Gideon was hot to the touch he was blushing so hard. "Who's to say who's deserving of who?" He pulled her head against his shoulder again and kissed the top of her head. "Deserving isn't a reason to get something or throw it out." He ran a finger along her collarbone playfully. "We'd both be in trouble if 'deserving of something' ran our lives. We'd have nothing."
- Alice laughed, agreeing completely. "Such a strange guy, though." The dark-haired woman continued onward toward the attic . . . and when they got to the stairs she paused. Taking Andrew up in the dark wasn't a good idea, and she would need to hold the light so it was steady. "I don't remember seeing one, but there might be something. We weren't really looking for it, were we?" Her golden eyes flickered over Andrew's blond hair and tanned features admiringly before she blinked and looked up the stairs. "Let's go in together and check. I'm too much of a scaredy-cat to go alone." |
Scarlett nodded. "I guess so." She said, making sure he could see his lips. "I wish you could hear me." She said, frowning. She laced her fingers with his and gave him another kiss. "You deserve me." She said, grinning. "Just I don't deserve someone so kind."
Andrew nodded. "Kay, just please don't laugh at how I go up the stairs?" He asked, biting his bottom lip. Since he had broken his leg he would have to crawl up the stairs. |
"Me? Laugh?" Alice looked completely stunned. "At poor you? Never, Tiger." She kissed his chin before stepping up ahead of him, flicking on the flashlight and looking around to make sure it was safe. So far, so good. Looking back, Alice waited for Andrew faithfully. She'd wait all day, if she had to.
"We can start at one end of the attic and just start scanning. I'm sure we'll find something." Heck, even a cane would work. Crutches, a wheel chair . . . there were a number of things they could use. They had been lucky enough to find the brace, so perhaps they would find whatever else they needed. - Gideon chuckled, kissing Scarlett's lips and lightly running his fingertips over her features. He loved how warm she felt to his touch, now her blush lit up as his fingers passed over her. "I'll hear you again someday," he said, though they both knew it was wishful thinking. They had no idea how to reverse it . . . so hopefully it would wear off. Looking at their laced fingers, Gideon witnessed the difference between her smooth skin and the cover of his gloved hand. "I don't understand why we weren't attacked last night," Gideon whispered quietly, frowning as he thought about it. They had been so close. Walls didn't stop the spirits, so why hadn't they finished the job? What were they waiting for? |
Scarlett nodded. "Yeah, It's kind of weird that they didn't finish us off." She said, then bit her lip. "Maybe their waiting until I'm further along?" She asked, taking Gideons hand and putting it on her small stomach. "Who knows. This house is messed up.." She mumbled.
Andrew slowly climbed up the stairs on all fours and then crawled into the attic. After taking several breaths, the male got up and grabbed Alice's arm. "Kay. Look around for crutches or a wheelchair.." He said, his eyes combing over the room. |
"Very." He kept his hand on Scarlett's stomach for many moments before wrapping both arms around her and pulling her close. "I'm glad the others went for food." He didn't want to get up. He didn't want to think about getting up. He was content where he was.
- Their search lasted for a good half hour before they found anything useful. "Here!" Alice yanked a pair of crutches out of a pile of junk, coughing when the dust choked the air. She passed them over, wiping a smear of dust from her face. The crutches were old, but they would work. ((:XD ALright, these guys are just so innocent in comparison to people like Nym. . . . :XD Any ideas? I mean . . . I'm running low, here. LOL!)) |
((Hmm. I dunno >.< What should we do to spice things up? ))
|
((Psssh. Let's see. We've had attacks, and those are great . .. but they aren't as dramatic as they were at first, because we expect them.
We have the two couples who have already fallen in love, so that "conflict" is already gone. Hmmm. Besides romance and horror, what can we throw in?)) |
((Hmm...well we could have one of the couples get in a fight? Or do you have any ideas?))
|
((:XD It's hard to cause fights that last. Hmmm. Well. I could say that it was Alice's father who set this whole thing up. :ninja: And she hadn't told Andrew that, yet. :ninja: And . . . that perhaps she knew about the spirits . . . and she knows of a way to get out, but she isn't supposed to let anything "unnatural" out, so if she tells Andrew about the escape, they can't bring Scarlett.
I dunno. Hmm. Ideas. They can be hard to come by. I'd had to slur Gideon anymore - he's already been possessed! But I will say his background isn't completely clean. :ninja: He's like, a criminal or something. >.>" Which is why Alice's father chose him to come here. He added "dynamic" to the group.)) |
((OOHHHH I LIKE BOTH THOSE IDEAS :3 ))
|
((Well, we can cause conflict with both couples. Hahahah, we can use both. . . .
Now . . . how to get there? :ninja: LOL)) |
((Hmmm. We've reached an impass. xDDD))
|
((*giggle* I hate those. :XD
Hmm. So maybe another attack happens, and Alice gets freaked out. She wants to leave (perhaps something happens to her to freak her out a lot), and wants Andrew to come with her, but Andrew won't leave without his sister. :ninja:)) |
((She could trick andrew into going xD ))
|
((So true. Maaaybe that will work. :XD I wish I could think of a post right now. . . . ))
|
((Me too.. xD Um we could have it so that Scarletts pretty far along and Alice knows that she and Andrew have to get out soon. ))
|
((Ooooo, and once they get out, they can't get back in. That's so messed up.))
Alice and Andrew wandered about the house on the new-found crutches. The woman seemed to be growing worried for Scarlett (so was everyone else, but she seemed particularly distressed). "What if we don't get out before she has her child?" the dark-haired female asked quietly, looking out over the pool with her golden eyes full of fear. They were both sitting outside, for the day was nice . . . and for some reason the house allowed it. "I wish Gideon had never come. Without him, this wouldn't have happened." Alice groaned quietly, letting her forehead rest against her knees. "What was daddy thinking?" - "I still can't believe you're pregnant," Gideon whispered. Tracing circles with his fingers over Scarlett's stomach, the male blinked slowly. "I mean . . . already." He blushed a bit at the thought. He brushed dark hair from his eyes and touched the bandage at the woman's neck. It was strange to think that things were so crazy in this house. Scarlett had been bitten by her boyfriend's sister, assaulted by a possessed friend . . . heck, creatures were trying to murder them. "We never should have come here." |
((Are we skipping to where she's very far along? And yeah that sounds like a great idea (: And boyfriends sister? Alice is Gideons sister?! ))
Scarlett blushed at his words. "Yeah.. I'm still in shock.." She grinned, her head on his shoulder as she laid in his arms. "Its a shame that it turned out this way though." She said, sighing. "It would've been better to have kids when we were ready. Not just... well, BAM." She said, giggling. She gently put her hand over his while he traced the circles. At his words she turned towards him. "But then I never would've met you.." She said, frowning. She leaned and gave him a small kiss. "And I'm so happy I met you." She whispered. Andrew frowned. "I don't know Alice.. But we'll get out." He said, grimacing. "Hopefully." He was sitting by the pool, staring down in the water. He had decided to soak his leg. It felt rather nice in the water. "Daddy?" He questioned, looking over at her. "What do you mean?" |
((Oooh . . . wow. I didn't realize I posted that! Hmmm. That would certainly be interesting. Especially since Gideon has grown up with another family . . . heck . . . yes. That's just it. Alice's father is a very terrible person. Since Gideon's mother was with a lot of different men throughout Gideon's life, we'll just say he happens to be Alice's half brother. That would be nuts.
Hmm. We could skip till she's a few weeks away from having the child. :insane: That would freak Alice out.)) Gideon laughed as Scarlett giggled. Her choice of words made the situation more lighthearted. His brown eyes lingered on her hand as it rested over his lightly. He almost looked surprised when Scarlett turned to face him. "You're right," he breathed, and when she leaned over to give him a kiss he shifted so she practically fell against him. His hungry kiss was followed by a smile. "I suppose it was worth it just for that." He then sighed, wrapping his arms about the girl and pulling her against him. "I love you, Scar. I just wish we'd met under different circumstances." - Alice stared at the pool for a moment before blinking her golden eyes slowly. "Mean?" She looked as though she hadn't meant to say what she did out loud. "Oh . . ." Her lips pulled into a slight smile. "My father was the one who chose the people to come here. He chose his own daughter, and you two . . . and Gideon." The woman swallowed. "I just . . . wish he hadn't picked us specifically." Resting her chin on her knees as she pulled them closer to her, Alice sighed. Oh, her father had done more than just choose. He'd planned. |
((Kay next post can be that Scarletts farther along and they need to get out xD))
Scarlett blushed. "I love you too. And true. Different circumstances would've been good.." Andrew sighed. "Alright." ((Sorry its short. GGotta go!)) |
Gideon smiled slightly as he heard the others leave the room. They'd all been sleeping in the same room since the events that had brought them together. It was honestly the safest way to operate - and they had yet to be attacked why sleeping in Gideon's room anyway.
The dark-haired male stroked hair away from Scarlett's face, gently resting his hand on her swollen stomach. They'd managed to find some clothing in the attic that fit her . . . because all of her old clothing wasn't working. Sadly, the clothes belonged to Troy's wife. . . . It was a bit freaky, honestly. Still, at least it worked. Resting back against the chair, Gideon closed his brown eyes. He loved this feeling: just sitting there with Scarlett resting against him. He could feel the child kick every once in a while, too. His child. The thought was a bit nerve-wracking, but also so different and exciting. Hopefully things would go smoothly. The group hadn't really tried to escape since the whole fiasco of oddities that had bombarded them. Gideon reached for the glass of water that had been left on the lamp stand beside him. Taking a drink, he turned his gaze back to Scarlett's stomach. Kick. - Alice ((Will post later. :XD She's just . . . going to eat! LOL)) |
Scarlett looked up at Gideon in the fire light of the room and yawned softly. "How long was I asleep?" She asked, watching as he put his hand on his stomach. "He always kicks when you put your hand on my stomach." She smiled, feeling the kick again.
|
"It's a he now?" Gideon chuckled, gently running his hand over her stomach. He loved how soft her skin was, and how adorable it was when the child kicked. Kissing Scarlett's ear, he rested his cheek against her. "How do you know? Are you guessing?"
His mechanical hand moved to put the glass to his lips again. After another swallow of the cool water, he gently shifted so both he and Scarlett sat up more. "Thirsty?" He carefully put the cup to Scarlett's mouth, letting her guide his movements so he wouldn't attack her face with water. - Alice slowly set aside the book she was reading. "Andrew," she said slowly, sounding troubled. For the past few weeks, she'd been like this. The dark-haired woman looked scared, like she was expecting something to happen. "I think I know how to get out of this place," she said, looking equal parts stressed and horribly scared. They'd been sitting out by the pool (as they usually did, now that the house was leaving them alone) when she brought this up. Her golden eyes were wide, and she glanced back toward the door as though thinking someone would come out after them. "My father was the one who sent us here. He chose us, and he knew of the layouts. I . . . I looked at the blueprints, and I think I know where to go." Why she'd kept this a secret for this entire time was beyond comprehension. |
Scarlett smirked. "Yes, I'm just guessing.." She said, then nodded, taking a sip. "Thanks." She said, then looked up at him. "I just didn't want to call it an IT anymore." She said, resting her head back on Gideons chest. She then looked up. "Can you hear anything today?" She asked, stretching her arms out and feeling the child kick again. He had been restless for about two days now, which kind of worried her.
Andrew looked up. It had been about a month and his leg was healing nicely. He figured he would be able to walk on it in another week. The male seemed a bit aggitated she had kept this secret from him, but kept quiet. They had to get out. "How?" He asked, looking towards the house as well. His sister was much farther along than a normal pregnant woman, and it worried him greatly that in a matter of weeks she could have the baby. At the moment she looked about four or five months along. It was only a matter of time. |
"Not today," Gideon smiled sadly, knowing that it continued to bother Scarlett that he couldn't hear. He felt bad about it, but there was nothing he could do. As much as he longed to hear Scarlett's voice again, and possibly his child's cry, Gideon could do nothing to regain his hearing.
His breath caught when Scarlett's head rested against him. She had that effect on him constantly: he loved her so much, she just took his breath away with the simplest of movements. Gideon kissed the woman's neck as she stretched, catching one of her hands in his. "Have I ever told you that you're beautiful?" - Alice could hear the anger in his voice, even if he kept it hidden. "Andrew, don't be mad at me!" The woman said, shaking her head. "My father said he would be watching the exits! He said that we would never make it out alive." Her eyes narrowed, and she finally looked over the male's sculpted features. Damn, he was so hot. Alice knew she would be left alive . . . and she was willing to take the risk with Andrew. It was Scarlett and Gideon that her father really wanted. "It's . . . under the house." Alice quieted, looking down at her bare feet. "We should make sure it's safe before . . . bringing the others." Her golden eyes filled with a strange expression. "I don't want Scar getting hurt." |
