Name:
Jack Thomson

Age:
Just turned 17

Personality:
Jack is a rational thinker most of the times, and usually has a giant smiled plastered onto his face. He's not judgemental, and likes to hang out with mostly everyone. He knows how to cheer people up, and acts like a bit of a dork at times. Overall he's easy going and fun to be around.

Additional Information:
Jack has been going out with his girlfriend for approximately 2 and half months now, though he spends more time with his long time neighbour and best friend Giselle. He is very unlikely to do homework, so tends to get "help" from his smart friends. His parents are divorced, so he lives with his mother and has a younger brother who's 12. While Jack would rather have fun then study, his version of fun is things like going bowling or playing lazer tag with friends, as he's not too fond of drinking parties, or other such parties.

A loud bang sounded at Giselle's bedroom door at approximately six pm the first morning of her senior year. She should have warned herself about getting back into this swing last night, but she failed to do so. So naturally, she jumped slightly, raising her head and taking in her surroundings. First day of senior year, right. She groaned and rubbed a hand over her face.

"Giselle? You up? I have breakfast ready. Get dressed so we can eat," her father said from the other side of the bedroom door.

Giselle's face scrunched up in disgust. She was never one for breakfast. It always made her feel sick the first hour of school, but she had to endure it. Maybe if she just at least get some orange juice and a banana in her, she could get her father off of her back. "Yeah, I'm up!" Giselle called back as she she groaned out of tiredness and plopped her face back down in the pillow, moving her hand out from under her thin sheet to search around her nightstand for her glasses.

She eventually got to her feet and put on her glasses, pulling up her blinds so that the late summer morning sun can pour into her room to act as the natural light for when she would get ready. She looked across the way in her left window and saw her neighbor, Jack's, blinds still down. She sighed and rolled her eyes with a smirk. Lazy butt, she thought as she grabbed her clothes from her closet and tossed them on her bed. Simple band tee shirt, rolled-up capris, flip flops, and a thin boyfriends sweater to wear just for the morning. She brushed through her wavy brown hair and pulled it up in a simple pony tale, seeing herself over in her mirror. Yes, she was boring, but she could honestly care less. She unplugged her cell phone from its charger and stuffed it into her left pant pocket, opening her bedroom door to head downstairs for, hopefully, a small breakfast.

Jack ran through the forest, dodging trees and other bushes as he did so. He looked behind him to see creatures with rulers and text books were chasing after him, making strange noises that sounded like an alarm. Wait, it was an alarm. Jacks eyes blinked open, a sudden chill coursing through his veins at the thought of school. He squeezed his eyes shut and pulled the sheets back over his head and curled into a ball, trying to block out the constant, repetitive shrill from the alarm clock that he had yet to turn off. Someone climbed what Jack thought were stairs, and yanked open his door. Jack couldnt see who the intruder was in his defence of sheets, but when they were pulled off him, he immediately knew it was his rascal of a brother. Thomas let out a laugh, and jack was forced to get up, chasing him back down the stairs, still only wearing his boxers and singlet.

Jack caught Thomas and threw him around his shoulders, and greeted his mother with a kiss on the cheek. Such were the mornings of school days in Jacks house. This year was different though, it was his first senior year. He placed his brother down and charged back up the stairs, getting ready in 5 minutes flat. His back dangled of his shoulder, bumping his hip from the force of his hectic movements. He graciously accepted a piece of toast, and bid goodbye to his family. He shoved his hands in the pockets of his black skinny jeans, toast still lodged in his mouth, and walked...right into the yard next to him. He took the toast in one hand and used the other to bang on the door. "Yo, Giselle you up?"

Giselle was just scrambling in by the front door at the mat where all of their shoes sat. She leaned over with a hand on the wall to keep her balance as she adjusted the strap on her flip flop. She jumped slightly when a bang sounded at the door. It's only Jack, she told herself as she let out a sigh and straightened up, grabbing her backpack as she flung it over her right shoulder, quickly opening the door. All that stood between Jack and Giselle was an old screen door that needed to be replaced. "Do you even have to ask?" Giselle joked as she opened the screen door and closed all two doors behind her to walk onto the porch next to Jack.

"First day of senior year. You ready?" Giselle asked with a smile. Jack looked so perfect today. No doubt he took less than ten minutes to get ready, but nonetheless, he looked like a model out of a photo shoot for world's most charming men. She got out her keys to her old Navigator and grasped the one key that would unlock the car.

Jack let out a chuckle in agreement, following Giselle to her mode of transport. "do I have choice?" he tugged on her rather silky smooth hair. It was only a light, playful tug so it wouldn't hurt... Too much. He slid to her car door, leaning his back on her door. He took another bite of his unfinished toast, and flashed a small grin. "I bet you are though." he took a step to the side and opened the door for her. Well attempted to but it was locked. He banged his head on the window, mumbling something unintelligible.

Giselle crinkled her face up with laughter as she felt Jack tug on her pony tale. The playful side of Jack was her favorite. He always did it better than anyone else. She then laughed as she watched Jack attempt to be a gentleman. He failed at it, but it was still heart warming. She readied her keys in her hand and put up her hand so her keys were in view as if Jack saw. She pressed the unlock button on the automatic controller she hardly used. "You know me. Always ready," she said as she walked over and playfully bumped her shoulder against his to make him move as she squeezed her hands through to open her door, still giggling, entertained by Jack already. And it was only morning. "If we don't have classes together, I swear I'll cry," she then said in her gossip-like tone she only used when she was in her playful mood and she was talking.

Jack sighed, moving aside grudgingly. "Yeah, so will I. Who will give me the correct answer?" He poked his tongue out at Giselle, arms folded. "Hmmm. You wouldn't happen to have a spare seat? I was going to catch the bus, but I've realized I'm too lazy, and there'll be no one to tease..." he raised an eyebrow questioningly, attempting to look serious than usual.

Giselle laughed and motioned her free hand to the other side of the car where an unlocked door awaited to be open. "Jack, you know I can always give you a ride to school. But are you sure you want to show up in my car?" she questioned him, knowing how much he seemed to have become popular over the years. She put her book bag in the back seat and got in, closing the door as she buckled herself in and put her keys in the ignition, turning the car on so she could pump up the air condition. She hated summer.

Jack rolled his eyes, rolling over the hood to get to the other side. He jumped, buckling his seat belt as well. "It's fine, I'm sure Grabielle doesn't mind, she's used to it." he looked side ways at giselle flashing another grin. He turned his veiw back to the front, and copied Giselle's posture on the driving will, except more exaggerated, like his cheeks puffed out and eyes squinted closed. In a pudgy voice he acknowlwedged he was ready to drive, a custom he did when ever he caught a lift with her.

Giselle laughed lighter this time as she rolled her eyes and pulled out of the parking lot. When they got to school, Giselle made sure she got a parking spot that wasn't too close to the school for Jack's sake, but not too far away. She got out and waited for Jack to get out before she locked her car and slung her back pack over her shoulder. She remained where she was. "I have to stop by the band room to make sure my Clarinet is where it should be. You know how people are these days...practical jokes to steal instruments they don't even know how to play. I'll see you later. Do you ened a ride home?" she questioned.

(( Sorry, I didnt have any internet access, and when I did, I had to sort out the fact that my account got hacked.))

Jack tumbled out of the car, grab and replacing his bag on its rightful place, his left shoulder. "Im always up for lifts, walking sucks!" He turned to go in the opposite direction, laughing in his head over the fact she was so concerned over a instrument. He almost reached the class room before he was greet with a flirtatious call of his name, and turned to see Gabrielle running as fast as she could in her squishy high heel towards, even more awkward with her extremely tight and short pale green skirt. She half tripped half pushed herself into Jack's arms, cutting off all means of oxygen in a bear hug. She pulled back and Jack gasped for air, only for it to be cut off again by a quick kiss. He returned the hug, running his fingers through her hair, secretly smelling the fruity shampoo. He pulled back and cupped her cheek. "Good morning, its been a few days." She gave a nervous laugh.
"I know... But still... Its a long time!!" A tinge of pink touched her cheeks, even though they were already covered in a light red blush. She grabbe his hand, pulling him into the class room, just as the bell rung. Jack sighed, playing along, school and truly started.

(It's okay! Don't worry about it. :) I noticed that in a few of my posts, I accidentally called her Bella. I apologize!)

Giselle just snapped her lock into place on her band locker. Everything was where it should be. Her Clarinet was the way she left it and even her sheet music was the way she left it in her band folder. Knowing that her first period was art, she hurried out of the band room at the sound of the morning bell. She ran hurried past hordes of clustering peers and hurried to the second floor where the art room was. She had just made it as the final bell sounded and she was in her seat by the time the morning announcements started and Mrs. Heluscia took attendance. she couldn't wait to get her schedule.

Jack looked around the room, no Giselle. He sunk into his chair. While he was glad he had his girlfriend in his class, Giselle was fun to banter with. His fidgeting girlfriend took very seriously, something he expected from a cheer leader. He liked her for other reasons, like how hot she was, and she was relatively smart, and ... Yeah. It wasnt easily explained. After a brief role call, they were all handed their rosters. Jack quickly skimmed through his, discarded it after learning his first lesson was woodwork. Everyone cleared the room seconds after, each going to their lessons. After a good bye kiss from his girlfriend, he went his own way as well, hoping there weren't too many losers in his class

It was lunchtime. The very period that Giselle dreaded every single new school year. Would she have someone to sit with who she knew? She wouldn't know until she found out. She honestly didn't want to be sitting by herself. She didn't have to stop by her locker, so she just went straight to the lunch room when the bell rang. Hopefully the courtyard would be open for lunch. She could probably find a place to keep to herself there if the situation called for it.

She entered the lunch room only to find herself early. Students were slowly piling in as she got in line for lunch. She grabbed a tray of Turkey Deli with carrots and a cup of chopped pineapple. She would definitely throw out the pineapple. She hated that fruit. No sign of anyone she knew or was friends with yet, she found an empty table and sat down, looking towards the door that led to the courtyard. Guess it was closed to day. It was closed and a lunch period adviser stood in front of it, blocking it on guard. Just to make herself not look so awkward, she pulled out her book she was recently reading. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

(( This will be fun for me, high schools where I live don't have cafeterias as such. Only canteensor packed lunches. ))

Jack slammed his locker shut, trying to stop the all the paper he had received from English leaving it. Even being his for only less than a day, it already looked like a bombshell had exploded in it. He made his way to the cafeteria, deciding on whether or not to line up or eat his safety sandwiches. He peered over the gigantic line of hungry students to try and see what the offers where. Not seeing anything that inticed him, he stuck with his sandwiches. He felt a tug on his hand, and wasn't surprised to see Gabrielle standing there, with a rather scary smile on her face. He gulped and she led him to a table that was empty besides a few of her friends. It was silent for moment and she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger, obviously thinking of a conversation starter. Jack continued to devour his sandwiches, not feeling inclined to talk. Gabrielle slammed Her hands down on the table, her rings and bracelets making little clicking sounds with the connection. Uphased she channeled her continuous string of questions and statements at Jack, which he nodded and grunted ate appropriate times, thinking about other stuff. Like if Giselle was sitting alone. He rested his head in his propped up hand, knowing her and everyone else she probably would be. He tried to look around to see if he could see her, but a light tap on his shoulder indicated that he had forgot to keep up with the conversation. He turned back, nodding as if he had payed attention the whole time, hoping he hadn't been asked a question.

(Really? o.o)

Giselle saw Jack. She saw him alright. Of course he was forced to sit with his pathetic excuse of a girlfriend Gabrielle. And of course those two had lunch together. Giselle was secretly hoping that maybe...just maybe they would finally have lunch together without Gabrielle. Giselle always wandered what that would exactly be like. To have friend with him. It had been years since that happened. But then Gabrielle came along and such. Giselle really didn't have room to talk. Gabrielle simply kept to herself whenever she was around Giselle, although they used to be friends in middle school and then went their opposite ways. She used to make fun of Giselle, but she let it go...hopefully. Though, whenever she was caught talking to Jack whenever Gabrielle was around, she would received death glares and a set of rolled eyes. She sighed again and ate her lunch in silence as she allowed herself to get lost in her book just until the bell would ring. She had study hall in the auditorium next. Study hall in the auditorium meant the ability to talk--Giselle hoped she had study hall with someone to talk to...

(( Yep. It's either you bring money to buy snacks or pack your own lunch. ))

Jack swore he almost fell asleep during the conversation. It had jumped from how sucky the teachers already are, to what kind of shoe fits her foot more. He didn't if it was a hint for a date or her upcoming birthday, so he continued staring at her, hopefully not looking as blank as he felt. He had study hall next. That meant being able to sleep. The auditorium was a fair ways away from the cafeteria, so Jack excused himself with a kiss, claiming he needed to use the bathroom. He made his way over before the hallways would be packed. He wanted to have a full lesson worth of sleep.

When the bell finally rang the students piled into the auditorium. Hoping to get good seats probably. jack had grabbed one of the seats in the back rows. It seemed his being early paid off. He stared at the doorway, wondering who would be in his class when he saw Giselle. She was also one of the first to enter. Looking around to make sure Grabielle wasn't there, he gestured to Giselle, pulling her attention to the spare seat next to him.

When Giselle looked around to see if there was anyone she knew, seeing Jack motion her over was just enough to put a wide smile on her face. She walked over to the seat next to him and sat down, putting her book bag in the seat beside her. She scooted down so she could prop her legs up on the seat in front of her as she folded her hands on her stomach. "Well hey there, stranger," she said, still smiling. "How's your classes so far. Any teachers you know you're gonna hate?" she asked.

Mr. Myers, an old teacher who must have been in this school since he was a kid, walked in, getting out a seating chart to set up. "Now listen here, guys. Where you're sitting at today is where you'll be sitting for the rest of this semester. So choose wisely. Please, no drinks or food. And try and keep your inside voices intact," he instructed.

Giselle looked around and then gave Jack a tight smile. "I think I'm wise with the seat I've chosen," she said followed by a short laugh at herself.

"Of course I chose the best seat for us. Now I can sleep, and you can be less lonely!!" Jack stated mockingly, leaning back into his chair, closing one eye and setting the other on Giselle. "and about the teachers... I dnt like any of them. They make me work." he made a choking sound and stuck out his tongue. "Besides that though. The English teacher is a nightmare. Miss... Connerwary I think it is. I can't remember, I try to forget sinful memories. What about you?"

Giselle just smirked and rolled her eyes, shaking her head slightly at Jack as she dug in her back pack for her book. "Ah yes...Miss Connerwary. Betchya won't even forget those lovely memories," she teased him with a giggle as she opened her book to her marked page. "My teachers are alright. So far not bad. Just hoping my science teacher this year won't be yet another fail," she murmured. Even though she knew Jack would be sleeping, she wouldn't feel as lonely as she was expecting to feel sitting by herself elsewhere.

"Sience... Just the word sends shivers up my spine." Jack frantically shivered to emphasize. "You will probably get a good one, im morel ikely to get the bad ones as we've discovered in English." He yawned and leaned back onto the table, crossing his arms to make a pillow.

Giselle giggled once more at his response to her teasing. She just forced her mouth shut, forcing a thin line that made it obvious she was trying not to laugh further. "I hope so," she murmured as she turned her head back to her book and went back to her reading. When the period ended, Giselle got to her feet and put her book back in her backpack as she slung it over her shoulder. She turned to Jack with a calmed expression. "Where do you go next?" she asked, hoping she had the next period with him. More than one class with Jack. That was she was asking for.

Jack mumbled an intelligible answer, as he had really fallen asleep. he slowly stretched and got up checking his timetable. "Aw man speak of the devil I have science next! What about you?" He looked up at Giselle, if they had science together it would be bearable. One he'd have the correct answers, and two shed have the luck of the teachers.

Giselle held herself from yelping with happiness. She threw her arms around him and quickly retreated. "Yes! We have science together! That just totally made my day!" she said as she walked with him through the crowd. Science with Jack. That was so great. Her day wasn't going as bad as she thought it'd be. Her first days were always bad. But this time, things were turning up for the best. "Are you going to bother with homecoming? Because I'm not," Giselle suddenly said as her eyes caught on an advertising poster for homecoming. She twisted her nose up in disgust. She was never one for school dances. The only one she'd consider going to was her senior Prom...and she was still debating about going to that one.
