Shadow couldn't explain how bored he was. It was a typical day at school, and honestly, it couldn't have been more boring. All of his friends were in differant classes and he was stuck with a bunch of losers. He had grown tired of spitballs an paper hornets were no fun anymore. Why couldn't people at least TRY to make learning fun? He laid his head on his desk and tried to fall asleep. The voice of his teacher was like a lullaby, luring him into lala land. He hummed absently, them fell asleep. "Shadow...Shadow Vladimir! Boy! You'd better wake up and listen t me when I talk to you!" Shadow lifted his head, half forgeting were he was. "Do not sleep in my class!" Shadow sat upright. "O...sorry miss.cashmere..." he said in a tone that suggested he could careless.

Tristyn walked through the school, listening to the secretary tell him about the school. It was so different than the one back home. So he was a bit nervous to be here. Sure, he was honored to be chosen for the exchange program. Didn't stop him from being nervous. They finally arrived at the classroom and the secretary knocked on the door. "Miss Cashmere. Your new student is here." she said, opening the door and stepping inside.

Mrs. Cashmere answered the door and welcomed the new student in. "Hi there. We've been expecting you for quite a bit. It's nice to have you." The woman said with a cheesy teacher smile. She sat him in a seat beside Shadow. "Class, this is Tristyn. He new here and I'd like it of you'd welcome him." she stated in an annoying old lady way.

The secretary left, smiling at them. Tristyn slowly walked in and to the seat he was supposed to, his eyes on the floor. He took the seat and briefly glanced around before dropping his eyes. He really didn't want to make a bad first impression, but he also wasn't sure how to make a good one. He just wanted the class to like him.

Shadow looked at the boy and another kid mouthed the word 'emo' at him. Shadow shook his head and mouthed back 'kinda cute' he looked over the boy for a second or two. He wasn't exactaly like all the people Shadow hung out with, but somehow he had an odd charm about him. He poked the kid in the ribs. "Hi there, I'm Shadow." he introduced himself. Shadow was on of those kids that everyone thought was a snob just because he was rich and popular. In truth he was really just the same as anyone else. "We can be friends if you'd like." he whispered to Tristyn.

Tristyn turned and looked at the kid who poked him. "Hello.. I'm Tristyn.. Its nice to meet you, Shadow." he told him, his voice low. He knew that he would probably get in trouble for talking in class. And that wasn't something he wanted. Especially not on the first day. "I would really like it if we could be friends." he added, smiling slightly.

Shadow giggled softly at how shy the new kid seemed. "well we can talk more at lunch, we really shouldn't be talking in class." he had also dropped his voice. He started on his work.

Tristyn nodded. "Yeah. That would be best." he whispered. Then he turned back to what the teacher was saying. She explained what they were doing and gave him some work to do which he instantly got started on.

When the class was over and the bell had rung, Shadow walked with Tristyn. "So, where's your next class? I can help you find it." he offered. A few people looked at the two and pointed, whispering gossip. A glare from Sadow made a few girls that had been staring turn away. "Ignore all of them, we don't get new students very often."

"Its alright. They don't bother me. They're just like the girls back home." Tristyn told him. He pulled out his schedule to look at it. "I have biology next." he said. He was grateful for help since he really didn't think he would be able to find the room on his own. At least, not easily.

Shadow laughed. "Actually, that's what I have this period." he was glad to see that this new friend of his was in yet another class. "That class is kind of laid back, so the teacher lets as talk." he smiled. "She's awesome like that ya know?"

Tristyn smiled slightly. "None of my teachers ever let us talk in class. We were supposed to pay attention to each lesson." he told him. "So, lead the way to the class." he said, indicating for him to lead them out and to the classroom.

Shadow lead the other boy to the classroom and smiled at him. "Well, this is it. Our biology class." he was a bit excited to go to this class because they could talk in here. That meant he could ask Tristyn questions. Like were he was from, just stuff to get to know him better.

Tristyn smiled back at him. He always did enjoy biology and other types of sciences. But he knew that they would get the chance to talk. That would be great. First day and he was already making a friend. Sure, he was going to miss his friends back home. But they were going to keep in touch. "So. Where should I sit?" he asked.

He smirked. "That's another great thing about this class. We can sit were we want."he set his backpack down. "I'm going to sit right here. You can sit beside me." they didn't really have desk in this class, they were tables that had many chairs at them so more than one, more like ten, people sat at the same area. It was that way so that group experiments were easier. Shadow waited for the teacher came in and them they began their experiment for today. The teacher was an odd woman. She was short and thin with black hair and pale green eyes. She was in her twenties and she really liked to have fun. Shadow turned to Tristyn. "So, were did you come from? Was it really far away or close?" that was his first question

He nodded and set his bag down before taking a seat by Shadow. When the teacher came in, Tristyn instantly turned to her to hear what they were doing. When Shadow spoke, he turned back to him. "i was born and raised in London. Spent my entired life there. This is the first time every leaving." he told him.

Shadow didn't really like today's assignment. Before him was a sheep heart. He looked back at Tristyn. "Wow...this is gross...we have to dissect this nasty thing.." he thought over what his new friend had said. "London huh? That's cool. I've never been there before." he smiled. "It's nice to have cool friends from all over the place." he had a friend from Japan too. "So, my next question is." he thumped his fingers on the table like a drumroll. "What's your favorite color? They say that if you don't know a person's favorite color then you're not really thier friend. I'm not sure who exactly 'they' are though." he chuckled lightly.

Tristyn looked at the sheep's heart. This will be easy to dissect. He's done it before. "Its a great place. But I have always wanted to see the world. Visit new places. Now I finally can." he said, smiling slightly. He laughed slightly as well at what Shadow said next then thought about the question. "I'd have to say black. What about you?" he asked.

"Hmm" He thought over it for a moment. "I think Red would be my favorite of all. I like teal too." He made an incision on the heart.

"Those are both good colors." he said, watching Shadow cut in the heart. ".. What's your favorite food?" he asked, wanting to get to know him better.

"MMM..Pizza defiantly. It's gooey and yummy and just so....good.." He did in fact love pizza. "What's your favorite?"

He thought about it. "Either fish and chips or lamb stew." he said. "My mum makes the best lamb stew in the world." he added. At least to him it was the best.

He looked at him and smiled. "I'm pretty sure I've never had either of those things in my life." he wondered Whay those dishes looked or tasted like. They didn't serve stuff like that in most restaurants.
