Isabella felt a delicate pair of feet on her shoulders. Her instincts told her to move her neck to see who was upon her shoulder, but Isabella ignores her instincts. Instead, she decides to not look and let the person's appearance to her remain a mystery due to her slight fatigue.
"As much as I want to see who is upon my shoulders, I don't want to," she thought to herself.
Then she heard the being upon her shoulders say five unexpected words to her. "Why, hello there, pretty little fly,." The blonde felt both gratified and insulted, but decided to be mostly gratified, since it was rare for anyone to compliment her.
"Why hello and thank-"
Isabella wanted to thank the person upon her shoulders that complimented her face to face, but as she turns her head slightly, the being shocked her bit. She did not expect the to be...well slightly adorable yet dangerous. Her alluring cotton candy hair with ruby enchanting eyes along with her pale skin. The blonde's eyes were wide in stupefaction, but then her eyes lowered because of the realization that hit her.
"This is a place where all magical creatures are. Why am I so surprise and why did I let it show? How selfish it is to think that there were only fairies."
Isabella slowly turns her head, now facing the door. Her hands begin to form into fists and she knocks on her noggin.
"Bête! Stupid!"
Isabella stops her actions of committing violence on herself and turns her neck enough to where she can see the being on her shoulders. Her face shows no emotions, but her words that follow show sincerity and humility.
"Sorry, about how appalled my face was when I saw you. It was selfish of me to think that there was more to humans, fairies, and vampires. I haven't been out much around the world, so there is still more for me to learn. Please don't think I am underestimate you either. I sense that you are a strong being considering the fact that you are controlling the wind. I do not feel all of your weight upon my shoulder."

When the girl had first set her eyes upon Vepar her eyes had widened before quickly lowering again. The demon felt a slow smile creep across her face at the aborted words and the glance that had been torn away in shock. She suppressed the urge to hum in interest at those actions, the smile enough of an outlet.
'Something tells me this little hummingbird doesn't know what I am. Or what demon even is.'
Her smile grew a little larger.
'This could be fun.'
When the fairy spoke again it seemed as though she was yelling at herself, speaking a word in a language other than english that Vepar did not feel like translating. She had deigned to learn english when she had realized she was trapped on earth, and had cursory knowledge of the other mortal languages -- if she wished she could know them all. But sitting down to learn every human tongue was devastatingly boring to her, and she had barely finished english before deciding that was the only one she needed to be fluent in.
Vepar resisted lifting her leg up and away when the creature hit her own head, but she did raise a delicate eyebrow. Of all reactions she was not expecting that one, though to be fair this was an unusual case to begin with. She would have assumed that at least some of these peculiar beings would have at least heard of demons, or of their appearance or, well, of their simple existence in the human realm. Obviously either this one was terribly sheltered, horribly ignorant, or the knowledge was not well known. This, though, she might be able to use to her advantage.
The demon did let out a pleased grin once the fairy had finished speaking for what was now the third time, though it was the first that she had managed to string together a few sentences. It was more than nice to know that, while the girl had no idea who or what she was, her power was definitely recognized.
'Though if I were in my true form I would be more powerful...'
The thought was bitter in her head.
"My, you're a perceptive one, aren't you? There is no offense taken, little fly."
As Vepar spoke she let herself gently float to the ground beside the girl before dispelling the breeze with a little more flair than she typically did. It felt good to be admired again, though it was only a passing comment.
"You can call me Vee."
Though she felt pleased by the compliment of her power the demon was far from stupid. Names held power, particularly those of demons. If she were to freely give her true name to every person she spoke to she would be under their control. The fact that she was summoned at all to the human realm was a large surprise for her as she thought her name had been lost to obscurity -- and in a way it had, for while the human performing the ritual managed to bring her to him, he had no control over her.
Plus he had botched her true form. Tampering with her body was high on her list of annoyances, so the man was quickly dispatched. Or, well, perhaps not very quickly...
She held out her hand to the girl, wondering what her reaction would be. Such a naive fairy that likely never once stepped out of her glade -- oh she would be fun indeed.

Bell stood there for a while longer, then he sighed. He could always just leave this place, there was nothing really tethering him other than the fact it was comfortable. He had a very good set up going here. He moved, stepping away from the tree, and grimaced as the sound of tinkling bells followed him. Followed his every movement. His hands were already nearly healed from the damage done to them, though the damage to the tree was worse. That poor tree, it's trunk was scared now from the beating Bell had given it.
The vampire shook his head and sighed, it was time to go look for his errant werewolf. Red should have been back and though Bell didn't want to admit it, he was beginning to worry for the simple creature. Light foot steps carried him around the side of the castle, he paused once. Halfway to the front to listen. Voices, and new scents. Bell grimaced once again, at least they weren't human. With a sigh the vampire began moving again, surely the tinkling bell sound of his movements would alert the two of his approach before he ever came around the corner.
When Bell did come around the corner, there was a look of perfect, pure annoyance on his face, and his arms were crossed across his chest. A demon and a fairy. Great, as if there wasn't enough turmoil in his castle already. "Either of you seen a tall man, long red hair? He smells like a wolf and he's late."

With a twist of her shoulders Gewn wrapped her arms around the redhead to hide her laughter. It just wouldn't do for Red to see her amusement at the situation. And he'd sounded so sorry too. The young woman leaned back and slid off the werewolf's lap. She took a moment to fix her t-shirt before leaning down and holding out her hand.
"Alright, Red. I'll stop pestering you about the castle. Though, why don't I walk with you part way there, since we're already out here?" She smiled. "I'd like to hear a bit more about you, if that's alright." The young woman glanced at her bike quickly. The wheels were just fine. There wasn't a dent on the frame, and the headlight was still firmly attached. It was still good for trundling around.

Vepar's ear twitched slightly as she caught the faint twinkle of bells on the wind, the sound steadily growing louder until whatever was causing the slightly annoying noise rounded the corner. What intrigued her was the sound of footsteps that accompanied them, each press on the ground light and soft, too graceful for a clunky-footed human. Excitement gnawed at her as she turned to look over her shoulder, the fairy-girl momentarily forgotten, though she left her hand outstretched.
The first thing she noticed was that he had extraordinarily purple hair fringed with what she assumed was either yellow or his natural hair colour of blond. His pale skin popped out to her next, a stark contrast against his hair. A marking graced his skin, crawling down the left side of his face.
What caused her to pause, though, was not only did she notice the ugly expression he was expressing, but the rather callous way he had spoken to her. As if she were a pest, an unfortunately necessary being that one needed information from. Like she was a common crossroads demon.
The wind picked up a bit around them, a bit of a harsher breeze whipping around. Oh how she would like to put this bloodsucking parasite in his place, to teach him what the words respect were. She wanted to so badly she could feel it hum in her bones, in the tips of her delicate fingers.
But she couldn't, not if she wanted to have fun with him later, and in her current state any punishment she doled out wouldn't have the desired impact. Besides, Vepar currently looked as if she were prepubescent -- there was no way she would be able to instil the proper amount of fear.
So instead she smiled brightly.
"I'm afraid I've not seen such a man, Tinklebell. Perhaps he is still where you last left him?"

Isabella was going to shake Vee's hand until a sound disrupted her actions. Ringing bells graced her ears. The sound faint until it got more apparent to her. Her eyes gazed at the source of ringing and she smirked slightly. The source of the ringing came from a vampire with a unique sense of style and appearance. As much as the blonde wanted to laugh at the vampire's predicament, she could not. For one, it was rude because she is pretty sure he did not ask to have such a noise attached to him. For two, what if he laughs at her torn wing. The smirk that was once apparent on Isabella face was wiped clean. Instead, there was a more indifferent expression that transpired on her face. When he asked where a wolf, Isabella noticed his body language and look. She raised and unquestionable brow and her half wing even fluttered a bit.
"I have not seen a wolf, but I do not mind helping you find your wolf," she said calmly.
As she finished her sentence, she remembered Vee's hand being held out to her. Gradually, she gave Vee a firm handshake and introduced herself.
"Since I do not like my real name, I prefer you to call me Izzy since my real name does not suit me much."
Isabella sounded like a name for a beautiful feminine creature with high standards in social graces and what not to the blonde. Honestly, she knows she pretty, but she also knows that she's not too feminine considering the clothes she is currently wearing. After finishing thinking about her name, she forms a fist and knocks her head again. To anyone curious why, she thought it was rude to not ask for the being's name. She gradually turns her attention towards the male and forms a half-smile.
"And what is your name?"

Bell eyed the demon for a few moments, as if assessing her. He had grimaced when she called him 'Tinklebell' but otherwise just let the comment fall away. It wasn't worth getting angry over, it did make him a bit more annoyed though. He was even more annoyed that neither of them had passed Red on their way here. Bell frowned deeply, his brow creasing a bit. The fairy offered to help, that was nice of her, he didn't really need any help though. Then the fair was introducing herself. He didn't have time for this, he needed to find Red. Well, he probably did have time for this, but Red had been gone far too long, it had him almost antsy. What if something bad had happened to the werewolf?
"Bell. Just call me Bell." He started moving again, then stopped and looked at the two of them. "Why are you two loitering around my front door?" He had an idea of why, they had probably come to stay here. Of course they had. It's usually what non humans wanted when they came here. "Tch." He should start charging rent, though he didn't really need money. Payment didn't always have to be in the form of money though, it could be other things as well. Bell wasn't sure what these other things could be yet, maybe he'd think more on it later.
Red was frowning slightly and Gwen had wrapped her arms around him. She was laughing at him, but for the most part Red didn't care. All that mattered really was keeping her from the castle. Then she was slipping off his lap and holding a hand out to him. He took her offered hand and stood, shaking his head slightly. She was still trying to get close to that castle. This girl was tricksy. The vargulf did need to get back though, Bell would come looking for him and was probably already worried out of his mind. Also, Red was missing Bell, and was also worried for the vampire. Red didn't like being out of Bell's sight for long periods of time. It was impossible to protect the vampire if he wasn't nearby and sometimes Bell needed a lot of protecting.
"...Fine." He didn't seem to pleased about taking her any closer to the castle. He wasn't, but he also didn't want to waste more time arguing about it. He would just have to explain things properly to Bell later, because Red had this feeling that Gwen would be snooping around that castle later. The vargulf didn't want Bell to eat her.

She moved away to grab her bike. It settled against the ground, ready to be pushed along the path. Gwen started walking, her eyes aimed straight ahead for a glimpse of the mysterious, forbidden, castle. "I ... wasn't laughing at you, you know. Just the situation. That's all." Was that why he'd been so suddenly curt with her? Or was it because she'd wrangled her way closer to the castle? It was so hard to tell what was going on in Red's mind. He was an odd one, definitely.

'I should have known that this fairy was a good-two-shoes. A fairy is a fairy is a fairy, after all.'
Vepar had to resist rolling her eyes at the winged girl next to her. She, as so far, was playing the role of the nice, horned little creature that meant nobody any harm. Though that didn't mean she couldn't poke a little fun, sometimes.
"Nice to meetcha, Izzy."
So the fairy either truly hated her name or knew to be wary about giving out ones real name. Maybe there was more to this little fly than she originally thought.
When the bloodsucker looked at her she held his gaze, unblinking and unwavering. The little grimace he had made at her nickname for him gave her a sense of victory -- it seems that even these creatures could be annoyed. However it seemed as though all it would take to set this one off would be a simple poke, a bit of a nudge, and then pop! Fireworks abound. She wondered when she should attempt lighting his, what appeared to be very short, fuse.
The man stated his name -- Bell, of all things -- and she let out a laugh. A vampire named bell that, when he walked, made the sound of bells. Suddenly her nickname for him got entirely more appropriate. A self-pleased grin settled on her face. Bell inquired as to why the two of them were outside his door. His. That was what she picked up on. So this monster of a castle was his home? Vepar was impressed, this man had taste at least.
Bell seemed annoyed, though it seemed more like he was annoyed about the fact he couldn't find his animal-scented friend. There was an undercurrent of agitation about themselves, though he didn't act on it, not a cutting word spoken. She liked to think it was because he had a misplaced sense of chivalry, but knew that the likelihood of that being the case was low. A girl could dream, anyway. So long as the boy did nothing to truly insult her all would be well and her "cover" wouldn't be blown.
'Though I wonder how long I'll have to play nice,' she thought.
"I'm just here for some lovely company."
At her words Vepar moved forward and gently tapped her finger on the vampires nose before retreating back to her fairy friend. This was too much fun.

Isabella heightened her left blonde eyebrow at the vampire. How could he allege her of loitering? The blonde cleared her throat and crossed her arms.
"When I was travelling her to the castle, I did not see a wolf when I arrived. As for the loitering, I did no such thing Bell. I actually knocked on the door and was patiently waiting for a response," she said in a matter of fact tone.
A meager pout developed on the fairy's face. Then a noise that can best be describe as a creaky door resonated in the atmosphere. A sigh escaped from the fairy's mouth as the fatigue slowly started coming back to her.
"I'm starting to think the faster we find the werewolf the faster I can get answers," she thought.
The fairy untied her bag that was strapped to her belt. Then she used the ribbon to tie her hair up in a high ponytail exposing her medium sized ears that were pointy. Afterwards, she grabbed a half handful of fairy dust with her right hand and sprinkled it on herself.
"This should keep me going for a while," she muttered.
The dust allowed her skin to have a golden glow and the mud that was once on her face was no longer as it dissipated in the air. Her wings were no longer droopy and begin to seem lively. Gradually, the blonde begins to lift in the air and float.
"Let's find your wolf, since it will speed things up about what I have to discuss with you," she said seriously.
"I have to remember that this lasts for an hour and I only have 9 half handfuls of dust left."

Bell arched an eyebrow at the demon for a moment, his nose twitching slightly when she tapped it. "Of course you are." Lovely company? He didn't really believe her, but at least she had given him an answer. The vampire rolled his eyes at the fairy, looking extremely annoyed at her as she spoke of helping him find Red instead of actually telling him what she was doing hanging around his front door. "The faster you answer my question, the faster I can get answers, wash my hands of you and go find my pet." He shook his head, sending a cacophony of bell sounds in the air. "I didn't ask for your help, I don't need your help. The only thing that will speed things up, is you actually telling me the reason why you're loitering in front of my castle." At least the demon had given him a reason.
He looked at the demon again. "You can go in if you want, maybe even help me with a pest problem. There's two humans in there. You are more than welcome to eat them." He really did want those humans out of his castle. His attention returned to the fairy, and he eyed her with an expectant but very impatient and annoyed expression.
Red inhaled deeply, glancing at Gwen. Not really sure what to say, though even if he did know what to say he probably wouldn't know how to say it properly. Articulating with words was too difficult, that hadn't been a lie. The trespassing part and going to jail bit he had told her was. Bell wouldn't send her to jail, he'd just drain all of her blood the way vampires do. Red was frowning. Even just coming halfway there, once they parted ways, there was no guarantee that Gwen wouldn't try to sneak onto the property or sneak inside the castle. Red was pouting a bit, he'd hate for Bell to kill his new friend, even though they'd only just met. She did seem very nice.

She nearly gave in to the urge to giggle when the vampire called her out on her reason for being in front of his door. It was almost the truth, enough so that it couldn't be entirely a lie and yet revealed only little of her real motive. So far this bloodsucker was the most amusing one she met, though her little fairy friend would definitely be able to serve as entertainment. So naive. And, apparently, extremely kind-hearted as well.
Vepar watched as the girl reached into a bag attached to her hip, carefully hung on her belt, and pull out a small yet gleaming handful of what could only be fairy dust. The demon stared as it was sprinkled over the fly's frame and delicate wings, the transformation of an old brand of magic taking hold. Izzy's body seemed to glow with it, and it was almost as if every cell was rejuvenated.
She felt her eyes widen minutely. It had been a while since she had seen the old fae magic, and though this was barely a taste of what the girl's kind could do it was still rather impressive.
'Would it work on myself?' she wondered, eyeing the bag that held the glowing dust. Vepar had to manipulate the winds in order to fly, something that -- while she made it look easy -- was rather hard to accomplish without being buffeted around like a buffoon.
'With the dust I would be able to fly with no troubles at all. It's possible, if I were able to bring some back home with me, that one of the demon sorcerers that handle physical magic might be able to reproduce it...'
Oh she was feeling giddy. If she could recreate it, oh the things she could do...
Bell spoke once again, this time directing his words at her fairy friend. In fact, he seemed rather annoyed. Not that he wasn't before, it was only that this time he allowed it to seep through into his mannerisms and speech. Vepar resisted the urge to smile as the man got a little frustrated with Izzy. As rude as he was being it was not directed towards herself and as such she took great pleasure in watching as he refused her help.
'Pitting these two against each other might be entertaining,' she thought, rocking her weight onto her heels.
She remained silent throughout their exchange, but when Tinklebell spoke to herself she paid attention. Vepar gave him a sly grin when he said she was free to enter his home, and it grew slightly when he spoke about pests. Though she was loathe to admit it she knew that her pupils had dilated when the bloodsucker said that she had explicit permission from him to eat the humans within. It wasn't necessary that she feed regularly, nor was it necessary that she feed on humans, but let it not be said that sometimes creatures eat for pleasure rather than for physical hunger.
The demoness pretended to, what the humans called, curtsey once Bell had finished speaking. It was a slightly mocking gesture, though that may have been due to its slightly awkward execution. The movement held no meaning back in the hellpits and Vepar had never needed to perform the action before. Many humans had done it before her, though, so she supposed that it was a sign of respect. Not that she respected Bell.
Or, well, not that much.
"Much obliged, Tinklebell."
Here she pushed open the door, fingers pushing roughly against it. The smile had yet to leave her face as she stepped inside and before she closed the door she called to the two outside.
"Luck to the both of you -- and Bell, I make no promises about the humans."
A quick wink and she was letting the door fall closed.

His head was pounding, his mouth was dry, and his ears had been ringing for the last few minutes. Oh...that and his vision was swimming. Nate didn't know what had happened but all he knew now was that the floor was coming dangerously close to giving him a peck on the cheek and his feet were doing very little to keep that reality from actually happening.
This was two parts frustrating and distantly amusing.
He had moved away from the small gathering, physically slurring down the hallway and half sliding half stepping down a stairwell. He was done with this place for today. He'd come back later maybe. Time to head on back to that box in that village.
Box being a generous term.
He wouldn't complain too much. Much better than that too-big-on-the-inside house of horrors he lived in back in Farefield. Just the thought of that place sent unpleasant waves down his spine.
The only thing that stopped his fumbling walking was the sound of voices and the click of a door. The voice in question was one he didn't recognize. He could barely make out the words really, just a jumbled mess of sound filtering through the ringing of his ears.
Which meant they were probably in the next room over. Which meant they had come in through the front door. Maybe. He couldn't think right now but all he knew was that there was a door and a person nearby. If that door was a hallway door well then screw this place and its labyrinthine floor plan.

When Rose seemed too lost in thought to respond, and Nate had wandered off, Katerina retrieved her notebook from the floor. With her pencil still in hand, she had some notes to make. "I'll be in the library," she said to the pair still standing there. Did the other man there call this place his home, too? Katerina wondered how many others lived here as she made her way down the hall.
She found the library on the first floor easily. The two giant double doors couldn't be mistaken. She pulled one of them open, and slipped inside. Olive green eyes stared widely at the enormity of it. It was three tall stories high, and there were books on every single inch of wall. Pillars kept the floors up and a big beautiful fireplace sat across from the doors, surrounded by plush furniture.
The marble floors were beautiful, and the windows, while huge, had beautiful drapes over them keeping the majority of the light out. The dark haired girl wasted no time crossing her legs into a plush chair beside the fire and flipping her notebook open. She began her notes on vampires, particularly the purple haired one. She would then make notes on the others. She pushed her black rimmed glasses up on her nose whenever they would slide down, and lost herself in thought.

When the door closed Vepar let the smile slip easily from her face, turning around to face the interior of the castle. There were a few decorating choices that she would have made different to what were presented to her -- the front entrance to her own abode was filled with severed heads hung from the ceiling, the lighting kept rather dim. It was all about making an intimidating first impression, after all. Her own private rooms were, of course, more fitting to her personal tastes, filled with pools of water and crammed full of books, along with a few spikes here and there.
She took a few steps further and was deciding which was to proceed when she heard harsh and laboured breathing in the room next over. If she didn't know any better she would have suspected they were injured but she smelled no blood.
'Perhaps it's one of the creatures woken up recently from their bed, or one startled by an unknown presence. Can they sense me?'
Suddenly she felt giddy. Were there more here than the ones she had met just outside -- an entire castle full of them? A collection of monsters ripe for her to play with however she wished? Oh how she hoped this were the case.
Vepar took light steps, hers ears twitching slightly as she followed the sound to another doorway. Inside she was met with a rather impressive set of stares and a rather... Well, a rather unkempt human. Or, at least, she thought he was human. He had a sense about him that was odd to her, something not quite right -- in fact, it almost reminded her of home, but that was impossible. She would have known if there was another demon here, and this man was definitely not a demon.
He had obscenely greasy hair that was far too long for a human his age, in her own opinion, and seemed terribly weak and distracted. Vepar curled her nose in disgust; this had to be one of the least-impressive men she had encountered so far. No wonder Bell had referred to it as a pest, as it certainly seemed to be one.

Nate didn't hear the other person approach, didn't even know they knew he was there. In fact he was still making his way clumsily and shakily down the hallway. He only stopped when the other breached the threshold at the other side, the confused man stopping dead.
His head shot up, blinking rapidly as his eyes attempted to focus on what they were seeing. His swimming vision was helping none of this but whoever was at the end of the hallway...was not really a someone.
It was disgusting. Through the fuzzy, underwater like waver of his eyesight he saw a cloud of...mayflies? Whatever they were they were a buzzing mess, suspended in what appeared to be a cloud of blood, a vaguely humanoid shape beneath the roiling mess, tall and thin and hard to look at. It stained the air red around it. Horns, curled and sharp and tipped in deadly points curled out of that mass of buzzing insects and sticky, wet blood-mist.
A terrible feeling filled his stomach. One he had not felt in a very long time. Though, really, the time between had not been long enough.
He blinked again. It was gone. Instead was a small, delicate looking creature. A child maybe. Could've passed for one. If the horns weren't there. They weren't as sharp or as dangerous as he had thought they were, just bone curling against a skull covered in thick hair.
His ragged breath became a huff of frustration, face twisting and lip curling as he shook his head. There was was no mist of bloody flies. Just some strange little girl with the horns of a ram. One who seemed to be staring at him in...was that disgust?
His frustrated twist became a tired droop, staring back at her with a quirked eyebrow. "What's the matter?" he huffed, voice low and almost sarcastic. "Do I have something on my face?"
((I'm not sure what Vepar's true form even looks like so I tried to go with something nondescript enough that I didn't feel presumptuous. If anything take it as Nate getting a small feeling/warning-from-himself for Vee's demonic nature and it manifesting in a way he's familiar with; hallucinations, blood, and buzzing insects. Also I chose mayflies because they tend to hang out around water and are just generally very creepy looking.))

Usagi had continued his look around the place, leaving others to their own buisiness for now. No need to force himself where he was not needed for the moment. He continued down to the first floor, where a set of doors were open. Looking inside, he noted books, and the scent of a fireplace along the air. So, this was a library. Usagi had always had a passion for books, for knowledge. He loved to relax with a good story when he was not busy with working, or with dealing with messes like this. He stepped inside, scanning the shelves closest to him for the moment as he went.
Many names, some in other languages, lined the shelves. a light smile formed upon his lips. He supposed he had just found one of his favorite rooms in this place. He placed a hand on an old book, slipping it out from the shelf. "Les Démons Dans" he said, reading the title, "The Demons Within..." It was in French, not a problem for him. He opened the book, flipping through the pages as he turned. It was then that he caught the presence of another. He had let his love of books distract him for a moment that he had let his guard down. His eyes moved to the female who had no doubt heard or seen him by now. He felt a bit foolish, closing the book in his hand.
"Forgive me" he gave a light bow, "I did not realize this place was occupied, I did not mean to intrude.. I shall leave you be." With that he turned, placing the book back where he had found it. He would take a better look at it later, for now, he did not wish to cause more confrentation. He had recognized the woman as the one the vampires had been fighting over before. It would be unwise for him to stay to long around her, while Bell seemed so furious about her presence here. It might have caused him more trouble with his own business.

She lanced at the red head beside her now and again. The path leading up to the castle stretched out before them both, a winding thing leading away from the village and deeper into the trees. The forest was so alien to her, so strange. She was used to seeing birches by pines, mingling together. This place had leaves, and only that with no needled greenery.
Gwen sighed. "This forest is so weird. I just can't get used to the fact that there aren't any pine trees around." She glanced at Red again. "Have you always lived here, in the castle?"

It wasn't until someone spoke, that Katerina looked up from her notebook. It was that man from the hall. Was he talking to himself? He'd closed the book in his hand and excused himself. "No, no," she said, shaking her head. "You don't need to go. I think this library is big enough for the two of us," she said with a friendly smile. "And the rest of the village," she added as an afterthought.
Olive green eyes watched him for a moment. "Do you live here?" she asked curiously. By all means, if he did, it was she who was intruding more than he would be. Even though she'd been invited to stay, Katerina was having a hard time feeling very welcome past Rose.

Vepar raised a delicate eyebrow as the odd man seemed to pale considerably in a short amount of time. In fact, once his eyes had set upon her he looked as though he was about to expel the contents of his stomachs horrible and violently -- but it passed nearly as soon as it had began, and within seconds the man returned to his rather weak state. His breathing had grown more ragged than before, but the demoness clearly heard the frustration in the louder-than-normal exhalation.
She watched as his face curled up into a rather odd expression, taking note of how his skin moved, before the facial muscles relaxed into a tired slump, one eyebrow quirked. It was nearly a mirror of her own expression, except the man's seemed to hold more of a 'Now what' feeling than a 'what a dirty creature' one. Her ears twitched again as he spoke.
The hairs stood on the back of her neck as he addressed her in such a nonchalant way. Not even a greeting, no offer of his name, just a low and nearly mocking drawl of words.
"You are in desperate need of a shower," Vepar said haughtily, eyes narrowing. If she could get her hands on a water source she would douse this man herself, only it would be a bath that the man wouldn't leave alive.
This human rubbed her the wrong way -- there was something... different about him in a way she couldn't place, and coupled along with his slightly disrespectful attitude he definitely wasn't getting on her good side any time soon.
'Humans. No sense of decorum, I swear.'

Nate's shoulders jerked roughly as he laughed, the sound tired and ragged as he lifted a hand to rub at his eyes, an amused smile splitting his face. He stared at her for a second longer than he should have when he lowered it, focusing on her for a moment. Making sure now that his vision was clear.
Not a monster. Just a child. Though the differences between the two were debatable.
"Yeah," he muttered, nodding with that same smile on his face, "I get that a lot." He stood still for a few moments, allowing his heart (beating so fast this little girl scared the shit out of him) to finally settle down and reach a bearable pace.
He watched her for a few moments, not sure if getting closer would really be a smart idea. She put him off a bit, anxiety filling him practically to the brim. Of course it was most likely just him riding the aftershocks of that strange hallucination, but it was still a factor. She was unsettling and obviously not human. Who knew what the horned monstrosity had up her sleeve?
"So...you live here? Never seen you around before..." he said, looking her over. "Or maybe I have. Either way I should get going. Going to go home, pass out, maybe get drunk. Nice meeting you kid."
He started making his way back down the hall, intent on maybe skirting around her. As long as he didn't touch her. Something deep in his gut told him it would be smart to limit physical contact to a very, very distant idea. The anxiety that had come with her presence only aggravated the closer he got.

This time her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, though she only let the emotion sit on her face fleetingly. She was merely stating the obvious, it was no cause to start laughing. Vepar watched as the human rubbed at his eyes with a tired and yet still amused expression gracing his features.
She did let a smirk cross her face when it was made known to her that she was not the first one to tell this human that he was horrendously filthy. Frequently enough that apparently it has become some sort of a joke to him, a constant reminder. Something to find amusement in.
'Humans are so odd,' she thought, watching the human watch her.
He composed himself faster than she was expecting, heart rate back down to a relatively normal level -- for a human, anyway. Every creature she had come across had a different speed of heartbeat. Demons themselves had varying rates as well, depending on what kind they were. Vepar had a slower one and someone had started the rumour that it was because she was coldblooded. Another had said that it was because she had lost so much of her own lifeblood in failed battles that there was barely any for her heart to pump around.
The mastermind behind that one learned what happens when one slanders her.
Vepar bristled when the man called her kid, shoulders tensing.
'Though I may look like a child I am far from it, human.'
"I do not in fact live here. I was allowed to enter by the master of the house -- I am but a guest."
As the man walked towards her she bumped his foot with a quick burst of wind, catching it as he moved it forward. She didn't take kindly to being addressed so nonchalantly by such a lowly, odd, dirty, and out-of-place human. A simple trick like this as the absolute least she could do, and it probably wouldn't even end up with him hurt. It would still be funny to see his reaction, though.
Oh how she missed home, with her loyal subjects. At least they knew how to respect her.
((oops, i completely forgot to respond to your ooc it's no problem, don't worry! I always pictured Vepar as a creepy mermaid, and the horns would be an awesome edition ))

He paused as she spoke, turning his attention back to the female speaking to him. His eyes for a moment lingered on her, before he chose to speak. "No, I am here as a guest...as you are" he turned his frame to fully face her now, "I am here on business." He gave a slight smile to her, before he decided it would be best to give his name. "My name is Usagi Ryouichi, but you may just call me Usagi" he gave another warm and charming smile, as he inclined his head slightly in greeting to the female before him. He wondered what her purpose for being here was, it seemed to be causing quite a stir indeed. He noted the notebook within her hands, curious as to what she was writing exactly.
He kept this curiosity to himself for now however, it was not his place to pry, nor was it polite. If she desired to speak about it, she could bring it up. If not, it was nothing of importance for the moment. His shadow connected with the one on the shelves, sliding through the shadows unseen, over towards hers. It could read a lot more information from her that way. It was not painful, she might feel a chill as the two shadows connected, but for now his own was merely weaving its way through the connected shadows of the room, creeping ever closer to hers.

Nate was close, skirting to the side of the hallway to give himself enough space to be comfortable when he did slip past her. He kept his eyes on her the whole time.
Except when they were on the floor. It seemed that the floor had wanted to give him a kiss and he found himself face down after a slip (or was it a tug he could have swore he felt something brush his foot), a fall, and a sickening crack. When he managed to push himself up, the wet heat of his face started to slick past his lips.
It took him longer than necessary to realize that slick wetness was his blood, pouring over his mouth and onto his shirt and splattering to the floor in thick droplets. He groaned, half in pain and half in frustration, lifting a hand to cup his face and keep the flow back a bit.
"Great," he slurred, voice nasally and wet. "Real great..." His breath was as wet as his voice, ratting with each intake as he breathed thickly through his mouth. It was at this time that he realized how close he actually was to her, sanguine droplets centimeters from dripping onto her tiny feet.
He was still for that second, moving to scoot back slightly. He didn't want to get any on her. Though he might have failed in that. He didn't really take the time to check. He was too busy leaning back, swinging his body so that his face was leaning upward to help stem the flow of blood out of his face.
He couldn't tell if it was broken, but it didn't feel like it. Nothing seemed angled oddly or skewed out of place. Just tender and swelling. There was a bristle of agitation up his spine, mingling with confusion and the pain in his face.
Something in him hissed and spat, curling up settling like a cold rock.
((Oh well I'm glad you're alright with it! Also glad that I seem to have inadvertently added to it! Also that ooc happened at 3 in the morning when I have a bad habit of babbling and feeling like I have to explain every single decision I make because I should have been in bed like 5 hours ago and my mental faculties are just a teeeeeeny bit compromised.))

The fairy blinks her eyes twice in awe because of the vampire.
"Hmm, I guess he did not hear me. I told him I was knocking on the door," she thought to herself.
"Since you did not hear me clearly nor do I like to repeat myself, I will tell you after we find your pet," she says slightly annoyed "And I know you do not need my help. You are a strong capable being. I just wanted to tag along and help."
Isabella pats his back and begins to float towards forest. As she uses the road as her guide, she begins to hear faint noises up ahead. It seems as if there was a person talking to another. Slowly, Isabella stops floating and decides to walk instead. Her skin still glimmering as if the sun kissed all over her body. When Isabella started walking closer, the last words she heard was "castle". Isabella stops and taps her chin and tries to analyze the voice to see if there was any distinction between. She is able to distinguish if someone was human or not, through looks, but no so much through voice. Isabella believes that it is a unique technique and she wishes she could be able to so.
"One day I would like to be able to do that" she thinks to herself.
Since Isabella would rather be safe than sorry, she turns invisible to conceal her identity to the beings up ahead.
