Aura Academy is for human beings that display psychic abilities. Whether from birth or in the past year; all are welcome. 'Aura' is around everybody, even those that have no 'talents', but those who surpass normal are accepted.
What is 'psychic abilities' to the staff?
• The ability to semi-control a single element (Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, etc) ;Required for all
• Teleportation and putting up an invisible guard using your Aura ;Developed naturally
• The ability to see your own and another's aura ;Natural
*Mind reading is not allowed, note.

It's Just High School;;
Students will receive the same education as a normal human being. However, they will live all year round until the summer at the Academy. Those displaying abilities from birth are ranked A. Those below them are rank B. But Grades are still important!

Brief Personality: Talan doesn't like to put his personality down in words, but rather live them out. He tends to be friendly to new people, but spiteful and mean to those he doesn't. He also isn't a morning person at all, usually trying his best to sleep in despite suffering from insomnia. Boy or girl, Talan tends to treat both the same, but he can more easily hit a guy than a girl. He doesn't really care for developing his powers, but just using them for fun and getting through Aura Academy. In this sense he is pretty lazy and is lazy about everything else except for a good fight.

History: Talan lived a normal life minus the fact that when he became older he started seeing this "fuzzy area" around people. At first he thought that he needed glasses and got them, but at the optometrist found that his eyesight was "normal". He still felt a bit weird about what he was seeing. He still tried to live normally, though by age thirteen he knew something was up considering that he was able to move a cup of water (though spilling all of it) just by looking at it. His parents saw his progress and found Aura Academy to be the place to help him control his powers. Ever since he has been at Aura Academy.

Brief Personality: Kaori is the timid shy type. She keeps mainly to herself from fear of others. She has been home schooled all her life, so she has never really had to deal with any others. She loves helping people out in the best way she can especially when she gets close to them. She puts everyones problems and feelings before her own. That causes her alot of trouble sometimes but no matter what she smiles. The only time you won't see her smiling is when her powers go off uncontrolled. She scares herself.

History: She has had her powers since she was born but never has she been able to control them. Her bedroom had to be covered in fireproof lining to keep her from burning the house down everytime she slept. She has frequent nightmares that cause her powers to go abrupt. Her parents had to buy two homes before they discovered the exact problem.

Brief Personality: A quiet, isolated girl, Desu enjoys the silence that is her own company. She can keep herself amused for hours just sketching or reading. But sometimes she longs for the social aspect of life...she's just afraid of what others will think of her. Since the rivalries of A and B ranks are sometimes very brutal and bitter, she tends to socialize little to both sides.
Though if she warms up, Desu is found to be a very humorous, intelligent person. Immature people really tick her off.
Appearance: Just with dark brown hair, nearly black and dark brown eyes.
History: From the very start, Desu has loved to swim. When she was just a newborn, her mother enrolled her into swimming classes; since both parents could not swim, it was essential for their children to learn. When she got into the water, Desu immediately went under the surface. Smiling and laughing, she did not know the chaos it caused, simply staying under for nearly twenty minutes...and perfectly fine.
After a blood-test, the doctors grimly said that she had 'The Aura' and offered to enroll Desu into the Aura Academy when she reached the appropriate age. Not being able to use her abilities normally, as her family looked down on those sorts of things, Desu had a hard time growing up. When something went wrong in the house; she was blamed, whether it be water-based or not. It caused sibling rivalry with her younger sister to the point of Desu accidently using her power to drown her sister.
Thus she was enrolled into an 'Aura Camp' for young users until the age where one could go to Aura Academy. The Camps were not official, and many things went wrong with the 'students' there. Tramautized with being around so many explosions, fires and electric storms...Desu now is frightened of loud noises.
A few years passed and she finally went to the Academy with her 'own kind', as her parents stated. She still thinks she is abnormal silently, but has since then learned to use her powers properly.

The school grounds were crisp, clean, and looking well this morning with students from ages fourteen to nineteen attending the school, whether or not they were asleep at the moment. The pools glistened, reflecting the sunlight, the tennis/badminton courts cleanly swept, and the buildings looking like they were new. Of course this didn't mean anything to seventeen year old Talan who was currently in bed, sleeping.

He yawned as the sun started to spill into his room. What time was it? He didn't know, nor did he care. He turned his head to the side, seeing the curtains opened a bit. So he forgot to close them again last night. He sighed, making the curtains close before he turned over to get some more rest. He didn't really care whether or not he was late considering his lack of sleep the prior night. He rolled over trying to fall back asleep, but had no luck and decided to at least get dressed.

Grounds;;

Desu was all ready up and about. She couldn't go back to sleep anyways; it was all ready her Spare, being that it was second period...first came and left. Biology was all right. She did have a good stomach for those sorts of things.
Brushing dark hair out of her deep brown eyes, she looked across the fresh cut grass in boredom. Gym next after lunch. She couldn't stand normal Gym. All that running and jumping and what not. But this Gym was required...sorta, for Rank A students. It was good to develop your abilities.

So I can fit in more with the 'normal crowd' she thought grimly, resting head on hand. but like I'll be accepted.

A yawn escaped her, and she idly scratched the back of her head. It was so...early. She liked to sleep in. Weekends were better...She couldn't miss any more school. What, with her social anxiety, just getting up was like she just got into a bad aura fight...or something. Dredding the day and whatnot.

Sitting under a large oak tree. Yup. That's where she was at the moment. Book opened in front of her, laying on the ground untouched.

Talan walked outside grudgingly, heading over to his second period. He would probably get detention if they found he ditched, again. He ran a hand through his messy hair, trying make it look at least half way decent. His second period was biology and his first, math. At least it wouldn't totally be boring. He kept going until he reached the school building and then biology class. He peaked inside one of the windows, seeing that the teacher and most students were already there. Perfect. His eyes moved over to a cupboard with textbooks against the glass door.

Maybe..just maybe he could have that door "mysteriously" open. He debated this, trying it out. The door unfortunately, refused to budge. He cursed under his breath before seeing that there was a lock on it. Of course, he would need to get the tumblers turning. He sighed, deciding to accept his fate rather than using his powers again. He opened the door, ignoring the looks people gave him for being late. "Nice of you to join us Mr. Talan." The teacher made a mark under Talan's name, marking him late. "Of course, I would never miss a biology class." He was being sarcastic, but it didn't change anything.

Kaori looked up from her book when Talan walked in. She knew him but barely he was always late or never there. She smiled softly towards him before going back to her book. She had already read the days lesson but she was reading it again just to make sure she had it when the teacher asked questions.

Talan walked over to his seat, seeing a girl smile at him out of the corner of his eye. He smiled back, though not saying anything and took his seat. What was the at girl's name? Korey? Kate? Kathrine? No that couldn't be it. He shook his head, deciding to ask after class let out.

Kaori looked up surprised as Talan sat next to her. Not many of the students did considering she was soo much smaller than them. Infact she had already been sat on once this year because the person hadn't seen her. Kaori smiled as she pushed her book closer to him so he could read to since she noticed he hadn't brought his book.

Talan shrugged at the girl's surprised look and examined the textbook that she pushed closer. How old was she and for that matter how tall? She was certainly small enough that people might mistake her for a kid though. He reached into his backpack, getting out a pencil and his notebook, before turning to the girl. "Hey, uhh what are we supposed to do now, you know besides staring at the textbook?"

Kaori smiled pointing up to the board where the teacher was talking. "Notes..." she whispered. "he'll be asking random questions soon. You'll probably be on the top of his list to pester since you were late." Kaori answered quickly as she smiled.

Talan nodded. "Well then it's no different than before. The teach always seems to want to give me trouble." He was usually late, though by choice considering that it was like being at a public school, only with a fancier name. He went back to note taking, skimming the textbook for some random things to write.

Kaori sat diligently taking her notes occasionally glancing over at Talan's notes to see what he was doing. It seemed like he was listening and taking notes but how much was actally sinking in of what the teacher was saying was a mystery. Just like Kaori had warned the teacher began asking questions a few minutes later.

Talan sighed. He didn't really want to learn much of biology in the first place, though it was better than math by a lot. He kept writing in a messy scrawl before the teacher started to ask questions. In his mind, he cursed loudly, though not showing it on his face. The teacher called on him, asking something about how traits were inherited from parent to child. He bit his lip, trying to keep composure before stealing a small glance at the girl for an answer.

"Through the chromatids in the sperm or egg." Kaori whispered quietly noticing he needed help. She kept her voice low so that she wouldn't be heard except by him.

Brief Personality: Kai is very intelligent. He would be more social if some people actually approached him to be friends. But he hates jerks, and tries to be as sweet as he can.
Appearance: Kai
History: Kai has always loved being above ground. His parents always knew about his powers and thought he was smart enough to not expose them to the public. But being kind of tall made him uncoordinated. So one day when he was up a tree, he tripped on nothing and fell down, nearly cracking his head if he didn't fly up and save himself. His parents decided to send him the Aura Academy soon after that.

Brief Personality: She enjoys having fun, but can be very mature for her age. She is never mean or cruel, and tries to be friends and make peace with everyone.
Appearance: Hope
History: Hope had lived in a big house with a beautiful garden and loving parents. They passed away in a freak accident and she grew extremely depressed. When she walked into her garden, she realized that the flowers began drooping as she passed. Her parents' gardener, and Hope's good friend, witnessed it and together they decided that it was best for her to go to Aura Academy.

After hearing the girl Talan grinned crookedly. "Genes are inherited by the parents through the chromatids in the sperm or egg." The teacher looked slightly stunned, but turned his head before calling on another different student. He turned to the girl, thanking her. "Thanks, you really saved my ass there."

Kai quietly took notes as other yawned and rolled their eyes at the teacher. When the teacher gave them time to catch up on notes, Kai gazed out the window at a huge, tall tree, longingly. He came back to Earth as the teacher loudly scolded someone for sleeping during class.Don't blame him.. he thought to himself, laughing quietly.

Hope's art teacher told the class to draw themselves in a place that makes them the most happy. Easy enough, Hope thought to herself. She quickly sketched out a picture of herself sitting down on the bench of her garden at home. She missed home, but it did bring back sad memories of her parents. Hope glanced at the clock. Almost lunch..

Grounds to Track;;

"Hmm..." she glanced down at her watch. Ten minutes to lunch. Though truthfully, she could have all ready started to eat. After all...it was Spare. She didn't have to go to class for another hour or so. "might as well get something...before the lines come." she added to herself in a mutter. She got to her feet, picking up the book and placing it in her side-bag.
Walking along, she counted the two five bills she had, pondering on what to buy for lunch. She had fries and a cola yesterday...Mayhap a wrap. Yeah. The cafe here made excellent wraps and cappuccinos.

"Wrap and an iced cappuccino, please" Desu told the cashier, resisting the urge to yawn once more. So tired...
"Thanks" she added, picking up the food and drink when it was ready. Took a bloody ten minutes to make...even though the food was on display; all ready made as well.

To Gym she thought idly, making a bee-line to the track where Gym was held. After eating, she'd change into the light armor plated shirt and shorts all students wore as a 'standard gym uniform'. Well, it was for aura fights, after all. One could get hurt. Though...how could anybody get hurt from water was beyond her. Maybe they drowned while standing up...
The thought made her laugh lightly.

"Its no problem but you really should know that its relatively simple." Kaori whispered. She looked up smiling as the bell for the end of class rang. She gently closed her book whisking it away into her book bag. Followed by her notebook and pencils.

"Yeah well biology isn't really my territory." Talan scratched his head sheepishly and then packed up when the bell rang. He stood up before slinging on his backpack. "Anyway, I didn't catch your name earlier what was it?"

Kai's English teacher rudely dismissed the class for lunch, which he skipped. Instead he ran outside to the tall tree and jumped; high. He sat on a thick branch and picked an apple. He bit it contentedly as he welcomed the breeze's sudden company.

After turning in her picture, Hope walked to the cafe with her friends. She didn't feel like eating, so she just ordered a cappuccino.

"Its Kaori, and your Talan correct?" Kaori asked smiling. She knew she was right she had listened to the teacher. She picked up her bag and slung it over her shoulder.
