jonatahn sighed, then smiled "there's the finx i know and loive"

"You know nothing about me." Finx snapped.

Jonathan sighed, "yu don't know as much as you think you do about me either"

"I know enough about vampires to know to be carefull." Finx said and exited to her room before he could come up with a reply.

Jonathan shook his head with a sigh, looking at the picture of his daughter "are all teenagers like this?"

An hour later she reemerged in search of something to drink. "hey suckula." she said when she spotted jonathan "got something a human can drink?"

"suckula?" he asked, then pointed to the fridge, "there's soda, juice, even some of that iced stuff you americans call tea"

"I think it inventive." Finx said with a shrug taking the iced tea and sipping it like she expected it to explode.

"if you say so" jonathan sighed, he looked at the iced tea in her hand, "cold tea, only in this country would they have something so silly"

"Its good on a hot day who wants to drink something hot on a hot day?" Finx asked not really expecting an answer.

Jonathan shrugged, "we drank other things when it was hot, like lemonade" he doesn't mention the other thought in his head, that he drinks blood, which is hot.

"I drink lemonade but sometimes a cold cup of tea helps clear the head then sour tasting lemonade." Fiinx said with a shrug

Jonathan chuckled, "i've lived in america for two centuries give or take a decade but in some ways i'm still very much british"

"Don't get me wrong hot tea is great." Finx said god she thought I'm having a conversation with a vampire I must be dreaming or on something.

Jonathan smiled.

Megan stood in the doorway, her head tilted, "are you guys having a conversation about tea?"

Finx spun and had her hand in her pocket about to pull something out but stopped sort. "never surprise me." she snapped.

"hih" Megan mused, "rissa does that too"

"i'll wind up killing one of you yet." Finx mumbled chugging the last of the tea "i'm going back to the room you gave me."

"okay" jonathan said calmly, ignoring her comment about killing.

Finx walked to her room and flopped down on her bed the day had worn her out but she couldn't fall asleep this close to vampires lord knew what would happen. She sat up and pulled the weapons she had been making with the stuff she had found in the room and worked on them some more.

Finx managed to stay up all night and come downstairs yawning the next day.

Jonathan looked at her, "have you slept at all?"

"Whats it matter?" Finx said honstly curious as to why it mattered.

"because not sleeping isn't healthy for you" he answered, softly.
