"I apprieciate your help" Zanthe continued following Chandra. "Where abouts" Zanthe smiled. "I can help you" Zanthe smiled and started flying just slightly floating above the ground. "Hunter, needs to know how to control his... elf side" Zanthe smiled shaking his head. "Hunter, doesn't know how to control himself. I just hope he hasn't done any damage to the poor girl." Zanthe shook his body loosening his tense muscles.

((Who is.. Hunter or Zanthe?))

Chandra

”She was alright… just confused….and I doubt you can help me… in fact you may be in danger if you come” She said quietly. She was frowning at the ground in thought, finally arriving at the inn. She opened the door, not really paying attention to anyone, not even the muse and ghost. She was looking at the walls instead. She was puzzled, she knew they were down there. She’d felt the demons awake yet she saw no difference as the entrance closed automatically after a few minutes.

”I … am by nature a destroyer of demons. I may be unable to shield you….” She said absently as she studied the walls. She was unaware an anxious Rebecca was watching from nearby with an unhappy expression. Rebecca could feel the demons and spirits stirring as well as Chandra could and was close to coming to her own decision…

((hunter xD he was the one who was up when I said that. Though I really like Zan’s dragon form xD.))

----------

Shaya

Shay decided from what the other said she should stay nearer her. She could be of more use that way it seemed if she was less experienced with that blade. She was nervous, however, she could feel something had changed down here. It even smelled different to her though she couldn’t say how. She had been so careful… how had this happened?

”Yes… at the fork of four tunnels we’ll go through the second from the right to get to the nearest stone but they all lead to their own …it’s like a maze down here but each tunel seems to have a purpose…” She said quietly in answer to Ti. She was walking a little faster now, uncomfortable. She knew something was wrong but she couldn’t but a finger on what…

"I wont be in danger" Zanthe turned back into his human form before walking into the inn. "Where do you need to go" Zanthe coughed and frowned. "I...I.. I'm a Demon Prince, but I am harmless" Zanthe flipped his hair, after running his finger through it. "I can get you, wherever you need to go quickly" Zanthe blinked and leaned against the front desk.

Chandra

”My energy won’t care… all that matters to it is demon blood. You will not feel it as badly as a full demon so may live… but that’s the best I can assure… I was made to destroy demons, not to judge what they are…so I would not recommend being there. “ She said quietly, shrugging her shoulders. She was not really looking at him still and instead feeling down the walls. She had intended to do an in depth search when she had time…

Rebecca

”If you’re looking for the entrance… it’s this way..” She said quietly, becoming visible just behind them. When Chandra nodded she floated towards the picture that Shaya had used. She gave instructions on how to use it in soft whispers to Chandra who obeyed them so the wall slid open, already the ancient demons could be heard as they looked down it. Rebecca would begin to lead the way…

Mei-Zhen nodded, following the other two. Each tunnel had a purpose? That didn't bode well, considering what inhabited them. She kept her blade out, ready for anything that might try to charge them, and watched the tunnel ahead. There was an almost imperceptible shift in her eyes, those of her true form not differing in shade, but the slit pupil allowed her to let more light in, giving her sharper sight. She knew she couldn't hope to see as well as the man ahead of them, but it was better than before.

Ti gave a nod in response to Shaya's directions, leading the way through the gloom as they quickened their pace. The haunting sounds had started up again, and the brief glimpses he got of the demons was starting to shake him a little. Every now and again one of them would be caught in the dim light of the orb Mei had provided, their illuminated faces stirring memories of the nightmares that plagued him.

He shook his head, trying to clear the images from his mind and focus again on Shaya's words. There were four main stones and each tunnel before them had a different nature. Taking in what he had seen so far, he added that to the puzzle, his mind quickly forgetting the ghastly images and the once more growing feel of claustrophobia as it tried to break down the enigma.

Turning at the sound of other people entering the inn, the muse tilted her head to the side. Her rainbow hued hair concentrated, shifted and changed until it was the color of a dark amethyst. The colors represented her mood, and now Kyna was curious. Waving once to Mary, she smiled her thanks then walked over to the dragon. "Hello, Sir Dragon. Maybe I could help with... Whatever is going on." The muse had inspired fighters before, once upon a time. She knew things, and learned with time just as anyone else did. So it was that little bits of knowledge sometimes flitted to the surface of her mind like a fish, only to dart away quickly leaving only a ripple upon the surface.

Isaac had shrugged after putting the battered bag under the bed. Standing once more, the young man retraced his steps till he stood in the entrance way of the inn. His eyes went to the woman and the sliding door, and for once in his life ideas did not come rushing to him. Kyna was distracted, and Isaac couldn't blame her. Moving forward to examine the door, Isaac smiled. His grey eyes traveled over the mechanisms of the door, taking in the wheels and cogs with great interest.

"Are you sure that it's Aftermath, Lionel...?" Kim said softly, her attention going to Lionel after watching Rebecca leave.

"I... Actually, I'm not sure." Lionel said after a minute, running a hand through his hair. "It... It feels like the day the exorcists came... There was something else where I was... But it wasn't good. A demon, maybe. That's probably why they were there."

Kim nodded, biting her nail after Lionel steadied himself and was standing on his own weight. If it was anything he could relate to that day, that meant that it wasn't good, and couldn't possibly be taken lightly.

Lionel, noting her furrowed brows and anxious posture, said, "It's not like we can do anything about it. We don't know your powers, and I'm a ghost. What we should do is try to find more on this Lorelei Curse."

Kim shifted from foot to foot, sighed, then put the book she'd been reading back on the shelf. She knew what it looked like, so if the ghosts happened to move it, she'd be able to locate it. "You know what? If no one's out at the beach, I'd like to see just what I can do with the water. I already know I can breathe under it."

Kim headed out of the library- she'd look up more on her curse later- and swiftly went out of the Inn, Lionel hot on her heels.

((Sorry I was away for so long. ^^; I had a busy two days...))

Hunter sat on the front steps of the inn, thinking and knowing she was right. Hunter heard footsteps coming towards the door, and he shrunk hiding under the steps until whoever it was left. Hunter smiled when he seen that it was Kim, but remembering that she 'hated him' he stayed and watched from afar.

Zanthe sighed "I'm not afraid of danger, I'm coming" Zanthe said walking over to the wall where Chandra and Rebecca were standing. "I know where they are, all of them. I'd be useful" Zanthe said sniffing the air.

"I doubt it, there are many of the people whom I command underground causing havoc." Zanthe sighed turned away and focusing his attention on the dark staircase.

Shaya

Shaya left the others to their silence, leading them to the nearest stone. She felt the air seemed heavier and it made her breath catch. It felt to warm and she found herself starting to remove the cloak out of instinct before she managed to stop herself. Was that the idea? Were the demons trying to make her warmer? Or was her fever just returning?

Chandra

”I can not stop you… just be careful. I have no desire to kill an innocent. “ She said quietly after watching Zan a moment in thought. She shook her head and sighed, glancing towards the front door as a pretty girl with dark hair exited. She spotted Hunter’s familiar dark hair a moment, the straight strands creating a rush of movement as he ducked under the steps. She’d been hard on him… but perhaps it would allow him to learn. As the muse spoke to Zan she found her attention pulled away however.

”We are going demon hunting so I do not know what use you will be…” She stated bluntly, despite not being the one asked. She then turned and began to walk, Rebecca leading them towards Shaya. She noticed the ghost seemed distracted but determined somehow. Just what was the ghost up to? The demons did seem focused on the area they were leading them to so she trusted it was the right direction, she just wasn’t so sure of the lost souls motives….

"How do you call that?" Lionel asked, noting the lack of people on the beach. There were none. Granted, the sky was overcast and it was cooler, but did the people just decide not to go anywhere? Whatever the reason, Lionel was somewhat grateful.

"I suppose the ocean tells me. It calls me, so why can't it tell me other things? It's an effect of my curse. A connection to the water." She said, twirling around in the sand. She kicked off her sandals and stepped in the water. It lapped affectionately at her ankles. She laughed, then took a deep breath, took a few steps forward, now on top of the water. She smiled spinning as she walked on the water. She dropped to the sand, the water coming up to her knees now. "Well, I can cross that one off my wish-I-could list."

Lionel laughed. "I always thought you could do that," He said, crossing his arms, "Don't know why, just knew."

"Kinda like when the ocean tells me things." Kim said, tossing her hair over her shoulder. She still had to get used to this. She still kept in consideration the option of cutting it short.

"I guess." Lionel said with a smirk, lightly tapping his feet on the sand, "Y'know, I might be just like you. I just don't remember. There had to be a reason you found me."

Kim's smile dropped. "I guess. Some things do happen by chance, though." She walked back to the shore. "I mean, how else would I have gotten... cursed?"

"Eh, true. But still. You managed to get me out of there." Lionel smiled, putting his hands on her shoulders, "And I'm still very grateful for that."

Hunter's jaw fell open, she could walk on water. "WhaWhaWha?" Hunter whispered to himself, and then popping out from under the stairs. But still too small for anyone to really see, and walked closer to the beach. Forgetting the time limit on his shrinking ability he grew to his full size and crawling far enough away and walking back to the inn casually.

Hunter started walking behind Chandra and Rebecca. "I can protect myself from demons, my father is most likely there. He will make sure nothing happens to me" Zanthe said walking past Chandra and Rebecca. Transfroming into his dragon form, and lighting a 3 sticks on fire. Handing one to Rebecca and one to Chandra, and then keeping one for himself, Zanthe then turned to his normal self. " There's demons near us, If we continue this way we'll be fighting 5-6 demons." Zanthe said looking forward down the path.

"On to happier things." Kim interrupted Lionel's speech, which would probably get relatively mushy in a matter of minutes. The last time she'd actually let him finish one of them, she cried because it was so sweet. If Lionel wasn't dead, he'd probably be her boyfriend. Neither could really imagine life without the other.

She knelt by the water and noted that it gushed up to meet her knees. The way the ocean seemed now, so eager to see her, kind of reminded her of a dog. She figured that the ocean was a patient being, but protected, and sometimes over protected the beings within its boundaries. She smiled, placing her hand in the water, and when she pulled it out, a small orb of water rested in her hand. Immediately, she started playing with it, twisting it into different shapes. It felt surreal in a way. Water wasn't supposed to be controlled like this, and yet she could. It could be both a solid and liquid mass at the same time when Kim played with it. Laughing, she thought, Maybe this 'curse' won't be so bad after all.

Lionel sat beside her, crossing his legs. "You seem to be enjoying yourself."

"I am." Kim said, beaming, "I didn't think that a curse could be... Well, I don't know the right word for it. But I didn't think it would be like this."

"Ehh, just be careful. It is a curse. It'll probably have points in which it bites." Lionel warned.

Kim glared, dropping the water back in the ocean. "Spoilsport."

The two were soon laughing, though. Kim knew that Lionel was right, and that he meant no harm in the statement, but did he really have to say that right now? Well, maybe he did. She knew that she could cheer herself up by drawing and playing with the ocean a little bit more.

((don't forget a post for Zanthe xD. and he wont die being he's not a full blood and she wont be trying to kill him >.>.... it'll just hurt a lot if she has to use any attack that requires to much concentration to be able to shield him XD. She can shield 'friendly' targets slightly but ultimately she WAS made purely to destroy things of the dark >.>))

Chandra

”I doubt your father has power here… these are ancient wild demons who have long lost themselves to their base instincts and insanity when the one‘s who summoned them many years ago died without releasing them… You will be simply another snack to them and the rogue demon they worship. “….She said quietly but glanced to Rebecca. She frowned as Rebecca explained it was the quickest route, believing her simply because it made sense. The demons would stand in her way deliberately, keeping her from the demon’s binding place… She nodded and spoke again.

“We have no chose but to go the quickest route if we wish to stop that demon from being summoned, so if that‘s through these five to six demons… so be it. I can sense nothing here strong enough to harm me. “ She said simply, shrugging at Zan. She was already holding her bladed war fans spread open now, the metal glowing faintly at the nearness of the demons. She was ready and happy to fight..

"You're probably right, but that's okay" Zanthe shrugged. "Here they come" Zanthe said pulling out a small switchblade out of his shoe. Holding it away from Chandra, he pushed a button. Zanthe watched his blade grow, into a beautiful elegant jade sword. "Lets fight" Zanthe smiled running forward towards the demons who were awaiting them.

Hunter turned around as he was entering the inn, he walked over to the beach. "You're not human?" Hunter asked walking onto the sand. "Neither Am I, I have no room to talk" Hunter sat down in the sand. "I truly am sorry, and I understand if you never want to speak to me, or see me again." Hunter said wiping a tear off his cheek.

” of course…. “ Chandra said simply with a shrug, holding her fans at her sides. She walked slowly, unlike Zan. She was cold, calculating in battle. She enjoyed it on a level, as it made her feel alive as no other activity did just as the celestials had made it. Efficiency, however, was her focus that she never lost track off. She planned out every action, every reaction, always making sure she was at least two steps ahead of her enemy…

Mei-Zhen fidgeted with her grip on the wakizashi, still somewhat uncomfortable with the blade. She did have to admit it was beautifully crafted, though. She debated getting a blade of her own when they got out of this. She brushed the thoughts aside, noticing Shaya almost take the cloak off, then stop herself. "We are almost upon the stone, I take it?" she asked, shifting her grip again. "How are we going to dispel the energy?"

Kim jumped at the sound of Hunter's voice. Lionel put an arm around her shoulders. She took a deep breath, putting her hands to her chest. "Well... I am human. Just a cursed human. I... don't know if I'm mortal or not anymore..." Kim wrapped her arms around herself, "And... I don't hate you or anything. I just... Relationships aren't my thing. And I'm not really ready to change that."

Lionel nodded as Kim spoke, his expression relaxing a bit. Granted, he still was watching Hunter closely, but he didn't want to seem like he was over-reacting. He knew Kim hated it when he did that.
