Wren watched almost impatiently as Den fumbled with the key before getting the door open. True moments ago he said Wren could crash there, but that hadn't been a real invitation. Not as far as the curse of vampirism was concerned. When Den invited him in, Wren shrugged slightly before he stepped into the house. Slight frown on his lips and his eyes on Den. "You'll be alright. Eat and drink something sugary to replenish your blood faster." He sounded almost annoyed as he spoke those words and then he stepped further into the house, leaving Den by the door so he could look over and explore the house. Maybe steal something else, something that wasn't as big as a car. Maybe.

PapillonCameo 10-26-2012 07:05 PM

The young man leaned against the doorway for a little while before shrugging and slamming the wooden barrier closed. Prudence wandered away, leaving Wren alone within the nearly empty home. A painting or two decorated the walls, mostly of seascapes, while furniture was rather sparse as well. In fact, there was only what was needed, nothing more and nothing less. The effort hadn't seemed like it was worth it.

The kitchen on the other hand was state of the art, even tough there weren't any ingredients to cook with. Den grabbed some bread and made a hasty tomato sandwich. Once that was done he sauntered back into the nearby living room and plopped down onto the couch with a sigh to munch upon his food.

Wren wandered around the house for a few minutes. Touching this or that but really there didn't seem anything worth taking. Nothing extra it was just full of the bare necessities and that annoyed him. When his exploration of the house finished, well mostly finished, he hadn't gone through the whole house. He returned to the living room and plopped down on the couch beside Den with a slightly annoyed look on his face. His nose wrinkled slightly in disdain. "What kind of house is this? There's nothing worthwhile in it." The vampire was almost pouting.

PapillonCameo 10-27-2012 05:38 PM

The blue haired man laughed at the sight of the vampire's disappointed expression. It was hard not to, considering how odd that was based on his earlier behavior. " Well I live here alone. There isn't really any reason to make this place pretty." Perhaps his life was just a little boring, but he rather liked it that way. Though of course, lately things seemed to have gotten a whole lot more interesting.

Kry 10-29-2012 06:14 PM

Wren stared at Den for a few moments, looking at the human as if he thought him crazy. Or at least weird. "Then why live in a big house?" Honestly it did seem rather weird to Wren, why have so much space and no one or nothing to put in it? The vampire shook his head and for a moment looked as if he was about to leave, it passed quickly. Once the leader of the coven found out he was still alive, surely the man or his lackeys would come after Wren, he really didn't have anywhere to go yet. No where safe. If he stayed here, the other vampires wouldn't be able to really get at him unless Den invited them in.

Wren was on his feet in a moment and then standing in front of Den. Another moment and the vampire was sitting in Den's lap, straddling him with his knees on either side of Den's thighs and his hands on the human's shoulders. He brought his face close to Den's. "I'm going to stay here, it'll be safer for me that way, and you are not going to rescind my invitation or invite anyone else inside, ever." His voice had gotten low, and his tone serious and almost dangerous. Then he was pressing his lips against Den's, kissing him almost gently and pressing his body against the human's for a few moments, then he pulled away. Watching Den for a reaction.

PapillonCameo 10-30-2012 03:53 AM

He looked away to avoid his guest's ruby eyes. There was no way he was going to try and explain why he'd bought the mansion. In fact, the young man was tempted to up and leave to peer at the aquarium hidden below. It's waters were soothing, though there was nothing within the large pool sized thing. A sigh escaped his lips as he thought of others he'd tried to help, and yet always failed.

The thoughts flew from his mind as Wren settled upon his lap. Cinnamon skin flushed with warmth at the sudden closeness the vampire had created between them. They didn't know each other, not really, but this still sent his pulse racing. His lips rose to meet the other man's fiercely just as he wrapped his arms around Wren's waist to make certain he wasn't going to move any further away. "Wren ... Stop being so silly. I don't have anyone to invite, and I wouldn't dream of inviting someone who might want to harm you." Despite the tone the dark haired man had used, he laughed lightly with a smile.

Kry 10-30-2012 04:27 AM

There was a flicker of annoyance across Wren's features, and he wriggled slightly his hands moving to rest on Den's arms. Why was it so difficult to intimidate this person? It was frustrating, he wriggled a bit more, as if trying to escape the human's lap but not really trying to. For a few moments Wren wasn't sure how to respond. "I'm not being silly. I'm being serious." He tried to sound dangerous again, but only succeeded in sounding just a little uncertain. Why was this human so easy going?

Wren frowned deeply, almost glaring at Den before he leaned in for another kiss. A hard kiss, harsh and forceful. As if that was supposed to be some kind of punishment for Den being so laid back and impossible to intimidate. Truthfully, Wren just liked kissing people, especially boys. That and he wasn't sure what else to do after putting himself in Den's lap. The vampire didn't care that they were related, something like that wasn't important, he just assumed Den would cast him out eventually once he got tired of him. That was all family was good for right?

PapillonCameo 10-30-2012 05:25 AM

A smile tugged up his lips once more as he caught Wren's expression. Apparently the other man wasn't used to being taken so lightly. His movement only served to make Den's smile widen. It was so much fun ... Just seeing how Wren would react to each one of his own actions. He wasn't entirely surprised when the vampire sent a glare his way, though his next move took his breath away.

Prudence shifted to press himself against the other man with a nearly silent murmur. "Why?" He didn't care, not truly. It just felt good to be wanted in some way again. He didn't want to be left alone as he had been so many times before. Putting his faith in Wren though, just didn't seem all that practical with that goal in mind. Den moaned softly as his green eyes closed. Thoughts flitted away as they were forcefully pushed aside so that the only thing that mattered was forgetting. Even so a name slipped from his lips as Den remembered kisses he'd taken in much the same way Wren was doing.

Kry 10-30-2012 05:39 AM

Wren's lips lingered a while longer against Den's, then he pulled away. Broke from Den's grasp and returned to his spot on the couch, his tongue flicking out to lick across his lips. Tasting that last lingering flavor of the human's lips on his own, his arms were crossed across his chest and he was watching Den. "Why, what?" As if he didn't know what Den had been referring to. A slight smirk on his lips as he studied the human.

PapillonCameo 10-30-2012 05:55 AM

Prudence found himself captivated for a moment by the man sitting beside him so nonchalantly with such careless elegance. At least, those were his thoughts as he struggled to untangle his emotions. "You know exactly what." One kiss was testing the waters, two was tasting, but three? Den shook his head and scattered strands of blue hair across his cinnamon skin. "Like I said before, you can stay ... Just don't play around with me." The words didn't quite make sense to his ears, but that was all Den could find to say.

Anger pulsed trough him as he though of the vampire having taken advantage of the situation, and how he had allowed such a thing to happen. A part of him had hoped for a fun night's play, but the fact that Wren intended to stay changed things drastically. One night stands weren't possible with someone who shared the same home as you. He had just remembered that, and the fact that this vampire probably had no intention of making any commitments.

Without a word the young man stood to make his way out of the living room. Steps resounded against stone after the sound of a door being slammed rang trough the first floor. A world of flickering blue light, always changing, welcomed Den. The aquarium-like pool soon welcomed a boxer wearing man into it's waters. He swam and frolicked in the water until tiring himself. At last, Prudence simply floated while looking up at the ceiling with a soft sigh.

(Kry: I didn't like my other post, so I just had to change it. Besides, this one is more consistent with my previous ones.)

][I'm not gonna be able to post much. This infection in my leg that should be gone is coming back, plus I had unexpected company drop in from out of town. ][

PapillonCameo 11-05-2012 01:03 PM

(O.o Just take care of yourself, alright?)

Kry 11-17-2012 05:13 AM

Wren scowled a bit at Prudence. The vampire would play with who or whatever he wanted to toy with. Right now that toy just happened to be Prudence. The human was right in his assumption about commitment though. Wren had no desire to be committed to any one. It was all fun a games. If he kept coming back for more fun, it was just because he thought the person was very fun. Nothing more. At least most times that's what he would tell himself.

He was still scowling as Prudence stood and left the room, he watched the human go and remained where he was for a few minutes. Wren didn't think much on what Prudence had said, no human had a right to tell him what he could and couldn't do, slowly he stood. Wren was debating on following Prudence, to see where the human had gone, it wasn't a long debate and moments after standing, the vampire followed the human's trail through the house. He pushed open the door that had been slammed and stepped into the room.

He stood there and stared. Wren had not expected such a large pool in the room, or rather, an aquarium. A fish-less aquarium that Den was using as a pool. Something about it made him shiver for a moment, then he was moving towards the edge of the aquarium pool thing. "That's a very big pool." He stated the words in a matter of fact tone.

PapillonCameo 11-18-2012 12:14 AM

Blue hair fanned around his features, swaying slightly in the water as Prudence floated. At first he didn't show any signs of having heard the vampire's words, until he made a sudden movement. A splash resounded trough the room as he dove beneath the water. The young man resurfaced by the edge, near Wren. Wordlessly, he reached out to grasp the other man's ankle and attempted to pull him into the water as well.

He'd decided, in the few minutes he'd had to himself, that any kind of company was better then none at all. "Come on, join me. The water's great." His conclusion was going to lead to heartbreak, somewhere along the road, but at the moment Den really didn't care at all.

Kry 11-18-2012 09:26 PM

Wren watched Prudence almost carefully as the human seemed to ignore him and then moving suddenly. He looked down when Den grabbed his ankle and pulled. It took Wren a second to realize what was happening, but by then it was too late and he had tumbled into the water with a splash. He came up next to Prudence, glaring for a moment, thankful for the fact that he didn't breathe. "That wasn't nice." He spoke the words almost coldly before he attacked.

Wren began to splash water wildly at Prudence. That was his attack. He had considered dunking the human's head underwater, but refrained from fear of making him drown. Wren wouldn't have held him under very long anyway, but he wasn't sure how long would be too long for the human. There was a slight smile on Wren's lips as he splashed Prudence.

PapillonCameo 11-18-2012 09:35 PM

He blinked for a few moments before breaking out in a wide grin. Prudence dove under the water once more to avoid Wren's splashing, and resurfaced in a far away spot. Nimbly, he clambered out of the pool and let his feet dangle in the water. "So tell me, what got you into so much trouble back there?" What kind of people was he going to have to deal with? Den was fairly certain that once the knowledge that Wren was still alive became known .... Trouble was sure to ensue. None of those in the warehouse had seemed likely to let anything slide.

((It doesn't make any sense and it's short, sorry.))

Kry 11-18-2012 10:24 PM

When Prudence had gone underwater and resurfaced out of range of his splashing, Wren stopped. He just watched the human for a few moments before swimming over to where Prudence was. He propped his elbows on the edge and shrugged a bit. "It was nothing important. I'm always in some kind of trouble." He gave Prudence an almost cold look, in Wren's opinion it wasn't really any of the human's business. Even though the other had saved him, and was letting him stay in his home. "Just forget about it."

PapillonCameo 11-18-2012 10:47 PM

"They almost killed you, and might kill me given the chance." Glancing down, he splashed a little water Wren's way with a thoughtful look. "I think it might be hard to forget." Though it would certainly make life interesting, whether he knew the story or not. The supernatural world was slipping into his once more, and this time things would end differently. Determination to protect his relative hardened in his mind, lingering there now that the decision had been made.

Kry 11-19-2012 06:15 AM

"You'll be fine, just don't let them catch you outside. They can't come in your home unless you invite them in." Wren shook his head, shaking some of the water from his hair, then shrugged. It was Prudence's fault anyway, for coming and getting him out of jail like that, then again, the police probably would have eventually released him regardless. "Well..Maybe you should know, since it's your fault anyway." He gave the human a cold look for a moment before looking away, it was a little shameful to admit that he'd been used as a scapegoat.

"The master of the coven murdered someone...murdered quite a few someones. The police were hot on his trail, and he gave them me. I was his scapegoat, but there was a problem with some of the evidence, so the police might have let me go even if you hadn't showed up. I am a vampire, so there's no telling what they would have really done with me. The coven master was angry that I was out of jail, but if I had run and hid they would have found me anyway, and there's no telling how he would have tortured me before sending me to true death. The best option for me was returning to him, but I'm sure by now he realizes I'm still alive."

Wren frowned deeply and looked hard at Prudence. "You most likely are in danger, but don't expect me to protect you. You are after all human, and family." He sneered a bit, nearly spitting the word 'family' like it was poison on his tongue.

PapillonCameo 11-20-2012 11:31 PM

He simply couldn't understand the anger Wren was always throwing his way. Prudence had done nothing more then help him after all, though in truth it probably had nothing to do with him. "What does being family have to do with protecting me? Besides, it doesn't matter... Since the way I see it, I'm the one doing the protecting." It was Den after all who had rescued Wren two times already; it was also him who had given the other man a place to stay.

All of this with no intent of asking for anything in return. Den's only true motivation was loneliness. He hated being alone, and yet that had been his lot of late.
