"not one bit, and do you care now Riker?" Zen said with a grin "and i think traveling is a good idea Rima and the daycare thing is short time just to see if i like kids"

she looked back to zen and smiled. "japan. germany. and oh my god. england. it all sounds so wonderful." she looked back up at riker. "what about you, EH?" she smiled. canadian not my style, but it works.

"Meh, not likely getting outta the states. Dear old Dad wants to keep me on a pretty little leash." he frowned, "Seriously though, if you dont get some rest, you'll wind up passing out when we most need ya."

Zen stiffled a laugh as she made the Canadian joke at Riker "nay i am good for another day or so"

he sat down heavily next to them, "Right... Pass me the bottle please."

rima snorted and said, "im a lot tougher than you guys make me out to be."

Zen handed him the bottle as he sat down "we haven't had to fight anybody yet so you haven't been able to prove it" he said looking at the front door

"what was mark then?" she pointed out.

He nods slowly, popping a pill in his mouth, he took a swig, slipping his sleeping pill into the bottle. he held it, watching it disolve quickly, before holding it back out to the other two, "Thanks, I needed that."

"No problem Riker and if I remeber correctly Riker had to save you from him" said Zen taking a huge gulp of the crown royal and handing it over to Rima

rima stopped. "riker didnt save me. he just..." she took the bottle and took a large swig. "...aided me..."

"right because the fact he had a blade to your throut had nothing to do with the fact your are so strong" said Zen chugging a a quarter of the bottle

He frowned and looked over to her, "Now, you sure as hell didn't have it under control." he pushed her lightly and sighed.

Zen handed the bottle over to Rima just in time cause he passed out right there on the couch

he sighed, "guess he can't hold his liquor eh?" he picked him up and slung his arm over his shoulder, lugging him into the bedroom, laying him lightly on the bed.

rima looked at the bottle and then at zen now on the bed. "he can have..." she looked at the bottle again. "its not that...thats weird.."

"whats weird huh?" He sat back down, lighting a cigarette and shrugging, "your probably just imagining things"

Zen rolled over in his sleep as he dreamed about little kids screaming

she sat down next to him feeling a little dazed and said. "the bottle. he downed a lot before passing out. i dont know." she shrugged, "maybe he was just realy tired." she blinked a little and yawned. "i only had almost as many drinks as him"

"Dont worry bout it." he puffed out and looked at her, "I'm up. I'm fully charged, and I can take the watch." he nodded towards the bed, "go and rest up. We have alot of work to do tomorrow."

rima looked confused for a second then got a heavy feeling, "b-but dont leave o-okay? i dont want you to- " she stopped and fell to the pillow with a muffled, thud.

He smiled weakly and whispered, "I'm sorry." Picking up his crowbar and zens bat, he tiptoed out of the doorway, jamming the bat across the entrance, holding it shut, "I can't risk you guys." he shook his head and turned on his light, and began to walk down the door way slowly. If i where a homicidle maniac, where would I be? He shook his head.

He frowned looking around the corner. The air was still, the storm drumming against the walls ceaselessly. He groaned as he stepped around, counting the time in his head. "Right... okay... i hate this." He leaned against the wall. Than he turned around and jogged down the hall, turning down the passage towards the labs. "I... dont remember the lights being on... or the power for that matter..." he frowned, slowing down and peeking around the rooms, opening it slowly, he noticed a girl standing over one of the burners. He pressed himself against the wall and gasped quietly.

rima's eyes fluttered open for a minute and she sat up trying to remember how she got to the bed. zen feinted then a bottle and riker took night shift...and i...feinted as well...? she rubbed her eyes and seeing zen still asleep, she walked into the living room. no riker. "riker? where are you?" she looked in the bathroom and in the kitchen but couldnt find him. then it hit her. "damn it riker!" she ran into the bed room and shook zen. "zen! zen! wake up riker's gone!"

He closed his eyes, counting to three, before he crawled into the lab, hiding behind the desks he listened to a girls voice counting out ingredients. Crawling quietly behind her, he stood up quickly and brought the crowbar up. The woman spun around and lashed out with a sharp knife. Grunting as the blade cut him across the chest, he brought the bar down onto her arm, feeling it crack under the metal bar. Screaming, she dug the knife into his shoulder.

Next thing he knew, she grabbed the beaker and dashed out of the room, knife left sticking out of him. "we...well that...coulda...gone...be..better..." he panted and slid slowly to the floor, before sitting up quickly and screaming. "wh..whats s...he got?" he groaned, standing up he began to dash off towards the hiding spot, gasping as blood began to pour down his chest, "ju..just fu...fuckin...fucking... grea..t... how...sh...she go..got....in...." turning quickly, he saw a flicker of movment down the hallway, passing the hideout he sighed, slowly pulling himself down the hall and collapsing against the door, scrabbling with the bat he left jammed in the door before collapsing.

"damn it!" she ran out of the room past the still sleeping students and out the door. i can do it by myself. she thought. just as she got to the door, she saw zen's bat. not good. not good. she grabbed it up and looked out seeing riker on the ground. she ran over to him and set the bat down next to her. she began to cry, "damn it you fucking retard. i told you not to leave." she held him up as best as she could and set him in the room on the bed she was on. still crying she sat next to him and cleaned his chest wound.
