Elysse watched the boy leave and waited a few minutes after he was out of sight before getting back down out of the tree and continuing on her way to nowhere in particular. "That was close..." she muttered, even though it really wasn't. He didn't seem to really have any clue that she had been there.

Edward gave Iaa a strange look before she left. He honestly had no clue what she was talking about. Why would Destiny like me? he wondered, and then shook his head. Iaa may be a girl, but she's also not human. I wonder how correct her 'woman's intuition' is about humans... He dismissed the thought and then went to report to the leader. He told him about the arrival of more aliens and then left to find Destiny. Even if she didn't like him, and he didn't know what he'd do about it if she did, he still felt that he had to at least try to make up for yelling at her earlier.
He went to her room and hesitated to knock on her door when he heard the music playing, which he knew it meant she was in a bad mood. Feeling that this mood was probably his fault, he decided to try to make it better even if seeing him might make it worse. He knocked on her door and waited for a response.

Destiny opened it "yes?" she asked harshly. She had on a fitted tank top and loose sweats. Her curly brunette hair was in a messy ponytail. She leaned against the doorway "what is it?" she asked. She looked to the side boredly, a screwdriver in her gloved hands. She sighed. "Dont even bother trying to make up for earlier, go back to your little girlfriend" she taunted, then got up and closed the door in his face. She didnt want to see him now, not at all.

(it's ok... it's a strange world to get used to playing in. She did fix it. Just as long as anytime someone makes a mistake like that and it gets pointed out that it gets fixed, it's no big deal.)

Edward was a bit confused and stunned, and he stared at the door. It seemed she wasn't even going to let him try to make up for it, and the whole girlfriend thing confused the heck out of him.
"What on earth are you talking about, Destiny?" he asked through the door, too curious to know what she was talking about to leave her alone.

"You know what I'm talking about. if it were HER calling you Eddy, you wouldn't snap at her! You don't care about anyone but her. How can you trust her so easily? She could be gaining our trust, then turning her back on us! Thats what I mean!" She yelled when she opened the door. Tears started to form in her eyes as she shook her head, locking her door. She walked past him, wiping away tears, heading to the palce where they eat. She got a sandwhich out of a fridge ((if she can do that)) and started eating it, her expression troubled and upset. He wasnt making things better.

((Wait... they have a cafeteria-ish thing right? And fridges? and sandwhiches? or do they eat food in tubes?))

(yeah, fridges are fine :) I suppose they're basic enough, and definitely from the time period I said the resistance has stuff from. Just use the late 80s/early 90s as a guideline for anything that the resistance has, except fashion of course :D )

"Oh, Miss Iaa?" he asked. "First off, no 'friendlies' are allowed to know where the base is unless our leader trusts them, and if he's fine with it, who are we to question it, no?" He sighed and followed her into the kitchen and leaned against the wall. "Secondly, I would snap at her for calling me Eddy if she did it. I don't see why you insist on doing it despite how many times I've asked you not to... and she is definitely not my girlfriend, ok?"
He ruffled his hair in frustration again, not understanding why she was being so difficult.

"Yea, sure you would" she muttered, taking another bite. Her hair was kinda starting to fall out of the ponytail, but she didnt seem to mind. "Oh yea, she's not your girlfriend. No, your just nicer to her than others" she said. She finished ehr sandwhich and shook her head "because I'm just teasing. You should konw me by now, but you never took the time to konw me, just that alien girl" she said, walking past him. She went to the leader's room, deciding it was enough prodding out of her on the computer. She told him and walked back to ehr room, so she could bring it to him. She handled it very carefully, including the instructions. From watching her, you wouldnt think she could lift all that heavy stuff, but she did so with ease. Once she took it to him, she went back to her room, her door open a tiny bit

Edward just sighed and took a seat at the table, watching her go. He rested his elbow on the table and his forehead in his palm and looked a bit bewildered. He didn't think he treated Iaa any differently than anyone else, and if he was nicer to her it was only because she was nice to him. She seemed to respect what he did despite knowing more than him about it, and she didn't call him Ed or Eddy. Destiny was another case, and he didn't understand what had got her all worked up about it. He remembered what Iaa said about Destiny liking him, but it sure didn't feel like that to him right now.

Destiny cried a bit more "he only likes her, no one else..." she whispered. She got up and punched the wall, then collasped on her knees crying. Blood ran down ehr knuckles and onto the floor but she didnt care. She put her head down, tears falling, black lines going down her face. "He'll never like me..." she whispered. She laid down on her back, sighing. She curled up on ehr side and closed her eyes, then soon fell asleep.

Lili blinked and suddenly the figure in the doorway was gone. Confused, she walked to the doorway and looked around, trying to see anyone walking away, there were none. Did she just imagine the figure? Surely she heard the knock, and she saw the figure, it seemed real enough. Perhaps she was just imagining, or maybe still sleepy from the night's rest. However, before Lili could contemplate the matter any further, the village's childeren started walking over to her door. "Miss Lili! Miss Lili! Tell us a story!" they cried.

Farrell wandered for what seemed like hours, but it real time it was about ten minutes before stumbling upon a small village. From what he could see, there were plenty of humans there, (though he wasn't sure about aliens) but no one he knew. Very little technology as well. That was expected though as only very nice cities had high technical equipment and humans were there as slaves. He pulled his hood up further in order to hide himself as he walked closer.

Eager faces looked up at Lili as she began her tale. "Long ago, before these trees were even seedlings, the world was filled with joy and happiness. Princesses lived in castles where they were waited on, hand and foot, never being forced to do a day's worth of work. Knights roamed the lands, riding their horses and fighting theives and murderers. Fine dances with glorious music were held every night. People would feast on all sorts of food ranging from roast turkey to pum......" as Lilium told her tale, the air seemed to grow warm and welcoming. Everyone listening was so intent on the story told by Lili that one could almost hear the grand music and smell the delicous food that was being described. Lili continued to tell of a princess who was kind and gentle, and never felt any qualms about work. She told of the Knight who saw her in court and loved her for her humility and kindness. The two fell deeply in love and soon were married, living happily ever after. Finishing her story, the childeren ran off, pretending to be the characters in her story. She knew they would not bother her for the rest of the day.

It was quiet in Destiny's room when Edward passed by it, and he figured it was best to leave her alone. It seemed anything he did lately to try to make things better only made things worse. He went back to setting up the network within the base so that data could be shared by everyone much more efficiently. It was quiet as he worked with the various wires and such as most of the field agents were out looking for these ones called the 'Chosen Ones.' Edward didn't know if he actually believed in them or not, he thought it was quite possible that the old man who spoke about them was just going senile, but their leader seemed convinced of thier existance, and who was Edward to question his leader? He sighed. The network was almost completely done being hardwired and soon he'd be able to test it out.

Destiny woke up later, teetering to the sides, her vision dizzy. She somehow picked herself up, then dragged herself to the nurse's room. She collapsed on the bed, thr blood loss major. The nurse tended to her knuckles; she'd ask Destiny about it later. She was knocked out so easily from blood loss because she hadnt experianced it many times before.

Farrell kept walking, hearing a girl's voice. She was telling a story, one that he didn't happen to know. He continued to amble through the village, stopping when he saw her speaking to a crowd of young children. He tried to stay hidden rather than be noticed by a kid or her, both seemingly younger than himself. When she finished, the mass of children dispersed which left him about ten feet away, looking rather enigmatic.

Jariath sat down on the floor, looking up for a moment at his ceiling. Part of him wondered whether his parents were wondering where he was. Probably even though they should have been used to this by now. He was currently at the headquarters of the Freedom Fighters which was kind of rare since he tended to be here or there or somewhere else. He stood up, brushing himself off before he picked up what looked like an old computer monitor and lifted it, placing the thing in an empty corner.

Edward was in the next room and could hear things being moved. He peeked out from under the table he was working under and saw what was going on.
"Hey, Jariath," he called. "Could you possibly bring that in here... please? That's the last one I need to hook up."
He decided to add the please, not wanting to tick him off.

Lili stood up and leaned on the doorway as she watched the childeren run off. Smiling she saw some of the boys pick up some sticks and start playfighting with them. One of them was yelling an improvised warcry that did not sound nearly as impressive as it could have. With a giggle, Lili scanned the town for any children that may not be getting along, instead she spotted a man she did not know. Lili furrowed her eyebrow in confusion...was this the figure she saw? No it couldn't be, he had an entirely different build. Still, why was he here?

((Urgh! I hate to post once and go...but I totally lost track of the time and I have to go...perhaps I'll manage my time better tomorrow...Sorry...so sorry!))

Iaa sighed and collapsed on her bed with her arms and legs spread out. "I've got to get out of here," she said aloud to herself, reaching for her remote. She pressed the red button and ended up on the floor of the Freedom Fighters headquarters. I suppose I should have done that standing up, Iaa thought, with a small smile. She got up and dusted herself off, thinking of who she could talk to. Not Edward or Destiny, she needed another alien - Jariath. Iaa walked to his room to see Edward already talking to him. She decided that she'd just wait.

Farrell looked around, noting how they played pretend, mainly with the story that the girl told earlier. He turned to the storyteller, wondering who she was. Maybe she could tell him if there was some sort of inn or hotel to stay at.

"Yeah, sure." Jariath shifted his position to move the monitor towards the room Edward was in. It was sad that compared to the technology of the Masters this might as well have been medieval times. Not that it could be helped. He might get caught if he ever smuggled technology.

"Thanks," he said, getting up and clearing off a place on the table for it. He could tell what he was thinking, it was what most of the friendlies thought. "I know it's junk, but it's what we've got and I'm determined to make it work." He then got back under the table and began to fiddle with the wires again. This was the last room that he had to wire before he could test out the system. He sure hoped it wouldn't fry anything, especially the makeshift server that he had worked so hard on.

(I found my husband asleep on the couch, so apparently it's bedtime... so this will be my last post for the night. @Cows: if you want to continue playing with Jariath tonight, it's fine by me if he just sets the monitor down and leaves the room to do other things.)

Jariath set down the monitor, stepping back and watching Edward wire up the computer. He decided to leave the room, looking to find something else to do whilst the human boy worked on the technology. he supposed that he could tinker with a recently found pocket watch.
((xD I actually have to go anyways. It's getting really late over here x_X))

Destiny woke later. She sighed and looked around, oh right, she was in the infirmary. She got up and was suddenly questinoed by the nurse about her wound. "I tripped" she lied, and the nurse asked "how come only your knuckles on your right hand are hurt?" she asked. Destiny simply looked at her "i'll be on my way now. Thank you for being so kind as to treat me" she said. She walked to her room and got in, then played disco music. A messenger came to her room "the Leader wants to see you Miss Hatake" he said, and she followed him to the leader's office. He turns in his chair "I have heard from people you are still being hostile to the aliens, especially Miss Iaa" he stated. She nodded "yes, it is true," earning herself a questioning from him, "and why, are you behaving like this, Miss Hatake? You have not much problems with other aliens in the Freedom Fighters. It seems your hostility is only to Miss Iaa is it not?" he asked. She nodded, "why?" he asked. She looked up at him "I... Dont know. She gets treated fairer becuase she's alien. Everything is easy for her. She's lucky she didnt have to go through what I did. Seeing her, just makes me mad becuase she has everything so easy" she said. She looked away "and one other reason" she said. He nodded, understanding it was something she didnt want to talk about. "Dismissed then, if nothing other" he said. She got up and left.

While Edward and Jariath went to work, Iaa decided to walk around aimlessly for a little bit. She passed the Leader's office and heard voices inside. Curiosity got the better of her and she began to eavesdrop. As the conversation went on, a small frown appeared on her face and her brows furrowed. When she saw Destiny come out, Iaa was standing right in front of her, breathing heavily. It's like both sides of her were merging together, and she didn't know which one was going to win. She wanted to be angry and rude, but another side of her wanted to approach this in a calm matter. Either way, she was to speak her mind. "You think I have everything so easy? Just because I'm an alien does not mean I don't have feelings! I have to lie to everyone around me just to help you out. I have a mother that I haven't seen in ages because she thinks I'm a monster! So you're wrong. I don't have everything easy, and I don't appreciate you judging me."

Edward was satisfied that he finally had everything hooked up, and now it was time to test it out. He went around the large base and began to turn on all of the computers to make sure they still worked, which was quite a task. This is why it was important. With such a large base, they needed a way to share information quickly between all the different parts and departments, and keeping a bunch of paper file folders was just getting way too inefficient.

She glared "eavesdropper. Guess what? The last time I saw my wmother was ten years ago! And you konw what happened eh pamper girl? BOTH MY PARENTS WERE SLAIN INFRONT OF MY EYES. ILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN!!! AND, your not helping ME, just your boyfriend EDWARD" she yellled. Her eyes were full of anger and depression, sorrow. "You have no room to talk missy! You havent been through any of the shit I have! Youd be scarred if you were, if you even saw a GLIMPSE of my life!" she yelled, frustrated. "You guys all think you have it hard, you aliens. You dont even KNOW the true definition of hard!"
