Like all the others in this area of Menewsha, I'm looking for a fulfilling role-play. I admittedly am not the best at handling forum-based RP, but I'll give it my every effort to continue if you will.
Before we get going, I'll introduce myself more properly:
My name is Ise (which is my main account, this is my mule). I love all things to do with vampires, art and music. I'm 21 and a senior at Pratt, major being illustration. Writing is my hobby, role-playing a bit of an obsession for inspiration and relaxation.
That said, please continue on down and see if you'd like to RP with me, ne?

And we come to the rules, the shit we all hate but know there needs to be for order. I know there seems to be a lot of them, but bear in mind it's all really under 2 main things: decent literacy and common courtesy as a person.
+ Literacy is your friend. No, really. I don't ask a ton, check below.
- Format, for the love of pie! Seriously, it's not that hard and if you forget just open a bleepin' book! Separate paragraphs for different character actions, quotation (" ") marks for speech and all that jazz. Do not denote actions with asterisks (*) please or I'll cry and run away!
- Spelling and grammar are not evil. Yeah, we all make some typos here and there, no big. If you have a major issue with it, there's always typing it out in Word with the spell check, no? I'm not going to go correcting you or anything, but it is appreciated that more than half a sentence is readable.
- One liners are rarely appropriate. In the instance of conversation, ok you can very easily have a one liner, but add another paragraph or something. I will never give you one liners alone, so please give me something back to react on and I'll do the same.
+ Common bloody courtesy applies! What's this entail? Read below or I'll get cranky.
- If you PM/IM me about the RP, for the sake of my bloody sanity, don't do it if you know you don't have the ability to pop in fairly frequently to post! That just gets hopes up that there will be a new partner, not to mention it leaves potential for anyone you happen to interact with to be left hanging and unable to continue! You can let me know you're interested and a time frame. And don't expect me to get back to you, if you're interested, please follow up otherwise I'll think you just didn't really care.
-Don't give me the "BRB" and then be gone or idle for over an hour. BRB = Be Right Back, not Be Back LATER. It's really rude, at least give people a time frame so they can go do something else and come back to meet up with you at an appropriate time, even if it means waiting to post the next day after you. I understand that for some it will be a post a day or even a week and for others a daily playtime for an hour or two.
- Similarly to above, don't just randomly go idle or not respond to your partner(s) for over half an hour, either without letting them know you have to go. If something has come up or you just aren't interested anymore, then please say so. People have lives and other things may be more interesting, you're not really going to offend anyone. Common courtesy, please!

Time Period: Modern to post modern
Placement: A city of our choice
||SYNOPSIS|| Outwardly, the world finds itself as it has always been: a tense mask of calm over chaos. Day or night, the city that has never known sleep continues on its same path and rule of thumb in all its glorious decadence. It has sustained damage and gone through periods of reconstruction and so called enlightenment with the arts. But no amount of beautifying the public space will ever erase the darkness inhabiting within.
By night the myths of parents used to scare their children to sleep at night continue to roam as they always have. Vampires have over the ages been able to easily integrate themselves into the human populace and made a comfortable and leisurely place at the top of the food chain of night society.
Some continue to delude themselves in the comfortable fantasy that there are no such creatures, others are well aware and break into their various factions, be it in acceptance or in hatred. There have always been wars, there will always be wars. After all, there shall never cease to be indignation and outrage to a species that must survive by sucking the very life from others. And so there continue these secret plots of extermination by hunters, slayers, assassins and bounty hunters. But who is to say there are no thoughts of domination of the "lower" species?
There are always shades of gray between the black and white, my friends. Some are more willing to coexist in attempts for that visionary harmony. It is not impossible to see a sort of parasitic existence between vampires and humans. Some vampires mayhaps will not kill, taking little bits from various people who make the offer - others perhaps take it as simply a free drink instead of a hunt. There are some humans are willing to be donors for whatever reason they may have. Perhaps they fantasize, some may find it pleasurable and some may even seek a way to worm into vampiric society. There are benefits all around, and who is to say what relationships may be had?

For this RP, I don't see it as the best idea in the world to be allowing ten different kinds of vampires loose. In the recent months a partner of mine has interested me in the World of Darkness, aka the Vampire: the Masquerade world of vampires.
Rather than me explaining every nitpicky little detail, I'm just going to give you all the White Wolf and Wikipedia links to the details for you to read over. But suffice to say, it is a very dark world, often full of unpleasantness. Some concepts have been tweaked slightly and adapted to suit the RP, these are the general guidelines.
White Wolf (creators of the game): Please refer to this in terms of the Clans. You may choose among the Camarilla, the Sabbot or the Independent. These will outline the general idea of them and the types of individuals within.
http://www.white-wolf.com/Games/Pages/VampireHome.html
Wikipedia: Please refer to these links in terms of what you may have as abilities/disciplines as a vampire.
http://wiki.white-wolf.com/worldofda...he_Masquerade)
||Humans|| Well, suffice to say you've got your choices on what to do, but they are fairly limited if you choose this role. Humanity is blissfully ignorant of the workings of the real world and the fact that most every aspect of their lives are in some way or form governed by vampires.
Oblivious: You can be the average Joe, so to speak, and not know a thing going on.
Silenced: Meaning you are aware of the vampiric world and its goings on, but you are not specifically tied by blood to a vampire. You are the sort that is considered an underling in a way. Typically this includes higher positions - hospital staff members, corporations and the like. You hold some sway in the social and economic world. Sometimes this will include being a Ghoul, someone who has partaken of a small amount of vampiric blood and gains some of the strength and speed but is not among the Embraced.
Donor: You are bound by blood to a vampire. Within every twenty-four hours you must feel the bite of a vampire to sate the addiction left by his/her saliva in your system. If you do not, you will go through a horrible withdraw and you will die. Some donors simply are on good terms with their owners and are free to do as they please so long as they return to feed their owner. Others are kept on hand and living in the same quarters. It all depends on the relationship between vampire and donor.

Username: Ise/Yokiko
Character Name: Yokiko
Nicknames: Yoki, Kiko
Apparent Age: 21
Race: human (Either starting as a donor or to become one)
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 135 lbs
Eyes: Slim, slightly slanted almond shape, silver
Hair: To the back of her knees. Raven black with a red-violet sheen, slightly tight waves that at times end in curls.
Physique: Tall and willowy, some even describe her as being somewhat of a waif. She's all lean muscle and pure tone with as little fat on her as is healthy.
Personality: Yoki wears the wall of masks that life demands. Every situation requires a different face of emotion that somehow often seem to change mostly in her eyes. She's generally very quiet and withdrawn, but can often have a very cynical attitude. Dancing and singing tend to make her really come alive and make her the happiest.
Passions:
Dancing - of any sort. She will rise to any challenge you give her to learn and well. She'd dance on a broken foot with no regret.
Violin - she's also a skilled violinist. Many a time its notes are the sound of her tears in the middle of the day when she cannot sleep. She's been enamoured with it since the first day she heard someone playing when she was a child.
Reading - When she's not been working wherever she is, dancing or singing something, Yoki often tends to be found curled in whatever spot she can find with a book. The topics can range from anything like Philosophy to poison.

You're free to use whatever bio format you'd like. Some people prefer not to give out as much information on their character(s) and let them unfold. As for where, you may post it here or PM it to me. I don't mind either way. If things really pick up I'll make an OOC thread for this sort of thing, but I'm not sure how many will be interested at this point.

USERNAME: Edana Little Flame
Character Name: Falcon
Appearance:
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Race: Donor
General Personality: He is very kind and out going. he has a passion for dark things that would scare most other people. He often gets into trouble. He also has a passion for music which is his escape when his master over steps his limit.
Defining traits/abilities: His love for Vampires and things of the dark has caused him to become a donor for them.
Other things/ notes: he has many scares along his body from his donations. they didn't have to be like this but he asked his master to make them visible because being a donor makes him proud.
If it is ok to have two characters then I would also like to have this one:
USERNAME:
Character Name: Xanthe
Appearance:
Gender: male
Age: 23
Race: Vampire
General Personality: He is very old fashion and is the proper gentleman. Though he can get angered quickly.
Defining traits/abilities: He is Falcons master. His reformed behavior is what made him seek out a male donor instead of a female one. He could not bare the thought of defiling the skin of a female.
Other things/ notes: He enjoys being a vampire but still holds a bit of envy toward the humans, for he longs to feel emotions as they do.

Playing more than one character is perfectly acceptable and encouraged if you'd like to. ^^ They both look good. Seeing Falcon's profile reminded me that I forgot to mention Yoki will either start as a donor or become one later. Thank you.

Judging by the images of your characters (I've added one of my sketches of Yoki in a thumbnail, by the way ^^), I'd guess it's safe to assume they would not be strangers to clubs and raves? If so I can kick it off and we can start while waiting for others to join.

(I do really long, wall of text intros, hope I don't scare anyone off, lol. This should set the mood for the city and the club, interior and all, for those who come in.)
The night was as mundanely calm as any might be for such a large city. To be sure it was loud in the aspect of any other - cars rushing by, cats dropping down on tin garbage cans, change rattling in some form of container as a homeless person shook it, shamelessly begging for more. But having lived there all her life, the myriad of noises were more like a dull sound to the young woman's ears. Even the loud sirens from a nearby street were but a droning murmur. Everything seemed quiet and she heard the breeze shifting the sparse decoration of trees down the street more than anything else.
She had passed through the areas of supreme tagging, her booted feet carrying her past more than one vagrant teenager with a a can of spray paint and the intent to prove his or her own existence in that at times tacky manner that really just said, "I was here." There was a mutual understanding and neither parties interrupted the other. The night continued on as it always did.
The girl was rather tall for her gender, likely around five feet eleven inches with a body fashion designers would delight over simply from genetics and a metabolism that turned her stomach into a veritable black hole that demanded satiation every hour or two lest it turn and gnaw on her from the inside out. Dark raven waves were pinned back into a ponytail but for bangs slanted from left to the right drifting along the curve of a face delicate in features and pale of complexion in sharp contrast. The red beading on the clip matched the color of the corset she wore under a cropped jacket, low-rise black jeans and a pair of gloves to keep her fingers warm in the autumn chill. Topping it all off were various bits and bobs of gothic jewelry and the collar around her throat, something which only a handful who came to the club would recognize for its significance.
She fit right in as she opened a back door to a brick building that looked as dingy as any of the rest, heading inside to a surprisingly clean establishment. Her steps, which clipped slightly on the black and white checkered floors, carried her past the bathrooms and the kitchen and she wound her way around the corner into the large space that was her working place: Eclipse.
The small nightclub was relatively new and still in the underground scene, putting a classic spin on its interiors with rather comfortable high backed chairs and velvet covered benches with strategically placed plexiglass covered tables situated before them. There were at least three bars, two smaller ones in the opposite diagnol corners of the room as well as the central one with its rack of glasses hung suspended by sturdy chains several feet above where the bartenders did their work. Everything was comfortably lit in shades of neon green, burgundy and magentas that faded into violet along the walls.
It was Saturday night, and despite the chill outside, the air was thick and warm within the thundering walls of the nightclub that had been picking up in popularity the past several months. Eclipse was at its prime on the weekend and there were people eagerly awaiting entry, not even bothering to complain at standing and shivering outside in the brisk October air.
Music was blaring inside and people were milling and wandering, having to shout to be heard over the song that one of the many live bands was pushing out out. Heads were nodding in the back over the thumping beats and some were up closer to the stage and the near howl of the vocalist. A decent amount were swaying and gyrating on the wooden floor at the front, some up on the podiums and a fair amount of others at various places around the space.
A large amount were obviously swarming around the bars, in particular the central one. On one side, Dale was hard pressed to meet the demands, whirling about to grab bottles and ice or reaching above to the rack that hung suspended from the ceiling for a clean glass. Between the calls of customers and the orders of the waitresses who consistently made their rounds, bringing more slips before hurrying to put dirty glasses in the kitchen to be washed, the cute and flirtatious young bartender was wracking up some good tips.
The bartenders at the other two smaller bars, lit with neon behind them, were just as busy. One was situated to the right of the dance floor, almost across from the DJ booth and in front of one of the two hidden sets of stairs to the second floor. The other was in the back on the left on the second floor, just a tiny turn when one went up the main staircase. To the right of it was another small dance floor where a regular was twisting and dancing with two glow sticks on a long string. To those on the first floor he produced a great light show, although induced by a fair dose of Ecstacy.
Those who weren't dancing or at the bars wandered about talking sat at the booths lit with black lights or played pool in the back. No one seemed to mind the dense air of smoke or booze. Then again, it was easy enough to forget about five minutes of being inside.
As she was slipping between people with the usual faint but polite excuse me and pardon me's, the young woman had to snort slightly at the various antics on the stage where her eyes had been judgementally staring. The band wasn't bad but they were rather raw and raucus in her opinion. Then again, who was she to talk? Her own vocals probably weren't the strongest in the world. Perhaps she was just having a moment of vanity, but she couldn't help but think that she and the boys did much better to wrack up the crowds on the nights that she actually went up to sing.

I had a question though, would it be too much of a pain if I wanted to run a character with the idea of them maybe starting human, but possibly later becoming an Donor/Silenced or a Vampire? <:/ Hopefully in the least MarySue/GaryStu fashion possible. The White Wolf system just interested me in some ways because of its difference and because of some things that I've been reading lately. I figured it couldn't hurt to give its general outline a shot here.
And yes, you're more than welcome to start as a human and moving into the other realms. That's a whole part of the vampiric culture, after all. ^^

((Sorry for disappearing last night my computer crashed and I could not get it to restart.
Oh my god it followed me again! Yes we do have the same taste, in almost everything! It is quite scary actually.))
Xanthe walked down the street with Falcon in toll. They where headed to a the club that Xanthe frequented. Tonight would be Falcons first night there.
"Wow, I can't believe you are letting me go this time." He claimed through chattering teeth. He was half frozen to death and most likely would have been completely frozen if not for the vampire blood that ran through his veins. "I have always wanted to go to a place like this." He admitted to Xanthe.
Xanthe was not at all amused at the boys ranting, "Stop that annoying chattering this instant boy!" Xanthe hollered back at him, "If you just would have brought a damn like a sane person then you would not have to worry about it. It bloody October for crying out loud!"
Falcon laughed, "I'm fine, just a little cold is all! Plus I don't like to where long sleeve things it hides my donor scares."
Xanthe made a face but refused to comment any further on the subject. He knew Falcon was obsessed with his scars.
Falcon had choose to where a short sleeve tight black shirt with a Pair of zipped off bondage paints adorn in silver hanging chains all about them. He wore a collar that had a loop in the middle as if waiting for a leash to be put on it, Which Xanthe was very tempted to do. He also Wore two spiked bracelets around each wrist and ankle. His eyebrow was pierced and he wore a spiked half ring in it his earrings matched it, Though this was usually covered by his medium length dirty blond hair, which came to a little below his chin but still did above his shoulders. He had a lean body but not exactly muscular, he stands about average height for a nineteen year old.
Xanthe took the smarter rout and wore a long white jacket lined in silver over his outfit. Underneath he wore a black fishnet top tight across his upper body his pants were black leather adorn with a black silver studded belt that hung low more as a decoration then actual support. The pants faired out as they went down his legs and at the bottom the had straps, two going across each leg also adorn with with silver studs. He wore a Black choker with silver spikes around it around his neck. His arms bore the same spiked bracelets as Falcons did. His ears where pure and had never been pierced. His hair was white as the first snow fall and hung past his shoulders, This was in complete contrast to his eyes which were a bright red that resembled the color of freshly spilled blood.
They reached the entrance to the club and made there way inside. Once inside Xanthe turned to Falcon, "You may go on your own way, but do not let anyone else touch you. Is this clear?" He yelled over the music.
Falcon nodded his head in response and grinned before disappearing into the crowd formed in front of the stage. Like anyone would try to touch me anyway! he thought, I'm clearly marked as someones donor!
Xanthe turned and took a seat on an empty couch.

((Yeah. We have our own rp together as well. We're so much alike we creep some people out. We know each other irl if you haven't noticed yet. Well here's my girl. The sad thing is that out of all the RPs I'm in she is my first whole vampire. ))
Username:Master Wild Mage
Character name:Keiyi
Appearance: KeiyiPale skin and light features with eyes that are always red. It can be very unnerving and most will not look her in the eye for more than a few moments. She can easily be described as having a natural dancer's body. When she isn't in her dancing tights she can be found in what would be considered gothic garb but she doesn't consider herself a goth just dark.
Gender: Female
Age: 16yrs
Race:Vampire of the Gangrel clan in the Camarilla
General Personality:Keiyi can be considered a typical teenager. She is normally fun loving and loves to joke around and flirt shamelessly. There are times when she can be very emotional as well. Beware if you really piss her off though since she can be very violent when the time is right. One of her favorite past times is dancing. She has been compared to a charmed snake while in a dance induced trance. While doing everyday things Keiyi often makes every movement look like a graceful dance as well. She will often cuddle with others when she's feeling particularly lonely. It falls into her being very flirtatious.
Traits/abilities:Though in her clan it isn't exactly unusual though as a whole it is rare, she has the ability to turn into a white wolf with red eyes.
I think that's all. I may add a picture of her wolf later.

Character Name: Erik "Red" Martel
Appearance: (no picture) An man of average height, and a somewhat impish, maybe even childish demeanor, "Red" Martel doesn't get his nickname from his hair, which is an unruly light ash, but from his eyes. Technically a shade of brown, they have an somewhat burgundy cast that makes them fall toward the red spectrum. ((I've actually seen someone with eyes like this, an no, it wasn't contacts. They were just 'lucky' I guess?)) Red tends to wear an odd collection of T-shirts, usually from particularly obscure bands, under a denim or leather jacket, depending on the weather. Although he enjoys his share of the club crowd, he fits very poorly into most club attire, which wears on him like a child wears an bad costume, though fortunate for his taste in entertainment, he looks young for his age.
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Race: Human, currently Oblivious (Hoping to see this change over the rp, at least the oblivious part.)
General Personality: Although almost thirty, Red hasn't quite given up yet on being 'young at heart', He likes to be around people, and likes to party, or at the very least, watch other people party, and uses his hard to gauge age to fit in more broadly.
His day job is nothing much more than a desk job, fighting with spreadsheets and reports, and mostly tedium, though he jokingly refers to his need to pay the bills as his personal 'fight for the right to party'."
Hope this is ok. [email protected]))

((I wasn't thinking about it at the time but that makes three characters with red eyes...XD Two literal, one in the same spectrum. Heh!))
Nights like this, he sometimes wished he smoked. Somehow it sort of fit some strange little mental image he'd come to associate with the bad habit, standing outside in the chill and smoking, though maybe it was just because he kept expecting to see his breath when he was chilly, and if he didn't, some sulkish child in him was sharply disappointed.
Compared to some of the others, he didn't exactly fit the scene. His shaggy blonde hair was pulled back into a tight, short tuft of pony tail, though a fair bit of it was short enough to escape anyway, and the collar of his no frills black leather jacket was turned up against the cold. Maybe if he'd gotten the one with the spikes and chains...but no. He had to wear the thing to work too, and these coats weren't exactly cheap. It was one thing if you were at home and could beg one for Christmas, another on a budget with your own place.
He had added a few bracelets to his wrists, one several 'nuggets' of silver on a pair of leather cords, the other a more clubbish large leather band with studs, though his pants were nothing more exotic than jeans, and his t-shirt under the jacket had no curse words or beer slogans, just a stylized picture of an green edged black dog with burning green eyes. The slogan under it's feet read "Black Shuck Lives"
He grinned slightly as he made his way into the bar,a little apology, a little challenge.
"Damn, this place sure is jumping!" he commented, to no one in particular as looked around, half consciously nodding to the heavy beat of the music. "Damn this is going to be a great night." He promised himself, grinning impishly and looking for the best route to the bar. A drink would be a great way to start this off...then maybe some dancing.

((Ok lets see if I can write a book too. I'm not too sure though since I don't really know how I want to start at all. >.< ))
Keiyi stared at the gathering crowd of the club. It wasn't unusual for it to get so large that there would be little room to even a vampire to make their a way across the dance floor. She stood on one of the small side stages that were often reserved for the paid entertainers or were paid for by regulars. The manager never minded her taking it up when she decided to make it worth their while and it was a drained night when she wasn't able to do so. Chains flung through the air from her pants as she moved with the beat of the music. She became oblivious to the things around her as her mind became focused on nothing else. Her snow white hair seemed to move like a curtain in the breeze contrasting with the black of her clothes with only the red accents that matched the color of her bewitching eyes that closed as she fell into the rhythm of the dance.

Falcon was swaying to the music when he happened to turn his head to what should have been an empty stage. He had no Idea why he was so perswayed to look, but god was he glad he did.
Falcon was hypmatized by the dance of the girl he pushed his way threw the crowd toward the stage occasionally losing sight of the girl. when he broke from the crowd he stood in front of the stage like a awestruck fan staring at the poor girl.

((I'm having a very hard time remembering which of your characters is which since Xanthe I know is the cute kid and Falcon just seems so much more menacing. >.< It doesn't match up.))
Keiyi continued her dance. Some of her movements would seem erotic to the mind of the more innocent minded. She was a firm believer in the fact that if you didn't want to see all you had to do was turn away. It wasn't long after she began that she could feel the gaze of another staring at her. It wasn't uncommon since she was always doing moves that the normal person had never been trained to do as she had. It didn't take long for the boring gaze to get a bit unnerving. She hadn't been weaving a trance on purpose this time so why would someone so devotedly stare at only her. Keiyi slowed her dance to look down at the crowd where she knew she would find her captive audience. "Enjoying the show?" she remarked lightly to the young boy before her. The scars on his arms showed him as taken but surely just speaking to the boy would do no harm.
