Alexander blew his whistle as the goalie slipped in the mud yet again. This time though, he slid head first into the goal post. It was half way through the day and had been raining the entire morning. The muddy ground was making soccer hard to play, but the coach refused to have an indoor class three days in a row. I rained too much here. "Oi, Trevor, you okay?!" Alex yelled. The boy sat up dizzily, but otherwise made no move, his hand holding onto his head. When the coach ran over, he saw the cut leaking blood onto the boy's hand. Letting out a sigh, Alex helped the boy to stand. "I'll take him to the nurse," he told the rest of the class. "The rest of you go through the drills and try not to hurt yourselves for once!" With that, he started towards the nurses office with Trevor in tow.

Sebastian was just finishing up with another student who had broke their wrist by skateboarding. Kids really should be more careful, its easy to get hurt, and it seems like he treats students everyday, it not that he didn't like helping people, he just wished they should be more careful at what they were doing rather then doing things without thinking. He looked up and saw Alexander enter with a student around his shoulder who was bleeding from the head. He sighed. "What happened this time?" he said to Alexander, who brought in most of his patients. "Isn't it a bad idea to play soccer when the fields are wet from the rain? Don't you know how dangerous that is?" He said directly to Alexander, who had a different opinion on the subject of kids safety.

Alex shook his head at Sebastian's usual speech, not particularly listening. As he helped Trevor sit down, he gave the nurse a charming smile. "He only hit his head on the goal post. Really, you can't expect kids not to get hurt. Soccer's a sport--it happens." He ran a hand through his shaggy hair as he leaned against a table, still smiling slightly.

Sebastian looked at Trevor's wound. He took a clean towel and wiped the boys forehead. "This may sting a little." Sebastian said to Trevor as he took an alcohol pad and whipped it across the boys head injury. He then unwrapped a small package of gauze and put it over the boys wound sealing it with tape. "There we go. Till this heals I would advise you not to do any strenuous activity. Alright?" He said to Trevor giving him a smile and wave as he went off leaving just him and Alexander in the room. "If you weren't so hard on the boys they wouldn't get stressed and get injured more often." Sebastian said getting up from his stool and walking over to a medicine cupboard and taking out some medicine and placing it on the counter, he threw away the dirty cloth and alcohol pad in the trash next to him. He looked at the medicine bottle he took out, and muttered to himself about refilling it but it being hard since the pharmacy was kind of far from the school and he didn't have time to get it. He sighed and put the bottle back where he found it, he would worry about it later. He turned back around and sat down at his stool once more and scooted over to his small desk and wrote in his note book, he noticed that Alexander was still there, so he turned around and faced him. "Did you need something or are you going to stand there all day?" He said to Alexander.

Alex let loose his most charming smile. "I was just making sure Trevor was taken care of and gonna be okay." He had a box of bandaids now that he kept tossing back and forth between his hands. It was just something he had casually picked up off the table and started to mess with without really realizing that was what he was doing. His hand paused suddenly as he tilted his head, dramatic realization showing on his face. "Oh, could it be that you don't want me here?" he asked with mock hurt.

Sebastian didn't mind Alex being in his office its just that he had a lot of work to do. "I have a lot of work to do, and it would help if you were not hear being a distraction. I have to get a bottle of medicine filled but the pharmacy is a bit far from the school, I would take off and go get it but I have a ton of paper work to do." He said but what he really meant was 'I have nothing to do,so lets just ditch school the rest of the day and hang out.' but Sebastian wasn't the type to just skip school to hang out with the coach. He had a small crush on Alex since they met, but the only turn off was that he seemed to not care that much about a kids safety, so he had no hope for the relationship, plus he didn't even know if the coach liked guys or not. He wheeled over to the coach and took the box of bandages from him, and put them back on the counter sighing. "Look either you stay and just sit here, not touching anything, or you go back and see how your little soccer players are doing."

Alex pouted as the box of bandaids was taken from him. Not like he was hurting the things. "I see how it is," he said, standing. "I won't keep you from you work. I should get back to my class after all. It is technically shunned to leave the kiddies unsupervised." He found what he was saying amusing and chuckled a bit behind his hand. He gave a little wave and headed out the door. "I'm sure I'll see you around again, Sebastain!" And then the door closed behind him. As he headed back to his class, he couldn't hide the smile that always overcame him when he visited the school's nurse. He had to admit that he enjoyed the other man's presence even if Sebastian never seemed to enjoy it as much as he did.

Sebastian was a bit upset when Alex left. Sebastian really didn't have any work to do at all, he just wanted to hang out with Alex. He sighed and rolled his stool over to his desk and sighed a lot of papers, but before he knew he he was scribbling Alex's name and a bunch of hearts on a paper. He realized what he was doing, blushed, and stopped drawing. He crumpled up the paper and stuffed it in his pocket hesitating to throw it away. Sebastian's tummy grumbled as he realized he hadn't eaten anything all day. He was hungry but had to wait to go home because he had forgotten his lunch. He sighed and hit his head on his desk with a moan. "Why did I pick today to forget my lunch?" He asked himself. His pay check wasn't going to arrive till Friday, and it was only Monday, he was low on food at home, he didn't really go shopping that much plus his friend would always come to his house and raid the fridge. Sebastian was fed up and left his office went down the hall and put money in a vending machine, pressed the keypad and a box of cookies fell down. He grabbed the cookies and started to walk back to his office not watching where he was going. The last bell had rung, so everyone would be going home very soon.

Alex made his way back to class and spent the rest of it being more or less responsible. He watched over the class and ended up blowing his whistle a lot. His mood was still exceptionally good and he let the class out early so they'd have time to shower before the end of the day. Though, they never complained about having to go home and mud in their hair. Boys will be boys after all. Alex looked up from packing up his stuff as the last bell rang. Good, now he was free from the confines of the school and could do as he pleased. Bag slung over one shoulder, he walked down the halls, bouncing a soccer ball as he went. Suddenly, he lost control of the ball and it went careening down the hallway heading right for someone. Alex realized who that person walking so spacey was and called out.

"Watch out Sebastian!"

Sebastian hadn't noticed anyone walking down the hall till he heard someone call his name. He looked up from his box of cookies and saw that it was Alex, but he was chasing after a soccer ball that was headed towards Sebastian. Sebastian gasped and froze, he couldn't move. The soccer ball hit him right in the face causing him to fall backwards and his box of cookies to spill everywhere and his glasses fell to the floor.

Alex cringed as the ball hit Sebastian and sent the man falling to the ground. He rushed over, apologies rushing from his mouth. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for that happen. Let me help you." He knelt down next to the nurse and quickly handed him the fallen glasses before standing and offering his hand to Sebastian.

Sebastian grabbed his glasses from Alex and stood up. "Ah its alright, but my food has spilled all over the floor." Sebastian said with a sigh as he rubbed his face and started to gather all the cookies making sure not to step on any. "Thanks for helping me up, but what are you going here when school is over?" He asked curiously.

"I was just going to my car," Alex said. "The parking lot is that way after all." A look of curiosity passed over his face as he watched Sebastian pick up the cookies from the floor with much care. "Wait, don't tell me you're going to eat those off the floor?" he asked, beffudled the nurse of all people would do such a thing.

"Oh I see." Sebastian said as he was done picking up all the cookies. "Ah no, I wouldn't do such a thing, its unsanitary, I'm just picking up my mess and throwing them away, that is all. I don't like messes, but you probably knew that already since my office is so neat." Sebastian then realize he had not put his glasses on yet. He got them out of his pocket and put them back on brushing a few strands of his hair away from his eyes. He smiled at Alex. "Hey, so I hear a big soccer game is coming up. I wish you and your team luck. I hope none of them get hurt badly, then I would have to tend to them, but I don't really mind, I just wish they would be more careful sometimes, but boys will be boys am I right?" Sebastian said with a little laugh.

Alex scratched his head, a sheepish smile on his face. "Oh, I just assumed since you were picking them up so carefully. Sorry to make you drop the cookies," he said. He perked up immediately when Sebastian mentioned he soccer game. "Yes, its the game against our rival school. It's always a big match and brings in a crowd almost as big as the football games." He paused, frowning for a second. He disliked how football was always more popular in high school than any other sport. He shook his head and the smile came back quickly. "There's no way to know how things will turn out, but I also hope my team doesn't get injured. Its better for everyone that way."

Sebastian smiled back at Alex. "Nah, it's alright, I can just get some food at home later." He lied to Alex, he didn't have anything besides bread and milk at home, he was having trouble with money lately, but he didn't want any help, he was stubborn like that, but if his money problem continued like this he would be forced out of his house. Sebastian's stomach growled but he ignored it and rubbed the back of his head like he was guilty of something. "Yeah, the future is unpredictable, you can't predict what is going to happen, even when we wish we did sometimes. I hope you guys win, I will cheer for you guys." Sebastian said hoping to get Alex to not notice that he was lying about being hungry and his money problems.

Alex looked at Sebastian curiously. Maybe this could be his chance to get closer to the other man. "Thanks. I have high hopes that we will win as well. By the way, would you perhaps like to come eat lunch with me? I'm just going to the little diner across the street, but I'd like it if I had some company."

Sebastian tried to hold back a blush when Alex offer for him to go to lunch. "Ah sure. I would love too. I'm starving." Sebastian said with a smile and small laugh. He really liked Alex and hoped this would be a time to get closer to him. He had liked Alex ever since he met him.

A huge smile slipped onto Alex's face at the acceptance. "Alright. Are you ready to go now or do you still have things to do?" he asked. For once Sebastian wasn't criticizing him. He was so happy to have this chance.

"No, Im done will all my work today, so we can leave now." Sebastian said smiling at Alex. He wanted to spend time with him but was always afraid to ask, and when he did spend time with him he was always being mean to him, but that's because he was nervous and didn't want to show his true feelings.

Alex smiled. "Well then why don't you follow me. I'll drive us over there. Even if its across the street, its still best to drive," he said with a matter of fact nod of his head.

"Alright, lead the way." Sebastian said following Alex to the parking lot. He wanted this 'date' to last awhile, he liked spending time with Alex, even when it seemed like he ignored him when Alex visited him in the office, he truly liked spending time with this man, no matter if they had different views on kids safety.

Alex had soon led them to his car. it was a simple thing and bit old, but it did the job. He didn't care for flashy cars and didn't have enough money for one anyway. He got in and waited for Sebastian to also get in the car to they could get on their way. He heard his stomach rumble. "Man, I'm so hungry I could eat my car!" he exclaimed with a laugh. "Isn't that a great idea? Edible cars!"
