Scarletts eyes instantly filled with tears. "Oh Gideon!" She cried, jumping up on her tip toes and looking into his ears. She then stared at him, making sure he could see her lips. "Maybe you just need some rest." She said, making sure to do the movements of her lips slowly so that he could take the time to see what she was saying.
She gently took his hand and led him over to the bed, sitting him down beside Alice since the bed was big enough for four. She kissed him gently on the lips. "Things will get better." She said slowly, running her hand through his dark hair, tears still falling down her pale face.
Andrew frowned at Gideons words. "Shit.." He muttered, looking down at his bottle of alcohol. "Now what are we gonna do?! Alice looks drugged, your knocked up, and now Gideon can't hear! Were all being attacked by this house so that we can't freaking leave!" He yelled.

Gideon gasped upon the suddenness of the "assault." The inspection was swift, and when it was over Scarlett was staring at him. The male smiled slightly, knowing that the worry in her eyes was more than enough to convey her meaning. His dark eyes flickered to her lips as she emphasized her words, slowing them down so he might understand them.
Other than the fact that he was a terrible lip-reader, Gideon understood enough to know what she meant. "You first," he said, allowing himself to be led toward the bed. Once he was sitting, he glanced up at Scarlett - and was met by a kiss. The action was so full of care that Gideon frowned in concern. The tears sliding down Scarlett's cheeks made him feel horrible . . . even though it wasn't necessarily his fault.
As Scarlett ran a hand through his hair, Gideon caught her fingers. "It's going to be okay," he said firmly, meeting her gaze steadily. As her tears continued to fall, the male stood and wiped away her tears with his thumbs. He wasn't going to let her sit there with an open wound. He could manage just fine . . . Gideon just couldn't hear.
He left a kiss on Scarlett's forehead before he turned and headed for the bathroom. He returned with the med-kit, and sat down as he sifted through it. The bite marks on Scarlett's shoulder/neck needed to be cleaned, and then bandaged. It was going to take a bit of time.
Gideon glanced at Andrew when he yelled, but he wasn't able to hear what he was saying. It was obvious from the hopeless anger in his eyes, though. Gideon grimly let his expression fall into neutrality, agreeing with the blond completely (even though he couldn't hear the words).
Gideon reached up and gently padded Scarlett's wound with a cleansing pad, watching her face to make sure it didn't hurt her too much.
-
Alice seemed to frown at Andrew's words, and she wished she could block them out. She tried to speak, but her lips wouldn't move. Sure, if she'd ever been drugged before, this should be what it felt like. Everyone had something wrong with them, and they couldn't leave the haunted house. Figures, right? The woman's golden eyes slowly opened, and she watched Andrew take a drink of his glass bottle.
"I'm getting better," she slurred, flinching when she heard the heavy sound of her own voice. "We'll be okay."

Scarlett grimaced a little at the pain from cleaning her wound, but gave a weak smile as Gideon wiped away her tears. "It's not going to be okay if you can never hear my voice again." She said slowly, another tear falling. She put her hand on her stomach, feeling the child moving around. What if they did get out and he never heard their childs voice? Sure its not like they meant to have a kid, but she figured even if they didn't stay together once they got out, that he'd at least try to make an effort to meet his "kid". She glanced up back at him and sighed a long, sad, sigh.
Andrew wrapped an arm around Alice. "Hopefully, Babe.." He whispered, putting his chin on the top of her head and pulling her towards him. He looked over at his sister and Gideon sadly. "Things will get better Scar. We'll make sure he can hear before we try and escape."

The thoughts that passed over Scarlett's face made Gideon frown. He placed his hand over hers as she touched her stomach. "Please, don't cry." He hardly got what she'd last said, but it was something about doing something again. The male assumed she meant his hearing. Gideon watched as Scarlett sighed, her features falling. He didn't hear Andrew's words, though.
He focused on finishing her wound, getting it cleaned up and dried. After a few minutes he had bandages covering the area. Medical tape held on a lovely layer of gauze, keeping it from bleeding again. Gideon fingered the bloody piece of crimson fabric that belonged to him, knowing it was stained with Scarlett's blood. Somehow that made it all the more special.
When he finished bandaging Scarlett, Gideon stood. Gently pulling her chin up, he kissed her softly. "We should all get some rest. We'll scope things out in the morning." Though in their state, that merely meant learning to live in the same room. They were all a bit messed up, and they needed time for healing. Time, though, meant that Scarlett was in more danger. Gideon hated that thought.
He headed for the bathroom to wash his hands. Looking into the mirror, he caught sight of movement. When his brown eyes jerked back up to the glass, he found that the spirit from earlier was watching him. The dark-haired youth had helped them thus far, but Gideon didn't like putting faith in one of them. They held gazes for a few moments before the ghost leaned forward and touched the other side of the glass.
A chill raced through Gideon, and he finished drying his hands quickly. After placing the bloody strip of fabric in the sink, he turned to leave. His glance showed him more than he thought, though. The spirit had left a note on the glass, as though it had been fogged up only where he touched.
Troy is waiting.
Gideon stared for a moment before shaking his head. There was nothing they could do about it. When he returned to the room with the others, Gideon was running a hand through his hair. What else can we do? He saw that Andrew and Alice sufficiently covered the bed. That left the recliner chair for Scarlett, and a rather thick blanket in the closet for Gideon himself. They would all have to make do with their sleeping conditions for a while.
-
Alice made a small sound of agreement and smiled a bit, loving the warmth coming from Andrew. He was hurt, and she wasn't quite sure how . . . but she hoped he would heal quickly. Listening to the sounds of Gideon moving about, and eventually getting the blanket down from the closet, Alice sighed.
She slowly felt her control returning, but it felt like she was full of wet sand. The girl's golden eyes scanned over Scarlett, and worry entered her features. She knew that Gideon couldn't hear, but there was nothing they could do about it. Everyone just needed sleep. "We take so much for granted," she muttered. Alice leaned against Andrew, her pale eyes lingering on his leg. They had to get better. They couldn't die there.

Scarlett gingerly kissed him back and then watched him leave the room. "Sleep with me?" She mouthed to him when he came back in, patting the spot next to her in the large recliner. She wanted to cuddle with him after the long day.
The girl got the cover from the closet and laid back in the chair, frowning as she looked up at Gideon. Fear shown clearly in her teary eyes."I''m scared." She said softly, though even if he couldn't hear it was easy to tell that she was frightened by her expression. If they didn't get out, Troy would take the child. And they would die. If they did get out it would be very difficult since they would have to devise a plan to get the now crippled Andrew over the gate. The blondes facial expression quickly turned to gloom.
Andrew nodded. "Yes we do. Now let's go to sleep so was can be well rested for tomorrow." He said, closing his eyes and cuddling Alice to his chest. "Goodnight Alice, Sweet dreams." He whispered, kissing the top of her head and pulled the cover over them with his free hand.

Gideon shifted his hold on the large blanket, glancing over to Scarlett in time to see her pat the spot beside her. The male sent a glance over to Andrew, but that was the only amount of hesitation he gave. Spreading the blanket out, he sat beside Scarlett, carefully pulling her against him and situating the blanket about them. Though they were mostly sitting up, it was more comfortable than the floor.
Just as they were situated, Gideon caught the look of fear on Scarlett's face. He knew that everyone was feeling out of sorts, especially Scarlett. This couldn't be easy on her. The male slowly stroked her cheek with his fingers, his brown eyes full of care. "We'll think about getting out in the morning," he whispered, pulling her head against his chest. Gideon breathed in Scarlett's gentle scent, sighing. They weren't about to give up.
((:XD Alright, so time skip to morning! And . . . we'll have to have some extra help to get them up and moving, apparently. I know that Scarlett isn't going to die! And the child shouldn't be born in the house . . . that would be WAY too creepy. *shudder*))

((That would be so creepy. :ninja: A good idea! And . . . I'll have Laiden/the ghost that looks like Laiden come back eventually. He's sorta a silent observer at this point.))
Gideon dreamed that night . . . and though it started out a pleasant dream, it ended as a nightmare. He could recall . . . scenes. There were moments with Scarlett in his mind where he brought them to light, and at first it was pleasant. It wasn't until later on in the dream when things darkened. He felt as though his control slipped away, and he became the monster that was Troy. He could feel Scarlett's pain, and was unable to help her. Instead, he watched as she was hurt.
When his eyes opened the next morning, he found himself awake before everyone else. It was a good couple hours before anyone else would awaken. He couldn't chase the picture of Scarlett's surprise and agony off of his face, and that bothered him more than anything.
Looking down at the sleeping girl, he carefully moved a few stray locks of hair from her face. Oh, God. You were so hurt. Gideon's brown eyes scanned over her peaceful features sadly, wishing there was something he could have done to stop this all from happening.
We never should have come here.

Scarletts eyes fluttered open when Gideon stirred. "Whats wrong?" She asked groggily, taking the hand closest to her and lacing it with hers. She hoped to god he could hear her. "Can you hear me?" She asked, biting her bottom lip and frowning.

Gideon carefully linked his fingers with Scarlett's, watching her delicate fingers entwine with his. "Nothing's wrong," he whispered, seeing the worry flash over her face upon seeing him awake. He didn't catch her second question, for his gaze was locked on their hands.
His gloved fingers were a dark contrast to Scarlett's pale skin. He couldn't feel her warmth with his metallic hand, but he knew it was there. Gideon could feel her warmth against him every time she drew a breath. After a few moments, he seemed to notice that Scarlett was waiting for an answer. With the slightest of frowns, Gideon shook his head to show he hadn't heard what she'd said. Little did he know that it was the answer to her question.
It was roughly six in the morning, and little light filled the room. There was a single window against the far wall, somewhat near the bed. Every other light had been turned out for the night, save the nightstand lamp. Alice had mumbled something about keeping it on, and no one had protested. The house had them all a bit spooked.
Gideon used his free hand to shift them on the recliner, making their place a bit more comfortable. Just a few weeks ago this kind of contact would have appalled him. Now, though, the male felt responsible for Scarlett's well-being. He'd obviously been closer, though he didn't recall it. Only in his nightmares, apparently.
"Did you sleep alright?" he asked in a breathy whisper, not wanting to wake anyone else up.

Scarlett nodded. "I slept good. And you?" She asked, frowning as he shook his head. She put her ear up against his chest, listening to his heart beat in his chest. Thump. Thump. Thump. It was music to her ears. If only he could heart what she heard. She took his hand and placed it on her chest over her heart so he could feel it beating. She then snuggled closer to him, enjoying his warmth and the music coming from his chest.
She lightly traced her hand over his chest, slowing her breathing down to hear his heart beat clearly. It was obvious it was something that soothed her.

Gideon saw the question on her face, but didn't hear it. "I had strange dreams," he breathed in response. When Scarlett leaned against him and pressed an ear to his chest, a light blush shaded his cheeks. He desperately tried to keep his heart rate normal as she listened to it.
When he felt Scarlett take his hand, Gideon smiled a bit. The blush on his features darkened once more as he felt her heart beating beneath his fingertips. While Gideon's heart sounded strong, Scarlett's felt gentle. It was the difference between a panther and a kitten - they were the same, but so different.
He took a deep breath when he felt her warm fingers trailing over his chest. It sent shivers through him with every passing moment. Seeing the peace on Scarlett's face was more than enough to satisfy Gideon himself. He kept his hand over her heart, noting how her pulse slowed down when she slowed her breathing. If only this was their only worry in the world.
-
It was a few hours later (roughly 9 in the morning) when Alice stirred. She was a bit groggy, but she found that she could stretch and open her eyes sufficiently. With a quiet yawn, she looked up at Andrew's face. She was still leaning against him, and when she reached up to stroke his cheek her smile grew. She'd never liked anyone like she liked this boy. Alice wanted to stay with these people forever.
Heck, she even wanted Gideon around. He seemed good for Scarlett, even if Alice didn't like him much. Sending a glance their way, her golden eyes caught on their expressions. For the first time, they were utterly at peace. It was a strange thing to see on their faces after all that had happened.
Turning her attention back to Andrew, she snuggled closer and let out a sigh. She didn't ever want this peace to end.

Scarlett had fallen back to sleep after listening to his heart, and woke up a few hours later. She stirred, yawning slightly and then looking up at Gideon. She didn't want to re-wake him so she just sat, staring at him. When she looked over towards Alice and Andrew she noticed Alice was awake. She smiled in her direction and gave a soft wave. "Andrew doesn't wake up very easy." She whispered, knowing that unless Alice shook Andrew or used a loud voice, the boy wouldn't even acknowledge her presence.

Alice smiled at her friend, raising an eyebrow and pointedly looking at Gideon's hand. It was still resting over Scarlett's heart, and to be honest it looked like he was gettin' a bit touchy-feely. When she saw the look on Scarlett's face in response, the dark-haired woman smiled. She knew - she could see the peace on the faces of the other couple.
"I'm glad. He needs to rest." Alice turned her attention back to Andrew for a moment before slowly worming her way out of his grasp. She really had to use the restroom. With a small smile, she closed the door behind her. Other than feeling like she had run a marathon, it looked like the old Alice was back.

Scarlett blushed and watched Alice head into the bathroom. Then the woman looked up at Gideon, grinning and then turning so that she was straddling him. She planted a long, passionate kiss on Gideons lips and waited to see if he opened his eyes. She would said something to him.. but he still couldn't hear her, which hurt her greatly. How were they going to get out if he couldn't hear them if they were in a dark room? Or if they all got seperated and had to call for help?

(( I had to read back a few posts there. . . . LOL, sorry for taking so long! I sorta lost track of things when school started up.))
Gideon slept peacefully. The wake up call he received brought him slowly from his dreams, though for once reality seemed better than the unreal. With a sound of pleasure, he immediately slid a hand behind her neck. Scarlett's passionate kiss brought him into the waking world, leaving him with want written all over his features. He was hyper aware of every place where they touched, and looked amused to find himself in such a position.
"Good morning to you too, Scar." Pulling her toward him for another passionate kiss, Gideon nipped her lip playfully. "No one has ever gotten me to wake up that quickly before." His voice was low, though he couldn't judge how quiet he was - it was hard to do when he couldn't hear himself. His brown eyes flickered over Scarlett, and Gideon met her gaze to read whatever he could there. He memorized everything he possibly could: though these days were full of terror, they were also the best days of his life.

((I'll say Andrews in the other room taking a shower since it's getting hot in here! xD ))
When Gideon pulled her in for another passionate kiss the blonde felt a shiver of pleasure run through her. She blushed, realizing they were in such a close position due to her straddling him to wake him up. "Well how about this.. The first night we get out of here i'll do more than wake you up.." She said in a seductive tone, smirking and leaning over to kiss him. She nipped at his lip playfully back and then trailed her hand down his chest. She probably would've chosen to be with him here and now if it wasn't for the fact that the house watched their every move.
"And if you work really hard to get your hearing back then I might keep you up all night." She teased, giving him another kiss. "But not until were out or you can hear my beautiful voice." She said, making sure she said it in a slower way so he could read her full lips. She blushed a little, her hands resting on his shoulders.

Gideon watched Scarlett's lips every time she spoke. As her hand moved over his chest, he let a hand rest on her. "That's quite the incentive," he whispered, watching a blush spread over her cheeks. It was charming - and he loved it. "I'd like that." There was a moment in which he just watched her . . . and then he snagged another kiss. This time, though he pulled her against him completely.
Holding her close, he buried his face in her hair and smiled. "It's hard to let you go, Scar. You'll have to tell me if someone's coming."
As though in response to his words, the door to the bathroom opened. Alice let out a sarcastic sound of disgust. "Oh! Geez. Just need to grab a clean shirt. Don't mind me!" She shot a glance to the couple as she swiftly stepped toward the bag of clothing she'd pulled into the room before their desperate scramble for an escape.
Alice was grinning when she headed back for the bathroom. "If anything happens, just . . . stomp on the ground three times for 'don't disturb,' alright? I don't need to think about you two!"
She slid back into the bathroom with a clean shirt, looking at Andrew with her gold eyes full of mischievous laughter.

She had kissed back, then kissed his neck. She was just about to give in when the bathroom door flung open. She blushed brightly, sitting up so it looked less like her and Gideon were about to get it on. "Someones here." She said to him, grinning. "But don't worry. You just work on getting better." She said, giving him another kiss on the neck. She then got off of him and just sat next to him on the bed. "Come on out Alice." She laughed, eying the bathroom.
"Were not going to get it on, so go ahead and come out." She teased, watching as Alice and her brother both tip toed out of the bathroom with mischeivious grins on their face. "What?! I'm already pregnant, it can't get much worse!" She joked, laughing. She then laid her head on Gideons chest, grinning at the two across the room. "I think the house has settled down a bit if you want to go around the house today." She said, yawning.
Andrew came out of the bathroom limping on one leg, grinning a huge grin. "Looks like Gideon was about to take a trip to whipville." He chuckled, making a whipping noise and motion. He then looked to his sister, smirking. "Please, you just want us out of the room." He smirked, wrapping an arm around Alice. He was still only in his boxers. "Babe, could you help me get dressed?" He asked, looking over to Alice for help. Since he couldn't balance he would need her help putting on clothes.

"Wow, no warning." Alice was still grinning widely as she clutched her shirt. She was wearing her pajamas again, though they were damp due to being in the same room as the shower. "I guess I should have at least considered it though. Pssh, leaving you two alone is an impossibility. We'll need a sign, or something."
The dark-haired woman giggled as she saw Andrew's movements. "Who would have known?" Alice's eyes widened in fake innocence as she supported Andrew. "Gideon's a wild one." She snagged a pair of pants for Andrew and pulled him toward the bed.
Gideon didn't hear what they were saying, but when he saw Andrew a blush spread over his features. Stroking Scarlett's head as she rested it against him, a smile spread over his face.
"Sit," she ordered in a falsely harsh voice. "I don't see what's wrong in running around like this all day. I guess you're just self-conscious, aren't you?" With a wink, she helped get the pant legs onto him before making him stand again. Finally getting the first layer of clothing on him, she happily handed him his shirt and disappeared behind the bathroom door to change as well. Alice returned a few minutes later in a white skirt that fell just past her knees and a matching shirt made of white lace-patterned cloth. The gold belt around her waist was the only bit of color on her save her eyes - as was usual for her.
"I guess I really didn't come here thinking I'd be stuck in a horror movie." Glancing at the bag of food they'd gathered, she cringed. "And I really didn't think we'd run out of food that quickly, you pigs." Wrinkling her nose, Alice laughed. "If it's calmed down . . . maybe we can get a bit more ready. I mean, use the time given to us, right?"

Scarlett grinned. "Yes, you'll definitely need a sign for us." She giggled. She closed her eyes, enjoying how Gideon stroked her hair. "Don't worry you two. We promise not to do anything you wouldn't do." She winked, giggling as Alice dressed her brother like he was a little boy. "Okay since two of us have to get food I say you two go because I'm pregnant and Gideons..deaf?" She grinned. "So nose goes!" She said, putting her index finger on her nose.
Andrew grimaced as he was dressed like a little boy. At Scarletts words he grinned. "Scar, just exactly would I not do with such a beautiful woman?" He asked, grinning. When she brought up nose goes he was too late to touch his nose. "Shit!" He frowned, pouting like the kid he felt he was.

Gideon merely smiled a bit, looking like he was struggling to understand what everyone was saying. It bothered him, but . . . what could they do?

Gideon laughed, shaking his head. "The truth has surfaced!" he said sarcastically, a blush dark on his cheeks. Honestly, he'd made it a point to keep himself away from women in the past. He'd seen what his family had gone through, and after witnessing his own mother destroying her life Gideon made a decision. He didn't want to be one of those men. He never wanted to abandon a family after starting it.
Fingering Scarlett's curls, he knew he'd started a family . . . even if it wasn't willing. He couldn't abandon it now.
-
With a wink at the other two, Alice nodded. "A good idea. I'm sure there's something we can use." She slowly headed for the door, immediately adjusting her pace to match Andrew's. She supported him whenever necessary, becoming the perfect helper as he limped about.
When they had left the room, Alice started to laugh. "Really, I never wanted to see that look on Gideon's face. I hope I never have to see it again!" The way he'd just looked at Scarlett . . . it was enough to make any girl's insides melt. Though, to Alice, it made her want to puke. Besides, hadn't he practically abused Scarlett and started this whole mess (purposefully or not)?

Once they left the room Scarlett gave him a quick kiss. "I know, your just so wanting to get in my pants.." She teased, blushing as he played with her hair. "I don't deserve you." She smiled, putting her hand on his chest. "You so much more amazing then all the other men I've been with." She said, kissing the side of his face.
Andrew chuckled. "I know! She really has him whipped." He grinned, though knew Alice had him whipped too. So he shouldn't be cracking jokes. He had one arm around her to keep balance. "Didn't you guys see a wheelchair or something in the attic?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
