Aniel started grabbing dishes and scraping off excess food and putting the plates in the dishwasher. "Well I'm ready when I'm done with this." He said and put the last plate in then put on his own coat and fedora, grabbing his suitcase in one hand and checked his pockets again for his wallet and phone. He had to constantly check. "We're off to see the wizard..." He started then it turned into a quiet hum as he waited for her. Most everybody was receiving gift cards that year from them, so they were all in his suit case, but her present was a little more delicate and sat in his coat pocket. He opened the door and saw the taxi before he heard it. "Right on time." He muttered.

Andy followed him to the door, tugging on her coat. It was her favorite peacoat, and it took her a moment to get the two bottom buttons closed around her belly. She'd already mailed her family their gifts, since she hadn't known she would see them, but her gift for Nathaniel was in her suitcase. She hadn't been sure what to get for him, since she was already carrying his baby, so she'd done what she could and hoped he would like it. She had her suitcase roll behind her on its own until they got within seeing range of other people, and then she pulled it along herself.

Nathaniel stepped out of the taxi that had taken them from the airport to her family house. "This... is where your entire family will be staying?! You must not have that large of a family, this place isn't very big. We should have invited them all to my summer home." He muttered then kissed Andy's forehead. "They ALL know your pregnant, right?" He asked as he grabbed their bags out of the trunk.

"There are about twenty of us or so," Andy replied. Discretely, she helped with the bags. "I think they mostly know... I know my grandparents do, at least, and the rest of the family has probably been here for a few days already, so they've probably heard by now." She grinned a bit when she felt a familiar presence in her mind before it withdrew and she heard someone inside scrambling for the door. She could hear a faint 'Andy's here!'

"Andy!" One of her younger cousins stood in the now-open doorway. Andy grinned.

"Hey, Cassie," she called back. Cassie ran out the door and hugged Andy. She wasn't nearly as fast as Jason was, but that was a good thing.

"Oh god, it's true, you ARE knocked up!" Cassie exclaimed when Andy returned the hug.

"Well, yeah, didn't Nana tell you that?"

"Yeah..."

"Then it's true."

Cassie. Empath. Hyper. Energetic. Dear lord, Nathaniel already regretted this. He took a deep breath then realized he was just 'the guy who knocked her up.' Oh no, he was feeling sorry for himself. Oops. 'Feel stoic. Feel stoic.' He sighed and took the girls hand and raised an eyebrow. "Let me feel more like a man, and drop the weight of your bag unless you take ALL of the weight, and I don't need you on a power high when I meet your family." He said and brushed a kiss into her hair.

"This isn't near enough to put me on a high," Andy replied, though she dropped the weight all the same. She squeezed his hand gently. Cassie gave him a weird look and then looked back at Andy.

"What's eating him?" she asked. Andy just shook her head.

"Ignore it, just let me worry about him," she said. Cassie shrugged and tugged on her hand.

"Come on, everyone's waiting and it's freezing out here!" she urged. Andy grinned.

"Alright, alright," she replied.

Nathaniel rose an eyebrow as the girl went back in. "Thanks, now pick that back up, I can't carry all this. I'm leg muscles, not arm muscles!" He teased and walked forward then stopped. "I'm not lying, I'd get your bag if you don't want everything frozen." He said and watched the taxi driver pull away from the curb and head onwards. "Give me all the others' powers." He said and grinned. "At least that way I have something better to worry about than my own sanity."

Andy rolled her eyes and picked her bag up with a thought. It floated obediently behind her.

"You know my brother, and you just met Cassandra. She's the empath. Her older sister, Emily, is a telepath. Her younger sister, Rachel, hasn't manifested yet, but there's a strong possibility that her power will be mental as well. Aaron is another telepath, and his twin brother Daniel is a seer. My aunts and uncles are normal, and so is my grandfather. I have a few other cousins, but they live way far out and don't come to visit much. They're mostly a pair of elementals and one can phase through solid matter." She explained it all quickly as they went inside.

"Wow. So... Mental powers, wonder how those feel." He teased again and entered the room. He looked around and saw kids run across the living room screaming. He cringed, and immediately clutched her hand tightly, pushing away the immediate headache that was coming in. "Ow." He whispered and bit his lip, turning back to the crowd, he raised a hand in a wave. He leaned into Andy and quietly murmured. "Not too far away. Too many people. Really small space." He whispered and then grinned at a ferret darting beneath a couch. Family, was this family? Insanity?

"I'll stay close," Andy promised. She waved a hand at the couch and the ferret came skittering back out, looking confused as to its sudden change in direction.

"Mr. Fuzzles, you know better," a little boy scolded as he picked up the ferret. He beamed up at her. "Thanks, Andy!"

"No problem, Jake," she said as she took her coat off. The sweater she had on clearly outlined her belly, and she looked every inch of her fifteen weeks.

"Andy!" Andy turned around to see her cousin Emily. Grinning, the two hugged.

"Hey, Emy," Andy greeted.

"Look at you," Emily said, grinning. "You're, what, four months?"

"Just about," Andy replied.

"Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?"

"Not yet," Andy replied. "And don't you dare say anything," she added, glancing over at Daniel, who had opened his mouth. "You're not allowed to say anything until tomorrow."

"She wants to wait for Christmas for the ultrasound. I've even kept it hidden from myself. Kind of. I've given myself two options. Boy or Girl." He said and a few people smiled and he shrugged, keeping one arm loosely over the girls shoulder. "Alright, egg-nog anyone?" He asked and Jason held out a glass to him, not spilling a drop. He took it and then looked at their luggage. "You're sleeping on the floor with the boys." The brother of his girlfriend said and he smirked. "She gets a bed. I'll show you where to put your things."

Nathaniel followed and put stuff in their proper rooms. "Don't you dare, ever. hurt. my. sister." Nathaniel held up his hands in his retreat as Jason stepped closer. Nathaniel was taller, but he wouldn't put it past Jason to be able to beat him up. Speed and muscles on his side.

"I don't plan on it, I'm... Nevermind."

"Oh, I know what's going on in your mind."

"Doubtful." Nathaniel said then left the rooms doorway and went back to the living room with the rest of your family.

Andy slipped her hand back into his when he came back into the room.

"Just wait until morning when the little kids have new toys," she murmured to him. "I already let my parents know we're here, so we can settle in for the evening. Jake and Amelia should be winding down soon. They're just hyped up because it's almost Christmas." She gestured to where the two little kids were running around and playing. The ferret was now safe in a plastic ball, and it was scurrying around as well.

"15 weeks... Not too late to go back and rethink the act?" He whispered, kind of scared about the children. He'd never had the hectic child sounds from his own children in his head. They scared the hell out of him. "We're in separate rooms, I think I'm kind of screwed for the night when it comes to head aches. But if I'm asleep we'll have no problems." He said and grinned, pressing a hand to her cheek. "Your family is a bit overbearing... happy christmas?" He asked and then kissed her forehead and then smirked. "Wow, I think your family is insane and you've met my criminally wrong ones. I'm such a hypocrite, okay..." He muttered and turned and smiled at the room where everyone had went on to do their own thing. "I love you." He said, then shivered, moving to conversate with the rest of her family playing the 'how did you meet her' game and answering questions about his life.

"Definitely to late," Andy murmured back to him. "You wanted this, remember?" She rested a hand on her stomach as she settled herself down on a couch. "Nobody's going to get much sleep tonight, not with the little kids. They'll be up all night trying to sneak peeks at Santa, you'll hear them whispering and going up and down the hall before they all decide to pile in on my bed." She grinned a bit. "It'll probably end up being Rachel, because she's only nine, Jake, because he's six, and Amelia, because she's four. They're the ones who still believe in Santa, and they won't be able to sleep." Once he walked away, she made herself comfortable on the couch as the women of the family descended on her to start asking questions.

Nathaniel moved to stand when the boys around him decided to pull out munchies food and Nathaniel resigned for the night. "I'm going to have to say no to the bad food, kind of a deal I made with Andy." He said then gave a small wave. "Gnight." He said and headed back to the room, moving towards his girlfriend. He kneeled in front of her and smiled, leaning forwards and kissing her quickly. "Cute family, next year we go to the villa though. There is a room for everyone." He said and laughed. "I love you." He whispered and touched her stomach. "I will see you in the morning."

Andy returned the kiss and grinned a bit as he touched her stomach gently.

"Next year we'll have a little one of our own to show off," she said. "Go on out and join the rest of the guys. It's Christmas, even I'm probably going to have at least a little junk food before we leave." She rubbed her stomach softly. "Still can't feel anything yet, but I'm paying attention for when it happens." Waving a hand to her suitcase, she called the envelope with the ultrasound prints in it to her hand. The envelope had a little red bow on it. "It'll be midnight in a few minutes, if you want to open these then. Technically Christmas."

He smiled and moved her over a little to sit beside her. "I was actually going to lay down because with everyone around and not being able to touch you, my head kind of hurts. But I'm willing to stay up with you a little while longer." He said as the kids were put to bed by their parents and the adults filtered back into the living room to hear the results. "Wait a second." He said, jumping up and running to his room, grabbing her present and sliding it into his pocket and then went back to the living room and slid beside her. "Alright, how long?" He asked and pressed his lips to her hair, and wrapped an arm around her.

"A few minutes," Andy said as she leaned against him. She had the envelope on her lap, under her hands. She glanced around as everyone over the age of twelve filtered into the room. "What, does everyone think they're going to listen in on this? I don't think so, this is between Nathaniel and I until morning." She made a shooing motion with her hands.

"We already know," Aaron and Daniel pointed out together.

"So shut up till morning," Andy said. "I'll pass around the prints once the presents are opened."

Nathaniel smirked and then took her hand. "Come here, no reason to kick 10 people out of a room when just two have to leave." He said and grinned, glad the family wouldn't be there, because he was personally worried about the gift he was about to get her and he didn't need the family chiming in. He led her out onto the back enclosed deck and then moved to stand behind her, his arms around her, resting on her stomach.

"I love you, Andy. I'm glad I could meet your family and I'm able to spend Christmas with them. Lord knows they're better than my own." The clock started dinging and he kissed her hair again. "Ready?" He asked and pulled out her present quietly.

"I love you too," Andy replied softly as she leaned against him. "I'm glad you wanted to meet my family. They're a bit crazy, sometimes, but they mostly mean well." She heard the clock start chiming midnight and grinned. "And now it's Christmas." She held up the envelope and broke the seal on it. "Ready to see the latest pictures of our baby?"

"Yes! Yes double yes. Open it so I can see baby... Open it so I know what name to call our baby!" He said and laughed. "Hurry up!" He said and laughed, ready to take the picture out himself. He instead opened the box quietly and waited for the results. "I love you more than you know right now, but hurry up babe!!"
