Laceion glanced up as Sasha walked into the room."Hey,love."He said his eyes cold and dead.
"Hey..."She replied not noticing his cold gaze.
"Are you ready?"Lace asked Sasha gently making his voice contradict his eyes.
Sasha shrugged slightly and sighed as she pulled him into a gentle hug."I suppose?"She said her voice trailing off into a question.
He tensed slightly as she wrapped her soft arms around him and then relaxed going along with his 'charade'.He kissed her forehead softly and grabbed his athame out of the drawer in his nightstand,sighing."I'm sorry this is so short notice..."He said his voice gentle as he let his eyes fill with misleading warmth.
Sasha smiled at him and kissed his cold lips."It's okay. I don't mind...do you have everything?"She asked her eyes glowing softly in the dim light of his home.

Jerone sighed softly as he stood.He took his empty glass to the sink and rinsed it out silently not knowing what to say...
Kristina held off her sigh and messed around with her now empty glass at a loss for words as well as she stood and joined Jerone...

Evan sighed, "Are you too alright?" he asked, "You've been all sad and mopey for awhile...I just really want to know what it's going to take to make you smile again?" he asked hopefully, hoping that whatever it was he would be able to do it. He didn't like seeing his friends sad. He'd come so far from the mad vampire that he had been. And it was due to these people, he only wanted the best for them, they'd saved him and they were his friends. The only ones he had really.

Fone sighed "Do you think we should head back to the others now?" he asked looking at the slowly rising sun.

gemini looked up,curious to see what kristina's answer might be.she was also worried for her friends,and wanted to make them happy again like they were when they had met.had it really only been a week?((i think in the story line it's actually been only a week since my character came in.wow.))

starrunner looked up at the sun and nodded.it would not be wise to stay out much longer.there is danger everywhere.

Laceion didn't tense this time as he felt her warm lips against his.He smiled against them and then pulled away slowly."Yes of course."He told her handing her the athame he had never blessed."Your going to have to bless this first..."He said with a frown.
Sasha smiled back at him and then nodded."Do you want it connected to you or me? Or both of us?"She asked him as she knit her delicate eyebrows together gently.
He considered for a second and then shrugged."It doesn't matter."He told her as he laced his fingers threw hers and picked up his bag.He led her to the only all cement,and guarded room he had in the home. Of course to a normal untrained eye the wall looked normal except for the barely visible symbol on it.He gently rested his hand over it and the door pushed open with a 'twhap'.He gestured for her to go in before him and stepped aside so she could step in.
Sasha smiled slightly at him. The smile was forced and tense as she took a step into the room.She was automatically hit with a strong smell of incense and smoke. She waved a hand in front of her face and then looked around."Wow..."She said in amazement.The carpet was a deep blood red velvet and the walls were black.The walls each had a different families symbol on it and the carpet had a huge pentagram in the middle of it.The pentagram was almost transparent made out of colored smoke. Candles lined the black walls on gold stands. In the middle sat a candle that represented spirit as well as a table. She looked back at Lace and smiled as she saw a gentle red glow wash over his skin. The color of his families symbol.

Jerone and Kristina both looked up with slightly blank expressions.
Kristina shrugged and sighed."I don't know...just a lot has happened?"She asked her voice soft and gentle as she gave them a forced smile.She knew it had to do with last night but she didn't want to admit it. She was scared for Jerone...for Gemini...for Evan...for Finx...She didn't meet their eyes though worried of what they would see.
Jerone didn't say anything but nodded.He knew exactly what was wrong. He couldn't protect his family...He thought he could...a few days ago he would of said of course but now...no.He couldn't even protect himself and Kristina little loan his now only family. He looked up willing them to understand but not saying anything about the thoughts that raced threw his mind.

Evan sighed, the look on Jerone's face clearly said what his opinion on the matter was, he walked over and laid a hand on Jerone's shoulder and looked him in the eyes "Your not a night in shining armor and we're not a bunch of Damsel's in distress, you don't have to protect all of us, we can protect ourselves too."

Fone nodded "True, so...." he said looking around "Which way do we go? I really wasn't paying attention."

gemini sighed."that's the problem? look,guys,it's great that you want to protect us,but family is a two-way street.we all have to protect eachother,and ourselves.and that's what we're doing,right? kristina,you saved me more than once.and jerone,you're protecting all of us just by letting us stay here.and we protect you.there's no need to feel bad,ok?" she said truthfully,going and hugging kristina.

Kristina hugged Gemini back but didn't say anything not trusting her voice. Tears filling her eyes she pulled back.For her that wasn't the only problem...she was just plain scared.What had happened...well it still haunted her...the pain...the fear...the blackness...She shuddered slightly and grimaced as a few tears streaked down her cheeks. She tried to give Jerone a smile but it wouldn't come to her lips as he laced his fingers threw hers.

Jerone nodded at Evan and gave him a slightly strained smile as he heard Kristina's thoughts. He softly laced his fingers threw hers as he saw and smelt the fresh tears on her cheeks."I know Gemini,Evan...It's just hard...after last night..."There are others...and there all stronger than he was...He added to himself in his head as he realized something.With Kristina's thoughts she had brought up a fear in him that he hadn't known was there.

Lace smiled back at her the old feelings he had for her stirring slightly in him and making themselves known as he saw her reaction to the room. In his mind he violently flung those feelings away and let his smile slide lifelessly off his lips."Okay let's get started..."He said his voice everything but warm and nice.
Sasha finally noticed his smile and cold eyes and was a little taken back by it...Why would he react like that to me?She thought as she gave a soft sigh and nodded.She gently took the bag from him and began setting everything up for the ritual and sacrifice.

Finx sighed loudly. "Well aren't you guys all lovey dovey." She fake gagged and went back to her tea. "And what they said is true. I may only be human but I can still kick butt so theres no need to worry."

Evan looked over at Finx cautiously "Remind me never to get on her bad side." he stage whispered to the others, hiding slightly behind Jerone. He grinned at Finx "'Cause your right, Your pretty cool. Even if you are a human, but hey somebody needs to keep us crazy vampires in line right?" he asked as he walked over and slung an arm across her shoulder good-naturedly.

Finx twiched. "Get off me before I break your arm in ten thousand places."

Evan quickly took his arm away "Okay then...Yeah not doing so well at the not getting on your bad side am I?" he asked, backing up to hide behind Jerone again.

gemini sighed."finx,stop being so crochety.you should be happy jerone's letting you stay here.and please don't harm my boyfriend." she said,then looked around."where starrunner and fone? i know they went hunting,but star is always back by now..."

Kristina's eyes flashed as she heard Finx's first comment but she didn't say anything. She held back her emotions as she pulled the tears away from her eyes as she looked directly at Jerone.She heard Gemini's words and got slightly worried but her emotion only displayed a guarded blank look.

Jerone didn't say anything either but sighed as he saw Kristina's eyes flash before going completely blank.He had to laugh at the exchange between Evan and Finx but other than that his expression matched Kristina's.He sighed and thought to himself.This expression is going to become very familiar soon.He looked up as he heard Gemini's words and shrugged."I think they'll be back soon..."He said neutrally.

Laceion watched her as she let her blood drip onto the metal table and he grimaced.He tensed as she brought the athame down to his wrist and cut it making his own blood mix with hers on the table.He whispered prayers and soft encouraging words to his goddesses and to the magic around him.
Sasha smiled in bliss as the scent of blood filled her along wit the energy from the magic.She let out a shaky breath as she looked up at Laceion.He had the same hooded expression in his eyes as hers as he felt the effects of it.She gently put the athame down onto the table and then grabbed two lighters. Handing one to Lace.

gemini shivered slightly."don't lie to me.i know when something's wrong,especially with starrunner.and i really wish you guys would stop wearing those blank expressions!"

Finx nodded. "First I agree with gemini. Second Im not saying i dont like it her im only saying I would break you boyfriends arm."

Jerone glared."I'm not lying!All I said was that I think they may be home soon...just trying to reassure you..."He said his voice trailing off.His anger had come and gone as quickly as it had appeared...For once his blank expression had been gone but now it was pulled right back onto his face..."And I'm pretty sure our expressions are gonna stay this way for awhile Gem..."He said his voice now barely above a whisper as he looked away from her and too Kristina seeing his if his words were true.

Kristina smiled sadly acknowledging his words."Ya I'm afraid so...and something feels off though..."She said directing her words to everyone now instead of just Jerone. A shiver passed threw her as it did threw Gemini as she looked over at her.She felt the energy of magic but she didn't say anything.Fone?Star?She thought her thoughts laced with worry even if her expression didn't show it.

Laceion gently took the lighter from Sasha. He pulled his hand quickly away as it made contact with hers making an electric shock run threw his body.Old feelings....just old feelings...He thought as he walked over to the first candle and evoked the first element."Earth...awaken from you mossy sleep to bring forth beauty and stability and bounty.I call earth in the name of Therea and Isis..."He whispered smiling gently as the smells of a field washed over him. He turned to the right and walked over to the blue candle, that represented water."Water...Flow swift and pure and clean in magical presence here. I call water in the name of Therea and Isis."He breathed giving another gentle smile as he felt the water brush against his skin.He turned again and walked to the red candle representing fire."Fire...with your warmth that brings forth life,and in the name of Therea and Isis,I send greetings unto thee and call you to me..."He said softly feeling that same gentle smile come back to his lips as he felt the heat rise to him.He turned right yet again and went to the candle representing air."Air...Whispering,soft winds from afar,greetings be unto thee. In the name of Therea and Isis I call you unto me.."He chanted as a caressing wind wrapped around him.He made his way back to the center of the circle where the spirit candle lay and whispered to the element before he lit the final candle."Spirit filled with night and magic,whispering soul of my goddesses,stranger and friend,knowledge and mystery,in Therea and Isis's names I call thee here to me!"He said his smile widening as he felt his soul lift and dance in joy.
Sasha lit the other candles but watched him in amazement.She had called the elements every other ritual or sacrifice but when he did it...he wasn't the same.He was the gentle Laceion she had grown to love and it brought tears to her eyes...as she felt each element being brought to the circle.She walked back up the the middle table and took his wrist gently in her hand and leaned her mouth down to it her eyes never leaving his.She gently licked up the line and watched as his eyes became hooded once again.He did the same to her in return making her shiver slightly.They both dropped each others wrists down onto the table over the net.Making their blood drop onto it.Binding the magic she had laid on it into it.

Fone growled "Starrunner?!" he called, something had jumped down from the trees and he had instinctively ran. But now he didn't know where Star was...and he was lost. He spun around as he heard a twig snap and seeing nothing turned back around to run only to see a blurry shadow before something was placed over his head and darkness claimed him.

Evan knowing someone should try to remedy the situation or make a compromise, looked over at Gemini "We could go out and look for them if you want?" he asked, not really knowing if it would help.
