As Amory slipped on into the kitchen, he spotted Seegra's figure cooking. His already warm smile brightened noticeably, a certain light catching in his eyes as he observed the other. However, as Seegra began to speak, the blonde paused mid-step. Stretching his arms out a ways, a small yawn escaped his lips before he sent a reply and a grin to the other, "Morning, Seegra." The words felt odd to say, his groggy thoughts swooping back to how they'd shared a bed the previous night. Then, of how he awake to find his arms outstretched into Seegra's empty part of the bed. "I slept well, did you?" he first asked, then bringing up the subject of the aroma in the room, "Breakfast smells good." However, compared to how he had felt about food the day prior, he felt a certain lack of enthusiasm in his stomach-- one that usually told him he was hungry. Now the itch in his throat took on similar duties, but it did nothing to react to the smell of eggs and toast in the air.
|
Seegra smiled while he went back to cooking the breakfast for the two of them. "Oh yes," said Seegra with a small chuckle as he smiled again as he turned his head again to flash the other a bright good morning grin. "I slept very well." He looked into Amory's eyes, noticing that the other still had some red tint to his eyes. He would need to feed on more blood. It would be a craving that would ebb away in time, but not right now since he had just been turned. "Sit down," said Seegra as he put the eggs and toast on a plate. "Breakfast is almost ready."
|
Amory leaned casually against the doorway now, watching Seegra cook with an almost studious expression on his face. His gaze was nearly trained upon the other's form, laden with the same mild curiosity he continued to regard him with. The responses he was given drew out a broad smile as he nodded slightly in acknowledgement and slipped away from his place against the doorway. "That's good," he trilled at first in reply to hearing that he had slept well, moving to seat himself before turning his head to regard the other once more, though in a more casual manner. Crossing his legs before him, he let his arms stretch out as another small yawn escaped his lips and he let his thoughts drift off to wonder what he might've been doing this time the morning before. Ordering a coffee, perhaps? Flipping through a linguistics textbook? A grin rose to his lips as he mused over that-- what he'd been learning for his minor, linguistics, had been one of the few things he had enjoyed about college. Yet, he found himself much more content with the idea of sharing breakfast with Seegra instead. "Do you cook often?" he then asked, wondering if this meant that they not only needed blood to survive.
|
Seegra glanced at the other as he made sure that they had everything that they would need at the table before he too sat down as well. Cooking often. It was true that he had cooked for himself in the past, but most of the time he didn't need to cook himself food because he didn't eat, and he had sustained himself on the blood of humans. However, he mostly ate food now to keep up appearances, especially when he was out in public. "I do like cooking. More so it is for you though," said Seegra as he took a swig from his water. "Your body isn't used to only surviving on blood yet, and it might never, but for the time being you need to supplement your blood drinking with food. So bon appetite."
|
Armory rested his chin gently upon the back of his hand that he had propped casually before him, head tilted slightly as he listened to the other's reply thoughtfully. It was an odd concept, but somehow understandable. His body was still human in matter of appearances, was it not? He could see why normal food would be necessary to sustain it. "I see," he replied after a moment, then grinning, "I guess that makes sense." he was about to go in for a bite of food when Seegra spoke again, explaining what he had been thinking about. What paused him from taking a bite, however, was the words the other had ended his explanation ith. Bon appetite. Déjà vu, mother would have said the same, he mused to himself for a moment before looking up at the other and nodding, "Merci beacoup, Monsieur." A warm smile swept over his face as he then proceeded to try the food set before him.
|
Seegra was glad that the other accepted his answer to his question. He didn't know the biology either, but he remembered that his sire had done the same thing for him when he was changed. It was so long ago, but it felt like it was yesterday. It might of well have been thought in vampire years, but that was indeed all in the past now. Seegra smiled when he heard the other's french. The other's accent was quite good actually. That was another thing he would have fun with. It was now his personal goal to teach the other male to read, speak, and write in Latin. They had all the time in the world, figuratively and in reality. Taking another sip from his drink he looked at the other and said,"I will be heading out afterwards to get some more blood to sustain you for the next few days. Do you need me to get anything from your home or your dorm room?"
|
The egg and toast, much to Amory's delight, tasted similarly to as they would if he were human. Yet, in a sick way, they didn't satisfy him. After his first bite, he came to this realization and concluded that food musn't truly be as much of a luxury to vampires as it were to humans. Given this, both encounters Amory had had with blood so far proved proved that it was a far more enthrallingl usury to behold than food had ever been-- an odd thought, now that he lulled that over. He was caught in his thoughts when Seegra spoke up, his gaze moving immediately up to the other as her blinked blankly up at him for a moment. Did he truly need anything? Why, he had none of his clothing, hygienic products, sketchbooks,.... Yet, did he need those things? After looking curiously over at Seegra for a moment in thought, Amory shook his head slightly, "No, there are a few things I'd like to collect eventually, but... None of which are truly important right now." Still, in appreciation of the offer, he'd offer a warm smile to the other as he then asked, "I'm assuming my feline friend will be back, then?"
|
Seegra nodded his head as he heard the other's response. He wasn't much for animals, but if he had to choose either a dog, cat, or some other animal he would have chosen the cat to take with him. Cats naturally were able to take care of themselves, unlike dogs or some other animals. "Alright," said Seegra as he stood up as he put his plate in the sink. He didn't want to dilly dally while the other male began to hunger for blood again. He had waited too long one time, and his new fledgling had become uncontrollable. He ended up needing to restrain the other before he could leave. "Well," he said as he walked across the room. "I want you to stay here, and in the mean time I will be getting you something a bit more filling to consume."
|
Amory would nod a little to himself as he thought of the cat from yesterday, finding he didn't mind the idea. The little creature could keep him company, no? That aside, he didn't mind ate in the least sense and had rather fancied having it around the other day. As the other stood abruptly, Amory's gaze followed him, taken back that he was leaving so soon. He had been enjoying breakfast with him, but he supposed he had much to look forward to when he came home. Blood, that was-- that thick crimson liquid that drove his thoughts into a muddled mess as it entered his mind. The itching in his throat took on a harsh scratching sensation that drew him to stop eating as his body stiffened the slightest bit. "Alright. Thank you, Seegra," he spoke up after a moment, his thoughts clearing from the sort of fog they'd been drawn into. Again he relaxed some, somewhat forcibly this time, but he managed it and finished his breakfast.
|
Seegra's rather sensitive hearing could hear the slight shifts of the other's chair as he moved around in it. "What is he doing," thought Seegra as he turned around to look at the other. He could tell from the look in the other's eyes that the other would be going into blood lust pretty soon. It was important that the other not get any further in that stage than necessary because that is what usually started rampages through cities to find blood. The last thing he needed to do right now, or ever is restrain his fledgling. "I'll be quick then," he said as he conjured up his familiar again. " If anything happens come and find me." The familiar nodded before bounding over to the other and jumping on the table. "Well take care then." With that being said he walked into the elevator before it slid closed.
|
( Sorry for the bit of delay, there. I'm glad Mene's back up now, though. )
Amory watches the other's familiar appear curiously, a smile gracing his features with a certain warmth as the cat jumped straight up to the table. Pausing in his meal, Amory looked up at the creature with a new curiosity. Just how had Seegra been able to make such a creature? It was adorable, but it perplexed him note that he knew that the creature before him was indeed not exactly the cat he'd believed it to be the other day. Reaching out to it slowly, he passed one of his hands gently down along it's back in a stroking motion. "See you later, Seegra," he spoke up after a moment as the other walked away, only then peeling his gaze from the cat to watch him leave. "You take care too," he offered with a small, somewhat goofy smile. He felt kind of silly, having to sit there and needing to be waited on like so. He only hoped Seegra didn't mind having to tend to him as he seemed to be doing well enough, in Amory's eyes. "Well, kitty, it's just you and me again," he spoke up softly after a moment, chuckling softly, then resuming petting the cat before him. |
((I know what you mean. Sorry for not replying. It's been hopping busy here. I know I am glad that mene is back as well. I didn't know where the server was so I was worried that it had gotten knocked out by the storm.))
Once outside Seegra let out a sigh. Being with the other male was by no means an unpleasant thing, but if he spent too much with the other male he would end up doing something with the other that he might come to regret. The again the other had shown signs of being physically attracted to him. Maybe he should try experimenting when he got home. First things first though he needed to get blood for his newborn fledgling, and that meant making a trip to the local blood drive. The city was rather large, and there were hospitals everywhere. So that meant that finding a place where blood was stored would not be a problem. Meanwhile, back in the penthouse the familiar let out a purr of complete happiness as it was stroked by the new fledgling. He loved being with its master, but if the other male was now his master as well then he didn't much mind. Especially if the other continued to show him affection like this. |
( I was kinda worried too. No problem about replying, it's understandable when things get busy and it wasn't much of a delay anyways. )
Amory looked on at the feline familiar fondly, his hand continuing its gentle stroking of its back for a few quiet minutes. He kept his thoughts to himself, letting th e idea of being so dependent on Seegra sink in. It seemed as if it should be expected in the circumstances but it irked him slightly nonetheless. How had he grown to trust him so swiftly? It was when his thoughts on the subject of Seegra took a turn to sensual side, the kiss from the day before and the idea that they'd shared a bed setting in, that his attention left the familiar that he'd been showering with attention. Standing from his seat, he gathered his plate and silverware to take to the sink. He'd wash what dishes were in the sink leisurely as he let his thoughts settle once more and a grin came to his face. Once finished cleaning the dishes and finding their appropriate places in the cupboards and such, Amory would make his way over to sit comfortably upon the couch and let his gaze trail over the room. Again his throat sent a scratching sensation down through his insides, this time causing a flash of discomfort to cross his face. One of his hands moving to his neck as if to massage out the feeling, he closed his eyes and forced himself to relax once more. It proved to be difficult, but he remained still upon the couch with his body eventually coaxed into relaxing. |
The familiar continued to purr as it was petted. It wished sometimes that Master Seegra had always been this nice to him. However, the other male never showed him very much kindness. That and he was too demanding, but this one was different. The familiar knew that he would be able to come to enjoy the other's company, especially if he was always this kind to him. The familiar watched him with his coal black eyes as he saw Amory head over to the kitchen. He inwardly smiled. The other male truly was a breathtaking sight. Once the other male was done with his task he settled onto the couch. The feline familiar came darting over to Amory, jumped up onto the couch, and then curled up next to the other.
Seegra, who was now outside in the harsh sunlight, dug through his pockets until he procured a pair of black sunglasses. Slipping them over his eyes he let his eyes adjust before he continued on his way. He was able to locate a hospital with relative ease. The city that they lived in was no stranger to crimes of all kinds, and with the crime came the need for doctors since there were injuries abound. Slipping passed the double sliding glass doors he managed to trance staff into thinking that he was a doctor there. It really was too easy. Going up the elevator he made his way down a few more halls before he came to a stop in front of the room where the blood was stored in cooling containers. |
(( Sorry for poofing, this past month had suddenly become very difficult and I was having problems getting back to people online to top that all off... If you don't mind, I'd be glad to get a reply up sometime today. If not I understand, and again I'm very sorry. ))
|
((Hey that's totally fine. I understand that things happen. Things that you can't, even if you want to, control. Take your time. I'd rather you feel better than force yourself to RP, and not getting better. Do what you gotta do)).
|
(( Ah, thank you for being understanding. I've been a bit better the past few days, so I've been trying to catchup with my RP's... I'll have a reply for you up sometime later today.))
Edit; Reply up!~ Once his mind was nearly cleared and the feeling of thirst aching in his throat began to subside once more, Amory let a soft sigh slip out from between his lips. One of his hands rose to brush upwards through his unruly morning hair and he came to the conclusion that maybe he should freshen up a bit. He had showered the previous night, but he certainly didn't want to keep up the just-out-of-bed look for the remainder of the day. That, and he suddenly became vary aware of his lack of a clean shirt. Looking down at himself for a moment of brief observation, he then let his gaze move on to the familiar that had come to keep his company. Amory let out a soft laugh as it curled up next to him, his hand leaving his own hair to move to stroke its side once again. "What shall we do?" he asked absent-mindedly, more to himself than the creature beside him, "It's not as if we're allowed to go outside." With that thought, his eyes flickered over to the windows, the blinds now closed. "More like, it's not as if I should be outside," he added in a later murmur. A soft trill left his pocket and he consequently removed his cell phone. Narrowing his eyes in slight confusion as he peered down at the screen, he opened the new message he'd just received. 'Bunking with the mysterious hottie? If you cared, you'd share.' A soft strangled noise sounded from his throat in a fit of surprise and embarrassment as he let his phone fall to his lap. "'Bunking with-'? Ah! Nnh-no, Alex," he grew a tad flustered, his eyes falling to trace the floor as one of his hands rose to his warming cheeks. "He must've seen us..." A few moments later, he shook his head a bit to himself and set his phone down as he rose to go freshen up. |
Navigating his way through the maze that was the hospital he finally found his intended destination. Slipping passed the door he entered the key code to access the treasures that laid inside. Glancing around he noted that he should have probably brought some kind of bag with him, since carrying back enough bags for Amory would be a rather hard thing to do. Since they would be staying there for at least a few more days if not a full week, and Amory, since he was newly changed, would require at least 2 if not three pints a day. He was really regretting not bringing some kind bag with him. Scooping some up in his arms he located a box of trash bags. They would do for now. Grabbing a few he began stuffing the bag full. Glancing down once or twice he did a mental count of how many he would need. He would need at least 20 or so. Hoisting the bag over his shoulder he walked briskly out of the freezer, and into the well lit halls of the hospital.
Once outside he began making his way back home wondering briefly on what the other male would be doing. He knew that he was probably going bat crazy because he would not be able to leave, but there were other things that Amory could do to occupy his time. The cat familiar looked at Amory through its yellow colored eyes as it flicked its tail back and forth. Jumping down from the familiar began following around the other male as he went from room to room, but stopped and gave the phone a glare when it went off. The familiar let out a small hiss and then continued to stare at Amory as he talked on the phone. It wasn't something that Master Seegra had said that Amory was not allowed to do, but it would now need to be stated. Amory would need to learn to abandon everything from his own life. He was an immortal now. An immortal who's biological clock had stopped, he would be watching his parent's and friends grow older, finally dying. Yet, he would still maintain his natural, young appearance. |
After the phone call, Amory would glance over at the cat oddly as he stood up. The hissing seemed uncharacteristic of the seemingly lovable animal-- had he done something? It was only a moment later when the insane itching in his throat peaked again and a flash of discomfort crossed his calm features that the familiar's actions became clear. "The phone call..." he murmured, then cringed, balling his hands into fists and flexing them on and off as he attempted to beg his body to relax. "I'm sorry, kitty. I understand. Shouldn't have done that... Wasn't thinking," he spoke softly through his discomfort, body tensing as he again looked down at his phone. The familiar had a point in hissing. By agreeing to allow Seegra to do this, he had agreed to letting all else go. This meant whichever few friends and distant family members that would try at contacting him would need to be forgotten. Picking up his phone and looking it over for a moment, he would walk to Seegra's room to freshen up, dropping it in the nearest trash can. I had always been annoyed by it anyways, no? Memories of the frustrating college board and his few distant yet nosy friends assured that thought in his mind as he undressed to shower.
The blonde took his sweet time in the shower though he had taken one just the night before. For some reason, the scalding hot water lulled him into relaxing and eventually settled the burning of thirst clutching at his throat. How does Seegra do it? He had a new bout of admiration for the man who seemed to have such control, adding to the mystery of the handsome, dark-haired figure he had met in the cafe just a couple of days ago. By now, he had assumed he would know someone more of him- and he would admit he knew a few details- but that didn't stop the allure. Brushing such thoughts from his mind, he bathed himself carefully before stepping out with a towel secured around his waist and his hair damp, yet not dripping. Walking about the penthouse casually, he decided to pick up a book he had found lying about. It didn't look like it was being read, so what was the harm? Snatching it happily, he would walk back over to the couch and lay back against the cushions, feet crossed before him as he began to read intently. |
Continuing down the hallway, he tranced everyone around him into thinking that he was a doctor still doing his rounds. Once outside he lowered it, and continued back to the penthouse where he knew Amory would be waiting patiently, albeit rather hungry. He knew that the other would be practically dying of thirst, but he would need to learn to curb it. He had done so for hundreds of years. That was one of the reasons he didn't end up with a stake through his heart, or his head decapitated off of his shoulders.
Walking through the doors of the hotel with his bags of blood he made his way over to the elevator. Swiping his card over the keypad the elevator hummed to life as it came shooting down to meet him. Getting into the elevator he pushed the button that would bring him back to his home. Leaning against the wall he let out a sigh. As he got closer and closer to his familiar he began to see what he had seen throughout the day. He was glad that Amory learned that he needed to give up his mortal life, and move on. He was not a mortal anymore. He then licked his lips as he saw that the other was just clothed in a towel. He made the familiar settle next to him on the couch as he peered at Amory thoughtfully. The familiar, hearing its master's orders leaped up onto the couch seat next to Amory, settled down, and the fixed Amory with a yellow eyed stare. |
Amory's eyes remained intently upon the pages of the book, gaze moving across them at a leisurely pace. When a drip from his hair managed to weave its way down his forehead, one of his hands moved up to wipe it away and run back through his drying hair. It was only then that he paused his reading and set the book face-down on his lap to keep the page open. Prying his gaze away from the book, he let out a soft sigh and relaxed himself as he sat there. It was proving to be a difficult wait for him, but to keep himself from thirst he pushed his thoughts elsewhere. He couldn't help but wonder where Seegra was. Had any problems arisen? That, and, how was it that he got the blood in the first place?
Plumping his mind full of other things, Amory let his gaze fall beside him to the cat familiar. Blinking in surprise at its yellow-eyed stare, he would then grin. "Know where he is?" he whispered to it, one of his hands reaching out to gently stroke its back. It was strange to feel the weight of the cat's stare on him. For what might've been the first time, it occurred to him that this cat was an extension of Seegra, so there was something that heavy gaze struck in him that he wasn't expecting. Still, an alluring scent brushed past his nose that alerted him to something nearing the penthouse. "Seegra?" he murmured, glancing at the elevator doors. |
((I forgot to mention nice avatar change))
The familiar continued to stare at the other male, and let out a small purr when he felt his head being patted. He got up and settled in the other's arms as it sat there lazily flicking his tail back and forth. The elevator reached the top floor, and even before the door opened his sensitive hearing picked up the others voice. Striding into the penthouse he waved his hand and the familiar disappeared from the other's grasp. Glancing over the other's body he let a smile crease his features as he said," How was your day?" He wanted to kiss and hug the other male, and do other things to him as well, however, he also knew that there were pressing matters to attend to, like feeding his new fledgling. Sitting the bag of blood on the table he opened it bringing out a package for the other male. "Here," he said. "As he held it out towards the other." He would have his own share soon of fresh blood, but for now he, too, would have to suffice with bagged blood. |
( Oh, thank you. :) Yours is pretty, as always. )
At the small purr that rung from the feline's throat, Amory let his smile flicker on and brighten easily. Looking down as it moved into his arms, he continued to pet it contentedly. Still, the scent of blood that had brushed past his nose was now unmistakable and it was evident to him that it was nearing. When the elevator door opened it was still a surprise to him that the familiar instantaneously seemed to vanish. This was his cue to look up at Seegra, however, and Amory was more than happy to see the smile drawn across the other's handsome features. While coming in with a proper greeting seemed instinctual to him, Amory found his senses were otherwise preoccupied with that entrancing scent that simply rolled off of his sire. It was nearly all he could do to even look over the other male with a smile and manage a reply, speaking almost hoarsely. "Welcome home," he began, still smiling warmly while his eyes roamed over the rest of the other, both to simply admire his form but also to let his senses find the source of the scent they were already so dialed in to, "My day has been alright so far, I've just been doing some light reading." As he was handed the bag of blood, he found he had to force himself to take it in a casual manner as opposed to snatching and downing the quantity of liquid in a rush. Having been able to coax himself to act casually was a surprise to him, but he nevertheless also took the extra moments to rip open the bag carefully and take a moment to return Seegra's question. "How was your day?" he asked, then took what was meant to be a small sip- but turned into a long, large drink- of blood. |
Glancing at the other male he walked over to him as he waved his hand. The familiar let out a small meow and then disappeared in a puff of silver colored smoke. He nearly jumped backwards when Amory lunged for the bags of blood that he had, but then he smiled when he saw him down the bag in his hands. Depositing the rest of the bags on the table he settled down next to the other male as he kicked his feet up. He silently mused over what the other had said. Did he enjoy his day? He was getting blood for his childe so that meant he was providing. He slowly nodded his head as he said,"I did enjoy my day. I trust that you enjoyed yours as well." He eyed the book that the other had near him, and he raised his eyebrow once he got a look at the title. Why was he reading a book about his ancestors and his lineage?
|
Amory was drawn swiftly into a bit of a daze by the bag of blood he drew from at a steady pace, though he fought to remain a civility that he had found he had almost too-soon forgotten. As Seegra approached, he found himself refraining from drinking and taking a few moments' pause to create a slower pace with the precious, crimson nutrients. His gaze faltered as he realized that he must've acted on the new, animalistic instincts, and he couldn't bring himself to look at his sire for a few minutes due purely to a spell of embarrassment. That was no way for him to be acting, and to act like that in front of Seegra? The shockingly handsome man that had shown him much kindness? Rubbing the back of his head shyly, Amory would only look up at the other again once he began to speak.
Hearing that he had enjoyed his day as well coaxed a small smile onto his lips again. "That is good to hear," he replied simply, with the same warmth he had at first spoken to Seegra with. While this cheerfulness had wavered after his turning, due mostly to his cravings, he could find ways to collect himself and maintain his naturally good nature. This was when he noticed the look crossing Seegra's face as he looked at the book he had chosen to read that day. Blinking in surprise, Amory would glance down at it quickly before shifting his gaze back up at him. "Oh! I found this book laying around, I hope you don't mind my reading it. It's a history of the Monaham line, it's... It's actually pretty intriguing," he explained with a grin, having enjoyed what he had read through so far. Yet, there was something he didn't understand about this book and the relation of it to Seegra. He hadn't a clue of what his last name was and that this was written of his family. As he took his next sip of blood - an actual sip this time!, much to his later satisfaction - Amory would rest his eyes upon Seegra casually, the same childish mix of curiosity and innocence again present in his gaze. |
