what the...hell???

"Yo... Your seriously doing it!?!?!?!!?" I exclaimed. Just then i sensed that Ember was running. she made it about a half mile (give or take) and then i sensed her being stopped by a werewolf... I was P.O.'d again...

"She's... That ways.... Lets get her." i said pointing over there. i brought along my zombies and summoned four more. it was much easier this second time. I commanded them only to kill lycans/werewolf. and not to injure ember. also I assigned three to protect her.

"Let's go."

I giggle when Felix freaks out.
"I told you it was possible." I tell him as I get up.

I glance in the direction the lycans had run off with Ember. She had tried to get away, I could feel it. I sigh with relief.
"Let's get her back."
Felix and I start running towards where she was being kept.
"We won't give up this time, even if they run off with her again. I'll follow them." I hiss and run faster.

I was still in Roberts arms sobbing. Had they really stopped looking for me? Robert sighed and wiped the tears from my eyes. We were laying in his room. which was really just a huge hole he had dug out of the new cave we were in, it was about 20' by 30' maybe bigger, there was a small palet of blankets big enough just for us two. I looked up at him tears running down my face. His warm breath blowing on my face. He smiled then kissed me. I was lost in his warmth.

Felix and I reached the lycan and werewolf camp in a matter of hours. Soon zombies followed. I coveren my nose and mouth.
"Those things reek! It makes me want to gag." I complain to Felix. "They would make perfect stinkbombs."
I get a sudden idea. It was perfect!
"Felix! We could use the zombies as a cover. They smell so bad that it would cover our scents. That's how the lycans know when we get close! Our smell!"

wow... that was a smart idea...

"Fine. attack them..."

((whaa? running out of things to say pesca? lazy. lol i seem to be in a teasing mood today))

I nod. "Should we follow and stay low? We might be able to get in and find Ember."

(Lolz! THings are changing sooo much lol.. i am running out... *to myself* Think Pez think...)

She was insisting on us 'staying low', but i dont give a damn about staying low.... "You can if you want, but I want to rescue Ember... NOW!"

I layed on Roberts chest, one thing had led to another and well....I felt wrong, but it had felt sooo right. Suddenly I sat up, Felix! He was here, and a whole lot of stink. I looked at Robert, he was asleep. He looked so hansom, sweaty and sleeping. I kissed his forehead then stood and got dressed. I ran outside and right into a Zombie. "Gah!"

((Heh heh heh... people are getting ripped apart by vampires, lycans, and zombies. I never knew G-rated could be so grotesque. GAH! Intercourse!))
"Leon!" cried a voice from outside the room. Grasping onto the foot board of the bed, I carefully raised myself from the floor onto the edge of the mattress. Elsa came into the room after a few discreet knocks. I could tell that at first she was going to leap at me, but remembered that I was injured. So she just approached me and sat next to me. "Leon, are you alright?"
"I'll be okay," I replied wryly, rubbing the puncture wounds, and looked down to see a few bandages covering them. The light from the hallway illuminated the room's features. At the head of the bed was a nightstand and a dresser drawer at the foot of it. There were various framed pictures along all sides of the walls. Most were images of people, including pictures of a men in Military dress blues. Others were of artillery tanks and M-tracks. My eyes returned to Elsa and I asked, "Where are we?"
"It was amazing," she drawled, putting both her fists up to her chest. "I tried to kill the deer, but I couldn't and I ran really, really fast. I found I tree and then I climbed and the deer was banging on it with its horns and everything. I was so scared and then the deer's whole head blew up! It was so icky, but I was happy that I didn't die. Anyway, I saw a man come and he saved me. I told him that you were hurt, and then he took both you and I to this cabin. He fixed you up with bandages and stuff! I heard you yell 'I'm alive', what was that about?"
"Er..." I murmured, "a bad dream. That's all... but who-"
"And he has food too," interrupted Elsa, widening her green eyes to their fullest extent. "He has meat and bread and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! Are you hungry? We should go get a pb & j sandwich... The bread is stale and the pb & j tastes funny, but it's better than nothing!" I sighed and nodded my head. She took my hand and I stood up from the bed and exited the room.
As Elsa lead me out of the bedroom, I saw more military photos hanging from the walls. When we entered the kitchen, I saw a man sitting on a lounging chair in the living room, reading an old issue of a newspaper.
"Kenneth," said Elsa, running over to him. "Leon's awake. Could he have something to eat." Kenneth folded up his newspaper and rose up from the chair. He looked at me with dark, beady eyes under thick, black eyebrows crinkled in a smile. His coarse black hair was thinning over his head and thick facial hair covering the bottom half of his face. Kenneth walked over to me and reached out for my hand, saying, "Nice to see that you're standing, Leon." His grip was warm and firm, and I returned it with equal firmness.
"It's a miracle to me, sir," I replied, with a discreet smile. "I thank you very much for bandaging my wounds." Kenneth shook his head and said, "Nah. It's no problem. An infected animal is ten times worse than an infected human, that's for sure. Would you like some soup?" He walked over to a big, tin pot on the stove and stirred it with a ladle.
"Yes, please," I said peering over at the broth filled with meat and vegetables.

I heard Ember scream and run to cover her mouth.
"Don't worry. They aren't here to hurt you. Felix summoned them. Now let's get you out of here and back to our temporary base." I whisper to her.
"Felix, I have ember. Leave the zombies to wreak some havoc and let's go." I think to Felix.

"Wait what about Robert?" Ember asked turning to run back inside. She didn't want to leave him....But she had Felix to return to...Would he know how she had been unfathful? Would he hate her for what she knew she now carried inside her?

((i think everyone's orientation of time is different... ember, that was just a second ago that you "did the dirty deed", how can you know you are preggers that fast? o.O?))

"We don't have time. and he's a Lycan" I hiss to her. "We have to get back before they find us here. You don't know how hard it was to actually get you. We searched forever!" I hiss to her again as I pull her away. "Don't make me carry you out of here."

i waited in bed like a good little girl.i was very impatient,and there were too many blankets and pillows.i felt suffocated.i was used to sleeping on the ground,or in a tree,or sometimes not at all.i soghed for what seemed like the hundredth time.sky was there with me,and she seemed a bit uncomfortable."its ok,you know.you dont have to stay here if you dont want to.im used to being alone.and ill be alone again,when all the humans get old or sick and die.its bound to happent.everyone dies.i wonder what happens when all the humans are gone? is that the end,or will the infected inhabit the nation?and what about the rest of the world,i wonder? im sorry,i dont mean to put these morbid thoughts with you.i just get lonely sometimes.haha,mabey i should get a boyfriend." yeah,but how and where could i get one? surely it wouldnt be anyone here.i sighed again,depression falling over me like yet another suffocating blanket.

I heard the squad leader that I had sent into the forest come into the office.
"Sergeant, we did not find anybody in the forest. We did however find signs that people had been living out there."
"Ok, good. Thank you Sergeant. Return to your post." The Sergeant nodded, and walked out. As soon as I turned around Captain White walked in.
"Sergeant, I have some grim news." I had a feeling that I knew what this was about. I nodded to him and he sighed, "The Major is in stable condition now, we were finally able to stop the bleeding. He probably won't last all that long though. Maybe two or three hours." I knew that I had to do something.
"Can he be moved?" A plan started to form in my head.
"Yes he can, but we have to be very gentle with him." That was it then, I knew what we could do.
"Ok, I want him on a stretcher with an IV in ASAP. Then bring him into the medical tent. We have a convoy coming back from another unit that's been hiding out not too far from here. When they come back we can load him up on a truck and have them take him back up there. They have a good medical team up there and they will be able to help him out. Move out now Sir, that convoy could be here any minute now. It's getting dark again. keep an eye out. We should be good, but just in case." He nodded and left. I watch out the window and I could see him taking a strechter out to the trailer cell that was still upright with a few nurses behind him. They all went into the trailer and after a few minutes I could see them bringing the Major out onto the strechter. They initiated an IV and rolled him back into the Medical tent. I walked out to where they left him. He was not too far from Gemini and Sky. I nodded to them both as I passes and went to His side.
"Sir, I am running everything as good as I can. I don't know if you can actually hear me, but I want you to know that I am carrying out your plan on connecting with the other unit in that warehouse. We're gonna take care of you Sir. I promise." I walk back to my office. I coulld feel Sky's eyes watching me, and for some reason, it felt like Eli was watching me somehow too. It was really weird. But i turned back to the office, and I went and layed down again. Thinking about how much I wanted to see her again.

i looked over at the man they had brought in.he was going to die,i could tell.he seemed important."i could help him.but,it would come at a price.i wonder...but,they probably wouldnt let me..." i turned to sky."may i speak with mr.hemora? i have a thought,but i would consult with him before even speakng it."

Sky came to me after I had laid down.
"Sergeant, Gemini would really like a word with you. She didn't tell me what it was about tho." I sigh, still laying on the cot.
" Ok, just ask her to wait for about 30 minutes. I really don't feel good and I'm hoping a little nap will be good for me. Take her out walking around if she would like to. And by the way, I could tell that you are uneasy about her, but she's different. And besides, if she wanted to do something to u she'd have already done it. So ask her if she wants to walk around. If she, let her set the pace. Take a rest every time she gets winded." And with that she turned and left, I slipped back into thinking about Eli.

sky came in and told me i had to wait.then she asked if i wanted to walk around.i could do that? "alright.i much prefer fresh air to these obnoxious blankets." so we went walking.it seemed like she was trying to keep pace with me.i got annoyed.i wasnt that sick! "you were told to let me set the pace,werent you? i dont need to be coddled! im fine! dont go thinking im as weak as you people!" to prove my point,i ran ahead of her,using speed only a vampire could attain.i wasnt used to anyone taking care of me.it was always just me,no one else,i could take care of myself.how annoying,for them to think i needed to be cared for! soon,i was so far away that she would have to run to catch up within the hour.i stopped,and started coughing again.i noticed i was bleeding.the wound had re-opened.i put my hand to it,and looked.it was covered in blood.i brought my hand to my face and idlt licked the blood off.sky arrived just in time to see this."this amount of blood loss could kill me.i wonder when this pesky little wound will close?" i said in a detatched,offhand sort of way."looks like rain.shall we go back? im getting hungry.oh,and dont worry,ill take breaks if you get tired." i knew i was being a smartass,but i couldnt help it.i was annoyed,and hungry.i always got this way when i was hungry.

"I...Okay lets go." Ember sighed tears falling from my face. She watched as the army of Zombies moved in on the lycans. They never even knew, they had no chance to prepare themselves for this onslaught of chaos.

I woke up from my nap feeling better than I had. I walked around the office some before Sky once again came him.
"Sergeant, her wound has opened up once again. She tried running away from me. I finally caught up with her and then we came back here. She wan't big on the idea of being babied Sergeant." I didn't think that she would. But if she had listened she wouldn't have opened her wound back up.
"Have her come in here and talk to me once she gets patched back up."
"Yes Sergeant. Will do." She turned and left. I knew it wouldn't be long before Gemini came back in.

I take Ember back to the little base in the clearing I had made earlier where we met back up with Felix.

"Ember, what were you thinking! How could you just disappear like that on us! Do you know how worried we were?!" I managed to choke out before I started crying.
"We followed your scent but every time we got close, those lycans took you away again. Didn't you try to fight them? Didn't you at least try to get away?" I whimper throuh my tears.

I was hurt. Did she not care about us, her own kind? We had searched for her day after day. When Felix realized that she had gone missing right after the battle, he was mad enough to kill. We had never given up looking and yet it seemed that she prefered to have stayed with those dogs than with us.

((Agh! They didn't use protection! This is madness! THIS IS BLASPHEMY! *grabs Ember and begins slapping her* BAD! BAD! BAD! SINNER! XP))
"How did you obtain these supplies?" I asked Kenneth, seating myself at the dining table with a large bowl of hot soup. As I began to scarf the scalding hot broth, he answered, "A few miles south of here is an abandoned city. Ever since the outbreak of the viruses, I've been getting my supplies from there. But the supermarket's food is scarce from being ransacked and expired... Slow down, son, the soup isn't going anywhere." I sheepishly slowed down my eating as he continued, "I haven't been able to get there in months now. It had been invaded with the infection. Last time I went... I almost didn't make it out alive." Kenneth shook his head and sighed. "When I realized that I was going to be trapped in here for a very long time, I dedicated my life to finding a antiviral." I looked up from my bowl and stared at Kenneth as he stared back with serious, dark eyes.
"Have you any progress?" I asked. Kenneth sighed and rubbed his eyes with his hands.
"Not much," he murmured. "I used to be a part-time microbiologist and virologist before the pandemic. I actually took samples of the virus from deceased animals and people. I managed to obtain specimens of the 'zombie' and 'werewolf' DNA. I've used the DNA on a wide variety of animals, like rabbits, mice, raccoons, and birds. For the 'zombie' DNA, all subjects have exhibited higher metabolism, aggression, and eating habits. The 'werewolf' gene's subjects have had increased strength, speed, and agility. Not to mention size.
"I've been studying this for almost a year," continued Kenneth, "with no success yet... I've tried using any forms of remedies, like vaccines for smallpox, measles, hepatitis, polio, everything that I've had in stock. I'm trying to create microorganisms that can eliminate pathogens to its host, for both infections. I used the hepatitis antibodies against a zombie rat, and it ended up dying a few days later. I have to find a way that the bacteria can eliminate the virus only, and not the subject itself." I lowered my eyes, but then looked back into Kenneth's and said, "Well, even if you've had no real success yet, I really appreciate that you've put all this time and effort into finding a cure. Hell, you've just as much chance as anyone for finding it." Kenneth gave me a smile and nodded.
"I plan to, Leon," he said. "No matter how long it takes or how dangerous it'll be. Would you like some more soup?" I looked down at my empty bowl and nodded. He chuckled and raised himself from his chair, taking my bowl to the pot again. "So what brings you two here?"
"The Human Force Base," I replied, my eyes narrowing, "had fallen just a few days ago to the power of the infections. I was and protective officer there, and was barely able to escape with my life, along with Elsa's. When the survivors of the base and the medical unit set up a camp, it was attacked yet again by werewolves. That's when we sauntered out into the wilderness... We were out there for three days until we came upon that buck that almost killed us both. Which, I thank you very much for killing." Kenneth put down the refilled bowl with a smile and nodded. "But now we don't really have anywhere else to go..."
"Oh," said Kenneth, seating himself again, "you can lounge here for as long as you like. It gets really lonely out here in the forest. Just don't go into the basement. That is my laboratory..." I nodded and Elsa clamped onto my arm, beaming at me.

I walked up to the closest lycan. I snatched it's head off. "WHERES EMBER!" I screamed. I felt silly after this, realizing, that it could no longer talk, becuase it didnt have a head. I continuted this multiple times. I became tired. The lycans started teaming up on me. I made mistakes more often. I had multiple wounds, fighting three lycans at once. they got me. I'm through... Ember's gone. There is no where for me to go. I accepted defeat, and held up my arms, allowing them to strike me. They stiked. and striked. and Striked. I fell down seven minutes later. I was gone. I was vaporized. It was black.

i was called back in to see hemora.i sighed,still fighting off th nurse trying to bandage the wound.finally,i got annoyed and use my speed to escape.i walked in to where he was,chest still bleeding."you asked for me?" i spoke as respectfully as i could.the inescappable truth was,i was wild.being in a human encampment was enough,but to have them trying to tame me? i would not have it.i was not some kind of animal that they could train and controll at will.if they wanted me to listen,they would have to meet me half way,and do thier share of listening.starting with-"sir,i appreciate you trying to care for me,but im quit alright.your medicines will only make it worse.being a vampire,my anatomy is somewhat different from yours.i heal quickly,and on my own.any help from manmade remidies will only work in the opposite way its supposed to.i dont want,or need to be coddled." i took a step back.i felt i needet to make the point very clear,so i pulled down the collar of my shirt,showing the large gaping would that ran from shoulder to shoulder.(no,im not showing anything,just the wound,no clevage.lol) it was red around the edges."see,your medicines and wrappings did this.now watch."i waited as the wound closed,making sure he watched as the flesh knitted itself together.within ten minutes, it was no more than a very large scratch."see? and in less than an hour,it will seem no more than an old scar,though it will never heal more than that.not that it bothers me,i have many scars.if your doctors had waited ten minutes,they wouldnt have had to wound me farther with whatever they put on it,and it woundnt have to become a scar.but,no harm done,really."

'I Was attacked, they took me to save me for some reason. I did fight, but they told me you had stopped looking for me. Where is Felix?" I said looking around the small camp. I felt ashamed of show I had acted just now, She was right I would rather stay with those dogs then these vampires.

I was a little shocked, I knew that vampires healed quickly, but I had now idea that they healed that quickly.
"Ok, well I realize that Sky has been baby sitting you a little too much. I am going to allow you to wonder around at your leisure. The only rules that I have for you is that you are not to hurt any humans, but you knew that one already, and I must ask you to stay out of the way of any operations going on. That's all that I ask of you." Out of the corner of my eye I saw a small convoy of trucks pulling into the camp. I grabbed my rifle and put it on my back. "And with that I must leave you, follow the rules and there will be no problem." As I left i almost knocked off the one picture that I had. It was one of me and Eli that I that i had always kept in my rucksack. If i had broke that I would have been pretty upset. I set it back on the desk and walk out to the convoy.
