Lindsey stood in the door way saying "How long have you been sitting here?"

"About 20 minute's.......saw how you saved that guy's life. I'm grateful, he's our only ticket out of this place "he said, then got up. He put his rifle on his back. "we're going to stay here awhile, but we can't stay bottled up forever. Eventually, those thing's are gonig to break in. I'm going to go about, fortifieing whatever I can, to prevent that from happening. "He said.

Lindsey looked at him and said "You watched that?", she paused for a money then said "He isn't our ticket out of here, if you listened to him the island is destroyed. Our only chance is the docks and we have a year to get there." She watched him then asked "Do you need any help?"

"With that horde outside, trying to leave from the ground is well out of option "He said to her. "Our best chance is flying, and he's our only pilot "He said. "Also, I might. Take a gun, and get to thinning the herd outside. I don't feel comfurtable with them clammering at our door's "he said.

Lindsey shook her head and said "A pilot with one arm, I don't think he is going to be able to pilot very well. I mean sure we saved his life but we should ask him for help before assuming that he will." She paused then said "I will stay in here and barracade you can go shoot if you want."

"Alright, if you insist. "He said, picking up his rifle, and heading outside.

Lindsey let him go the started to make the rounds to through the mall and added more stuff to the barracaded doors.

A Infected child was at the door's, screeching and hissing.

Lindsey saw the child and pulled out her gun and just shot the child in the head. She put extra barricading on the door and walked away. She didn't like shooting the kid but it was better that dead now as it wouldn't have to suffer though the infection.

The radio started buzzing again. "This is Echo 49 to HQ. Security check-points have been stationed all along Highway 65. Traffic has stopped, and the Zeds are being held back. "He said. If the military had one the check-points covered, then It might be a safe bet too get out of the city while they held the barricades.

Lindsey looked over at the radio and shook her head, she would have to talk to him when he returned about this.

Joseph returned 15 minutes later. "I've used 300 shouts, and I've killed about 284 zed. "He said to her.

Lindsey looked over at him when he came back then said "It might be time to leave."

"Why? whats going on?" he asked her.

She shrugged a little then said "From what I understand the government is trying their best but it isn't going to last long."

"Wait, back up. What are you talking about?"he asked, confused. He didn't even know what the plan was.

Lindsey rolled her eyes then pointed over to the radio saying "Interception, sounded like the government setting up check points.

Joseph walked over too the radio, and started listioning in. "Hmm......your right....."he said, then went to grab his gear. After grabbing it, he looked at her. "I have a Car waiting in the Parking lot. It's windows are made of missile-proof, so if the military tries too stop us, they won't have much luck. I also have a ram up. Not quality work, but it should push most things out of the way. "he said to her.

Lindsey looked over at him then said "What about the others? Are we just going to leave them here?" She stood up and looked over a few things before saying "We can have a convoy, with my truck and your car we can get most people out of here."

"that won't work. We'll have enough trouble getting through, without having too worry about others. Plus, The highway is going to be filled with debris, we need too take that into account. "He said. "From my time in the Military, I understand how Quarantine works. They'll try to contain the threat into the city, with shoot-to-kill orders. "He said. "We take a single car, we'll have enough speed to get through the chaos before they can mount a total assault on us, and we'll be small enough so they won't notice us until we're through the first 2 checkpoints. "he said.

Lindsey looked at him saying "So you would leave them here to die?"

"I'm saying that's the only chance we have. We can take with us two other people, other than that, the rest will have too remain here. "he said. "Plus, if I know the idiots in the military, once they lose control, they'll nuke the city. We leave now, or we will die. "He said.

Lindsey paused of a moment trying to take it in before saying "Then offer to take two children, they have more to live for then the adults do. They have their whole lives ahead of them. If we have to move that is what we are going to do."

"Agreed. They don't deserve this fate. "he said to her. He then went to get the car ready.

Lindsey stood and then talked to some of the people it was and easy decision on who to take seeing as there were only two children, but the adults were a little mad about the decision.
