The evacuation notices had been flashing on all channels for 12 hours now. The roads had been completely blocked by unmoving traffic for 5 hours, most vehicles had been abandoned in fact.
Little was known to the civilians about why they were being removed from the cities and suburbs in the area. A pity, the city had been a melting pot of all the races of the new world. A few rumors were scattered around , spread by those panicked desperates as they tried to get out of the city. Disease, a new strand of rabies, walking undead, demons, aliens. Who really knew what to believe, if any of it.
Some said the city was in chaos, fires breaking loose everywhere, looters killing indiscriminately as they looked for their next easy score.
Some said their was a small resistance in the heart of the city ready to fight against... whatever it was they were all being evacuated from.



A scrawny Mix-breed anthro, an anthromorph Jerboa, and an anthromorph hedgehog were fighting a hodge podge battle along the line of petrified traffic against a corpse like foe.

"You won't touch them!" The Black Hedgehog growled. He was very serious, he shot a bunch of zombies with his shotgun. The barrel of his gun was smoking. You could say it was a smoking barrel. He ran after a few of the zombies. He used his shotgun like a sword and took off a few of there heads. He was feeling confident about himself. He than noticed that he had been surrounded by a bunch of zombies. He jumped as high as he could. He watched the zombies run into one another. They were stupid. A small grin formed on the black hedgehogs face. He grabbed what looked like a hood. He was going to use it like a shield. He held it up in front of himself. As the zombies attacked. There was the sound of zombie flesh against metal. He was sweating furiously.

Navidian skittered to a stop atop the roof of a non descript SUV. She took aim with her shotgun and then shook her head. She slung it back on her shoulder and reached behind her, a small revolver was attached to the back of her belt. She unbuttoned it and swung it around, taking aim just over Akito's shoulder.

"Hurry!" she urged, pulling the trigger and sending a bullet whizzing closely by the hedgehog's head. A zombie, in the form of a lumbering human, toppled to the ground where he stood. She offered a smile, whether it was due to the fact that she had killed a zombie or that she had saved the closest things to friends she had had in a long while. The smile was gone as she turned back around and kept leaping from car to car, "That's the last time I'm turning around!"

Akito watched the bullet skim over his shoulder. A small smirk on was on his face. That girl really knew how to make an entrance. He was going to call this cover. He than jumped up onto the top of the SUV Navidian was on. They had to get to higher ground. If they wanted to be safe and not get there asses kicked. There had to be a way out of this pathetic excuse for a town. He's fought many battles in his times. None of them would be compared to the battles that he was fighting now. Zombies, it just seemed like something out of a science fiction movie or video game.

It was an interesting situation though. He looked down towards the streets. They were littered with bodies. Dead bodies, they were zombies. He wished the infestation would just stop. All the senseless violence. He hated to see everyone get so hurt. He had a few things on his mind. He wouldn't say what they were. That's how he was. He was a very closed-off hedgehog. He just stared down at the streets below.

As the other two lept into action, Wolf pulled herself up onto the hood of a car, sitting their complacently, even swinging her feet a little, she watched the action unfurl.
It wasn't long before a half torn up corpse of a centaur came lumbering to her position, dragging one front hoof as it stumbled stiffly to her.
With eyes wild, pupils turned to cat-like slits, the scrawny girl scampered up the car, leaping clumsily to the next car top as she tried to chase after the much more agile, Navidian.
Wolf took another leap, misjudging the distance, and skidding past the roof of the car onto the hood.

Akito looked down towards Wolf. He than jumped down onto the hood of the car that she was on. He smirked slightly at Wolf. "Need a lift?" Akito asked with a slight smirk on his face.

Navidian's smile turned quickly to a frustrated snarl. "You two better keep up!" she called, not turning back and continuing to jump from car to car. She turned the volume up on her headphones, blasting some random music to drown out the ever growing moans of the ghouls. She had to get to the center of town to find her package, the small elf child of her client.

The city had been in evacuation for 12 hours, and she had gotten her assignment 11 hours ago. Things were moving too slow, Navidian wasn't sure what the resistance situation was like now. From what she knew, the elf child's mother and a handful of other survivors were refusing to leave the city, their home, and decided to fight off the invasion instead. Her client didn't like that idea and wanted his child out - brought to him - to safety. Navidian didn't care one way or another, as long as a paycheck was attached to the end of the deal. Hell, she would probably rather stay there and fight along side the survivors, killing off every last one of these godforsaken monsters.

The scrawny half-breed chuckled nervously as she let Akito help her back onto the car hood.
"thanks" she mutters in a panting breath as she scrambles up and leaps to the next car, trying to keep up with Navidian's expertise movements. What the Jerboa did as an effortless and precise projection from point to point on the car hoods and debris, Wolf did more like an awkward flinging of her own body in the general direction. In fact, she almost looked slightly feral in the odd way she lept.

"AH!ouchouchouch!"

She asked between her awkward stumbled landings and pants of breath.

"Okay, Wolf." Akito said, he leapt behind of Wolf on top of the car hoods. It wasn't as easy as it looked. He wasn't doing any better. He jumped and nearly fell to the ground. He hung onto a car hood for dear life. He got his bearings again and he than started jumping from car hood-to-hood. It was like jumping from branch to branch. There was a sly smirk on his face as he watched Wolf's back-side. "Now just don't fall down Wolfy." Akito added and he slightly chuckled as he watched he rather nice backside.

Navidian slows her pace slightly, and calls back to Wolf, "To the center of the city, there is a resistance group set up there." The jerboa makes a deft turn down a side street, continuing to jump on top of the cars. The estranged moans of the zombies echo on the sidewalks beside her, but she pays no attention to them. She is quicker and more agile than them, and she thanked evolution for her oversized, powerful feet which allowed her to jump great distances.

Those kids that picked on her in school would be eating their words now. A small smile crossed her face as she thought of this.

"I'm-UH!"

She responds to Akito as she leaps again, she clamps her jaw downs and concentrates on her movement . To anyone looking close enough, they might notice that her fur seemed a little longer then before, a little more worn. Her tail, as well, seemed to consist of a spikier fur. She grunted with a leap as Navidian spoke.
"All the way to the center. Oh man, that's gonna take forever!"
She seemed to be getting good at leaping at this point, not missing a beat, and barely scrambling at all.
"I don't know about you. " she spoke a little quieter so that Akito might hear him behind her "but i'm not sure i can make it that far."

"Hm that won't do." Akito said as he looked at Wolfy's behind. He wondered if she was tired or worn. He could carry her or she could ride on his back. He didn't want to see her left behind. She probably wouldn't make it in the city, the way it is today. They just had to make it to the center of the city. How hard would that be? It'd be pretty hard if you were all worn out. He didn't really know what to think. He wiped the sweat off of his brow.

Navidian had stopped when she went around the corner. She was staring at something directly in front of her - lights from a fire reflected off of her goggles, creating a sickly glow. She waited for Wolf to come around the corner and she reached out and grabbed her around the waist and pulled her aside. Next came Akito, who she also grabbed - to stop momentum.

It was apparent, suddenly, why she was doing this. In front of them was a pile of corpses - but like every other corpse in this city, they were all writing about and reaching for living flesh.

"Looks like we can't go this way, folks," she said. "Do you need a minute to rest?"

"Just not our day, eh, Navi?" Akito asked, he felt him being pulled aside. He looked right infront of them. There were corpses. Yeah, this was a fine mess that they were in. He had an idea. They could start jumping roofs. They should be rather safe up there, right? "Hey, Navi. What about the roofs. Would we be safe up there? I mean if so. We could rest." Akito added.

"what the-Oh EEW! GROSS!" Wolf shivers violently at the grotesque sight. "Oh god, i think i'm gonna be sick."
She turns away from the pile, face buried in her hands, one eye peaks through her fingers.
"Can we get in this building? i need to get away from th... here. "
her tail is between her legs and the roughness and length of her fur seemed to have reduced.
"i can't believe we didn't find anyone else in this city yet.. i mean.. other then that dog person.. tcht. We shouldn't have left him like that. Do you think he's ok?" She says as she moves towards the large glass door of the business office.

OOC : I Leave today.. Sorry Navi and Lizspit, hope you have fun without me. I'll be back sometime in december for a day or two!

"Let's save our own asses first." Akito said as he looked at Wolf. He could tell that Wolf might be worried about the mutt that was with them earlier. The mutt probably went off on his own. That wasn't a smart thing to do in a situation like this. Oh well, some people were just stupid. He just crossed his arms and stood there for a moment. He looked at Wolfy. He saw she was inching towards a large glass door.
