Nathaniel wanted to kiss her in that moment but refrained. He touched her shoulder and smiled. "Good night, Andy. And he doesn't propose by the way." He spoked softly and turned. "When you have your child. He doesn't propose then. That I haven't seen, I'm kind of wondering how he does it." He said and smiled. "Thank you for going with me. Don't forget to lock the door in the bathroom in the morning. G'night." He whispered and then yawned, padding to his room and falling face fist into his bed. he was sleep before his head hit the pillow.

Andy watched him go, and then finished making dinner. Taking some for herself, she wrapped the rest up and stored it in the fridge. Heading quietly into the living room, she turned on the TV for a little while, keeping the volume low so it didn't bother Nathaniel. She didn't know why, but she really wanted to watch a romance, so she turned on Letters to Juliet.

Once the movie was over, she turned off the lights and and went into her room quietly. She'd intended on reading for a while, but at some point between getting the book and starting to read, she ended up falling asleep.

The next morning Nathaniel awoke grumpily. "Uhnnn... Too early." He moaned and then threw his legs off the bed. He stripped, grabbed clean clothes and padded to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and locked the door, then slid into the shower. He quickly showered, amazed he'd beat Andy, and he got out quickly so not to take all the hot water. He quickly redressed into the clean clothes and then moved to knock on her door. "Shower's free." He said and unlocked the door and went back into his room. He got everything ready for the day and then headed to the kitchen. He got out the leftovers to eat for breakfast, heated it up and sat on the couch, eating.

He was going to accompany Andy to her first class, not wanting Becky to get her hands on her because he was rude enough not to walk with her.

Andy woke up when Nathaniel knocked on her door. Sitting up, she realized she was still dressed in yesterday's clothes.

"Alright, I'm up," she called back. Stripping, she grabbed her towel and wrapped it around herself before heading into the bathroom. It didn't take her long to shower and brush her teeth, and she went back into her room quickly to dress. It was still warm out, since it was only the beginning of Sepember, so instead of jeans, she pulled out a plain summer dress. Making sure to put on a strapless bra instead of a regular one, she got dressed, slipping on her shoes as she grabbed her brush and brushed out her hair. Once she was ready, she picked up her bag and went out into the kitchen for breakfast.

"Morning," she said as she got herself some cereal.

"Good morning sunshine." He teased and continued eating the leftover dinner. "This isn't half bad." He said and stuck another bite in his mouth chewing. "What classes do you have today? I haven't heard anything about to day I don't think. It's going to be rather calm if all goes well." He swirled his food on his plate and then stuck another bite in his mouth, chewing and swallowing. He realized it didn't matter what Andy wore, she would always look feminine, beautiful, graceful. Everything all at once. Even though she wasn't too graceful at all, at least, not with her powers.

"I have my English class, my Literature class, and my major class," Andy replied. "English and Literature are back to back before lunch, then my major class is afterwards." Glancing over at him, she caught him staring at her. "What? Is there a stain on my dress or something? What are you looking at?"

Nathaniel shook his head, rolling his eyes. "Nothing, just... I wonder if you know just how much men look at you?" He said and then stood and shook his head. "I'm not saying it's a bad thing, you deserve the appreciation, I just don't want you surprised if you go through college and meet an arse around every corner. Let me walk you to class though, alright? I'm not ready to here about the Becky incident just yet."

"I'm female," Andy replied dryly. "Last I checked, males tended to look at females, unless they swung the other way. Besides, most of the guys on this campus my age are the ones I graduated high school with. They all think I'm frigid, or that I like girls." Finishing her breakfast, she washed the bowl quickly and left it to dry. "I'm rather proud of myself for that, actually. I didn't date at all through high school, or through college so far."

"Eesh, I don't think I could have handled high school without dating. I needed it so every girl didn't crowd me and I'd have to hear all of their futures. One was enough for me. That's why saying I'm dating someone works for me, usually they back off. But college is completely different than high school. It just makes them want me more." He muttered and checked the time. "Hurry up if you want to be in class on time."

"I couldn't afford to let anyone get so close to me," Andy pointed out and she grabbed her bag. "I couldn't let anyone know that I was different. I was already being paranoid as it was. I had to lock everything down all day, five days a week, and I could never invite friends over to my house." As they walked out of the room, she locked the door mentally. "I had a new roomate every year once I started college. A few times I had a new one every semester. So keeping people at arms' length is kind of a habit by now."

Nathaniel nodded, walking her to class. At lunch he ran back to the suite to grab a book he'd forgotten. He climbed down the stairs and then stopped. "Now, now now... Nathaniel... You should have told me the moment you saw me smile at you... You're fucking the little twit aren't you." Then he realized it. It wasn't a flash. It was reality.

"Becky... Becky Listen! I'm sorry, this isn't-- I'm not..."

"I don't care Nathaniel... See..." He felt a bat connect with his knees. There were others there. He could hear the heels. So much for his power. "I have this think. It's called Telekinesis." She said and smiled, picking up a rock and hovering it over her hand. "And I'm pretty good." She said and he heard a car turn on. "Hmmm drive. That's up and to the left right?" SHe asked her friends and they giggled. He heard the car go into gear and roll forward at him. "I know, I know. It's hard to believe no one is in the car... But it's true." He stared, frightened.

"Becky, I didn't mean for you to get--" The car stopped and revved the engine.

"What? For me to get hurt? Oh Nathaniel. Too late. It's your turn now." Becky said with a smile and he heard the car move again.

Andy headed back to the suite after her second class, intent on making herself a decent lunch for a change. Sitting in her room with her lunch, she opened the window to let the breeze in. That's when she heard something strange. It sounded like... high heels? And then there was Becky's voice... Her heart skipped a beat when she realized what was going on, and she rushed out to the parking garage. She got there just in time to see the car starting to roll towards Nathaniel.

"Becky, are you insane?!" she shouted as she mentally reached into the car and pulled the emergency brake. It didn't stop the car's momentum completely, so she wrapped her mind around it and pulled backwards. Once the car was stopped, she went to help Nathaniel up.

Nathaniel shook his head. "Andy go!" He said, his knees screaming in pain. He saw the rock before he felt it slam into his gut. It was dark in the garage, not much was visible. "Andy, lights. Turn them on. Cars, garage... He coughed a little and groaned trying to pull back. "She's tele--" He coughed again. "Kinetic."

Becky laughed and in the dim light he could see her standing poised. "She's got rocks Andy!" He said and pulled himself backwards by his arms towards the stairs.

"Another one?" Andy asked, genuinely surprised. "Seems we're not as rare as I thought, then." Reaching into the car with her power, she clicked on the lights, doing the same for the lights of the garage itself. With the area so well-lit, she could clearly see Becky with her handful of rocks. She grinned at the rage on Becky's face. "What? You thought you were the only special one around here?"

Nathaniel screamed as flashforwards popped into his brain. He pointed to the girl whose voice matched best. "She's a seer. Vision only. One's an empath... Owww!" He screamed and wanted to touch his knees but they hurt bad enough as it were. He pulled out his phone and then heard Becky laugh as it flew away from him.

"No, I knew there were more. I suspected you to be one but not Nathaniel..." She threw the rocks in their general direction then turned, getting into a pink convertible and pulling out. "Why does the fact she owns a --" He coughed and laid on his back. "Pink car not surprise me?"

Andy watched as she pulled out, and made sure her friends were gone before getting Nathaniel off the ground.

"Come on," she said softly, "let's get you inside and comfortable, then I'll see what I can do about your knees. You may have to go to the infirmary, just warning you now." Gently, she levitated him off the ground and manually picked up his phone. Carefully, she got him back into the building and up to their suite, making sure nobody saw them. Once they were inside, she took him into his room and set him on the bed. Her head was throbbing dully from the exertion, but she ignored it. Going into the kitchen, she got him a few ice packs.

"I wasn't aware my little hometown had become a hotbed," she murmured as she took care of him. "Families must be really paranoid, to keep it even from each other..."

Nathaniel watched her leave, amazed she hadn't dropped him. She was getting stronger. "I'm not a baby and I'll be fine. My knees are just a little out of whack." He then groaned as the ice packs were applied. "Your hometown sucks! I hate it here." He said and groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Can you hand me the bottle on the dresser. All I can hear is her laughing. She laughs a lot in the future, it's annoying the hell out of me."

He rubbed his eyes, then sighed. "I can't do this. I can't stay in this place, even for a small college it isn't small enough. I need tiny, like online college. I try and try to hold a normal life with this burden... but I can't. It's impossible."

"Try to block it out," Andy suggested. "Try to pull up something happier, more pleasant. Maybe that will make her laughing stop. You need to get away from the painkillers. Soon they won't be able to help anymore." Gently, she laid an ice pack on his forehead. She was being careful not to use her power any more. The dull throbbing was slowly turning into a full-blown migrane, and she didn't want to make it worse.

Nathaniel grabbed her hand and looked at her quietly. "Until they stop working, I need them." He said and frowned. "You look wiped. Skip class and lay down and rest. I know I'm going to." He said and then let go of her hand. "Now pills. Please?" Pain relievers... Hmmm some of them were. So he wouldn't tell her the truth. It's not like she needed to hear what a terrible person he was. And he really was a terrible person. He just... Couldn't tell the girl he had kids with. He couldn't change the future, it looked too promising.

"I still say you need to get off these things," Andy said as she reluctantly handed him the bottle. "I think I will skip my last class... I need to sleep off this migrane. I forced my brain to do more than it's used to, and now it's punishing me for it." Taking his phone out of her pocket, she set it gently next to his bed and stood up. "I may actually end up sleeping all afternoon, so if I'm not awake by dinner, don't worry."

"Good night, Andy." He muttered and pulled out two different coloured pills and slid them into his mouth. "Rest easy." His knees stopped screaming at him almost instantly and he crashed, his eyes shutting just before his heart slowed to a tired, sleeping pace. Nathaniel woke to his phone ringing and he grabbed it, feeling its rough edges from where it had hit cement when Becky had pulled it from his hand.

He answered it with a rough, gravelly voice. "'Ello?" He asked and heard his dad cough in the background. "Aniel, Aniel... We uhmmm. We thought we'd... come by for a visit."

Nathaniel groaned and flopped to his back. "That's not allowed here Mom. Just like it wasn't allowed at U of A, or MU." He heard his brother chuckle.

"That didn't stop us last time!" He groaned and rolled his eyes. "Fine. I can't stop you. 2 days. Max. Then you have to leave. I can't bother Andy anymore than she needs to be."

"She?! Andy? They dormed you with a girl. Oh hell no, you NEED us there." His mother started to rant and Nathaniel hung up, checking the time. 10 Pm, and if they were just now calling... They were already on their way. Probably close by. He slid out of bed and screamed when pressure was put on his knees. "OW!" He groaned and grabbed on to his dresser to hold him up. He hobbled, using other things to support himself, mostly walls.

"Andy..." He called and looked on the couch, not seeing her. He moved to her bedroom and knocked. "Andy... Please wake up. We need to talk."

Andy groaned as Nathaniel's voice woke her. Her head still ached, telling her she hadn't slept long enough for the exertion to have faded. She sat up and winced when her head throbbed for a moment before returning to the dull ache.

"Not so loud," she murmured as she got up and physically opened the door. "What's going on?"

Nathaniel's head was spinning, probably from the oxycotin he had taken earlier. "Mmmm..." He muttered looked at her. "Sorry to have woken you.. But... My parents have been kicked out... And... I told them no. But they insisted. They'll be here for two days. I told them that was the max and that they couldn't disturb you further. I'm sorry to have woken you but I never know when they will show up." He looked at her once more and at the bags under her eyes. "You're cute when you're tired. Go back to bed. Just thought you should know." He said and touched her hair slowly and his legs were killing him but it didn't matter. Something about the girl... His head ache faded, her perfume or something made it all easier to deal with.

"Hmmm... You make the headaches fade..." He whispered and leaned his head on the door. He reached out and touched her cheek and it disappeared. All traces of his headaches. He felt better just by the touch. He stopped and let go and he could hear voices again. He reached forward once more, touching her neck and they faded again. "Holy crap."

"I'd be more impressed if I could make MY headache go away," Andy deadpanned. She was tired, her head hurt, and somehow they were going to have people staying in the suite. Wonderful. Maybe it would sound easier to deal with once her headache faded. "Brain still tired. Need more sleep."

Nathaniel frowned and nodded, kissing her forehead. "Go back to sleep." He said and his headache vanished. Oh that was wonderful. Just the brief moments when he touched her. How had he not noticed it before? He of course was usually high or drugged up with cough syrup, maybe that's why. She was the perfect antidrug drug! "Have a good night." He spoke softly and looked at her outfit. "I like it." He grinned and shut the door, then moved to the couch steadily, his knees now just a soft pang. He looked down and saw they were black and blue, and slightly swollen. The ice packs did their job, he could at least walk.

He heard a knock on the door and sighed. He opened it and saw his mother, father and brother. "YOu two get the bedroom. You get the couch." He stated the last to his brother who frowned. "I don't get the other bedroom?"

"No, it's for Andy. I'm breaking rules as it is. You will stay away from her." He said and his mother looked around as his father immediately went for the fridge. "No, it's late already. Go to bed. Stop digging around. This is NOT your house. Go!" He said, and his parents muffled their way into his bedroom and gasped.

"Nathaniel!" He rolled his eyes and walked in slowly, his knees killing him. He grabbed the ice-now water-bags and picked up his pills as his mother examined the bottle. "Those don't look like Advil to me." She said and he glared. She shut up and his father got in bed without taking his shoes off.

"Shut up mom. Sleep. Dad, shoes. No TV, you may wake Andy. Go to bed." He went to his closet, grabbed two extra blankets and left the room, shutting the door. He put a blanket on the couch by his brother who was flipping through magazines. "Sleep." He said and then laid down his own blanket on the floor. He put his head down and frowned. He knew it was coming.

"I don't have a pillow, Aniel." He glanced at the boy.

"Deal, Nicky." He said and then closed his eyes. And the headaches screamed back up.
