Katie Scarlett Divine 12-24-2011 02:05 PM

Scarlett looked at the photo, startled that the image of the woman looked so much like her. The only difference was that the woman had Alice's hair color. The man was very tall, strong, with dark brown hair that just went past his ears. And despite her happy smile, his face showed no emotion. She shivered, turning to place her hand on a small journal. She flipped it open to the middle and was startled by the words on the page. "Listen to this.." She said, clearing her voice. " Dear Dee, It's been 14 months since I came to live here with my amazing husband Troy. But after I lost the baby thing's seemed to change intensely. Troy no longer smiled, or paid any attention to me at all. He blamed me for our babies death. Saying I wasn't fit for birthing children, and that's why it died. He idolized our dead baby.. going to the crib it was to be kept in and sitting there, all night. Sometimes I'd go in there to check on him and he'd be talking to it.. a little girl. I began to grow frightened of Troy and his antics. At night if he came to our room he'd refuse to try for another baby, saying we only needed one at a time and that our daughter Angel was good enough. Where had he gotten that name? I grew worried for him. '

'Then it happened. One night when I was cleaning up in the kitchen because Troy had fired all the servants, I saw her. A small little girl about the age of seven siting at our table. She had dark black hair that seemed a mix of mine and Troys, and then dark crimson eyes. She glared in my direction and growled at me! Then she was gone. But then strange things began to happen. Scratches would appear on me, and i'd wake up with Troy standing over me and just staring at me. The party for our anniversary is coming up Dee, and I plan to leave Troy the day after it. I love him so much but I can't handle this anymore. Love, Heaven Leigh." Scarlett frowned. "Thats her last entry. What if something happened during the anniversary party?" She said, biting her lip. She looked over to see Gideon drop his flashlight. "Are you okay?" She asked, putting her hand on his shoulder.

Andrew shook his head. "I can't take your money. But if you want we can leave."

Esmme 12-25-2011 08:34 AM

"I'm fine," Gideon said quietly, glancing at the hand that touched him. "I just thought I saw something." The child was gone now, leaving only darkness and a feeling of anxiety in its wake. Gideon brushed dark hair from his eyes and looked to the journal that Scarlett held. "It sounds like they were having a rough time." His pale fingers gently touched a place he knew there to be scratches on her arm. "Just like us, perhaps."

With a small frown, he gripped the flashlight more tightly. He'd slid the gun back into his pocket, but something about the room felt . . . strange. It felt like they weren't alone; like the walls were closing in on them. "Let's keep looking. Perhaps there's something else that points to what started this." It was hard to believe, but it almost sounded like Troy's "imagined daughter" was the source of such despair. What didn't make sense was the fact that . . . well, a miscarried baby didn't grow up. It wasn't possible for a child to exist without the mother knowing. She gave birth to the girl.

Angel. The name kept echoing in Gideon's head. "Angel. Do you think . . ." his low voice trailed off momentarily, and his brown eyes narrowed. His fingers touched Scarlett's arm again. "Do you think she's . . . real?" Now that he'd said it out loud, it sounded absurd.
-

Alice tore her gaze away from the mirror, blinking as she thought. "I . . . want to leave." With an audible swallow, she moved closer to the looking glass and peered more closely. "It's a girl. She has dark hair." There was something there . . . as though it was standing just in the room with them. Alice nervously looked to the spot behind her where the youth should have been standing. Of course, there was nothing there. "Andrew? Do you see her?"

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-26-2011 12:34 AM

Scarlett was comforted by his touch. "I don't know. It's possible that Troy could've been so obsessed over the baby girl that perhaps he summoned something that wasn't actually his daughter? But a cruel, demonic thing?" She shivered, shifting closer to Gideon. She flipped to the front page, skimming it over. "There's no signs of Troy being insane at the beginning of their marriage.." She heard a bang on the other side of the attic, and the sound of something being drug across the old wooden floor. She grabbed Gideons arm. "Grab what you can, we'll continue this downstairs.." She said through gritted teeth. She shut Heavens suitcase and grabbed it, then lunged for three more suitcases. "Ready?"

Andrews eyes looked to the mirror, wide eyed. He picked Alice up and ran out of his room, the girls laughter trailing behind them. "Shiiiiitttttt!" He screamed, running down the steps. She sat Alice on the nearest couch. "What the hell was that?!"

Esmme 12-27-2011 07:11 AM

"Yeah," Gideon said quietly, his gaze locked on the darkness. The sound was . . . freakishly close, to be honest. The male tensed, ready to either bolt or defend Scarlett if the moment called for it. When his friend gathered some suitcases, Gideon did the same. They were soon headed down the stairs that led to the light of day. "What was that?" he asked, setting the boxes in his arms down. In a swift movement, he moved up the stairs and closed the door with a thud.
He tried to keep his breathing steady. "Let's find the others. We can tell them what we-"
That was when he heard Andrew yelling something. Gideon's brown eyes filled with a strange kind of determination. Abandoning the boxes he'd just set down, he drew Scarlett after him while headed down the hallway. For a moment he thought something might have happened to them. When he saw the light coming from a side room, he found that the other couple was seated on a couch. They seemed to be alright, though they were dicussing something in hushed, frightened tones. "You okay?" he asked Scarlett, looking back to her to make sure she was still with him.
-

When she was swept from her feet, Alice unwillingly squeaked in fear. Clinging to Andrew as best she could, the woman wished she could get the sound of laughter out of her ears. It kept ringing after them as they moved down the steps and into the nearest room. Shuddering, Alice didn't bother moving away from her blond friend once they were seated.
"I don't know," she said, wide-eyed and shaking. Her hands wouldn't steady out. Gold eyes flickering to Gideon in the doorway, she almost screamed. Alice stared at Andrew for a moment before shaking her head. "It was . . . a girl? But she wasn't there! She was in the mirror, and she wasn't standing beside me!" Voice rising, the dark-haired female seemed to grow more unsteady as she spoke. "Her laugh, Andrew! I can still hear it."

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-27-2011 08:07 PM

Scarlett stayed close behind Gideon when the ran towards her brothers yells. "I'm fine." She said softly. "And you?" She asked, her eyes looking into his for a sign of wellness. She looked towards Alice and her brother. "Are you two okay?" She asked, a faint laughing was playing in the background. She shivered. "What is that?" She asked, gulping. "I bet it's Angel." She said, glancing to Gideon. "Guys.. we found some stuff in the attic that you two should see. It's very odd.."

Andrew pulled Alice into his lap and covered his ears. "i can hear it too..." He growled. "No Scarlett, pack your things! Were leaving. All of us will stay at the closest hotel!"

((I think when they try to leave the gates should be locked >:3 And since their so high up they can't climb them.)

Esmme 12-27-2011 08:55 PM

Alice nodded vehemently, her wide eyes darting from Andrew to Scarlett. "Angel?" she said, her voice hushed. "The thing has a name now?" Shuddering, she buried her face against Andrew's chest. "Let's just go!" With that, she stood, looking around as though worried the child would appear out of nowhere. It wasn't long before she was pushing her way past Gideon. "The nearest hotel is just a few miles down the road. We can walk."
She was headed for her room before anyone could say anything about it, trying to ignore the ghostly laughter that filled the air.

-

Gideon nodded when Scarlett mentioned Angel. It made sense. When Alice shoved past him, the male narrowed his eyes and kept silent. His demeanor went cold, as it usually did with the others around. When he met Andrew's gaze, he said nothing. Gideon focused on Scarlett again. "We should leave," he said, agreeing with the others. "I'll help you gather your things."
With a gentle tug on the girl's arm, he pulled her toward the rooms.

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-27-2011 09:24 PM

Scarlett nodded and followed Gideon up the steps. She gave him a quick kiss on the side of his face to calm him and then went into her room. Quickly, as if her life depended on it she collected all her things in her suitcase. Once she had everything she slipped on her dark leather jacket and then flung the suitcase strap over her shoulder. It was small enough to carry on her back.

She left her room and went down the steps quickly, waiting for everyone to be ready. She sat her suitcase on the couch, sitting down as well. Thats when she heard a door creak open quietly to the left of her. Her eyes followed the noise, seeing that a door at the end of the hallway to her left had opened. She stood up, her flat ballet like shoes gliding across the floor towards that door. She opened it and peered inside. "Angel?" She called softly, peeking behind the door. At that moment a muffled scream echoed through out the halls of the manor.

When her eyes reopened she was on the floor, in a pitch black room that was very tiny. Closet tiny. She tried to scream but something was over her mouth.. something scaly and dirty. Then the red eyes looked directly at her and whispered. 'Mommy' In a deep, whispery voice. She shook her head violently, her eyes wild as she sobbed.

Once Andrew was packed and downstairs he saw Scarletts suitcase on the couch. "Blonde Scarlett.." He muttered, picking up her suitcase. "Guys Scarlett left without us." He called up the steps. From the house being so big, he hadn't heard her muffled scream. So he assumed that she was outside. "Hurry up!" He called upstairs, going to the front door with both suitcases in tow so that he could look out the window. It was storming and rain was coming down so hard he could barely see the front porch.

"Dammit Scarlett, why'd you leave without us?!" He yelled, opening the front door and standing on the porch.

Esmme 12-27-2011 11:38 PM

The swift kiss on his cheek didn't even affect Gideon with his usual blush. "Just hurry," he breathed, glancing at his own room. It was left closed, as he always left it. "I'll be right out." It seemed as though Scarlett could gather her belongings without help, for she was already closing her suitcase.
Gideon moved to open his door, tossing things into his own backpack as he went. Luckily, he'd only brought a few light tools and a small project. There were a few other things as well, but they all fit easily into the suitcase he'd carried in. Within a few moments he was ready to leave, and moved to set his things downstairs as swiftly as possible. Somehow he hadn't noticed that Scarlett was nowhere to be seen.

Just as he was about to head up to see if the others were finished, Gideon heard something that made his muscles tense. A scream? Then again, it had been so quiet . . . perhaps it was just his imagination. Heck, it was probably just his nerves. That was when he heard Andrew. Gideon moved away from the front door and back toward the stairway. "Left?" he repeated, not liking the sound. Surely she wouldn't have left without them. Especially not without Gideon himself. . . .
-

Alice appeared at the top of the stairs with her suitcase, pulling it down after her with a few bumps and loud noises. "Let's catch up with her then," she said, shuddering at the thought of staying in the house for a moment longer than necessary. The golden-eyed woman moved for the door, her mouth falling open when she saw the rain. "It was fine this morning!" she said, shaking her head.
When Andrew yelled out into the storm, she nudged him with her arm. "We'll be okay. She's fine. Probably out by the gate, that's all." With a swallow, Alice tugged the hood of her white coat up over her head. The fabric would be soaked through rather quickly, but at least rain wouldn't be killing her eyes.

Lightning lit up the scene around them as Alice stepped forward to the stairs of the porch. "Let's get to the gate."

But of course, when they got there . . . the path was blocked. The bars were so high that there was no hope of climbing them, and the rain had already soaked them all through to the bone. The locked gate was a minor threat compared to "Angel," but it was big enough to hinder the group's movements. "What are we going to do now?"

Gideon ignored Alice's words and focused on a single thought that consumed his mind. "Where's Scarlett?"

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-28-2011 12:02 AM

The blonde woke up 20 minutes later. The sound of rain pouring down on the roof made her shutter. "Gideon!" She cried out, beating against the door of the closet she was locked in. Angel was gone, but the faint sound of 'mommy' still lingered in the air. "I'm not your Mommy.." She growled to herself. "Gideon!" She screamed again. But they were gone. "How could they leave without me?!" She sobbed, tears running down her porcelain face.

There was a quiet scratching noise behind her and a sharp pain in her back. 'Mommy' was said again. "I'm not Heaven! I'm Scarlett!" She yelled to the demonic figure behind her. Suddenly there was a man by her as well. Troy. He reached out and caressed her face, leaning in to kiss her forehead. He whispered something that she couldn't understand. "I'm not your wife.." She whispered, but her eyes widened at his lips mouthing. 'But you will be.'

Andrew followed Alice outside after putting on his dark blue hoodie. Once they were by the gates he beat at it, cussing under his breath. At Gideons question his eyes widened. "Scarlett! Where are you!?" He yelled, looking around and then sprinting for the house. Once inside he heard a faint sound of someone yelling 'Gideon'.

Esmme 12-28-2011 02:05 AM

Alice flinched when Andrew pounded the gate. It was useless. They couldn't get out . . . not that way. By the time she realized that Scarlett was missing, she heard Gideon heading toward the house again. "This storm . . . we should stay out of it!" She moved toward Andrew, and then realized that Andrew swiftly headed in the same direction as Gideon. Both the boys left their things on the front step, and Alice was breathing heavily by the time she caught up with them. Her heart leaped into her mouth as she heard the faint cry for Gideon. "Was that her?"

Gideon didn't respond. "Scarlett!" His throat tightened as he thought of what might have happened to her. He swiftly climbed the staircase to the attic, thinking that he might hear her more clearly. "Scarlett!" Worry overwhelmed him in a manner he hadn't thought possible. He usually didn't care for people . . . but this was different. Though he hadn't known this girl for very long, he wanted her to be safe. She didn't deserve this.
Listening closely, he fought to keep his thoughts tame. Where are you? He vaguely registered that Andrew was nearby, and that Alice was left standing in the front entry. "Where?" he growled partly to himself and partly to Scarlett's brother. He looked at the blond male for a moment before he heard his name again. The sound was pure torture.

"Down?" he suggested, looking at the stairs again. Gideon's brown eyes filled with anxiety as he thought of what might be in the basement areas of the house, but perhaps that was where they should look. Who knew where they would find Scarlett? She certainly hadn't sealed herself away somewhere. This had to be the work of whatever forces were inside the house.

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-28-2011 02:42 AM

"Gideon!" She screamed, knowing Andrew was probably far away from the house by now. But Gideon would come back for her.. Right? Then she heard him call for her. Her heart skipped a beat. "Gideon come find me!" She yelled. "I don't know where I am!!!" She screamed, Troy and Angel were gone now. Once she got her surroundings she realized that the floor was cement, and very cold. "I'm in the basement!" She called, beating her hands up again the door. But what part of the huge basement? "Hurry!!!"

Andrew yelled up to Gideon. "She's in the basement!" He looked over to Alice and helped her bring the bags in, shutting the door behind them once they were both inside. He then ran for the basement, waiting for Gideon so he had back up.

Esmme 12-28-2011 05:47 AM

When he heard Andrew, Gideon's legs carried him to the basement door faster than he thought possible. They had to find her. Now. The male glanced at Andrew before shouldering the door open. He'd gone down the stairs and into the basement first with nothing but Scarlett in mind. "We're coming," he called out to the darkness. If he listened hard enough he could make out a quiet thumping noise.
Letting that sound beckon him forward, Gideon ignored the darkness as best he could. His flashlight flicked to life and flashed over the room. He saw an old wooden door on the far side of the room beyond a low wall of boxes and crates. That was where the sound was coming from. Gideon's steps were quiet as he made his way there, but he growled upon finding the door locked. He swiftly set the flashlight aside, messing with the lock. "It's locked," he said to both Andrew and Scarlett. He could hear her now, though she was very muffled. She had to be beyond the door. "Scarlett, I'm going to get you out of there."

His voice was steady and low, soothing almost. His dark hair fell into his eyes as he worked, his red "band" failing to keep it back. Gideon focused on the doorknob until he could get it open. Sadly, it took a lot longer than it should have. His hands were shaking from both the cold of the rain and anxiety. When he heard the satisfying "click" that he'd been listening for, the tall male wasted no time in yanking the door open.

((LOL, if it seems like Valentine is ignoring Andrew, it's because . . . well, he sorta is. He's far too worried.))

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-28-2011 03:15 PM

When the door opened she stood up wobbily and leaped into his arms crying. "Gideon!" She said, burying her head in his chest as she sobbed. "Angel took me down here and Troy said I was going to be his wife!" She said, sobbing into his chest still. She had her arms wrapped around his neck and then looked to her brother Andrew that put his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine Andrew, Really. But we have to leave. Their both planning something dangerous and it's best that we don't stick around.." She whispered, taking both their hands and leading them back upstairs. Tears still ran down her face as she led them into the living room where their bags were. "Did you guys find a way out?" She asked, but by Andrews shaking head, they hadn't. She sighed. "Well I think we shouldn't be alone at all in this house. You and Alice should stick together and i'll stay with Gideon. It's getting late . . . so how about we all rest up and then look for a way out in the morning?"

Andrew nodded, though not fully happy with the idea of his sister sleeping with Gideon. "Okay, That's alright I guess.. but somehow were leaving tomorrow." He said, grabbing his bag and then putting a hand out to Alice. "Which room do you want to sleep in? Mine or yours?"

Esmme 12-29-2011 04:31 AM

Gideon folded his arms around Scarlett as she fell upon him, holding her close and stroking her hair as she sobbed. When he heard what had happened, a darkness entered his gaze. You won't take her. They all headed back upstairs to the main room where Alice stood near the door, looking anxious.

"Oh, thank God!" The dark-haired woman stepped forward and gave Scarlett a light hug, relieved that she was alright. When she heard Andrew, she immediately took his hand in a firm grip. "Yours. Though I say we cover the mirror." Shuddering again, she let her golden eyes rest on her friend's calming gaze. "Tomorrow. Let's hope it isn't raining then."
They were all dripping water onto the floor, though it was Andrew who was leaving the largest puddle. "You need to change before you get sick," Alice prompted, reaching for her bag. "We'll see you two in the morning, then." Giving Scarlett a shaky smile, Alice started toward the hallway with their rooms. She waited for Andrew before actually moving out of sight.

-

Gideon wouldn't release Scarlett. Looking to Andrew, the dark-haired male met his gaze steadily. I'll take care of her. Reaching for his bag, he slung it over one shoulder and then took Scarlett's as well. It was a bit unwieldy, but he would make it to the rooms.
"Tomorrow we'll look again. Maybe we missed something."

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-29-2011 03:27 PM

Even though Scarlett tried her hardest to keep herself in line, she continued to sob as she stumbled up the steps. She was frantic, trying to open Gideon's door so that they could get away from all of this. Once her shaking hand finally latched around the door now she pushed the door open and stepped inside, turning around and helping Gideon with the bags. "I'm sorry.. i really shouldn't be crying like this.." She said, biting her bottom lip. She put her hand on the side of Gideons face. "Oh, your soaked! You should probably take a warm shower and change." She said, her green eyes looking deeply into his. "Thank you for not leaving without me."

Andrew led Alice upstairs and into his room. "I think I'm going to take a hot shower. You can join me if you'd like." He said, knowing he'd rather not be alone for anything at the moment. He sat their bags on the floor by the closet and covered the mirror with the sheet off his bed, though he left the comforter for them. Andrew pushed their bags under the bed and then stood up straight, stretching his arms. He pulled off his soaked shirt and hung it up in his bathroom, then stripped down to his black boxers. "To make things less akward for you I'll keep my shorts on if you want." He smirked.

Esmme 12-30-2011 05:46 AM

"It's okay," the tall youth replied, and he looked back to Scarlett once the bags were taken care of. They were in his room again, and for once it was almost a comfort. "It isn't bad to cry." That's when she reached up to touch his face. Gideon's expression softened, but no blush followed the action. He covered Scarlett's hand with his, pressing his cheek against her touch. "I'm fine. It's not that cold."
Still . . . a warm shower sounded wonderful. Warily looking toward the adjoined bathroom, Gideon frowned. Upon seeing that Scarlett was looking at him, they held gazes for many moments. Her words carried a heavy weight as she spoke, and he felt his emotions rising to meet her gratitude. "I would never abandon you." His cold hands slowly moved to cradle Scarlett's face, and he leaned forward as though to kiss her . . . but he paused and drew her into an embrace instead. "I'm not letting you out of my sight while we're here."

When he pulled away, Gideon looked toward the bathroom again. "I should change." He stepped toward his things, pulled out a dry black shirt and pants, and then moved toward the bathroom. Hesitating, he wondered if he should ask Scarlett to sit in the bedroom to wait, or come with him. "Would you mind . . .?" Luckily there was a curtain between the shower and the other areas of the bathroom . . . but still.
-

Closing the door, Alice looked down at her soaked form. "I don't know, Tiger." She shivered lightly, thinking of how nice it would be to take a hot shower. "I'm thinking . . . hot shower versus being left out here alone." Considering for a few moments, she nodded. Wiping a damp bit of hair from her face, Alice watched as Andrew's damp shirt stretched taut over his chest. "Deal. Keep clothing on, get warmed up." With a nonchalant shrug that seemed almost forced, Alice moved to the bags that Andrew had stashed under the bed.

She avoided looking in the mirror's direction, even though it was covered. That thing was too freakish to think about. Since she'd been ready to swim, Alice still had her white and gold bikini on under her coat and pants. "Wipe that smirk off your face!" She threw her wet pants at him, laughing nervously as she was rewarded with the wet sound of dripping denim hitting the male's back. "I know you're just too scared to be alone in there."
Honestly, so was she. Alice moved to turn the water on, smiling as she felt the water. It heated up rather quickly. Even though the bathroom had a mirror, she forced her gold eyes away from it. She didn't want to think about what she might see looking back at her.

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-30-2011 03:08 PM

"I wouldn't mind." She said softly, her eyes still on him. How about you go get in the shower and i'll go grab Tali from the attic. Then when I come back i'll just sit in there with you so neither of us have to be alone." She said, glancing to the door that led to the hallway. "It will only take a few moments.. And I can handle myself." She said, winking at him with a playful smile on her face.

She quickly embraced Gideon back and then gently released him. "Once your ready for me to come in and sit just leave the door open or something." She said, turning and opening his door to the hallway. They had forgotten to bring Tali back downstairs with them earlier and even though she wasn't real, it still felt like they were abandoning a poor, innocent kitten. She ran to the end of the hallway and opened the door for the attic, smiling since Talis little kitten figure was meowing and coming down the attic stairs to her. "Aww, Hi baby!" She said, waiting for Tali to come down all the steps. Scarlett then picked her up and nestled her against her breasts as she would a real kitten. She then stood up and went out of the attic, shutting the door.

She smiled down at Tali as she made her way back to Gideons room. Once there she opened the door and found that he was in the bathroom, but since she didn't know if he was ready for her to come in or not she just laid with Tali on the bed after shutting his door back. "Your such a cute kitten.." She whispered, kissing Tali's forehead that felt so lifelike. She glanced towards the bathroom, knowing that after Gideon took his shower she was going to take one as well to get the touch of Angel and Troy off of her.

Andrew was smirking but had his back turned when the went pants collided into him. He chuckled, turning around as they smacked the floor. "I know, I don't want to be alone.. But I think you just wanted to see my abs." He flashed his pearly whites, glancing down at his tan, well taken care of body. He had a tattoo of a wilted rose and his mothers name just over his heart. It was black, and the writing was cursive.

He pulled the shower curtain back, turning away from Alice so she could see all the muscles tighten in his back from turning the shower on hot. Now Andrew wasn't the type of guy ripped with muscles, just tall, thin and the average muscles for a man that worked out a great deal. Andrew didn't work out, but due to his many labor filled jobs he worked his muscles greatly. He turned back to Alice, his blonde hair stuck to his hair, partially covering his eyes. He let a sigh escape his lips and then he stepped into the shower. "Coming?" He asked, moving so that there was room for her.

Esmme 12-30-2011 06:18 PM

Gideon waited by the door when Scarlett had gone. He didn't like her going off on her own, even if the attic wasn't far from the rooms. Just when he was about to head out after her, he heard Scarlett returning. That was when he turned and headed for the bathroom, taking a towel down from the shelves nearby. Once the door closed, Gideon relaxed. He glanced out to make sure Scarlett was alright before stepping into the shower.

Tali purred, kneading Scarlett's clothing as she was stroked and cuddled. The black cat mewled softly when Scarlett whispered to her, and promptly bumped her head against the nearest hand. She seemed to have forgotten that she was left behind in the attic already.
-

"Abs? Hm. What abs would those be?" Looking fiendishly innocent, Alice tilted her head in thought. She couldn't help but smile when the water began to steam up the mirror. "Absolutely coming." The female stepped in and shook her now-wet hair from her face. "This isn't anything different. The only thing is . . . the waters warmer, and we aren't swimming in it." Still . . . you didn't usually swim without clothing. This had different implications.

Alice swiftly doused her head and made sure that it was pulled away from her sharp features, enjoying the feel of complete warmth as it rained down about them. "Gideon seems to be getting along with your sister pretty well," she commented, blushing a bit when she bumped into Andrew's bare stomach. He was right: she'd enjoyed seeing his abs. The thought made her features darken further, and she swiftly focused on the water once again. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say they're more than 'just friends' already."

Katie Scarlett Divine 12-30-2011 08:03 PM

Scarlett smiled and patted Tali's head. "I'll be back in a little while Tali." She said, standing up after sitting the kitten on a pillow. She went over to the bathroom door and knocked gently. "Do you want me to come in now Gideon?" She asked, not wanting to just walk in and him not even be in the shower yet. She went back to her suitcase and grabbed the things she would change into and use when she took her shower after Gideon too his, then wrapped it in her dark red crimson towel and sat it on the bed.

Andrew grimaced. "Please don't say that.." He said, putting his hand on his heart and acting like it was bursting. "I'd rather think that my sister hasn't even had sex yet. And I really don't like to imagine her making moves on Gideon.." He said, sighing as he ran his hands through his hair with shampoo. He grinned when she blushed. "Too much man for you?" He asked slyly. He looked down at his mothers name, Nicole stamped across his heart. "Just so you don't think I have a girl back home, I got this tattoo when my mother died."

Esmme 12-30-2011 08:28 PM

Gideon heard the knock, and he willed himself to reply. "Now's fine," he called out, pulling the curtain more thoroughly closed.

As she was placed on the pillow, Tali meowed in disagreement. She padded after Scarlett as she gathered her things, and then headed for the bathroom when she heard Gideon's voice. By the time Scarlett moved into the bathroom, the kitten was sitting with her head tilted and watching the curtain for any sign of movement.
-

Alice laughed when she saw the expression on Andrew's face. "I'm just saying that Gideon seems sorta odd." With a shrug, she moved on to take the shampoo as well. "Too much?" She scoffed. "Please, no!" She then flicked a bit of foam at the male, scrubbing her own body with the shampoo and soap.
Listening to his explanation of the tattoo, the dark-haired woman nodded. "Good thing you explained," she said, poking the cursive scrawl, "or I might have been jealous." Seeming eager to finish, she rinsed herself off and shook more water from her face. "I suppose we'll have to think about something else to do while we're waiting for morning. No swimming for us."

She suddenly stepped out of the shower, wringing what water she could from her short hair. Her towel was within reach, so she had no trouble snagging it. The warmth of the bathroom made her breathe deeply. "Does it seem strange that I don't really feel like leaving? I mean, I want to ditch this place, but I kinda like you guys."

Andrew frowned. "Yeah, I'm gonna miss you too. And even though I don't know Gideon that much I'm sure he's a nice guy.." He said, rinsing his hair and body off and then stepping out of the shower. He turned the water off and wrapped a towel around his waist.

"You know we could always stay here for a little longer and if anything else happens then we'll leave.." He said, not yet ready to leave Alice. He dried himself off and threw the towel in the hamper. He went over to his suitcase and pulled out a black tee shirt and fresh gray boxers. He then went into his closet and changed. He opened the door, throwing his wet boxers in the hamper and then going over to the bed. He fell onto it and smiled over at Alice, patting the spot next to him. "Hopefully nothing else bad happens so we can stay together a little longer.." He said, looking at her from the bed.

Scarlett came into the bathroom, laughing at Tali. "Aww, Tali's watching the curtain." She giggled, kneeling on the floor and sitting with Tali so that she could pet her. "It's gonna suck not seeing you or Tali anymore once this is all over.." She said, frowning. "Your truly the most amazing man i've ever met. Who in this world could ever be smart enough to create a pet kitten!? And your handsome too." She laughed.

"Oh.. when your done with your shower would you mind if I took one?" She asked, her green eyes darting to the outline of the figure in the curtain, then glancing back down to the floor.

"I don't know," Alice said, changing as quickly as she could. When they were both dry and warm, the girl moved to sit on the bed. "Staying sounds . . . dangerous." With her golden eyes narrowed, she bumped her arm against his. "Do you really think it's wise? We can find a hotel or something." Shrugging, the woman then sighed. "I guess . . . let's just talk to the others in the morning. We'll see." Maybe . . . maybe there was something in their drinks that was tweaking with their heads. It had been an awfully long time since they'd had their cider, though. . . .

With a frown, Alice rested her head on the male's shoulder.

"Watching the curtain?" Gideon frowned, rinsing himself off. "I know that tactic. I usually put her outside the door when I do this." He knew to expect his feet being attacked by a ball of fur and claws. Tali always launched herself at whoever was "behind the curtain." It was a habit she'd gained from cat-like protocol.
Tali's purr grew louder as she was stroked, but her saucer-like gaze remained locked on the unmoving curtain.

There was a long silence after Scarlett mentioned how she thought of Gideon. The water ran for a few more moments before shutting off completely, and Gideon's hand moved to snag the towel on the rack. "Do you really think that?" he asked, drying himself off behind the cover of the curtain. After wrapping the towel about him, he moved the curtain aside and took a step toward his clothing. He was so intent on what Scarlett had said that he forgot about Tali. Pinpricks exploded all around his ankles as the cat attacked his feet. "Tali . . ." He nudged her away with one foot . . . and then reached down to pick her up. Somehow he ignored the claws and fangs that attached themselves to his arm.

He looked at Scarlett for a long moment before feeling a blush spread over his features. "I've never heard that before." He turned his gaze away, clearing his throat. "If you want to take a shower, go ahead. There's more than enough hot water here." Where he came from there was hardly enough hot water to take one shower, let alone more than two.
Carefully setting Tali on the counter, he let the cat jump down and trot about to explore the new splatters of water near the shower curtain. "I . . . don't really want to go home." He would miss Scarlett once this was over. Even though they'd only known one another for a single night and day, it felt like far longer. This girl was precious. Whoever she married would be a lucky man.

Scarlett nodded, watching Tali attack his foot. "I really do think that Gideon. Whoever you end up with is very lucky." She said softly, standing up so that she wouldn't be in his way. At his words of hot water her green eyes lit up. "Oooh good! Where I come from theres only hot water for about ten minutes, then right when your shampooing your hair it gets freezing." She smiled, waiting until Gideon went into the bedroom before shutting the door a little. She left it slightly ajar. "Once i'm in the shower you can come in here and sit if you'd like.." She said, glancing to the slightly opened door. She began to undress, knowing that from where he stood he wouldn't see her. Once she was nude thats when she remembered where her clean clothes and towel was. . .on the bed.

She blushed bright red, peeking her head out the door using one of Gideons shirts to cover her ample breasts so that when he brought her the clothes he wouldn't see much. "Um, Gideon? Could you maybe hand me my clothes? There in that red towel on the bed.." Her blush grew. "Just so you know.. I really don't want to go home either." She said, her gaze resting on him. "Homes not a happy place, and the thought of never seeing you again scares me." She said, her gaze going to the floor. She never felt this way about people, ever. She had no girlfriends to chat with, only abusive - jerk boyfriends who thought they owned her. Back home wasn't a good place to be.

Andrew nodded. He snaked his hand into hers. "But wherever you go I promise i'll follow." He said, his gaze falling on her for a moment before laying his head on his side of the beds pillow. He then released her hand and got under the comforter. Since both of his lamps were on the room was fairly bright. "You know.. California is a long way from Florida." He said, a slight frown on his fine lips. "It's a shame this place is haunted. If it wasn't we could probably stay here much longer than the time were getting paid too. The only reason this house isn't for sale is because no one will buy it." He said, sighing.

"I really do think that Gideon. Whoever you end up with is very lucky."
The male kept his brown eyes on the cat that tried to consume his bare arm. He felt his face darken further, but he said nothing. That was when Scarlett stood and (thankfully) changed the subject. Gideon smiled a bit. They were both spoiled with extra hot water, it seemed. Taking his dry clothing, he brushed wet hair away from his face and carried Tali toward the bed. "I'll wait until you are settled," he said, glancing back over his shoulder to find the door cracked.
Just as he'd released Tali (who happily went about to find a place to lay down), he heard Scarlett's request. "Of course," he said, gathering her clothing and towel. When he went to hand them to her, he swallowed thickly. He recognized the material she clutched to her, and it wasn't helping his thoughts stay in line. The way she looked down with a depraved look set his body on fire.

Swiftly handing the red towel and her belongings over, Gideon frowned and forced his eyes back to her face. "We will figure it out," he said quietly, knowing that he felt the same way. He didn't really want to think about losing Scarlett so soon.
Stepping away from the door, he sighed. "I'm getting dressed. I'll sit where you were sitting when I'm finished." With a final glance to the mostly closed door, Gideon shook his head and gathered his clothing. When he was dressed in loose-fitting black pants and a dark crimson long-sleeve shirt, he knocked softly on the bathroom door. He could hear Scarlett in the water already, so he stepped inside and hung his damp towel on the rack.

Letting his eyes move over the curtain and the vague figure there, Gideon almost stumbled over Tali as she moved to sit in front of the shower. Figures. The male sat down in the corner of the room (there was a shelf-like nook there where Scarlett had been sitting earlier) and began to mess with the strip of fabric that covered his wrist. It had been mostly unnoticeable due to the fact that he wore longer sleeved shirts and gloves, but there was a mark underneath the red fabric. A strange black line went all around his wrist . . . and if you looked closely, you could see something metallic glinting inside that mark. It was as though he was hurt, and beneath the skin was something different than bone.
Grimly taking off the glove, Gideon gazed upon his flexing fingers for a moment. He'd partially reconstructed them out of the same mechanics that had made Tali. It was one reason he had gotten so adept at working with machines: it had been necessary. Looking up to the curtain again, the youth slid the glove back on and retied the fabric in place. He left his shoes on the floor, though, for he knew they wouldn't be running around the house much. He also left his coat in the room, and the fabric he usually used to keep his hair back was with it. Gideon looked . . . relaxed. Leaning against the wall beside him, he let his gaze linger on where he knew Scarlett to be.
When he thought about what she'd said, his brown eyes filled with sorrow. "It scares me, too," he whispered, not planning on having her hear him.

(( Sorry, but I've been oogling over pictures like a fan girl recently. Gideon. Sheesh, silly Es. Gideon again. :3))

"Yeah. California is across the country from Florida." Alice felt her hand tingling where Andrew had held it. Slowly laying down on top of the blankets, she sighed and looked him in the eye. "I suppose it is hard to sell a home where the inhabitants keep dying. Very unfortunate."
Watching how his lips moved, Alice slowly reached forward to touch them. "I'd stay here for a lot longer than we're being paid for if only we weren't being attacked by freaks."

From Scarlett sitting where Gideon was now, she knew that he could see that outline of her body. She had seen his. Strong, muscular, handsome.. She shook her head gently and lifted her arms to put shampoo and conditioner in it. She didn't even bother telling him to come in, because she really didn't care if he ended up seeing her. She had sat her clothes on the counter by the sink and was humming slightly. She looked down, seeing cute little Tali watching the curtain.

She kneeled on the shower floor, making her hand jostle the curtain. She giggled as the Kitten pounced towards the enemy, but Scarlett had already withdrawn her hand so Tali found nothing but air. She then stood back up, wondering if Gideon was staring at her the way she had eyed him. After rinsing out her hair and then washing her body with a vanilla coconut shower gel she ran her hand over her left leg. She had shaved yesterday so thankfully her legs were still gorgeously smooth, and her underarms the same. She looked down at her chest, puzzled how the words written by Angel all over her body had mostly disappeared.

She turned the water off and snaked her hand out from the curtain to grab her red towel she had hung on the towel handle before getting in. She wrapped it around herself and then stepped out, grinning when the kitten attacked her foot. Of course the little nails hurt, but not to the point of bleeding. She moved the kitten a little with her right foot and pushed her gently towards Gideon. "Once I dry off and get dressed i'll be in the bedroom any minute. Kay?" She said, smiling and then starting to dry herself off without dropping the towel around her. Once Gideon was out of the room she slipped on her black and red laced panties and matching bra (Both had a cute little red bow in the middle) and then her black nightgown she wore the previous night since she had changed to go outside with Gideon. She dried her skin off, then put her hair in her towel and wrapped it up to dry her hair. Once it was semi dry she ran a brush through it and then grabbed her dirty clothes and exited the bathroom. She out her dirty clothes in her suitcase and then went over to the bed, sitting by Gideon.

When Alice touched his lips he sat up, leaned over and touched his lips to hers. "We'll figure something out. I don't think anyone in this house want's to part ways with the other. So maybe we can all figure out a way to stick together. We'll discuss it with the other two in the morning..." He said, his green eyes staring at her. He grinned slightly. "You know you can sit under the blankets silly, I won't bite." He paused, "Unless you want me too." He said, raising his left eyebrow with a devilish grin.
