Jamila looked at Nick and then shook her head. "I don't know, but I do know that he would never ever let someone elsetake his problems for him. Nathaniel is a little angel, even if he thinks he's a curse." she said softly with care and took Nick to the living room where all Nathaniel's brothers awaited, as well as Yuki and Ibony. They looked up at their mother and then soft whimpers and wines came from them. Nathaniel's father was even crying in anger and sadness in the corner. Gently setting Nick upon the couch she looked at her strong boys and her eyes grew sad. "Why do they always try to kill Nathaniel when he comes home?" Yuki finally whispered, and all the wolves seemed to look somewhere other then Yuki and Jamila, the hurt obvious in their faces. "Shapeshifters are said to be created primarily to be a curse upon people.... They were made to kill and reap havoc upon the Earth.... Many of the countries of old here on this continent reject shapeshifters completely.... They are thought to be monsters and to be killed upon sight..." she whispered and then looked down ashamed. "When Asim came back with Nathaniel, I thought it was a curse.... I was so angry, so ashamed that he was not my son that it tore at my heart..." Jamila whispered and Asim walked over and wrapped his arms around his wife tightly. "It was not your fault...." he whispered and Adim looked up. "We all shunned Nathaniel.... We didn't know what to do, he couldve hurt us at any second in our minds... That and he brought dishonor in our eyes as well..." he said and the other brothers nodded, Yuki seemed to be slowly soaking everything in. "I even tried to convince Nathaniel that I was his mother, I tried to even rename him.... But nothing would sway him.... It wasn't until our family got split up at the pyramids, and robbers took Dustan and Nathaniel before we all realized thst he was truely part of the family. "Nathaniel hid me... Whenever the rubbers would come, and when they were to beat me he shifted himself into me, and took all the beating himself.... While iworked on clawing our way out of the cell..." Dustan whispered and shuddered. "We all realized once we had gotten them back that Nathaniel wasn't a curse, he was an angel... And we've been caring for him so tenderly ever since... But no matter how hard we try, the people here are so deep in old beliefs that they still treat him as a monster..." Jamila whispered wnd Yuki nodded. "I wish they would stop..." Yuki whispered and they all nodded. "We all do."

Liz looked at Liv and nodded. "Please start cleaning the wounds, Flurr get me about ten sets of needles and threads to stitch him... We need to work fast... If we don't his speeded healing with make all of these scars." she said and worked swiftly, whipping down her brother's arm before taking a needle offered by Flurr and began to gently inject numbing adjent into the wound before starting to sew up the big long open wound. You could see all the teeth holes where he had been bitten as well, it was utterly scarey.

Nickoli seemed to smirk and looked away from the group as he heard the story. "So after the pain, after you already taught him that he was a curse upon your house..That is when you accept him. I bet that surprised the hell out of him." He said his voice heavy with anger. "Wolves are very proud creatures aren't they? Why do people think its ok to show affection after the damage is done? You train them all their childhood that they are a curse, an abomination, proof of a scandal, and then because of this they would rather them be destroyed than someone that you love and care for. That is what happened there." He said harshly. "For whatever reason, love, care, perhaps fear of what would of happened if he was the only to return, A mixture of all the above he put himself in the position to be killed so you wouldn't have to deal with the shame anymore. You taught him that, and hints of it carry on today, no matter what you do that scar that you caused him is always going to be there. But its ok, you fixed it by showing him how much of an angel he is now. I wonder why he hates himself." Nickoli shook his head.

Livianna did as she was told pausing only when she heard her brother's voice. "NICKOLI! Stop scolding them, your not helping anything!" She yelled. Nickoli sighed and just sat there. "I don't hear an apology!" Nickoli smirked. "She's a friggen nazi." He muttered. "I'm sorry for going off I don't understand and I get judgmental when I don't understand." He said. "LIKE YOU MEAN IT!" Nickoli growled in her direction.
"I am very sorry for being such a jerk." He said to them sincerly. "Normally I'm not set off like that." He added.

All of the family seemed to flinch back at Nick's words and only Jamila responded once Nick had appologized. "Its something we don expect many to understand.... But I thank you for watching out for my son and step daughter.... Things here are much better then before, but for them, nothing will ever be perfectly good." she spoke softly and Liz walked in. "Nathaniel is sleeping and all patched up... But I'm going to need one of you to re-dislocate my shoulder... It healed wrong." she whispered wnd pulled her bandage away to reveal her arm hanging at a horrible angle. The wolves all gasped and sucked in breathes of shock. Her speeded healing had moved so swift that she couldn't put it back in right. No one seemed to even want to touch her, afriad she woukd break on contact as they all stared dumbfoundedly at the arm.

Nickoli nodded some. "I don't understand the cause, but I do understand the effects." He muttered before Liz walked in. Looking at his shoulder he made a face. "OW." He said getting up on his own accord. Walking over he looked at her. "Livi, you fix this and I'll keep her attention." He said and Liv hopped over looking at it. "Uh...yeesh." She muttered putting her hands on the shoulder. "No biting." She warned before she dislocated the shoulder again and realigned it. After all she was, once upon a time, going to school for this stuff. "Sorry Liz!" She said sadly but no one else was going to help her.

While Liv worked Nickoli looked at Liz, "So how does it feel being the most ravishing lady in the building?" He asked like a news reporter. He was just acting wacky to keep her from looking at or paying much attention to Liv.

"Whatever Nick-" Liz started and then growled in pain and doubled over before slowly standing straight again. "Thanks guys..." she whispered softly and Dustan nodded to the twins who went to get Nathaniel and then laid him on the couch. He was out cold and sewn up well, and his advanced healing was taking care of it all. "Im sorry we have not been good hosts... I think it would be smart if everyone went to bed early." Jamila said softly on the verge of breaking down as the family members nodded and dispursed slowly. Waiting and watching confused Liz then rounded on Nick and raised an eyebrow. "What happened? Jamila is never near crying unless someone brought up memories of Nathaniel when he was two." she said and then seeing Nick she swore and put her hand on her forehead. "Okay, from now on let's not bring it up. This whole family regrets how they treated Nathaniel... And Nathaniel had forgiven them a long long time ago." she said snd then smiled at him softly. "Theres nothing we can do.... Nathaniel won't ever be a whole person anymore.... But he does his best..." she said snd then looked at Nick and giggled. "Lets get you to bed big boy, and Liv I'll meet you in our room." she said as she took Nick's hand and led him up the stairs.

Livianna nodded and just looked around. She hit her brother lightly before rolling her eyes. "No funny business you two!" She called after them. Waiting for them to head upstairs she walked over and sat next to Nathaniel for a few minutes. "I wish I could tell you more about my life, all of mine and Nickoli's secrets. Then maybe it wouldn't seem like I have a burden to protect yours, cause you'd be protecting mine. But alas those are secrets that aren't only mine but his as well. Its not fair to tell them to anyone with out permission." She said before she turned facing him. "You took quiet a pounding today. I'm sorry you had to come back here, to all these memories of pain, to the people who hate you. I'm glad at the same time though because your family missed you." She said with a soft smile. "I really wish I had a staff or something then I'd smack those jerks right over the skull." Shrugging some. "Your not a curse, your just a bundle of different." She said smiling again before standing up. "Sweet dream Nathaniel." Walking up to the room her and Liz were sharing she quickly got her things back in their boxes.

Nickoli raised an eyebrow. "Yes, ma'am." He said with a grin before following her up stairs. Ignoring his sister. "I don't like how moody I am." He muttered. "Please tell me that's all a side effect of the wolf." He practically begged before smiling. "Are you ok?" He asked reaching up and rubbing her shoulder very lightly afraid he'd hurt her.

Nathaniel had been slowly coming consiousness as Liv talked and acted like he was sleeping till she left. When she did tears of releaf and happieness fell from his eyes as he remained still upon the couch, the pain still pounding threw his body. "Thank you Liv... For exsisting..." Nathaniel whispered softly to himself before slowly closing his eyes and begining to drift into a dazed sleep once more, trying to illude his pain.

Liz smiled and chuckled hearing Nick and smiled as she opened up the guest room for Nick to stay in. "Yeah it's a side affect, agression and anger come alot easier to wolves since they are protective by nature. If you want to understand how the family here works more I would advise you to study up on wolf habits out of the books in their library... Or just ask me." she offered and then feeling the soft shock of Nick's touch she slowly looked up into his eyes. "Truthfully...?" she whispered softly, as if embarrassed to reveal the truth. "Yes... It hurts a bit... But it feels alot better then when it healed wrong..." she said softly and then smiled up at Nick bravely. "Ive had worse. Luckily what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?" she offered, trying to not make Nick feel bad for realgining her shoulder.

Nickoli nodded. "I will do that. Reading is something I like to do, second to working." He said with a smile. Then he looked at her sadly. "Yes, I suppose, unless it impairs you for life. Which would such but I've seen happen." He said with a deep sigh. Smirking some he looked through his stuff and pulled out a heat pad, "Sleep on this tonight, it should help." He offered before running his hand through his hair. Taking off the shirt from earlier he looked at his arm. "Dose this heal fast?" He asked trying to see the damage to his tattoo. "I'm going to have to redo my ink." He muttered with a slight poutty face. Grabbing out another shirt and a pair of pants for the next day he laid them at the end of his bed.

Liz looked at Nick and laughed softly as he complained about having to redo his tattoo and then shook her head. "Actually let me check your shoulder." she said and gently pushed his chest so he would sit. Her hands being careful and light her finger tips brushed over his chest to his bandages and then gently pulled some away. She smiled and then pulled the rest if the bandages away to reveal his skin perfecting healed. "Theres no place where your tattoo didn't heal right." she said lightly and smiled up a him, a blush invading her cheeks as she realized how close they were.

Nickoli watched her as she check his arm adoringly. In surprise he looked down at his tattoo and ran his hand over his skin. "That's really creepy." He said with a soft chuckle. Looking at her he blinked some. "Your cute when you blush." He said softly reaching over and pushing her hair out of her face. His hand retreating to his side slowly as he looked at his tattoo for a sliver of a second to force down a blush of his own.

"Kinda." Liz agreeded softly with Nick's creapy comment and then looked at him a bit surprised at his next words. Putting a hand on her cheek she blushed a bit deeper and then smiled slowlyseeing he was blushing too. "You look good with a blush too." she said lightly, a bit teasingly. Her fingers then softly reached out, brushing his jaw and her eyes softened. "Im happy that you're okay.... I was really worried for you." Liz whispered softly and looked into his handsome face as she seemed to gravitate closer to Nick. Her bright blue eyes were soft and her features were softened as well. Her fingertips gently traced his ear and followed a strand of his hair, her eyes never leaving his eyes though, and she bit her bottom lip subconsiously.

Nickoli laughed some. "Ah, you noticed." He said simply. Trying to hold back some odd want to lean down and kiss her. Smiling some he motioned towards the door. "Livianna is scared of the evening once the sun is down it scares her." He said simply. "You should probably go make sure she isn't trying to commit some weird ritual to appease the gods." Nickoli joked.

A bit dishearted that Nick didn't lean in and kiss her Liz smiled anyway and nodded. "Right. We don want her accedentally burning down the house." she commented lightly and then giggled. "Well goodnight then Nick, I'll see you in the morning." she said lightly and with a swift movement pecked his lips with a kiss and walked out the door. Her lips titled slightly and she felt giddy after kissing Nick. She soon found Liv and smiled widely, luckily she was in their room. Closing the door behind her Liz stripped off her shirt carefully, her shoulder still a bit tender as she smiled seeing the blow up mattress on the floor. "Do you want the bed Liv?" she asked, changing out of her bra and pulling on a silken night gown and pulling off her pants after that.

Nick smirked some at the comment but was surprised by the kiss. Watching her leave he waited till he was sure she was out of hearing range and did a little fist pump dance thing. Sighing he walked over and laid down in bed stairing at the ceiling with a huge, ear to ear, grin on his face.

Livianna was sitting between boxes of her stuff half asleep clutching her purse and teddy bear. She had almost tazered poor Liz. "Oh, hey Liz." She said slipping the weapon back into her bag. "Um, no I'll sleep on the floor. Thanks though." She said. Livianna was already in her pajamas, nothing silky or pretty just a pair of gray pants that sat on the hips and a tank top. Pulling out a blanket and a pillow that looked more than worn, she laid it on the blow out bed. Grabbing a flashlight she fluffed her pillow and laid down. Like a little kid she snuggled down into bed and smiled sleepily at Liz. "So how is Nickoli?" She asked softly before a yawn escaped her.

Liz smiled and then gently put another blanket over Liv as she got out some blankets. "It gets quite cold at night Liv, so use those just incase." she said and hummed as she spred out two more blankets on the bed for herself before pulling them back snd climbing under snd covers and shivering. "He is doing very good. His tattoo wasn't messed up like he thought it would be and he is definately going to be ready to trying shiftig too." she added with a smile and then curled up in a ball. "I hate always being cold." she whispered annoyed as she hunkered down under her covers.

Livianna looked at the blankets and pulled them around her. "That's good. Nickoli was always quick to heal. Unlike me." She said with a slight smile. "Your in a very good mood." She noticed before hearing the statment about being cold. "Indeed I hate that too its really easy to be cold." She said snuggling down before yawning. "Anyways I think I'm going to crash." Liv stated before drifting into a peaceful rest. Not to awaken till the next morning.

Liz just smiled as she heard Liv say that she seemed more happy. She giggled to herself mentally as she though of Nick's soft lips and then watched as Liv fell asleep. She then burried herself farther in her covers and fell asleep swiftly after her new friend. The morning came swiftly and Liz walked down the stairs softly and went to check on Nathaniel. Finding him curled up under blankets she frowned and met his eyes as he turned to meet her gaze. His eyes were a bit puffed wnd red, and fatigue lined his features. "Im sorry Nathaniel.... I forgot what last night was..." she breathed and knelt down and hugged him. "Its fine... I'll be okay..." he whispered as Jamila smiled at them coming from the kitchen. "Theres food on the table for the pack, they are scarfing it down, so if you want to eat with the girls yiu can wait for the next batch." she said and Liz thanked her before standing and walking to Jamila and speaking to her softly. The beautiful mother then came back to her small baby boy and sar on the edge of the couch and pulled Nathaniel into her arms. Whispering to him and telling him that everything was okay she kissed his face gently with love.

Nickoli woke up and stretched. Walking out of his room fully dressed he looked around getting used to the feel of his arm, it was still weird to him. Taking in everything he seemed to frown some when Livianna didn't appear near by. Walking over to Liv he said his greetings. "Good morning Liz, is my sister getting dressed or asleep?" He asked politely. His face cool and collective. Taking in a deep breath his eyes looked to the kitchen. "IS there food?" The new werewolf asked inching towards the dinning room kitchen area. He didn't want to be rude but he was starving.

Livianna was still sleeping snuggled in her blankets upstairs. You know being lazy, it was rare she got to sleep in these days. No school anymore, no job, nothing. No reason to get out of bed and no real reason to do anything. So she decided to stay in dream land, where she was busy as a bee for now.

Liz turned around and smiled, still dressed in her nightgown. The silk gently caught the light as she looked at Nick. "Liv is still sleeping, which I think she deserves after yesterday..." she said and then laughed lightly. "Yes there's plenty of food, the pack is already eating and the second batch is on the way, so if you want to eat now or later is up to you." she explained lightly and then hummed as she put the last of the warm crasssnts on the table. The boys thanked her and dug into them hungerily, there soft growls of approval filled the kitchen.

Nickoli nodded in agreement. Thanking Liz he walked over and started downing food with the rest of the pack. He tried to stay polite but he was starving. He enjoyed eating with Nathaniel's family they were just like having brothers. Laughing softly he enjoyed the peaceful, yet animalistic moment. His attention kept getting caught by the silky gown that kept Liz shinning, no really reflecting light off the cloth, it was rather, sexy.

Livianna got up and got dressed brushing her hair out. It fell around her face as she slid on her glasses. Looking around she made her bed then grabbed her bag and walking down stairs. Very slowly she blinked a few times and looked around. The pain from all the running, work, and fighting that yesterday held. Drained and sore still she sat on the stairs looking around. Liz was easy to spot and Nickoli was sandwiched at the table. Rubbing her eyes lightly she held in a yawn and just relaxed. Her head resting against the wall.

Liz keptthe food coming, pullig away empty baskets only to replace them with morefood. The wolves ate happily, not much said just eating and giving soft wolfish noises, as if relaying the message to eachother, which they were threw their mind link. Liz then smiled at Nick and tossed him another crossant and daintily bit into her own, her eyes closing as she chewed and steam rose from the warm pastry. She then smiled and returned to working, taking a few bites ofthe crossant here and there.

Nathaniel thanked his mother and then began to head for the stairs seeing Liv still practically asleep he smiled and gently pulled her into his arms. "You need more sleep." he saud lightly and walked up the stairs with her in his arms. He then walked into his room and set her on the blow up matters with her things. "My mom has a rule, if feeling tired and crappy you should take one day and sleep, and then the other day be a day where you slowly work into doing more of regular rutine. It's so you don't make yourself sick." he said softly and smiled down at her as he knelt next to her bed. "I can deliver your food snd talk to you after if you want." he offered.

Nick watched Liz and tried to keep thoughts out of his head. She was such a tease. Eating his food he tried not to get too distracted it wasn't easy to gather the food he needed to stop that stupid hunger pain. Despite his efforts though ended up getting very distracted eating only as much as he could before he caught a good look at Liz. Damn that little blonde. Why did she have to be so damn hot?

Livianna gasped some when she was taken upstairs by Nathaniel having to take a moment to realize who had grabbed her and what was going on. As she was laid back down Liv gave out a childish yawn. "That's a nice rule, I'm not used to not doing anything though." She said softly rubbing her eye. Smiling at Nathaniel she scratched her head some. "You seem much better since yesterday." Before he could say anything Livianna finally registered what he had offered. "Some food and company would be great!" She exclaimed, to tired contain her emotions.

Liz smiled and laughed hearing Jamila's little joke about her being a waitress instead of a nurse and she just shook her head, her face lit up with laughter. Taking another plate of food to the table she smiled seeing the boys seeming to slow down a little, except for Nick. She nodded and winked at him, as if to tell him it was alright to keep eating, before turning to Jamila and relaying the message. Jamila nodded and stopped giving Liz anymore food to put on the table and then began preparing the girl's food. Liz sat at the counter in the kitchen, her back to the boys at the table and sitting on a stool. Her dress rode up a bit but she didn't seem to notice or care as she helped make the plate of food for the girls look pretty and placed it out.

Nathaniel smiled softly and nodded. "I do feel much better today." he whispered and then chuckled hearin her outbreak. "As soon as mom calls for the girls to eat I'll go down and get us some food alright? I don't want one of my brother's biting my hand thinking it's food instead of me." he joked lightly and chuckled. He then watched the tired Liv with care as he knelt there. "My father went on patrol this morning, he said that there was no movement and no one was going to come to the house anytime soon. So you and Nick and Liz will all be very safe for awail." he said softly and smiled reasurringly.

Nickoli watched Liz and tried not to stare. Mowing down through the food that was left on the table he glanced up only to catch a provocative view of her. Almost dropping his roll he caught himself staring and cursed at himself for being rude. Pushing the thoughts out of his head he munched down on a few more things before quietly declaring he was finished eating. "Thank you for breakfast ladies." He said as he passed the kitchen with a bow of his head. Before heading up to check on his sister.

Liv laughed some. "That's not reassuring, what about you? Huh? Are you safe?" She asked tilting her head before yawning. "I don't want you getting hurt anymore, not on my behalf, or anyone else's. Its not your job to be broken for us. We aren't all as fragile as we seem." Closing her eyes she smiled to herself. "It is hard to hide scars from people who have scars. They are much more noticeable to us." She half whispered. "The task is not to hide them but to use them to move on." Her energy returning with the same enthusiasm from before.

Looking at Jamila who whispered in her ear Liz blushed and ducked her head as the girls laughed at her blush on her cheeks. She was so embarrassed and yet so excited that they said Nick had been staring. She had never met such a hot guy that was actually into her. It made her happy to know that there was one person who liked her that way in the world, so that she wasn't a complete weirdo. Jamila then called for the rest of the girls, and the young wolf happily flew into the kitchen and all the other girls laughed, she was just as enthusiastic about eating as the rest of the pack.

Nathaniel nodded with a smile and then kissed Liv's forehead. "Youre really too kind to a person like me Liv." he whispered and then hearing his mother call he stood. "Ill be back with food." he said and then walked out of the room and down the stairs passing Nick with a smile. He then asked his mother for a plate of food for both him and Liv and then walked back towards his room slowly, carrying the servin tray full of food and with a pitcher of sweet tea.
