Silvian looked over at carlos. His eyes beginning to water from the harsh climate.
"I'm not so sure if this is any better than where we were... and it looks like you don't have the strength to get us all where we need to go..."

Miranda lay over Claire, her long pink hair giving Claire's face slight protection from the harsh air.

(Zane and Anthony!!! I forgot about them, honetsly...and yes, Anthony is rather defensive!!)

"OI!" came a cry from somehwere near them, the voice a tad annoyed. "Don't you guys have an sense!? That place is irradiated to hell! Unless you all wanna die, get over here. NOW!" The voice belonged to a man in his twenties, a nasty scar across his face, a bit of his lip pulled away. He was wearing some rags and an odd utility belt, a gun in his hand. He wore a scarf, obviously for breathing in harsh conditions. Standing near him, and sporting pink skin, a few extra horns, a giant udder and an extra head, was an odd looking cow with a giant pack on his broad back, the thing obviously more interested in the burnt out grass on the ground then the situation at hand. Autumn just blinked at the man, eyeing him with slight shock. It seemed impossible for anyone to live in these conditions, let alone breathe normally like that.

Carlos just gasped silently, not really caring. At least the weren't dead. If they were, his list would've have been screwed up and he'd have to claim a lot more souls than required, resulting chaos. Like the Black Plague...now that was a time he didn't want to relive.

Silvian walked over and helped miranda with the still unconcoius claire. Sloth sure had picked a fine time to be... well, slothful.

Autumn groaned and, moving off to Carlos picked him up, slinging the messenger of death over his shoulder. He turned to look at the two monsters of tehir group, eyeing teh algebra teacher at the basilisk student. They actually seemed to be doing Ok. Maybe it was their genetic buildup, but they both seemed to breathe fine, the basilisk especially. In fact, he seemed to be getting over his minor heat exhaustion. "Hurry up!" came an imaptient yell, the man glaring. "This is super-mutant territory!"

(It's a bird, it's a plane, no... it's... SUPERMUTANT!!! XD)

Silvian sighed in frustration.
"Good satan, will you give it a rest already. I'm quite sure we can handle just about anything this place can throw at us."

(He's like bizarro Superman, only bigger, yellow, and no lips!!!!)

"Right. Say that to the behemoth that's been spotted around her," the man grumbled to himself, turning to check on his brahmin, the odd cow still eating the charred grass. He needed to get the meat back to the village. The thought upset him. God knew they didn't want to kill other humans to survive, but they couldn't eat anything else. It was terrible.

Autumn began to make his way toward the man. He knew his way around this place. It could be useful. Ashrinda, followed, her whispy gown flowing behind her like a shadow.

(What happened to your ghost character. Is she just flotin' in space now?)

Silvian hefted Clair onto his shoulders for easier carrying, causing miranda to twitch. It seemed their only option as of now was to follow this strange man...

Ashrinda coughed violently as they reached teh scarred man, an unamused look on his face. "Good. Now come on...it's no use hangin' out here with raiders nearby," he said, shoulder his rifle. "Come on now," he said, grabbing the double lassoe of his two headed cattle. "Home's just down the road."

Autumn blinked, shrugging. He began to follow, tugging behind a few unamused people, especially Ashrinda, who's face was contorted with pain and annoyance.

(Yeah...let's just say they never came. Anthony and Zane included.)

As Miranda walked next to Silvian, she kept noticing some flickering movements out of the corner of her eye. Finally it got so annoying that she sent out one of her vectors and snatched the thing, which turned out to be a raider scout. The scout wailed and struggled pathetically, suspended about three feet in the air.
"Continue screaming and I'll rip your throat out."
Miranda turned to the old man, but asked the group at large.
"Should I kill him?"

"Yes...tear him a fucking part," the man hissed, glaring at the struggling man, narrowing his eyes and turning away. Autumn just watched the man, marvelling at his indifferance toward human life. Ashrinda just watched Miranda, waiting for the bloody spectacle. Carlos groaned with annoyance on Autumn's shoulder. He really didn't want to reap anything.

Miranda couldn't help but giggle, and a sadistic smile spread across her lips. It had been quite a while since she killed something. Seeing the look on her face the man began to struggle harder, grabbing at the invisible hand holding him aloft. Suddenly his abdomen exploded, sending blood and entrails flying. Miranda's grin plummeted.
"W-wha..."
The man's arm was violently ripped of, sending a fountain of blood onto the sand. Miranda's grin was completely gone, replaced by confusion and fear.
"No..."
The man was still screaming in agony when his head was ripped from his shoulders and sent flying a few feet from his body. Miranda threw the body away from her and ran to Silvian, clutching his leg.
"It's wrong... no... it feels wrong... it's different... no... not real..."

Silvian patted Miranda's head, doing his best to comfort her.
"I've been having the same feeling... the beings in these worlds... it's like they have no life... the plants... those things... and even you."
Silvian turned to the old man and looked him straight in the eye.

(I find it odd that he wouldn't ask what was holding a raider scout three feet above the ground...)

(He's seen some odd shit, believe me. He doesn't care what does it as long as it get it's done.)

The man just snorted, trying to calm his now distressed brahmin. "Probably the radiation," he said, finally getting the beast to calm himself. "Earth's changed because of it and humanity was too stupid to figure it out before everything went to hell." He turned, eyeing teh bloody corpse of the raiider, his lip twitching. He shook his head and began to lead the animal away, Autumn just watching. "What an odd man..." he murmered, watching as the guy turned to look back at them, face impatient. "Come on, now! I doubt you guys live anywhere near here! You're gonna need a place to stay!"

The road they were travelling on seemed to stretch for miles, rubble and destroyed overpasses surrounding them. Not too mention the desicated city off in the distance. What made it even worse was the fact the man didn't even slow; he just kept going at quite a brisk pace. It wouldn't have been a problem if Autumn hadn't been caring teh messenger of DEATH. The more he held the black haired man, the more energy he seemed to lose. It wasn't fun in the least.

(X3 I just realized... maybe Carlos and Alastair are related. Rofl.)

Silvian had been keeping an eye on the road ever since Miranda's little... 'episode', but no one seemed to be following them as of now. Silvian sighed... this was going to take much too long, and none of them had the energy to deal with it. Silvian set Claire down gently and addressed his companions.
"Technically, I'm not supposed to do this. But screw protocol."
Silvian drew on his darkest powers and began to chant,
"Heed my words o great powers of darkness.
Release to me the tortured souls.
Let me infuse them with my life force and awaken them to the world of the living.
Immaculate beings appear before me now!"
Suddenly a group of seven winged devils appeared before them.

The man stopped and turned, eyeing the odd things with sharp eyes. His hand went absently to the rifle on his back, not sure of what to actually make of the new creatures. They were odd and he very much did not want to know what they were doing, but they were spooking his brahmin. He'd lose the day's...harvest if the pack animal managed to run off.

Autumn and Ashrinda both whispered absently, eyeing the devils. "What beauties," Ashrinda cooed absently, looking them over with a wandering eye.

Silvian thrust his hand forward, accidentally conjuring his scythe.
"LIFT YOUR GUN AND YOU WILL DIE BEFORE YOU MAKE THE FIRST SHOT."
Silvian turned back to his companions.
"Thank you, These are my personal devils. They would be happy to carry us the rest of the way. You may chose your preference or have one choose you if you'd like."

(by the way, they aren't all exactly the same. Each devil has characteristic colors and horns. You can make them up yourself or have me do it for you.)

The man directed his glare to Silvian, a snarl on his ugly face. "Oh, of course," he hissed, sarcasm heavy in his voice. "I'll just let my brahmin run off and lose our food for the week." He went back to attempting to calm the frieghtedned mutation, both heads staring at the devils with absolute terror.

Autumn just whistled again, looking over the devils, shifting teh weight on his shoulder with a grimace. "That would really be appreciated," he said, Ashrinda already deciding that she liked the one with the lighter color of skin, grinning up happily at it.

Silvian began introducing them, gesturing to each of them in turn.
"They are, Abraham,"
Slivian gestured the the first, the black and gold devil.
"Ethan"
The black and red devil.
"Bartholomew"
The Silver and blue devil.
"Caleb"
The black and green devil.
"Darius"
The black and violet devil.
"Eleazar"
The silver and gold devil.
"And finally Azriel."
The white crystalline devil.

"I call Eleazar!" Autumn said, striding toward the part gold devil. Wow. What a shock. Ashrinda had chosen already, marvelling at Azriel's simple beauty. One color. And it pulled that look off so well.

Edanial stood up and patted at his clothing. He still had the knife. He turned around to see a tall sun burnt man towering above him. "Hello." he greeted the man smiling. The slaver looked Edaniel over. "Your comeing with me, now." Simon put his hands against his side and slipped the knife into his pocket, he would have to give it back some time. "Ok." He answered, still smiling, "Where are we going?" The slaver smiled, this was easy. "A place called Paridise Falls."
