Regan moved to peek out of the alleyway as Bell went on about Cade. The loss of a friend was still no excuse for anyone to let a newborn vampire loose on the world alone. They were too vulnerable, definitely too ignorant. It was also against their laws. As in every society, vampires had rules and regulations to follow.
Gwen stepped forward when Bell told her to, looking guilty all the while, hiding in the shadows while he drew in another victim. Her stomach turned when he started talking about the best way to drink blood, and the woman struggled. There was so much fear in her eyes! And yet the blood smelled so good .... like liquid chocolate almost. The closer she got, the more horribly fascinating it was. She leaned in close to Bell as he pointed things out, nodding every now and then to show that she understood.
"Do we have to kill them?" She didn't want to kill unless it was necessary ... Right now it felt like that. There was still a deep pit in her stomach, still waiting to be filled. She hadn't had enough.

Bell glared at her when she asked such a ridiculous question, he almost looked as if he were going to smack her. Instead he just growled and clenched his fists for a moment. "Of course we have to kill them. What kind of idiotic question is that? If we leave witnesses there'd be hunters knocking down our doors and they'd kill us just like they did to Red. Why the hell would you ever want to let any of them live?" He was seething, he was almost shouting. Barely controlled anger, barely controlled voice, he didn't need any humans peeking into the alley to see what any shouting might be about.
He grit his teeth and kicked the dead woman's body hard, bones broke and the body went tumbling further into the alley, then he got right in Gwen's face. "You are not human anymore, you have nothing in common with humans anymore, they would kill you instantly without a second thought, without mercy because in their eyes you are a monster now. A monster that deserves only death. Red wasn't a monster and they gunned him down without hesitation, he'd never willingly hurt any of them, but they couldn't see past the fact that he wasn't human. Humans have always and will always be more monstrous than we could ever hope to be. Sympathizing with them, wanting to keep them alive, it's only going to get you killed."
Anger and pain practically rolled off of Bell in waves. "I let Katerina live when she entered our castle, and now Red is dead because of that. That's what letting humans live gets you. Nothing but pain. They'll take everything away from us if given half a chance, even if we did nothing to them, they'd still hate us. Humans fear the things they don't understand and that fear makes them dangerous. We can't afford to let our victims live." He turned from her then, throwing his hands up in the air and moving to Regan.
"I can't teach an idiot fledgling anything." All the while, every movement he made was accentuated with that sound of jingling bells. He was exuding anger and frustration right now, but the sound of his jingle was more forlorn than angry. He hadn't wanted to say anything about Red, didn't want to think about that vargulf anymore, but he had and now he couldn't get the man out of his head. He reached out, gripping Regan's shoulder almost for support.
Talking about Red earlier to Regan had helped, but bringing Red up as an example for why humans could not live didn't help at all. It just made those earlier events replay in his mind. Maybe they should just go home, so Bell could dump Gwen in Cade's lap and force him to take responsibility. As if Bell could force an ancient to do anything.

The moment Red was mentioned, Gwen flinched. Her lips pressed together and she shook her head hard. She didn't want to remember! Didn't want to remember the hunters bursting into the clearing, guns at the ready, fully prepared to kill everyone in sight.
Regan wrapped a hand around Bell's wrist, and listened more to his bells then his voice. He sounded so sad, again. He smiled a bit. "She's an idiot because she's a fledgling." He glanced at Gwen, then turned back to Bell. He knew some humans were alright, but they were such a rarity ... Bell's hateful point of view made entirely too much sense.
"Alright, I don't know anything and I'm not human anymore, but I was, and I know I never would have hurt anyone from the castle. Not willingly. Not purposefully. Red ... Red knew that, I think. He was so nice ..." She missed him. She took in a breath, and sighed. Bell's bells , they had to be his, actually sounded different, not angry like his voice. They were more melancholy then that.

Bell looked at Regan. "Tch. She's an idiot, because she's refusing to use her brain." It was as simple as that, at least in Bell's mind. Then again, the transition from human to vampire had been easy for him. Far to easy, so he couldn't quite understand how it would be different, even difficult for someone else. He turned from Regan, towards Gwen almost instantly.
"You did hurt us, you tried to seduce Red from me with your innocent act." He snarled. It was very clear now, that Bell had been rather jealous of the small amount of time Red had been spending with Gwen. "Don't talk about him like you knew him. You didn't know him at all, he was naive and too trusting towards you." But it wasn't Gwen that had gotten Red killed, it was Bell. All because Bell let Katerina live.
Those things, did they even matter anymore? Bell wasn't sure. He shook his head hard, sending up a cacophony of noise as he tried to clear his thoughts. One day he might learn that shaking his head only made it harder to think. One day, though he hadn't seemed to learn that yet in his long life. That cacophony of noise still sounded more forlorn than angry, maybe even a bit lost, if the sounds of bells could sound lost.
"You need to forget about your human notions and human ideals. You're a vampire now, you'll need to start thinking like a vampire. We are predators, we are the hunters. Cold and calculating, our every movement must be precise and swift because that is the only way we'll survive." All that anger had drained out of him, and right now Bell just sounded a little tired. He wasn't physically tired, just mentally and emotionally exhausted.

Was that really what Bell had been thinking? Gwen sighed and stepped forward. She didn't even think about what she was doing, she just went and did it. The fledgling wrapped her arms around the older vampire. The words she might have said would probably only make things worse. This much at least might surprise him.
Regan watched the girl step in close to Bell. What she did next seemed stupid to him. She was recklessly getting close to Bell, so obviously easy to anger. And yet he didn't step in to stop her, only watched with arms crossed. The two did need to talk things out... especially if they intended on living in the same castle.

((Posting for Katerina becurrrz I'm bored at home.))
At some point, the cold hard stone floor became so uncomfortable on Katerina's human body, that it woke her from her unconsciousness turned slumber. She was on her side, and as she blinked her eyes open, she rolled onto her back. The cold floor on the bare parts of her back where her tank top didn't cover, only helped in waking her up. She frowned up into the dimly lit room at the ceiling. It was a very unfamiliar ceiling. Where was she?
Katerina groaned and pushed herself up, propped up and leaning on one hand, she used the other to feel her own forehead. Was she getting sick? She didn't feel right, and she was having horrible dreams about supernaturals, and dungeons. A sharp and sudden sting in her wrist caused her to look down at it quickly. The lighting wasn't so dim that she couldn't see the double puncture wound there. Dried blood caked around her wrist, and she wiped at it once, twice, and again harder and harder, almost panicked, until the wound was irritated and aching.
No. None of those things had happened. They were just bad dreams. A dull throbbing started in her head. Dark olive eyes blinked around at the room. It was familiar. She'd been brought here earlier, yesterday? When? She wouldn't know. Why? Either she couldn't remember, or she didn't know that either. Her breathing had picked up in pace again, and she pushed her long dark hair out of her face with one hand, up and over her head as she tried to pull her thoughts together.
Across the room, Katerina could see that the barred door was open. Her eyes widened in disbelief and relief. Someone had been careless. Maybe they'd thought she was dead. They. Cade. She remembered him being there. Maybe he thought she was dead. It didn't matter. She was wasting time. She pushed herself up and took a single step before the heavy chain weighed down on her leg and scraped across the floor. Her heart sank and she turned to blink down at it.
She remembered now. Katerina remembered all of it. Tears stung at her eyes. Why? Why was she down here like this!? She hadn't done anything wrong. She moved back to the center of the room where the chain was attached to the floor. She inspected it, and pulled at it. She tried unscrewing the screws that held the metal bits to the ground, but only succeeded in tearing up her fingernails. She moved as far away as she could, towards the door, that the chain would allow and tried to pull her foot from it.
With each pull and tug and yank, Katerina lost more of her cool. Eventually tears slipped down her cheeks and she sat on the stone floor. She gave the chain another tug, but her ankle stung. It was raw and bleeding and bruised now and the realization that she wasn't leaving this room began to sink in. She dropped her face into her hands and wept.

Nate was only a few feet down the stairs, stopped dead when a figure came fluttering up through the dark. Red eyed and slender. Cade, the old vampire. He blinked down at him, tilting his head at the other.
He made to take a step back, as if to make room for him to pass. But he stopped that when the other came completely into view. He seemed...off. Fuzzy and distant. drunk or high. One way or another, the small amount of fear that was bubbling in Nate's gut melted away.
A small smile split his lips, low and amused at the thought.
He nodded his head when the other acknowledge him, still smiling. He was still smiling when the man asked if he wanted a drink, licking his lips at the thought. "Yeah...sounds nice," he mumbled, moving aside to let the other pass and to lead the way.
When he had and when Nate was following, the injured man stopped, casting a glance backwards into the darkness. He wasn't done here. Not yet.
He sniffed before following, moving to the side of the dining room as they entered. In a few moments a glass was filled with a generous amount of amber alcohol, causing him to lick his lips as he accepted it, taking a sip immediately after the vampire's fingers left it.
He moved toward the table when food was offered, the man using his strange magic to heat one plate of the frigid food. Nate gave him a glance, an eyebrow raised as he mentioned 'perks'.
"Looks good," he mumbled taking a seat, placing his glass down next to the plate. He lifted a fork, spearing a small slice of meat and putting it in his mouth still hot. He chewed and swallowed, licking his lips. Like it wasn't hot at all.
"What's up with you," he finally asked, cating a glance toward the other man. "You seem...off." He reached out, grasping his glass and chasing down the food's flavor with a thick swallow.
((This was so much better but then I lost it all and I am very upset about that so I'm sorry about the quality....))

((It was great Cupcake! *slaps on the back* Lol your posts are always great. Don't be so hard on yourself!))
In his present state, Cade wouldn't even notice that Nate had paused in the tower. He wasn't even feeling for Nate's intent, and part of him didn't even care. Not right now. Sitting at the table, Cade took a drink of the liquor. It was pointless though. It wouldn't effect him. He enjoyed the taste though. He picked up a fork and poked at the still cold food in front of him lazily. He wouldn't eat any of it though.
He brought red glazed eyes up to Nate when the other spoke, and smiled. It was a rare thing, to see the ancient smile. Maybe it wouldn't be anymore. "What's up with you?" Cade tested. "You always seem off." He leaned back in the chair then, obviously not going to answer Nate's question. At least, not at this moment. He twirled the fork and flipped bits of food around. It was somewhat strange, but would be much more so to someone like Bell, who had known Cade for so long.

Nate took another bite as he glanced sideways at the vampire, never removing his vision for long. Drunk or not, an ancient was dangerous. Deadly. He watched as Cade poked and played at some cold food, intermittently drinking his own glass of alcohol. Nate absentmindedly lifted his own glass again, taking another swallow.
He stopped entirely when Cade threw his own question back at him, smiling in an almost playfuly way that was quite unlike the ancient vampire Nate had come to know. All two times he actually met him.
Nate sat there, glass close to his lips as he stared almost blankly at the crimson eyed man, watching him closely and yet not paying attention at all. Memories played in his head, dancing like fire. People dying, people screaming, autumn streets running with blood, blood on his hands and in his hair and---
He took in a sharp breath, eyes darting away from Cade and around. His hand was shaking, what was left of his alcohol sloshing around. He placed the glass back down with a clank, lifting his hand to wipe at his eyes (he was sweating his skin was so cold now), taking in breaths to calm his nerves and push the memories away.
After about a minute, he lifted his eyes, giving Cade a tired, almost sarcastic smile. "Trauma," he whispered, turning back to his plate and taking up his fork again, stabbing a chunk of meat before bringing it to his lips.

Even in this state, Cade was picking up on Nate's emotional changes. Though he wasn't feeling for them, and wasn't paying all that much attention. If Cade really needed to, he could reach inside Nate's mind, and view the traumatic memories for himself. But it could hurt the other, and it wasn't necessary, plus he didn't really care right now.
He merely watched Nate, detached from everything. At some point he'd stopped poking at the food and resigned to swishing the amber liquid around in his glass. It seemed everyone had some sort of trauma in their life, at some point or another. It was all about how one handled it. Cade's thoughts slipped to Bell. He should have been there for Bell to talk to. He should be hunting with Bell right now. He frowned, his emotions so visible on a face where they never were.
Cade pushed the buzz killing thoughts aside. Bell would be fine. Wouldn't he? Cade shouldn't care. Yet he did. He thought back on how he dealt with his own traumas. It was a bad reference. Well, "How do you deal with your traumas, Nathaniel?" Cade questioned, drawing out Nate's name, playing with it. He knew the other hadn't introduced himself as Nathaniel, but he wasn't thinking on that now.
Now, he was trying to figure out how to help Bell. From time to time, his eyes would grow distant again. In those moments, he was blissfully recalling her. Her movements, her delicate skin, that voice of dripping honey and the pull she always held over his heart. Mostly, he was recalling the feelings he had when they did this together. Cade hadn't wanted to do these things, not in the beginning. But in the end, it was all he wanted. And that was why.... was why....
When Cade pulled himself back into the conversation, he was back to pushing the thoughts of her away. They hurt. They always would. There wasn't anything he could do to ease this pain. Except, more...

Bell's body tensed instantly and he hissed dangerously at Gwen when she wrapped her arms around him. It had surprised him, and Bell did want to be held and he did want to be hugged, but not by Gwen. The only arms Bell wanted around him were Cade's. Because the ancient's arms made him feel safe, protected, and secure, but Cade was distant, ignoring him. Sending him away. Bell's hiss turned to a snarl, then a growl.
"Get off." Bell sounded angry of course. He was always angry, it was the easiest emotion to express and it generally kept annoying creatures away from him. Usually. His first thought had been to bite her, but she was Cade's fledgling, so harming her was out of the question since Bell didn't know how the ancient might react. Besides, it would be a sign of disrespect to Cade.
He grit his teeth and attempted to shove her off of him, he sent a glare Regan's way for just standing there and not helping.

Regan watched the girl's grip tighten. She was ticking to Bell like an annoying burr. The redhead smiled a bit. It was hard not to, seeing how Bell wanted anything but her doing exactly what she was doing. "Stubborn, isn't she?"
Gwen relented when she felt strong hands curling over her shoulders and pulling her back. The redhead tugged her away, and patted he shoulder before leaving her alone. Bell always confused her. He hated humans so much, and he always sounded so darn angry, but now ... Well now his bells kept giving his real emotions away. She wanted to be his friend.
Regan spoke up. "Shouldn't we be going back to the castle now? Unless you two want to grab another snack."

Nate chewed and drank, grumbling in frustration when he realized he was out of alcohol. That was disappointing. He really needed it now. He could feel the buzzing in his head growing slightly, agitation causing his fingers to twitch and curl in his sling.
Then he heard his name. His full name. The soft noises filling his ears and bringing up memories of an angry old woman and sunflowers.
"Nate," he hissed, casting the vampire a sharp glare. "It's Nate..."
He made almost to take another swig, stopping and slamming the glass down in frustration when he remembered it was empty. He stood, moving across the room in an attempt to find the bottle that had the rest of it.
Flies buzzed and darted on his skin (where they came from he couldn't pinpoint they were always just there when you looked back), some hovering over the cold plates of food, their buzzing quiet, yet loud enough for Nate to be aware, to hear them. He felt like some were crawling under his skin.

Cade was still very detached from the conversation. He didn't flinch or react at all when Nate slammed his glass down, and didn't acknowledge that the other wanted to simply be called Nate. It didn't matter to him either way. Finally, he leaned forward with one elbow on the table and his cheek rested against his fist, looking bored, though that wasn't the case.
"Third shelf on the bottom," he said lazily, referring to the bottle that Nate was searching for. There were a lot of different bottles in there actually, and they all looked very old. Cade wouldn't care if Nate picked something different, and he wouldn't care if the other helped himself to the bottles at any time during his stay here. At least, not at this moment.
Glassy hazed eyes blinked sluggishly. "What's with the flies?" he asked with slight curiosity in his voice. He'd kill them all again if they bothered him. Though, nothing really seemed to bother him right now.

Bell's body relaxed once Gwen had been pulled off of him, but he took a few steps backwards. Backing away from her. "Don't you ever do that again, or I will rip out your throat." It was a vicious threat, though it would be impossible to tell if Bell was serious or not. He seemed serious, he seemed unafraid of whatever consequences he might suffer at Cade's hands for harming his fledgling.
He visibly flinched when Regan mentioned going back to the castle. Up until that point the thought of not going back hadn't even crossed his mind, but it enveloped his mind rather suddenly now and he shook his head, the sound of bells from it seemed to match the mood that Bell was showing now. The look in his eyes, the look on his face, he looked lost. So very lost. "There's nothing for me there anymore. I don't think I'll go back, you two should run along. I'm sure Cade is far more worried about the whereabouts of his fledgling than he is about me." That seemed likely.
Cade hadn't wanted him around, that was apparent. Shutting himself off completely, though Bell wasn't entirely sure why. It had something to do with the woman in Cade's past, but there had to be a lot more to it than that. Perhaps Cade blamed Bell for what had happened in the woods. It had been his fault after all. He grit his teeth and clenched his fists. "I have no reason to go back."

Far away, off in the distance, the castle seemed more like a fortress then any kind of home. Buildings like that were made for battle, for conflict and war. It suited Cade perfectly; it seemed that way to Gwen. Shutting people out, well it had to be an easy feat living in a place like that. The castle owner seemed to be the same as his home.
Gwen ignored Bell's warning, and stepped forward again. She didn't reach out to hug him again, like she wanted to. Instead she touched his arm. "Bell ... I don't think Red would have wanted you to be alone. I know I didn't know him all that well, but he was so devoted to you. He was always talking about what a good person you are."
Regan waited for the opportunity to speak, and took it when an opening presented itself. "I'm going back." He turned on his heel and started jogging away. He could feel eyes on him, and turned to catch Gwen staring at his back. Regan smirked, and set off at a faster pace, leaving the village behind with ease.

He stepped back when she stepped forward, almost expecting her to try and hug him again, his body already tense. She didn't though, and he relaxed. She was talking about things she didn't know anything about though, but Bell didn't get angry. He was too exhausted emotionally to even hide behind his anger. Instead, he simply sounded defeated, even his shoulders had slumped some. "There's nothing in that castle for me anymore. I thought Cade was my friend, but he's turned his back on me. Shut me out, he wouldn't even say a single word to me about Red. Maybe he blames me, he'd be right too. It was my fault, it was all my fault!" Bell took another step back from her and turned so that his back was to her.
His hands moved to his face, rubbing at his eyes hard, he would not cry. Not in front of a girl, not in front of a newly turned vampire. It was bad enough he had broken down earlier in front of Regan, someone who was still practically stranger. Someone who had abandoned him to deal with this fledgeling on his own. "I let Katerina live, when I should have killed her the moment she set foot in our home. I knew better. Humans can't be trusted. They can't even be trusted by their own kind, so how could we ever hope to trust any of them?" Bell lowered his hands from his face, shoving them deep into the pockets of his pants. He kept his back to Gwen, but he wasn't crying. It was so hard, but he was holding those tears back.

Gwen listened. She tilted her head from one side to the other, and wrapped her hands together. The sound of bells ... Tinkling softly with every movement of Bell's, oh how he must have hated that! But now everything was silent as death, save for the vampire's voice.
"It wasn't your fault." So many things had happened. If the night hadn't played out just as it had, then things would have been completely different. "You had no way of knowing what was going to happen." She couldn't speak for Cade, but she could try and bring some sense to the situation. She could lend an ear, and listen... Even if she was confused, and lost.

It would have been nice if he could believe her words when she said it wasn't his fault. He knew it was. "No. She told those she knew where we were, it's what any human would have done. I know something like that could happen, probably would happen. Humans can never be trusted, I will never make that mistake again." He turned towards her then, glancing up at the sky for a moment and heaving a rather dramatic, defeated and largely unnecessary sigh.
"C'mon, I'd better walk you home." Bell was done talking about that stuff. He would go back to the castle, only because he didn't think the fledgling should be left to wander there on her own. She might get lost or something. Anything could happen, so Bell would take her back, but he was done talking about Red or Cade. He moved past her, heading out of the alley and in the direction of the castle. Bell didn't even look to see if she followed, he assumed she would.
"Well, now you know why I go by the name Bell. You can hear it now, can't you? That annoying sound that goes wherever I go." He grimaced lightly. "Tch. It's so annoying. Be glad you haven't had to live a few hundred years followed by that sound. Red always liked it though, I'll never understand why." Well, there went that notion of being done talking about Red. Bell grimaced again and pressed his lips together tightly, making them into a thin line as he fell silent.

The scent of death lingered in her nose long after they had left the alley behind. She concentrated on the sound of bells, and waled as near the older vampire as she could. Gwen decided not to talk about guilt, blame, or anything like that. No, instead she latched onto the topic of Bell's bells. The chiming cheered her mood, but probably contributed to his ever angry disposition.
"I didn't know it was coming from you, at first ..." She glanced at him, shyly. "Really, I think the sounds are nice. Soothing, even." Sometimes, when Bell wasn't furious, when he wasn't yelling at her. To think, all it had taken for him to listen to her, or at least stop mistreating her so, was being turned into one of the near immortal undead.

Nate wasn't very gentle with checking the shelves and cupboards, doors slammed shut with each failed search. He didn't care what the other thought of it, how he felt about seeing his property abused like this. All Nate cared about now was alcohol and filling up the burning hole in him, silencing the constant buzz in his head.
He froze and cast a glance back when the vampire spoke, glancing downwards toward the indicated shelf and crouching down. There were bottles in there, more than he had expected. Though the revelation was not unwelcome.
He grabbed the first one he could find whose color was close to what he had moments before, pulling the cap off as he stood, closing the cupboard door with a soft kick. He didn't bother with his glass, instead lifting the bottle to his lips and swinging it back for a thick swallow.
It flowed down like molten honey, pooling and heating his stomach with a pleasant hum. He swirled the bottle before looking back toward Cade. Asking about the flies.
He hummed slightly, his nerves already soothed by the hum and heat of powerful alcohol. His eyes lowered, eyeing one of the flies wandering slowly over his skin, lazily searching and rubbing its little hands together.
"I don't shower much," he muttered, taking another swig. A lie. Blatant. Almost there to test the murky waters of the man's awareness. See if he could catch it.
"What's with the sudden high?" he shot back, moving back toward the table, pouring more alcohol into his glass. He held the bottle toward Cade's glass, offering a refill.

Cade blinked lazily at Nate and cocked an eyebrow, though it wasn't as pronounced as it should have been. "Did you not just shower?" Cade questioned dismissively. Cade knew he had. Nate had been with that, Regan. The one who seemed somehow familiar to Cade. It was strange, the feeling. He wanted to talk to Regan later. Hopefully the vampire was planning to return. And Bell? He pushed the thoughts of Bell aside. That purple haired vampire was complicating things for Cade.
He picked up the fork again and twirled it lazily for a moment, before effortlessly stabbing a fly. Even in this state, Cade could be dangerous. The difference now being that his decision making ability was greatly hindered. Red glassy eyes moved back to Nate when he questioned his state. Cade wasn't a liar, and he wouldn't deny that he was not currently up to par. "Trauma," he replied with a smirk. Though it wasn't exactly true. Losing her hadn't been traumatizing. They'd both known it would happen sooner or later. Cade shrugged after that. "What makes you think it's so sudden?" Cade questioned, waving his hand at the offer of more drink in his glass.
Nate had started coming around his castle while Cade was gone. He had been home quite a short amount of time, and for all Nate knew, this was normal for Cade. It wasn't. Not anymore. Not for a long time now. But Cade liked it. He relished this feeling. He could still feel his feelings and not have to hurt so much. Perhaps this is what Bell needed. No, the other would never agree to such a thing. Would he?
He reached out with his power to feel for Bell again. He must have been far away. The next village probably. Cade winced inwardly. He was really messing up right now, but in this state, it was just too damn hard to care too much. And he liked that.

"Soothing?" It was clear Bell did not agree with that sentiment at all. "Whatever, we should run. Can you keep up?" Though if she couldn't, all she'd really need to do is follow the sound of his bells. The vampire grimaced slightly, shrugging his shoulders a bit. He started running, before she could even answer his question, but he started at an easy pace. One she could easily match and once he was confident in her ability to evenly match his pace, he would speed up. He was both eager and reluctant to return to that castle.
It seemed apparent to him that Cade didn't want him around, but maybe he should try again. It was clear that the ancient was also going through some things, some thing that had to do with a human woman from the past. Red's death seemed to have triggered something, or brought up some painful memories for Cade. Maybe the ancient just didn't know how to handle his feelings. Bell wasn't even sure it mattered anymore, he had some words for Cade and then he would probably leave the castle, depending on how things went.

Regan had lingered in the castle entrance for long enough. The delicate faced man wandered back towards the kitchen. There were already two people there. Cade, looking drunk, and Nate. Well ,that was an odd combination if he ever saw one.
The redhead stepped loudly, shuffling his feet to announce his presence. He took a seat between the unlikely pair, and eyed the glasses. Amber liquid shone inside like rays of a fallen sun. They were drinking together?
She liked Bell's bells. It was obvious he didn't. Gwen shrugged and set off after the vampire. Now and then she'd stumble a bit, unused to the whole being undead thing. Things popped up out of nowhere, too fast for her to see! But as they ran, it became easier, and she managed to stay close enough to Bell that she could actually see him, without needing to hear his bells to find him. It was a rather huge improvement.

Nate shrugged before moving the bottle away, setting it on the table before sitting. He didn't acknowledge the comment about his shower, acting as if it had never been said at all. He would prefer not to talk about the flies. Not right now. He took his fork back up and continued to eat.
Instead he looked to Cade, swallowing another mouthful of food before dropping it on the now empty plate. "I don't know. It just...." he started, licking his lips and looking away, "...doesn't seem right."
The spot on his eye leaked a bit, the pale color seeping into his veins as it spread just a bit more.
He turned as he heard a step at entrance, blinking at Regan and smiling as the other came inside. He grabbed the bottle when the other sat, lifting it to his eye level. "Ya want some?" he asked, ignoring the fly that crawled across the glass before buzzing off.
