled and called out in a normal tone. "Hi there. Mm.. you wouldn't mind if I took to drawing anyone in here, would you?" she added, holding up a sketchbook that was always on her person.

Jasmine looked back to Lexi who offered more chicken. Although she loved the flavor, she was full now. She shook her head then pat her belly with a bright smile. Her little ears perked and moved slightly and her tail whipped back and forth more than happily. The people here were so kind to her. She felt nice in this new place, even if she didn't understand the language or much of anything going on.

Alexis smiled a little as she understood the sign language. "Full." She said.

Erika looked up at Alexis with inspiration. "Wow you're so good at this kind of thing." she turned back to pet the cute small neko chan and smiled. "Someday you will learn our language. But in the mean time we will keep you safe here." even if the girl didnt understand what she said Erika wanted to say to the girl she hoped her welcoming smile would translate well into something the small girl would understand.
