all anxiously waiting for the day to end
what is school but an obscene, unclean
waste of day
teaching, learning never what they say

Every school day 7000 high school students drop out. It makes one wonder by the end of the year how many people are left and who’s next to give up? After graduation below 50% will go to college, and throughout the years, only 20% of the that will actually obtain of sort of college degree. Numbers were looking bad especially for those who were could barely pass, getting by on doing all the homework since test grades never looked so hot. Being an athlete could get you by, but going to college for a sport was never certain. The school system just seemed to get worse and worse the older one became. For a lot of young men and women there was another option however...
The army.
Or Navy, ect. Whatever one can desire. This was a reality real and passed down throughout the Knight generation. With a surname like that, it only seemed proper. Jin Knight was a wide receiver in a high school football team. He wasn’t the best but he was known enough about the school to have a comfortable setting amongst the different clicks. He was a senior now--time to prepare for the future. The navy. That was his future and he accepted it. This was in his family. Jin was even born on a military base. Although his parents wanted to raise him in their country of origin. At first they sent his to a private catholic school. Along with the army background came the religion. Jin accepted this too, no problems. He was an easy going kid, always did what he was told.
“Clean your room.”
“Finish this assignment.”
“Hey, take a shot of this.”
“Get a dragon tattooed on your arm.”
No problems, no sweat. Jin really didn’t care as long as it wouldn’t kill him. He wasn’t much of a drinker, but it went with his crowd. He had made himself what people wanted. This is how Jin got through life. No one could criticize as long as he himself was happy.

It was a Tuesday morning, another normal school day. Jin hitched a ride with some of the other players from his school’s teams to school. The varsity jacket, a plain white crewneck and some straight black jeans. Jin was an average size amongst the group as well, not the biggest but not the smallest. He had short dirty blonde hair but he promised after graduation he would shave it all off. In preparation of course!
They arrived before the bell and had time to stop and talk like every other teenage crowd flooding the hallways.
“Did you hear about that Honors Anatomy project coming up?”
“Yeah, Ms. Bills said we’d have a partner though, so making a too scale model of the human bones can’t be too hard.”
“As long as you get partnered with someone smart.”
“Really it’s no big deal,” Jin finally chimed in. “I’ll catch you guys after class.”
And so another day has started. What new adventures await!
Yeah right!

Alex woke up to the sound of dishes clattering and the smell of bacon. It was another horrible morning and Alex knew he had to get up. He stood and went to get ready, quickly showering and pulling his clothes on. Alex was just another nerdy kid. He was shy, small, had no muscle tone, and a pretty face. Those kind of features, plus his all A grades and long studing times had earned him the title of nerd. When he was younger he didn't really mind, but now he didn't take all the verbal abuse so well. He was only treated kindly when kids needed him to help the cheat or wanted some other favor. He grabbed his toast and ran out to catch the bus.

At school, Alex was terrorized the second he stepped on the property. "Hey! You!" Alex turned to see some meathead jocks talking to him. He held his books tighter to his chest and started to walk away. One grabbed his arm and he dropped the books, sprinting away, only to be caught by the stringer faster boys. They picked up his books and looked through them. They were all manga and the boys smirked at him. "Wow...how cute. Since you like these comics so much, we have a little present for you. The one who had him tightened his grip and held his wrists behind his back. They started unbuttoning his jeans and his eyes went wide with sheer terror. "P-Please...don't...just leave me alone.." He begged. His jeans were replaced with girls shorts and his whole outfit replaced with a girls. They forced him the wear cat ears, a tail, and a collar with a little bell. He blushed bright red, completely humiliated as people around them laughed and pointed at him. The cruel boys then threw his original clothes on the roof and took his money. He wanted to go somewhere and cry, but he managed to keep it in. He hated it when these punks messed with him. He shimmied up the flag pole and climbed onto the roof, grabbing his clothes and putting them back on, throwing the cat ears and stuff away. Now off to Ms. Bills class for more torture.

Jin liked to hang out with the jocks that did a lot of drinking and drugs, rather than pick on the weaker. But all in all they still were in the same click. Everybody on the football team as well as the wrestling team stuck together. If Jin was there he would help pick on one of the smart weird kids that was okay with him. While the bell was ringing and class was starting Jin had already distracted himself with his paper and pencil.

"Dude, what are you doing?"

Jin turned to the boy next to him and hushed him as the teacher started to speak.

"Now everyone knows today I'm assigning the big partner project...." Jin stopped listening. He didn't have ADD or anything but what the woman was saying was certainly too boring to listen to until he listed off his partner. "Jin and Alex." Who the hell was that? "Now get with your partner and is us your game plan!" Jin sat still. He'd let the kid come to him.

Alex felt like he might die. Not only did he have to do a project that he had no intrest in doing, he had to do it with a dumb jock. No doubt that guy didn't even know who he was, so he'd have to go to him. He'd also probably end up doing all of the work too, he was used to always being treated like this by now. It was just one of the things he had to deal with as a dorly high school kid. He walked over to Jin and sat in a desk near him, but still andecent distance away. He'd always been kind of shy and talking to someone who was so much higher in status than him was nerve racking. "Um. I'm Alex..." he said, quietly and without looking at Jin. He was so nervous and he felt rather jumpy. He was afraid that this guy wouldnpick on him and make his life miserable just like of his buddies did. Then again, the jocks were all stupid and this guy would probably have to be nice, because he needed Alex to do the project for him. That was the way it had always been for him. Without another word he began to write down stuff on a sheet of lapsed in his neat, pretty handwriting. He was already starting on ideas for the project, knowing that Jin had no interest in working with him. He was just a loser to all of them, a dork. He'd be surprised if Jin even talked to him at all this entire time.

Jin didn't look up from his paper for a good ten minutes after the other boy had arrived. He was drawing a pretty picture and would offer it up as a peace offering to the other kid. It was a joke, though. Obviously Jin was the more liked of the two and most of the time he did his own work--though not well--so the teacher also had no problem with him. Though this kid perhaps didn't know Jin that well. He just assumed he was like every other "jock" and well... he was!

"Whoa whoa whoaa!" Jin finally looked up at the other boy--he had already forgotten his name or rather he hadn't been paying attention when the other told him. "Slow down! I have an idea! We're gonna get a GIANTTT sheet of paper and lay you on it in the hall, you see," This speech was complete with hand motions. "Then we're gonna trace you twice and draw in EVERY SINGLE bone. Good idea or great idea?"

Alex looked at Jin, slightly suspicious. "I guess we could do that." he went to get the paper and got a marker. "so...You wan me to lay down on this paper and you're going to trace me right?" He laid the paper down and then laid on it. "Alright...I'm ready I guess." he was still not really trusting Jin. He figured maybe this guy was really diffrant than the other jocks...one could only hope. He wasn't really wanting to do this project all by himself.
