they turned a couple of corners and rima felt the akwardness beginning to kick in again. clearing her throat she stole a side-glance at zen. they passed the art room and rima stopped in her tracks. "riker? zen? hey can we take like a one minute stop?"

"Go ahead Riker is too lost on thought to care at the moment" said Zen standing at the door as Rima went in

"thanks zen." she walked in and looked around for her desk. it wasnt realy a desk so much as one huge table with cubbies beneath the surface for storing different junk in. she found hers and reached in. she pulled out her scetchbook and a few notes she wrote to her teacher that she was too scared to give to him. she held the scetchbook close to her chest and walked over to the utensils. she grabbed her number two pencil and smiled walking back to zen. "i got my scetch book. ive had it since i was nine." she smiled down flipping through the familiar pages jam packed with all her dementedness. "okay. this is all i wanted, lets go." hurrying out of the room, she felt better. if im going to die, it will be with my most prized possesions.

"Do you want me to hold that?" asked Zen following Rima down the hall Riker behind him

she shook her head, "no its fine, i can hold it." she didnt want him seeing any of her drawings anyways. they turned the final corner that led to the room they found everyone in and rima looked at the door. steadying her hands on the door knob. opening the door, she looked in. but there were no students around. every corner and crack of the room was completely empty. rima looked to zen confused.

"Um, this can not be good where the hell did they all go?" he asked looking around the room "It's like they were not here at all"

she crossed her arms. "damn it. i knew it was too quiet around here." she shook her head. "now what do we do?"

" get off teh island some how" said Zen

"i guess so." she said, still surprised by them just vanishing into thin air. "now how we do that is going to be hard. at least we only have to worry about us three now."

"I say we wait for Riker to come out of his stooper and we talk about it" said Zen sitting down

"definitly" she sighed sitting next to him. "so, what do you plan on doing if we get out of here safely?"

"Well i guess finding a place to stay and just live life and maybe find somebody but that will be so hard" Said Zen taking out a bag of chips and opening them putting them on teh floor between them so they could share "you?"

"i'll probably have to stick around until i graduate." she said grabbing a chip ignoring his 'finding sombody' comment that made her heart flutter. he doesnt mean women, which means you! she thought.

"hey you okay?" Zen asked looking at her with concern "did i say somethign wrong or someth...." he trailed off as what he said clicked

looking away she blushed. "im fine, zen." she said desperatly trying not to look at him.

"you sure you wanna step out and talk about it?" Zen asked looking at the bag of chips feeling bad

"i-im fine zen. realy." this time she looked at him, which was a mistake. damn. whys he do that to me? she thought more frustrated."on second thought a conversation sounds good about now." getting up she glanced at riker. "i dare you to listen in on us" she shot him a cold stare narrowing her eyes.

"He can't here you will go around the corner and i will stand there to keep an eye out okay?" said Zen getting up and walking out of the room with his bat and the bag of chips and to the corner in the hall "so whats up?"

she followed him out and met him at the corner. she leaned against the wall and covered her face. parting her lips for a deep sigh. "i like you, zen." she put her hands down and quickly added. "b-but i know your not into girls, so im sorry for bothering you, or making you feel bad. b-but im ok so you dont have to feel sorry for me or anything." she looked down at her combat boots "thats about it."

Zen gave her a hug "it's okay we can still be friends right and i will try to watch what i say okay"

she dropped her arms and let him hug her, but she didnt hug him. "no, its okay, you can say whatever you want, i'll deal with it somehow." she backed out of the hug and rubbed her arms. "you and riker are the closest things to friends i have, so thanks." she nodded akwardly.

"well i am glad that you consier me a sorta friend" said Zen with wierd forced smile I just want to got off this island he thought

she placed her hand on the back of her head and looked back at the door."you are my friend." she said with what resembled a smile on her face. well, i have officially started to get over him and have survived my first heartbreak...great. "we better get back to riker."

Zen sighed, "yeah i guess so" said Zen turning and walking back

rima walked in after zen sat down cross-legged on the floor in between riker and zen and retreived her scetch pad and pencil. she drew the first thing that came to her mind.
