Demeter looks around at all the people arriving at school and smiles to herself. She truly felt at home here and was very thankful for her place in the natural setting of the school. She sits down under a tree and puts her hand onto the ground, making a blood red rose bloom out of the ground by using her affinity for earth.

gemini sat in a tree overlooking thr coutyard.as usual,she was alone."why is it always me?" she sighed,hanging upside down from her branch.her cat,frisco,a gray cat with dark gray spots,meowed at her."oh,i know.people are scared of mee.but its not like im evil.im just different..." frisco purred,as if laughing.she glared at him."why do i talk to you again?" "mrow." "oh,right.you're the only one who will talk to me." she sat up and took frisco in her arms,sighing.she started to sing-she always did when she was alone.her mother had said she had the voice of an angel,but she wasnt sure.-she sand imaginary,by evanescence.when she finished,she was crying."i can hear animals,i nderstand them and they understand me.but still i have no friends..."

Alexia heard someone singing her favorite song and she went out to it. She saw a girl in a tree and smiled. "Hey you in the tree with the cat!!!!" She called up getting ready to climb up herself.

Celina blinked as she noticed a girl in the tree outside. Hanging upside down like a bat, oh the irony. She even noticed the cat at her knees.
"That's it!" She had her painting! As soon as the teacher opened the door, she rushed in, grabbed a canvas and some watercolor pencils and immediately got to work. She was smiling the whole time. She had heard the girl start to sing a song she knew quite well so she put on her headphones and put it on repeat for that song.

gemini heard the call,and looked down to see another girl about to climb her tree."oi,what are you doing?" she called."and i have a name you know! im gemini starr,and that is my given name,well,gemini is,anyway.i made up a last name cause i didnt have one.anyway,why are you climbing my tree?" gemii never talked this much.she was babbling,she knew,because of her nerves.*mabey* she thought *mabey shell be a friend?* she made sure to turn away,so the new girl didnt see the cross-shaped scar on her left cheek.*no sense making a bad first impression*

Alexia smiled as she got to the branche beside the Gemini. "Well Gemini it's nice to meet you." She turned slightly hiding the butterfly shaped mark that was place on her cheek instead of her forehead. She had many more marks of butterflies but they were a little less noticable and she kept them under her clothes.

i forgot to mentoin,gemini has alot of markings.a cross scar on her left cheek,a green crescent moon with a star inside on her forehead(quite different from the regular house of night marking),a blue leopard-print butterfly tatoo on her left upper arm,and a glittering black rose-complete with stem and thorns-on her right upper arm.theyll be explained later.(and yes,i got the idea for the cross scar from rurouni kenshin)

i forgot to say,and this is the last thing i think-gemini has alot of markings.a cross-shaped scar on her left cheek(yes i got that from rurouni kenshin) a blue leopard-print butterfly tatoo on her left upper arm,a black glittering rose tatoo-with stem and thhorns-on her upper right arm,and her fledgling mark,the crescent moon on her forehead,was green and had a green star inside it.(quite different from the usual house of night mark.)

Alexia laughed turning her head and showing her mark. "It's just my mark it's not on my forehead but my cheek I'm not very comfortable with it." The mark seemed to flutter it's wings while she laughed but it wasn't very certain.

gemini smiled."thats ok,i have plenty of little things like that myself.compared to the stories behind mine,its really normal.hehe ^,..,^ i think its pretty,actually.at least its not a scar." she truned,showing her cross scar."its really ironic,a vampire scarred with a cross...it was my fathers idea of a joke."

Alexia just laughed a little more at this. "I feel your pain." She said knowing it was unrealized truth.

gemini sat quiet for a moment,looking at the sky.it was almost dawn,and despite being a vampire,she still loved the sunrise.she stayed up to watch it every day.she sensed the girl inside watching,and drawing her,but she didnt mind.just another person who saw her as a spectacle."you never told me your name." she stated quietly.

"Me? I'm Alexia sorry that I forgot my manners." She said almost rambling but catching herself.

(lol,definitely!) gemini caught the half-ramble,but decided to let it go."well,its very nice to meet you,alexia.now,please pardon me if i sound rude,but,why are you here? most people only talk to me on dares.were you dared to talk to the freak girl,or mabey trying to make me look dumb? or are you genuinely interested?"she really didnt want to ask this question,but she had been dissilusioned so many times before.people pretending to be her friend just to betray her,or get something out of her.she couldnt stand to have her heart shattered again.but she liked this girl.*mabey* she thought,*mabey this one is real.ive got a good feeling about her.* gemini really wanted to believe that she had finally made a friend.shee sighed."well? whats your reason?" she asked dryly,while thinking*wow,next i suppose a BOY will come along and try to be friendly.* the thought made her smile.she hadnt smiled in a very long time.

Alexia smiled and shook her head. "Not at all. I understand where you're coming fun. I bet you get it as much as me being a marked and whatnot."

"yes" gemini replied."i was born a vampire,thats why my mark is different.most people around here just call me freak.they dont even know my real name.the worst part is,they do it behind my back,but i still hear it.they are too scared of me to confront me,so they say things behind my back.i believe that only cowards do that."she stopped for a second."um,ive never done this before,but...do you want to........be my friend?" for the first time in her life,gemini felt-and to her embarassment,sounded-unsure.she secretly crossed her fingers,hoping,praying even.all the while frisco watched from his perch one branch higher.he seemed almost amused.at least,as far as cats go.

Alexia smiled and nodded. "Totally why not and I agree with you on that. I was born with birthmarks in the shapes of butterflies all over my arms and back and when I was marked it was a celtic weavery of a butterfly on my cheek. I knew people talked behind my back whenever I wore short sleeves and it's so annoying." She said putting her hand out to shake with her new friend.

for the first time since she was five,gemini smiled,showing her long pointed fangs.she reached out and shook hands with her new friend."well" she said"dawn is here at last.i suppose we should get to the girls dorm before the teachers catch us."she turned and jumped down from her branch,landing sounlessy on her feet,followed closely by the ever-loyal frisco.she smiled up at alexia."by the way,this is my cat,frisco.dont worry if you ever hear him talk,thats normal,especially since hes more that a millenium old."she laughr=ed,wondering how her new friend would take this news.
