The Story No one is quite sure where the feud between vampires and werewolves began, but it seems that ever since time began the two races have been fighting with one another, whether it be over territory, justice, or just plain hatred. However, in the state of Alaska one hundred years ago, a truce was made between the vampires and werewolves. They agreed to split Alaska's territory evenly between the two of them, forming boundary lines between territories, and agreed to not bother each other. This worked, as said, for one hundred years. But now, one hundred years later in the year 2010, the truce has been broken. When one day a werewolf was found dead and bled dry on werewolf soil, the werewolves were quick to blame the vampires. Weather the accusation was true or not, this fueled their feud once more, and the war started up right where it left off... |
The Setting The setting is Alaska. The year is 2010. The month is early December. It is cold in Alaska, which the werewolves like. It is also dark in Alaska, which the vampires like. So, naturally, both races would like to live there and have as much territory as possible. With the vampire-werewolf truce broken, the vampires and werewolves are pretty much scattered all about Alaska. The territories and boundary lines from the truce before still stands somewhat, but aren't exactly honored like they used to be. Alaska itself, as stated, is cold and dark, it currently being winter time early in the December month. As time marches forward, the days keep getting shorter and the nights keep getting colder. Now, it is night time all the time. There will be no daylight until late January. As far as civilization goes, there are a few towns here and there about Alaska. Not so many cities, just basically small villages and towns and icy roads and snow. Where our small batch of characters are, each faction has his own base of sorts. The vampire family lives in an elegant, dark castle that is perched halfway up a mountain. The werewolf pack have taken refuge in an abandoned two-story house in the middle of nowhere by a large lake. The castle and abandoned home are estimated to be only about twenty miles apart, the two having moved locations to be closer to the border line and to be closer to the 'enemy'. |

The Things You Should Know General: NEW: Alaska, at the current point of time, it is always dark/night time. It will be like that until around January 24th. Werewolf Notes: The werewolf pack is not blood related, but still consider themselves something like family: a pack. You can be born a werewolf, only by two werewolves mating. Thus, there is no such thing as a half-werewolf. You can turn humans into werewolves by biting them during a full moon. That is the only way. You cannot turn vampires into werewolves. Werewolves like to conceal themselves from the public, and if they must go out in town, prefer to do so in their human forms. In their full wolf form, werewolves can still talk to each other, though it is by a more basic, animalistic means such as howling. The werewolf's werewolf form is its most powerful form and is often used for fighting. Werewolves get their power from the moon. The fuller the moon, the more power they have. Werewolves typically like to sleep during the day and do other activities at night, though the sunlight won't hurt them. Werewolves are very durable and tough and are very, very hard to kill. They can take a lot of damage. Werewolves aren't like humans and age very slowly, though aren't immortal like vampires. They can live for hundreds of years. Not being immortal like vampires, werewolves can die numerous ways, however, they also don't have the many 'weaknesses' vampires have. NEW: When werewolves shift from their wolf or werewolf form back into their human forms, they get to keep their original clothes on. Vampire Notes: Just because they are the Family doesn't mean they are blood related. They simply act and see each other as family. You cannot be born a vampire. You must have been turned at some point in time. Vampires are like super-humans, being very powerful with massive strength and great reflexes. Vampires grow more powerful with age. The older one is, the more powerful they are. Vampires need blood in order to live, and will usually obtain it on the easiest source: humans. Drinking blood from humans often kills humans, as it is very hard to stop drinking once you start. You can turn humans into vampires by giving them your blood right before they are about to die. You can 'glamor' humans, which is another word for hypnotize. Vampires cannot fly, though they can transform into vampire bats, which is another means of flight. Vampires are heavily weakened by the sun, and if exposed long enough, will burst into flames and die. Vampires sleep during most of the day and come out at night to feed on humans or do other such things. Vampires have been roaming the earth since the dawn of time and can live incredible lengths of over thousands of years. The vampire family in this rp was formed about two hundred years ago, to put it in perspective. Vampires can regenerate even if decapitated, though this takes time and does cause pain. The only ways to kill a vampire is by sunlight or a stake through the heart. Vampires are repulsed by garlic and the Christian cross. Vampires are physically weakened by silver, if touched, and they have a general fear of it. NEW: The vampires have a dungeon in the castle they keep humans, in which they captured and feed off of. |
The Rules General: Follow Menewsha rules. Just don't get the rp noticed or locked and we'll be good. This is a mature rp. Cursing, violence, gore, sexual themes, and use of drugs and alcohol may and probably will occur. The only thing I don't allow is descriptive sex scenes. Time skip for all our sakes. When typing out of character (OOC), please put a form of brackets around your text to keep things nice and organized. Literacy: This is a literate rp. I expect everyone to know how to generally spell things right and use grammar correctly. Mistakes are expected and fine. Just try to go back and correct as many as possible. I want at least one beefy paragraph a post. Beefy being a good ten sentences or more. This is not an adv. lit rp. I don't want 10+ paragraphs explaining how significant a piece of trash blowing in the wind was to your character. Quality over quantity: a good philosophy to follow. Activity: This is a group rp, so please be considerate. Don't join if you know you can't come online that much. I'd love for you to post at least once a day. Try for that anyway. If you don't post after a while with no word, I'll be inclined to give your spot to someone else. If you know you're going to be gone for an extended period of time, TELL ME so we can give your character and out and I don't have to kick you from the rp. Joining: To join, you'll have to PM me a filled out character skeleton found in the post somewhere above here. Title the PM for your character skeleton, weather it's a vampire or werewolf, "Restless Nights - Profile" so that I know what it is. I allow reserving. If you want to reserve a character, Just PM me saying so and what role you want to reserve. Reserves last for two days. After that, it goes back up for grabs. |

The hurried sound of pacing feet could be heard throughout the lower floor of the house. Every so often the noise would pause as the seemingly young lady glanced out of a cracked window, before she resumed the fast movements. It seemed she was worried, or perhaps thinking frantically. Needless to say, Liana's mind was whirring, she was unlikely to get any sleep for a while, even with the growing darkness of the days now it was winter.
Glancing away again, she made a soft, disgruntled sound before brushing strands of her whitish hair back. When it fell forwards again, she growled irritably, practically wrestling with the hair now in her annoyance. Despite the patience that Liana had gained over the years of being a pack leader, something had managed to push her over her limit, and an angry werewolf was never something to be desired. Occasionally words such as 'leech' and 'parasite' could be heard uttered from her lips as she scowled at the window again. The way things were going, Liana felt that she would have to go out hunting to try and cool off, unless she wanted to end up snapping at one of the other members of the pack. Yelling at someone like Molly would only serve to make her feel all the more guilty for it later. |
It was war, yet again. |
[imgright]http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab219/AnimeUnlimited/01%20Humanoids/01%20Male/13508884-1-1.png[/imgright]It'd been a long day- well, day as in night- for Memphis. It was that time of year again, as unfortunate as it was. The time of year where the sun hid itself all day. When they actually had daybreak they- the werewolves- at least had some time to rest up. But now... Now, it was too unpredictable, the vampires being able to come out at any time they wished. There was no rest. Not for them, anyway. Standing out in the cold Alaskan snow, Memphis looked up to the sky with a sideways smile. "Those bloodsuckers really did pick the perfect time to start another war." He said to himself.
With a simple sigh, he then looked back to the ground, in which a good-sized doe lied in a bloody pool. Dinner. It was nothing to transform back into his wolf form that he had been in for the majority of the time, his true form being a large white wolf, picking the bloody carcass up in his powerful jaws, dragging it back towards what he had come to know as home. To his pack. Once arriving at the old, abandoned house, Memphis pushed the front door in lightly with his snout, still in his wolf form, and dragged his catch of the day all the way into the first floor kitchen. Luckily, the deer was pretty much frozen from being dragged through the snow and didn't leave much of a blood trail. However, upon interring said kitchen, he seemed he wasn't alone. He just starred up at Liana for a moment before dropping 'dinner' right there in the middle of the floor and transforming back into his human form. He stretched a bit, cracking his spine from the uncomfortable transformation. "You look happy." He laid in sarcastically, though almost with a sympathetic look. He'd understand why she wouldn't be. She had a lot on her plate, after all. Especially as their pack leader. |
Molly sat quietly in one of the second floor rooms of the old house her pack had decided to stay in. A sigh escaped her as she stared out the window looking at the dark clouds hanging in the night sky. Liana was downstairs, upset, so Molly stayed in the little room. If She went downstairs she would probably say something stupid and set the woman off by mistake, something that Molly did not want at all. With a war starting up again, Molly felt even more out of place. She wasn't around for the first war. She didn't remember what it was like.
Her nose twitched at the smell of fresh blood. She looked out the broken window and watched Memphis dragging a deer towards the house. "Guess he got dinner." She mumbled to herself. Still she stayed put for a moment. Then Molly got to her feet and let her body change into her sleek black wolf form. It was a stark contrast to her normal white hair, but Molly didn't mind the change too much. Even in her wolf form, Molly was frustrated by the fact that she still looked like a cub. Small and petite as a human, she was the same as a wolf. Molly jumped through the broken window and landed almost silently on the snow covered porch roof. She just sat and stared up at the dark sky. Her mind wondering. A thought ran through her head and she wondered where Tarek had disappeared to, but he did that a lot. Then she thought of the vampires. Being the runt of their pack, Molly had only seen them on occasion. She never actually had to fight them. Yet one more thing to make her feel like she wasn't exactly a full fledged member of the pack yet. Hopefully she would be able to prove herself when the time came. But for now she just sat on the roof watching the clouds, until someone called for her. |
[IMGRIGHT]http://i56.tinypic.com/2zz2kcw.jpg[/IMGRIGHT]Light flooded into his eyes as whiteness swallowed him whole. Snorting, the rusty haired male rolled over onto the endless sea of sheets. The light amber skin tone broke through the cloud-like heaven his body was nestled upon. A gentle whimper came from her direction. Smirking at his situation, he was proud to be a werewolf rather than a filthy bloodsucker. Had he been breed that wicked species, the woman he just soiled would have been not only his sexual appetizer, but also his dessert.
His golden eyes looked lustfully into hers as he placed a light kiss on her forehead. "I'm a dead man, you know that right." His lips moved flawlessly as he spoke each syllable of the words that danced off his lips. "But you like being a bad girl, so I guess I'm not to blame." A quick nose nuzzle followed before the male stood and sought out his clothing. Scratching his head, Tarek shot the naked woman a puzzled look. "Did you eat my clothes or something?" Her head shook a bashful no. "Heh. Oh well. I heard nude is in these days. Later." Placing his black framed glasses on his nose, the male waved her a farewell. Slipping outside, Tarek morphed into his rust colored wolf form. A large puff of exhaled air circled around his muzzle. "Well that was fun. It's a shame we only agreed for a single one night stand.... Hmmmm, I wonder where the pack is and what they are up to." Ears flicking forward, then shooting back, Tarek darted toward the forest where home was. With each embrace made by his paws to the earth, the wolf picked up speed. He wasn't a powerful beast, but he was fast. Speed and deception, those were his ultimate skills. If there was ever a skill more necessary for survival it would be speed - speed to run away and flee. Too bad Tarek was a stubborn fool who wouldn't abandon his family. With home now in his golden eyes, the wolf slowed to a near haunt. Trotting up the path, Tarek Lovell resumed his atrocious posture. Being the loner, he was more or less seen as an omega, or the lowest ranking member of the pack. Being as he was, Tarek wasn't one to really fuss or mind this little label he was given. The baggage and shit he had to deal with was what he thrived for. He actually felt useful during these times. It was the void that killed him and drove him away. However, Tarek had always been the independent kind of man, so even though he hated being alone, he ultimately loved it. "Hey," the red colored wolf muttered under his breath. "What are my duties for tonight, my lady?" Lowering his head five inches lower so his black nose almost gracefully skimmed the ground, Tarek's wandering eyes shifted about to analyze the situation he imposed himself upon. "I sense an unease. Are the vamp-pricks out, again?" Head still lower than the alpha's, Tarek waited for the answers. But, he half expected to be ignored as he was typically overlooked. |
Fox rolled her eyes as she heard the sound coming from the dungeon below her as she moved rather calmly about the castle. She rose a brow as she walked into the the dinning room as the smell of the proteins that she now found taste attracted her attention. A smile rose on her lips as she walked to her place at the table and picked up her own glass as she stared at it. She loved how beautiful the blood looked in the glass. She knew she should have some pain for living such a way but she was after all one thousand years old the shock of such a life had ended many years eariler for her.
She closed her eyes as she lifted the glass to her nose and enjoyed the smell of it. "Ah, A- it would seem would be our delight for the day. I really must teach him better though." She said before taking a sip. She enjoyed her sip for a moment before her eyes open slowly. Something was missing from this picture where where the others of their family. Yes it was true that her and Blood himself where the eldest of the family and where more laid back than the others. But the others where about and stirring by now. She turned and left the dinning room her glass in hand as she walked to Blood's Library. She stood with in the door frame and knocked on the door knowing he enjoyed his privacy as she herself did in her old age. "May I come in for a bit? The house is so quite other than the cries from the blow. We need clean the humans they are starting to smell.....have you seen the others today?" She said as casually as ever as she tried to lessen for the other members of their family. "It has been quite for far to long with the wolfs. Trouble is brewing and we both know it. I think I am going to get some more blood from the locals when I go on my visits today. I am to be working rather late so you know. I promise not to do anything stupid to get the wolfs attention. I am more worried about one of the others doing something and not knowing." She admitted as she stared at the many books in the room and took a sip from her glass. http://flexter.myflexiland.com/00003..._dark_zero.jpg |
Lucas didn't even lift his eyes from the page in his book when he'd heard the bare sounds of the footsteps along the hallway. He was quite sure he knew who that was. When he'd heard the knock and had heard her start talking, he only nodded in silent reply to the first question and lifted his gaze from the book the moment he'd turned the page. "I'm afraid not," he said before he'd sighed and reached out to take his glass, "I just hope they aren't bringing themselves any trouble." |
Ruth had been gone for hours, driving the snow mobile in widening circles around her home. She said it was to patrol for wolves, and it was, but more so than that she loved the feel of icy air whipping her hair into a tangled mess. Wearing goggles to protect her eyes and a tightly wound red scarf to cover her neck and face, Ruth was only mildly bothered by the cold. Being dead did have its advantages.
Half hoping to run into a wolf but knowing that a solo confrontation with the pack had a poor chance of survival, Ruth pressed the vehicle to go faster. She wanted to kill the wolves. All of them. Then her family would be safe and she could spend time relaxing. Perhaps take a lover. It had been so long that Ruth was beginning to wonder if vampires and humans were compatible for sex. She had never tried it before. Pushing the thought to the back of her mind, Ruth checked the fuel gauge, and turned to head home when she saw it was almost empty. Inside her home Ruth removed her layers of outerwear and stomped the snow off her boots. Smelling the blood, she followed her nose to the kitchen where she found the still warm glasses of blood. Licking her suddenly parched lips Ruth gently took one and took a slow sip. It tasted like heaven. Glancing from side to side to make sure she was alone in the kitchen, Ruth tipped the cup up and gulped the rest of the blood greedily. It was gone in seconds so she licked the edges of the glass to get every last drop. Ruth would never do this in front of her family, but alone she indulged in a little gluttony. Rinsing the glass in the sink and following the sound of soft voices, Ruth went upstairs to the library. Finding the door open she entered quietly. "Hello Lucas, Fox." She said tipping her head to each of the older vampires. "What do you think would happen if we had sex with a human and then drained them after? Do you think it would be worth the effort? I don't seem to remember human men being very skilled between the sheets back when I was alive... but that was a long time ago. Maybe they have changed." |
The sound of the front door opening was enough to knock Liana out of her pacing rage. Her head jerked to the side and growled softly in warning before seeming to relax slightly. She dipped her head in greeting before raising an eyebrow at the frozen doe. “Of course, why on earth would I not seem happy? After all, everything is perfect is it not?” She answered in a cold, sarcastic tone. Really, she couldn’t stand ‘jokes’ at the moment, not with all the stress. They had lost a werewolf and the only possible cause was the vampires. War had reached them again, something she had hoped would never happen. Even if she despised the blood suckers, peace was the better option, there was no doubt about that. “Thank you Memphis for conducting the hunt, you should have gone with someone else though, it’s dangerous now to be on our own” Liana murmured softly, crouching down to lift the doe and set it on the table. They may have been wolves, but they weren’t savage.
Sounds of feet outside made the alpha stiffen again, her eyes narrowing very slightly. She had tensed up, refusing to move until the next wolf entered the room, this time Tarek. Her high tension and short fuse was not a safe combination and to see Tarek acting so submissive, it brought her close to snapping. “In your human form Tarek” She spoke sharply before closing her eyes, brows furrowed slightly. “There are no duties for the night, other than to stay close to the pack. With war declared I will not see another werewolf die, not while I am Alpha.” She said calmly. Even now, the thought, the memory of seeing the dead werewolf was fresh in her mind. It was like a painful wound that someone continuously prodded, turning red and angry. She wanted revenge, she wanted the vampires to pay for their breaking of the treaty. However, it was her loyalty to her pack, her make shift family, that prevented Liana from charging ‘all-guns-blazing’ into the leeches lair and tear as many of them apart as possible, including stakes through the heart for extra measure. Opening her eyes slowly, Liana exhaled a breath she hadn’t realised she had been holding. “Where is Molly? As much as I know you all value your freedom, I would prefer everyone stay close, at least for the first week. They have killed once, who knows when they will try to kill again” Her voice was calm, but it was clearly heard, the worried underlying tone. |
Memphis couldn't help but smile with Liana's sarcastic reply to his question, only to be thanked and partially scolded afterwards. "Yeah, I thought you might say something like that." He replied with the same smile. Really, he figured Liana worried too much. He had seen his fair share of war and felt comfortable enough to be out on his own. But then again, she was the alpha. It was her job to worry, despite what he thought himself capable of. "I'll be sure to stick around more then." He then stated, mostly to only please her and get her off his case as he watched her set the doe up on the table as if they were actually civilized: something Memphis had stopped trying to do after a certain point in his life. Been there, done that he figured.
No sooner than that did their very own loner of the pack come in. Memphis stepped back a bit to let the other enter, now leaning on the wall a bit as he observed his fellow pack member. He really did wonder where the guy went most of the time. He was rarely ever around. But, it seemed he'd have to be around a lot more now... courtesy of Liana's orders. He listened as their leader then began explaining her position. He didn't blame her for the way she saw things, taking it all in carefully and wanting the pack to stay together. But, whatever her decisions, he'd support her all the way. "I'll get her." Memphis then spoke up when Molly was mentioned. He had known she was on the roof, having seen her when he had come home, her apparently having been watching him. He didn't say anything on it earlier, only slightly humored by it, but now the information seemed to prove useful. Without another word, he began to ascend the kitchen stairs to the second floor. Before long, he had come to one of the broken windows. And sure enough, there she was on the roof, looking up to the sky. He himself transformed into his white wolf form once more and jumped through the window to the rooftop. "So here's where you are." He began in the standard, modernized wolf-language, as if he hadn't known, coming up and sitting beside her. "I saw you on my way back." He then admitted. "You seem quieter than usual. Everything okay?" |
It seemed like his family was slowly gathering themselves back to their real home, this castle. The sight of Ruth made him smile and he shifted to shut his book and put it onto the table with his half-drunken glass of wine. "Quite nice of you to join us, Ruth," he started before he'd gotten up to his feet. The male's hair wasn't tied up so when he'd stood up, the curly strands fell about his face. He brushed them back but a few had found themselves to fall back onto the side of his face. |
Molly's nose stared twitching again. She smelled Tarek, but something else too. She let her shoulders droop as she shook her head. She could smell the woman on him already as he entered the house. Why he had the strange desire to go and sleep with random women, she could never figure out, but she would be having a serious conversation with him about it later. Being the one that had found her and first brought her to see Liana, Molly had a sort of special connection to Tarek. If he hadn't have found her, she probably would have starved out in the cold Alaskan wilderness. But he had found her and practically carried her back to the pack.
She didn't look right away when she heard Memphis join her on the roof. She just kept staring up at the sky. "I'm just thinking, and not trying to piss off Liana." She explained. It seemed to be her explanation for everything. She finally turned her head and looked at Memphis with a sigh. He sat there, so majestic and powerful. A truly beautiful animal. Molly on the other hand was a bit pathetic to see. Her paws were still too big and her legs too long, she had yet to fully grow into them. She was like a clumsy puppy. At least she finally stopped tripping over her feet by now. That had always been embarrassing. Molly looked back to the sky as hew mind wondered and tried to not think of her failures. She let herself change back into the small petite human that was her other half as she sat there in the snow. She tended to prefer wearing her white dress, a stark contrast to the others, but she didn't mind. It blended in easily enough with the snow and it let her wonder around town easily enough should she ever be aloud to go back there. In her human form it was easier to talk, well, when it came to detailed questions. Molly looked to Memphis and then down at her tiny hands. "So I know that the war is starting again, but i wasn't even alive during the last war i don't really know what all this is going to be like. I've only ever seen one vampire and it was from a distance. I have no idea what they are like." A sigh escaped her as she shivered. "What exactly is going to happen?" She knew he couldn't really give her a real answer. No one knew what was going to happen. But it was what was on her mind, and since he seemed to be the first person to care to ask she told him. She looked at him, her big eyes staring intently as the moon shined off her white hair that almost matched his white fur. |
Tarek wasn't really in the mood to expose his naked self to Liana. Rather than shifting there, the wolf retreated to his quarters. They were down in the lower section of the house, furthest from everyone. His room was dark and obviously depressing. Slumping onto his neatly mended bed, the male exhaled. Staring up at the ceiling, Tarek could feel his heart sink. "Molly," he could see her torn face and teary eyes. It killed him to betray her as such, but she really wasn't right for him. Yes, he was her hero, her everything, but she needed better. Eyes closing, he knew he would have to face her scorn sooner or later, so he opted for sooner.
Now rummaging through his drawers, the male finally came across his button up top and a pair of tight-fitting slender pants. Quickly flipping into them, the male scooted into the hallway. It was dim and damp, but he didn't mind. The spiders that cluttered the corners seemed to wave him a friendly goodbye as he walked up the stairs. "Later, friends." A small smile slipped onto his face, but soon vanished. Looking down the main corridor, the rusty haired man exhaled again. Roof. He knew it was Molly's favorite place. But how to get there without shifting forms? Pondering this for a second, he opted for the muscle building route. The crunching sound of snow came from beneath his booted feet. The snow was stiffer than usual, but it made walking atop it far easier. However, that soon ended when Tarek found himself up to his thighs in snow. Just under the ledge where Molly was perched, Tarek stretched his body to grab the top of the snow. Slowly, ever so slowly, the male hoisted himself onto the top crust of snow. Sliding onto his knees and then onto his heels, Tarek reached up to the gutter. Fingers going numb, he felt every muscle in his body tense. He wasn't a heavy man, but it was still a lot of dead weight to pull up. Hand turning into a clawful mess, Tarek found himself before Molly. Nose touching nose, he slid his head back, but this caused his weight to shift too far back. Eyes widening, he grasped the thing nearest him, who just so happened to be poor Molly. Taking her with him wasn't part of the plan, but it was nice to have a ball of warmth resting on him. Although, the pain that shot in his head was enough to make the male vomit. "Hey, doll." Clearing his throat, Tarek prepared himself for her full on blush. It was probably her dream come true, but Tarek new better than to seduce her. "Would you mind getting your nose out of my crouch, hun." His weight shifted as he attempted to sit up. To his surprise, this caused a chain reaction. Not only did the snow give away under his butt, but it also forced Molly to come sliding down to his face. Head in a hole and Molly's face mere inches from his own, Tarek's cheeks flushed some. "Damn girl. You're feisty today. But you're not getting a kiss. Like I've told you before, you deserve better. One day I foresee you as alpha. You can't be seen with a lowlife scum such as myself." Her heart was against his, and, as he spoke, he could feel her beating slowly fade. "Aww, come on, sweetie. Don't get all emotional. I'm doing this for you. Trust me. I'm not good enough for you." |
[imgright]http://static.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/225354-bigthumbnail.jpg[/imgright]Liana chuckled quietly, a slight shaking of her head at Memphis' words. "Am I really that predictable then? Don't bother answering" She chuckled, turning to the drawers, planning to cut meat from the doe. The alpha had often been questioned in her early years as the leader as to why she chose this method when it came to preparing the meal. For Liana, it was a simple matter that old habits die hard, especially once beaten into you. She had been a maid for her entire human life, it was hard for her to completely let go of every custom and jobs taught to her. |
Molly could sense Tarek coming, but she wasn't really in the mood to speak to him. She fought off the tears at the thought of him with someone else. She had been honest with him, in confessing her feelings. It was the one time she had been bold, the one time she decided to say something instead of just sitting back and waiting. And what did she get? Rejection. Tarek always told her that she deserved better, but she didn't want better, she knew she couldn't get it. Even as a human her love life was an epic catastrophe, just like everything else, and it was that way even in the pack.
Before Memphis had a chance to answer her,Tarek had pulled himself up onto the roof. Molly turned her head just in time for his face to be nose to nose with hers. Her cheeks flushed an immensely bright red color, then he grabbed her and tumbled off the roof with her. She landed unharmed on top of him. She had closed her eyes in the split second of the fall and when she opened them upon hearing Tarek's voice, her face got even redder, seeing that her face was in his lap. Molly tried to scramble back, but then the snow gave way and she fell forward yet again on top of him. Her heart was pounding like a drum against her chest as she felt his warm breath on her face. For a moment, Molly was surprised to see his face flush beneath her, but she pushed the thought aside as he spoke. "Me? Alpha? Are you crazy?" She was still trying to fight off tears as she looked at him. "There is no way i would ever become alpha, I'm too useless and klutzy, I can't do a thing right." She pushed herself up off him and let out a frustrated sigh. After rolling around in the snow, her dress was practically see through. She looked at him, ignoring the dress, and getting back to what he had been saying. "You always say that, you aren't good enough, but I've told you I disagree." She looked at him as a single tear fell down her cheek. "How could you go into town and be with some random woman?" Her voice was full of hurt. "I-I know you don't love me. But still...to do that?" Her big eyes stared at him. He was the closest person she had. For him to do something so stupid, really hurt her. She was so wrapped up in the fall and Tarek she hadn't even noticed their alpha come out. Molly got to her feet, not really wanting to stay on top of him, but when she turned around she froze seeing Liana. Her face flushed more as she gently dipped her head towards her leader. "S-sorry." She stuttered briefly before she disappeared into the house, her arms wrapped around herself to try and hide as much as she could. She wanted dry clothes and to just be away from Tarek for the moment. |
Laying there with his back getting damp, Tarek blinked several times. Mouth ajar and breathing slowed to a near stop, the male's eyes shifted toward the spot were Molly once stood.
She had changed. She was no longer the sorry, bleeding, dying pup she used to be. Over the past few years, Tarek was privileged to watch the girl morph into a beautiful woman. With each day she grew stronger, better, and far more gorgeous. And yet, for some bizarre reason, he just couldn't commit himself to her. She needed stability. He wanted compassion. They would have been the ideal couple, but he saw himself as too corrupt for her. He was unwilling to soil her. Tarek wasn't that kind of man. In his eyes, Molly was an innocent angel. When he looked in the mirror, Tarek saw himself as a tainted fallen angel. The snow continued to melt around him as he stared up into the sky. The glistening lights from above weren't helpful. Instead, they played a scene over and over in his head. The night he stumbled across her. There she laid for dead. Unable to see such a wondrous person die, Tarek carried Molly home. The trek home was long and dangerous, but he wasn't going to abandon the female. He vowed on her weakened body that he would forever stand by her side. At first, he meant it as a brother and a protector, but her love for him was slowly bringing about a change. Swallowing, Tarek pushed himself up. Looking at Liana, the male's hollow eyes showed a tearful expression. He knew he had hurt Molly and the effects of it were finally visible on his slender face. "I'm sorry, my lady." Bowing, Tarek ran off into their cozy home. He had to find her. Apologizing like there was no tomorrow was his only hope to win back her trust. Running down the hall, Tarek found the flight of stairs that led to her tower-like room. She was lucky, but unlucky at the same time. She was given a room in a tower, but that room was holy and far away from the rest of the pack's rooms. For some odd reason, the alpha put their rooms nearby. Only rather than going to the basement, Tarek had to take the stairs up. It was a long run. Each step seemed to suck the strength out of him a little more, but he wouldn't slow his pace. He needed to get to her as fast as he could to beg for forgiveness. Once outside her rickety white door, Tarek thrust himself against it. Head rested against the door, he pounded lightly on it. "Molly. Molly, please don't be like this. Let me in. We need to talk. Please, Molly. Don't lock me out." A patch of light hit his foot, and instead of waiting for her to open the door, Tarek took the side entrance - her balcony window. Slipping outside, he scaled the slender edge that would eventually lead to her balcony. Once it was in sight, he jumped down onto it. Walking in, he saw the female balled up on her bed. She looked so peaceful, so innocent. She was playing a trick on him, again. No matter how hard Tarek tried not to long for the girl, she would always do something that would call him back. Laying there as she was, Tarek couldn't help but stare. Pulling his jaw tight, he rusty haired male crept over to her bed. His arms swallowed her slender body whole. The embrace sent a shiver down his back. Holding her in the stillness of the moment caused Tarek's heart to skip a beat. "Molly, don't hate me. I only want the best for you." His cold nose was nestled against her ear. "Please, please forgive me." ---------- [[Oh. My. God. I'm sooooo sorry this post was so long. I felt I needed to explain the relationship Tarek and Molly have, but I really didn't expect it to be this long. My bad!]] |
Molly heard Tarek outside her door but she just curled herself up into a ball and buried her face in her arms. "Go away." She mumbled almost inaudibly. She felt sick. Tarek was that one person she could always count on, that one person she always trusted and knew she could count on. But now, he had hurt her and she didn't know what to do. She had learned to deal with the one sided love she had for him, but she had always hoped that maybe one day he would see her differently.
When Tarek wrapped his arms around he would have been able to feel her body trembling. She just sat in his arms for a while as she tried to calm down. Eventually she sniffed and sat up straighter in his arms. She attempted to wipe the tears off her pale cheeks, but there were too many so she gave up and just looked at the man holding her. "I don't hate you." she said quietly before she wrapped her arms around him and held on to him. "But did you really think I wouldn't find out? I can still smell her on you." She wiped at her eyes again. "I know you aren't mine or anything, but you know how I feel." More tears dripped down her cheeks as she balled herself up in his lap. Tarek was the only one who could comfort her. Even though he was the one that had caused her to be upset, he was the only one with any hope of making her feel better. She looked up at him once more, her big eyes now red and puffy. "Tarek, you know i love you and i know you don't exactly feel the same but i know you care enough." She put a tiny hand on his cheek. "Please, just stop lying to me. I am tired of this 'I'm not good enough for you' bullshit." It wasn't often that she swore, and the word felt weird in her mouth. "Just tell me the truth, please." Her eyes searched his, hoping he would comply with her request. |
