Lucy walked up to the school building and pulled open the heavy door, keeping it open for Ashliegh.

Erik pushed the down button on the wall next to the elevator. When the elevator doors opened, he walked in, closed the doors, and pushed the button with a small "1" centered on it. He waited while the elevator made its way to the first floor. It didn't take long for the elevator to stop and "ding". The doors slid open, and he walked out. Erik walked straight to the large counter with the lady sitting behind it. He straightened his jacket and glasses. "Excuse me, what can I do to entertain myself until classes come?" he asked. "Is there a game room, or a cafe' or anything like that?"

The lady nodded. "Yes, there's a rec room down the hall. There's also some music rooms and a cafeteria." she said, smiling.

Erik nodded, thanked the lady, and walked down to the rec room.

Ashliegh walled inside. It was HUGE!!!
"Whoa. Check it out!" Ashliegh said and looked for her bags...

Lucy smiled. "Yup. I guess this is home for the next year. Let's go ask that lady what dorm you're staying in." she said, and pointed to the lady sitting behind the large counter in the back of the room. Lucy started walking towards the counter.

Erik looked for a cd player in the rec room. When he found one, he took a cd out of his jacket. He put it in the cd player, and "Atlantic" by Keane started playing. Erik turned up the volume and whispered the words to the song as they came out of the speakers. He smiled and looked around for something to do in the rec room.

After Lily finished talking to her dad, she decided it was either now or never to try and make new friends. She exited her room and passed the main entrance to the dorms and saw two girls standing at the front desk.

Lucy looked around the room and spotted another girl. "Hey!" she shouted to her, and waved her hand.

One of the girls greeted Lily. She searched her mind for something to say that would completely bore the girl to death. "U-Umm, h-hi," was all she could say. Wonderful Lily the conversation barely started and you've already said something boring. Now she probably thinks you're the biggest loser she's ever meet.

"Hi!" Lucy replied, smiling. "I'm Lucy. We're trying to find out what dorm she's in." Lucy said, and pointed to Ashliegh. "Then I was thinking about going to the rec room. Wanna come with us?"

"S-Sure, I'm L-Lily" she answered. I can't believe that I almost forgot my own name. Just then her cell phone rang. She excused herself to answer it.

Lucy nodded and then decided to turn her phone back on. The second the phone was fully loaded, a pop-up came up saying that she had 10 missed calls. She checked who they were from. All but one was from her mom. The other was from her old friend Jake. She smiled. The trouble we got into. she thought. Lucy looked in her contacts list and located his name. She then called the number. She waited a little while for him to pick up, but there was no answer. Oh well, she thought, and turned her phone back off.

It was Lily's dad that called.

"Hey, Lily, how many friends have you made!! Are any of them boys? Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

Lily was never so embarrased! Her dad spoke loud enough for anyone in the room to hear. "Dad, we just had this conversation a few minutes ago." she calmly replied.

Lucy heard heard a muffled voice coming out of Lily's phone and smiled. Poor thing, she thought, and looked at Lily for a second, then looked at her watch. It wasn't even noon yet. Classes didn't start for two more days. She let out a smile sigh. What am I going to do? she thought. That's when she heard what was unmistakably Keane coming from down the hall. "No way." she whispered. She looked longingly at the hall, then back at Ashliegh, then Lily.

Lily looked at Lucy and was relieved that she wasn't laughing her head off. She then noticed the expression on Lucy's face. "W-Whats wrong?"

"Nothing." Lucy lied, then smiled. "You wanna go down to the rec room now?" she asked.

"Sure," Lily responded. She felt happy that she already made a new friend. She knew her dad would be proud.

"Alright. Ashliegh, meet us there when you're done." Lucy said, and started walking towards the hallway. "So...why are you at L'Ermitage?" she asked Lily.

Ashliegh nodded and turned towards the woman.
"Ashliegh Velman" she said.
"Your dad already put your things in your room my dear. Here is the key." The woman smiled as she gave her the key.
"Thanks" said Ashliegh and she walked to her room.
"Room 1 Girls Dorm. I guess this is the room" and she opened the door.
Placing her bag in her room, she went outside, locked the door, put the key in her pocket and headed towards the Rec Room.

Lily answered Lucy by saying, "Well, my new stepmother wanted me out of the house, so she convinced my dad to send me here. He thought it would be good for me to make a new start because he thinks I ruined my chance at popularity back home in Italy."

Ashleigh ran up to Lucy and Lilly.
"Popularity?? Just be youself girl" Ashliegh said

Lucy frowned. "The old boarding school trick, huh? I'm here because I got drunk and drove my dad's car into a lake." Lucy said, and smiled. "I'm actually really smart, and I guess my parents thought that going here would change me. That I wouldn't have any distractions and would be able to good grades again."

"Well, for me, it was the 'cheapest' option but Boarding Schools are sooooooo expensive these days" Ashliegh said

"I don't think my parents really care about cost. We're pretty wealthy so we don't really ever need to think about it. They only care about reputation." Lucy replied, and swept her bangs to the side.

"My dad was tired of hearing my peers call me 'Saint Gemma' all the time. My stepmother told him that I wanted to be a Passionate nun. In a way he was trying to save his own face.

"Reputation?" Ashliegh asked, then she shivered

Lily recieved a text message from her dad. "My father l-o-v-e-s checking on me." She texts back- No dad no one has died of my boredom yet. BTW do you know of any churches in the area?

Lucy smiled. "My mom's the same way, apparently." she said. When they reached the rec room, the door was already open. Lucy walked in and saw a boy sitting on a couch in the back of the room.

Erik looked at the door when he heard footsteps approaching. He saw three girls coming closer to the rec room. "Dang." he whispered, and sat down on a couch.
