Rissa sat down next to her, "so...how's life?"

"Going." Finx said with a grimace.

Rissa smiled wryly, "these days it seems like that itself makes you better off than a lot of people"

"I guess." Finx shrugged.

"so" said Rissa, "is there a reason you're sitting out here all alone in the middle of vampireland?"

"It's personal." Finx said staring at the people that passed

"okay" Rissa said complacently.

"You know I come out here for some quiet and I bump into two people will at least you I like." Finx sighed.

"you do?" Rissa asked.

"Yeah you don't pry and you seem to know something about what I'm going threw." Finx sighed.

"Who else did you bump into?" Rissa asked.

" Darius." Finx said with a scowl " I keep bumping into vampires for some reason." she thought of her parents and felt sick.

"Darius" Rissa said thoughtfully, "Jonathan's friend?That one's very...bitter"

" So I've gathered." Finx sighed " I cone out to do some thinking...turns out my parents were turned after all the bad things they said about vampires they let them selves get turned."

Rissa's mouth opened in surprise.

" I want to hate them." Finx buried her head in her hands " but how can I hate my parents...well I hate them but I can't hate my brother." she sobbed " Everything I believed in has been turned on its head and inside out."

rissa bit her lip, "Look I know you're a vampire hunter, but you shouldn't hate them just because they got turned into vampires. They're still your family"

Finx sobbed harder.

Rissa gingerly put her hand on Finx's shoulder.

Finx found herself wishing Jonathan was there.

Rissa bit her lip, not knowing what to say.

Jonathan woke up. After a minute he realized he couldn't hear finxs heartbeat and her scent was stale, he groaned to himself, "where has she gotten herself of to now?" He muttered.

Finx hiccupped softly and leaned against her.

Rissa gingerly put her arms around her.

Jonathan hurried out of the house, following finxs scent.

Finx hugged her back " Sorry." she said trying to stop crying.

"Its okay" Rissa said.
