Della let out another gasp of shock and looked to see if troy had been shot.

The shooter had missed. Troy broke his neck. He then went and hugged Della. "Are you ok?"

"i'm fine but the whole dinner saw you," she said.

Troy looked around, realizing his mistake. He shifted back to human form. "Oh, crap"

"now what" she whispered.

"I'll hide up in your apartment. When the cops come, just say it was an attack dog" Troy ran out of the diner and up to the apartment.

She lied to the police and they took the mans body away then she went upstairs.

Troy was waiting on the couch. "Did they buy it?"

"yeah," she said. "that was close," she said.

Morgan was frozen staring in shock, "D-daddy? what just happened?"

"i'm gonna go back down stairs and finish my shift k. come down when your ready," she siad then went down stairs. She noticed the group of three. "can i take your orders," she asked them.

Troy waited for a while. He went back down to the diner.

"Do you have burgers?" Morgan asked.

Troy came back down andkissed Della on the cheek. " I just wanted to apologize for earlier"

" yes we have burgers" she said with a smile to the little girl. She then smiled at troy to let him know it was no problem.

Troy took a candy cane from his pocket and handed it to the little girl. "Merry christmas, little one"

Troy went back to help in the kitchen.

"Thank you" Morgan called after Troy.

Troy looked back and gave her a smile.

Morgan smiled back at him.

Troy sent over a cup of hot cocoa, on the house.

Della began cooking the food and delivered everyone's order perfectly. She loved how many people were in her shop.

"Thank you" Morgan called to Troy again. She blew on the cocoa before sipping it, and took a bite of her burger.

Troy finished up and walked over to Morgan. "How about some pumpkin pie?"
