((Okay sounds good, How about like See'r's Brother, Cousin, or friend who decided to stop by and sat Congrats, and he just so happens to come in through the attic Window.))
((Hehe, something like that. I'll say that Nalfien is See'r's "brother" - self proclaimed.))
http://www.menewsha.com/forum/member...cture31574.jpg "It's not your day to die." The voice seemed to cut through Ember's mist, and a strong hand wrapped about the stake. The vampire gave the wood a swift yank, narrowing his eyes as the woman took a gasping breath. "My brother would be most displeased if you died before they had their wedding." Nalfien touched a bit of the blood that crested Ember's shoulder, licking his fingers. Sinking his fangs into his own wrist, he held it before her lips. "Drink. Bring yourself back, Ember. Hear my voice, and listen." They had met before, though it had been brief. Nalfien had been visiting See'r in the clan, and happened to meet Ember then. His hair had been short then. Now it was much longer - too long, in some people's eyes. "Ember," Nalfien said quietly, pressing his bloody wrist into her mouth. "Wake." |
Blinking slightly at the angelic face, she felt blood dripping into her mouth. She lapped it up, almost dog-like and reached out for what ever was feeding her. The voice sounded familiar...almost like she had dreamed it as a voice to comfort her in her death...Only it had told her to wake. She opened her eyes wider and saw Nalfien holding his wrist to her mouth. She drank until she could handle no more...Then tired to sit up. She watched as the hole in her chest healed and then looked up at Nalfien. "Your real?" She asked almost childlike in her amazement that she was not dead. She remember this man from some where.....But where? She couldn't quite place his face.
Nalfien chuckled, wiping a bit of blood from Ember's lips. "Yes, I am real." He smiled a bit as she gazed at him in wonder. "And I am here to make sure you don't do something foolish." The vampire brought his wrist to his own mouth, licking the remaining blood away before rolling his black sleeve back down. "You are a very hungry creature." He chuckled again, pushing the bloody stake away from Ember's reach. "What were you doing, Ember?"
His eyes, instead of red, were a deep brown. Looking at Ember with compassion, he stroked a few blood-soaked hairs away from her face. |
"i feel fine my love i didn't how to tell you nala knew as well i have weak a lot and i ask kamen about it as well ember and you didn't know i didn't want to tell you about it" she hides her face from him "i am sorry i didn't tell you my love are you going to kill me now" she cries
"I was going to kill myself to end my misery." She sighed still trying to place his face, She almost had it but it was somehow blocked from her. "Where do I know you from?" She asked still a little foggy. She was suddenly excruciatingly hungry...and she felt as if she could attack him and drink his blood until there was not a drop of him left. "Do you mind taking me to eat?" She asked trying to stand but finding it damn near impossible.
"No," See'r ran his hand through Nina's hair, looking a bit startled. "I won't kill you. I'm not that cruel." The vampire picked her up then, taking her to set her back on the couch. "Do you need anything? A drink, perhaps? Anything at all?"
Nalfien's hand shot out to grasp Ember's wrist when she stumbled, and he helped her to her feet. "Still hungry?" he chuckled. "Yes, I will take you to eat." The vampire wiped the last of her bloody tears away, his fingers warm instead of cold. "What do you feel like eating tonight? I will do whatever you wish." Nalfien linked his warm fingers through hers, gently tugging her toward the door and away from the stake and other vampire killing instruments. "Anything to get you feeling normal again, Ember." |
"What ever is closer...Anything older then 18." She sighed meaning if it was human. She normally could have hunted herself but she was still too weak. She found herself wishing she had died when she staked herself at least now she wouldn't have to be asking someone to help her hunt. She felt the warmth of his hand and was somewhat shocked...It was odd to feel a vampire with warm hands.....she'd only met one but they hadn't held hands, they shook hands, though Ember had wished for more...She looked up at his face and felt her stomach flip as she realized that this was him.
Glancing to Ember's face, Nalfien smiled. "Recognized me yet?" He blinked his brown eyes slowly, and led her to the front door. "I know we met a while ago, but I'm not that forgetable, am I?" The warm vampire brought Ember along with him as he stepped away from the castle's grounds, knowing that there were no humans within a few miles. Bringing the woman with him, Nalfien headed for the closest human encampment - a farm not too far off.
With the gentle wind flipping his long brown hair about his tall form, the vampire sniffed the air. "I don't usually hunt humans," he admitted, looking back to Ember with an apologetic smile. "So it's been a while for me." The farm was in sight now, and the night was nearly halfway through. They would need to be back in the castle within five hours' time. |
The smell of human blood was thick in the air as they came closer to the farm. "Sorry, It's been a hard time lately. What do you usually eat?" She asked sniffing the air and smiling as her instincts took over. She pushed open a window and climbed in, then found a man about the size of a bear, asleep on the couch. She walked over and looked down at him then her fangs grew and she sunk them into his neck. He moaned at first then fell back asleep and the only sound was the slurping sound Ember made as she drained him.
"I choose the sick and dying," Nalfien commented as Ember moved to eat. "Or animals." He grimaced as she began to feed, and watched for a few minutes before stepping forward and placing a hand on her shoulder. "Don't kill him," he said, pulling her back. "He has a family to support." The vampire shook his head. "If you are still hungry, feed with me instead of him." Nalfien glanced toward the door. "I am only a half breed - my blood is edible to you. But leave him be. Let him live."
Pulling away Ember sighed sadly. "I had forgotten that men still supported family...I've been away from family for so long...." She said standing up after licked the wound so it would close with out any marks left. She stood and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand then turned to Nalfien. "Half-breed? But you are See'r's brother?" She asked as they slipped out of the house and headed back to the castle.
Nalfien stiffened. "Not truly," he said. "Only created by the same master." With a forced chuckle, the vampire shook his head. "I'm fighting to keep my human side, where See'r lost it long ago."
Looking ahead of them to the castle, he smiled weakly. "He usually isn't very happy to see me," he said, "but that's only because he notices that I'm still more human that he can ever be again." Reaching over, he grasped Ember's hand and pulled her along as he started to run faster. With a sly smile, the vampire spun in mid-stride, pulling the woman onto his back. Grasping both of Ember's arms, he ran full speed until they reached the castle's black walls. "Do you enjoy this? Or do you miss being human?" Nalfien slipped Ember off of his back, keeping one of her cold hands within his. |
"I miss my humanity. I miss being able to feel a simple touch that would make my spine tingle and I miss being in love." She sighed looking down at their hands. As they came up to the castle she sighed again and realized she really didn't want to be there for the wedding. "Did you know Nina's pregnant with his child?" She asked stopping and looking up at the castle. She hated that she would never be able to have a child of her own, she would never hold her own child and walk them down the aisle, or go to high school graduation with...a single tear slid down her perfect face leaving a wet line down her cheek.
"Well he certainly didn't waste any time," Nalfien chuckled. When Ember started to speak about missing her human life, the vampire frowned in concern, reaching a hand up to brush away some of her tears. "There is a way back," he said quietly. "Though it is difficult, I have been fighting for it for years." Smiling slightly, the tall man kissed her forehead. "Are you willing to fight for your humanity again, Ember? To find a way to regain it?" His brown eyes met hers warmly. "Are you willing to change your ways?"
"This isn't some psycho give your soul to god crap is it?" She asked looking up at him. The moon shone off both their skins lighting up the night. She liked how bright his eyes were, and how warm his hand was in hers, she longed to feel how warm his lips would be against her ice cold ones, she had to avert her eyes or else she might act on her impulses.
"Crap?" Nalfien frowned. The way he said the word made him sound silly, like he never said it himself. "I wouldn't call it that. Not ever." The vampire slowly started walking toward the castle. "But you don't start there. Are you willing to curve your eating habits?" At the last moment, the man hesitated, moving to walk around the building instead of into it. "Can you keep yourself from eating human blood?"
Giving Ember's hand a squeeze, Nalfien slowed his pace so they could walk side-by-side. Glancing down to look into her eyes, he smiled slightly. "That is the first step toward humanity." |
"If I tried to I could. I've lived on Animals before...but it's more dangrous." She said looking back up at him with a smile. She wanted to be able to say that she had gone a long time, but truthfully she had only lasted a few weeks before she couldn't stand it anymore and went on a spree. "So, turning away from animal blood? Anything else?" She asked as they walked around the castle.
"Avoiding humans," Nalfien tilted his head slightly in thought, "doesn't mean just not eating them. It means not thinking about them. And not regretting your old life and how it ended." The half-breed looked down to Ember with a smile. "You must forgive and forget." Giving her hand a squeeze, he turned back to the dirt path they were following. "You can only start over if you accept that you must move on."
"I don't hate myself for what I've become, And I don't regret becoming a Vampire. If I hadn't then I would never have met certain people." She said squeezing his hand back, just as gentle if not more gentle. She liked just walking around holding his hand...But kamen....She pushed him out of her mind, and moved closer to Nalfien. "Where are you taking me?" She asked him with a nervous laugh.
"Taking you?" Nalfien let out a soft laugh. "Merely a walk around the grounds." Pulling her along with him, the vampire led her into one of the large gardens that was overflowing with scents and colors. Flowers and roses of every shape and size filled the area, and in the middle rested a gently flowing fountain.
Moving to sit on the stone fountain's edge, he patted a seat beside him. "I just want to get to know you." |
Ember followed him and sat besides him looking into his eyes. She trusted this man more then she ever trusted anyone before...Why had he chosen to come at such a painful time in her life? It was as if he was sent from someone who felt she still had some time left on earth....
she looks at him "i just need blood a lot of blood can you get me some i just some blood and lemons a lot of lemons"
"Do you like roses?" Nalfien calmly gazed at the blooming flowers about them, moonlight filtering about the couple. His hand still held hers, and he shifted to move closer to her, leaning over so he could better point one of the roses out. "See that one?" he smiled, "It reminds me of you." The dark crimson bud sat apart from the other roses, bobbing slowly in the light breeze. A dark violet dusted the very tips of it's soft petals, giving it a stunning appearance. "You stand apart, Ember." Looking to the woman that sat beside him, Nalfien brushed a warm finger over her cheek. "You aren't like the others." I'm drawn to you.
See'r laughed. "Lemons?" he smiled. "Alright. Lemons it is. Wait for me?" With those words, the silver-haired vampire slipped out of the room and headed for the kitchen. Using a towel, he gathered as many lemons as he could - there weren't many, but hopefully enough. Snagging a few bottles full of red liquid, the vampire headed back to Nina. "Will this do?" he asked with a quirked brow, sitting down beside her. |
she looks at him and smiles and sits up "thank you my love" she eats the lemons and drinks the blood she is done with it "that was good i hope the baby will be alright i still don't know how myself can have a child that is too weird"
