Parang stood behind Rivek, taking in the terrifying view infront of them. The structure that loomed over him was fine piece of architecture in its own standards. However, the wooden inn was intricately decorated with bones. It gave an ominous feeling, and he wondered if it was just because of his paranoia due to the events with the boar. Nevertheless, it made his stomach turn, and for a moment, the grumbles caused by hunger stopped. His sense of smell was never too great, but the nauseating smell of death, bones, and something else still managed to bother his olfaction.

However, what else could he do in such a situation? He was tired, hungry, and above all, defenseless against a cat if he were to walk away from the inn. The soft feeling of a bed would be a nice change of pace as well..
"I hope the food is worth all this...."
Parang muttered under his breath as he awaited response to Rivek's knocks from inside the inn.

At the knock on the door A'iel turned from the fire to stare at the door speculatively. It would be the two that were behind, or possibly new comers, but so close to full nightfall she doubted people would be wandering around still, most wise travelers mad camp at least an hour before sundown to make sure everything was in place for the night. Clapping her hands to rid it of the powdery substance she peeked her head out the door, smiling when she saw the new man with Rivek, "I don't see why you knock" she grinned "no one else has". A soft hissing sound came from the source of her pan over the fire. Leaving the door open she rushed back to the fire to peek in, reaching into the bag she had brought downstairs she tossed an assortment of nuts and raisins into the pan, smiling with a spice aroma began to fill the air.

"I knock out of politeness?" He smirked.

Rivek smiled a llittle at the smell of the baking. "Not meat, I see, but delicious nonetheless. Smells exotic." He licked his lips. He was a lot more hungry than he had thought he was, but he'd make sure Parang was fed first.

He nodded his head towards the sparrow and then turned to A'iel, "Any idea waht I am to do with this one?"

A'iel watched as the two stood in the doorway, pulling her pan out of the fire and very quickly reaching into it to toss a flat bread onto the table next to her. "Humm i suppose coming in and closing the door would be a start" she smirked back leaving the pan on the hearth to stand next to the counter. Hands on her hips she debated whether she should just go ahead and make herself at home or not; she hadn't seen Myla since she returned, and maybe the feline would like it for once if someone else cooked.

Mind made up she cast a glance at Verdi and stepped into the kitchen, immediately grabbing the various vegetables on the counter and slicing and dicing with a knife she had found. "Verdi please bring in some meat?" she requested as she searched the drawers and cabinets for something to bring the meat on, "ah" she smiled pulling out a large plate, "this will do". Hands moving furiously she reached into her bag and pulled out several more herbs and spices, distributing them amongst the fruits and veggies and placing things in several different small pots.

Verdi smiled as he grasped the plate, and shortly later came back inside depositing a large chunk of meat on the counter. Grinning he glanced into the various pots and laughed as A'iel tossed in her favorite things into each of them. As she finished he took them one by one and using a poker near the fire pushed them as near to the embers as he could. The people of her country usually cooked things by steaming or wrapping things in large wet green leaves and placing them in the coals to cook. Joining A'iel in the kitchen he rubbed rock salt onto the meat and then speared a log metal rod through it, placing it just so that the lame licked hungrily around the meat.

Smelling the sweet aroma of the various ingredients and spices, Parang couldn't control his protesting stomach any longer, and as it gave off another growl in hunger, Parang squeezed his head between the door and Rivek into the inn. He was never particularly good at foraging, despite his sparrow half, and the uneasy aura of the woods made it near impossible to find anything edible. The smell of the meal being prepared seemed like a godsend.

"are there any carrots?" Parang squeaked out, a voice fit for a song, not so much for speech. He cleared his throat and gave a short intro duction, ashamed that he let hunger blind his sense of manner and common etiquette.

"I'm Parang. Pleased to meet you all. I hope I'm not intruding."

"You must be the owner of the establishment, miss?" Parang hoped otherwise, since she didn't seem like the type to decorate anything with an astounding amount of bones.

Glancing up to the rafters A'iel spotted a particularly hideous skull of some creature before giving a light shudder and her response, "I'm not the owner" she said coming around the counter and flipping another ready piece of nan onto the table. Grinning she prodded a pot open with the poker and peered inside, sniffing the air trying to decide if the meal in the pots was complete, "no carrots, i could no find any".

Deciding that everything was nearly done (excluding the meat Verdi had just put on a spit over the fire) she stood up dusting the ash from her knees. "Verdi can you please get those out?". "my name is A'iel Van Roarke" she said politely, motioning to the table Aari had sat at before (closest to the door) she wandered back to the counter to grab the plates and utensils she had taken out before, setting several of the tables.

Verdi kept quiet and to himself, helping A'iel pull out the pots and turning the meat to cook evenly on all sides. Squatting in front of the fire he was a comical sight to see with his broad shoulders and back hunched over to grasp a poker that seemed almost like a small twig in his hands. As h e cooked he wondered where Myla had disappeared to and if Cypress planned to come down and eat as well. If another rude episode ensued he had half a mind to clop the young dragon in the ear.

Rivek took one of the pieces of nan. "Don't mind, do you, A'iel?" He handed it to Parang. "Eat up, unless you want me to prove it's not poisoned. Then I'll gladly down it." He trusted A'iel's food - like, usually he wouldn't - he didn't really know exactly what spices she was using... smelled Akhari - but for some reason, he couldn't ever imagine her trying to harm anyone.

"Verdi," he said. "Anything I ought to do around here? I don't cook much, but that's not to say I haven't done any ever."

After a nod and a small 'thank you' directed at both the green woman and the falcon, Parang took the bread gratefully, and started engulfing it, taking bites as big as his mouth would let him. He stopped every few minutes only to wipe his mouth free of the crumbs with his sleeve and to breath before attacking the naan again. As eating always went, Parang was free from the awkward conversations as he ate and he took this time to look study the room, which seemed to have an equal amount of accessories and decorations made of bone as it had on the outside. With a slight shudder, he instinctively took a small step closer to the fire, but still keeping himself close to Rivek.

As he finished demolishing his bread, Parang's eyes then moved to the man roasting meat over the fire. Parang smiled in amusement, for Verdi seemed so disproportionately large compared to the poker he was holding. He dared not bother Verdi directly, staring at the man so absorbed in his thoughts, and his meat.

Myla was still off and about in her own world. Maybe still in the woods or maybe around just doing well to keep unnoticed. This for now is only something everyone can wonder as nothing is clear enough to give answer.

When everyone left to go hunt or explore for all she knew she darted back up to her room the one that is always locked, always. Rahza took time to clean herself and even took the proud liberty in cleaning her grumpy friend.

With hair brushed, body clean and fresh dry clothes on she passed the time by grooming Ladu's fur, sharpening his claws which was not needed she just insisted. Ladu was not keen on such pampering or attention but it pleased the petite girl so he simply let her without a single sound or word of protest.

Having finished tending to both him and herself she sat upon the made bed with legs curled up, using Ladu as a pillow while she played a handcrafted instrument. Looking much like a flute but a bit smaller then what should be and at the end had a few dangling strings that held colorful shiny rocks about the size of a penny. Here she sat with eyes closed and practice her music, a new song for she loved music and felt free and at ease when able to play. But she got interrupted as the smells and sounds from below started to flood upstairs. Filling her nose with wonderous scents and ears with voices, even new voices but what stood out most was the lack of Myla's. Grinning daring she slipped her instrusment under the mattress and dashed to the door. Opening it as Ladu's eyes followed her she would slip out the room and start to descend down the stairs.

Rahza not waering shoes, would be able to walk down the stairs without a sound. It was hard to tell at times if she had shoes or not due to length of her loose fitting gown that flows with every step nicely. One palm to walk and other to her side she would peak around the corner before stepping off the last one curious to what is going on but not yet ready to be noticed. Perhaps she was shy or maybe it was for sake of the panther who surely is not far behind her.

Cypress had been holed up in his room the entire time the other had been out and about. At first he simply lay in his bed thinking about the creature that had just intruded upon his personal space. Every way he looked at it, the green girl wandering in his room annoyed him, never mind the fact she was trying to repair his only traveling cloak. He had to admit though, he had reacted very very badly when it came to finding her in his room; not even Myla who seemed to hold him in contempt received such degrading and harsh words from him.

Letting out a hiss of frustration he stood and began pacing back and forth in front of the hearth. Things just did not add up when it came to her. for one, the fact that she was traveling with a body guard when, before when she had suddenly run off no one was able to find a trace of her. People with that good of evasive skill did not generally need a guard to follow them around. Another fact being that she wore clothing that on first look did not seem very impressive, but Cypress' dragon sense had instantly identified the clothing she wore as being made of spider silk, the gems she wore as priceless, gold stitching on her shoes. Irritated he paced faster; rich people did not go traversing the country on foot though, most had horses, royalty had carriages. Sinking to his chair he massaged his temples slowly; all these contradictions were giving him a head ache.

Saffron murmured the dragon pleased, a rare herb indeed in these parts. Cypress shook his head to clear it of the thought that ran haphazard through it. "What are you rambling about this time" he groused as his nose caught a whiff of something downstairs that promised to be hot and savory. Saffron the dragon insisted, its from a flowering plant which generally is only found far far to the east. "ah" Cypress cut in trying to stop the full fledged explanation of the plant and its particulars before the dragon could get another word in edgewise. Deciding to investigate he pulled on his boots and opened the door, shutting it quietly on his way out. Down the stairs he nearly tripped over the girl peeking around the corner, so caught up in the delicious smells drawing him closer.

A'iel grinned and uttered a small "not at all" before bustling around to each of the tables and opening the various pots that Verdi had put on each. Inhaling deeply at a pot that contained a slightly red tint to its contents she sighed deeply and murmured a short rustling thanks in her native language. Generally she had trouble with this dish, but for once it seemed as if everything had turned out right. Turning to study the newcomer she noticed he had finished his bread and picked up another piece, walking forward to give it to him. Upon reaching his side she could no longer resist the temptation to touch his soft feathery looking ears, or trace the marking on his chin. "Does this come off?" she murmured leaning closer to inspect the marking on his face before realizing what she was doing and taking a quick step back; "I'm so sorry" she stammered with a faint blush touching her cheeks, "Its just I've never seen marking like these before, at least, not so big?".

Verdi snapped out of his reverie when Aari called out asking if he needed any help. Shaking his head he stood and gave the meat one final turn before turning to look at the two small men, only to burst out laughing at A'iel pawing of the poor new comer. Some day she was going to have to keep her hands to herself and her curiosity under wraps. A fumbling on the stairs caught his attention and turning he flashed his wide smile at the young girl and the dragon boy stumbling down the stairs. Ah, the whelp returned, and he was becoming less coordinated by the moment. Chuckling to himself he slanted a glance at A'iel to see how she was taking it.

Rahza was slacking on her sense of surrounding by putting her focus on the heavy filled room that when suddenly she was being bumped into she let out a screeching yelp, rather high pitch and can be painful to some as she was sent rolling down the last step and out into the open among the floor and partially on him. In a hurry she picked herself up, dusted the folds of her dress and then looked at him with hands to her hip and eyes in glare. "HEY!! Try watching where you are going!" She blurted out with an ending huff before trying to get the wrinkles and any floor dirt off her dress before any should stain. With a stomp to her feet she would turn now and start skipping along until she made way to the harp which stopped playing even before she neared.

Rahza took a seat, pulled on a few strings appearing to be after a certain note and once she found it she stepped away with a new song now starting to play. Glancing around at everyone in cute smile she would then skip on over to the bird-men. Of course she having no clue of what or who they are but still curious all the same since they are the ones that look closest to be humanly normal as she is. Well at least by appeal.

A giggle slipped out as she pranced in circles around them both getting a good look over each before she would then stop standing before Rivek. Body bending over as eyes glanced to his eyes and his clothing. "You are missing your knife?" She asked ecstatically. Hands gripping the side of her dress to keep her hands off exploring their folds and form. Touch to her is the best way to 'see'.

Rivek smiled as Parang ate his fill. Cute kid. Damn, those spices - whatever they were smelled good. He nodded at Verdi's response and turned to A'iel, "Please tell me that bread tastes as good as it smells." That, and he hadn't had boar in awhile. This bread smelled like the kind that would be good with tea. Man, what he wouldn't give for a hot cup right now.

Rivek stifled a laugh as Cypress fell down the stairs. So awkward. And he just got told off by a child. "You all right, there?" Without the cat-woman, the others having proven to be of no real, visible, threat and with another avian around, he was more relaxed, enough to talk more.

That said, he could feel the panther, hear it upstairs. Still not an immediate threat unless it were to fall through the cieling, and his rational mind doubted that would happen. As for this girl, this girl reeked of it, in an odd way - not quite smell, touch or anything, just ituition. Then again, she herself didn't seem to be of any harm. "Why, yes. Looks like I don't have it on me. This scaled gentleman, though, has kindly let me borrow his."

How the hell did this girl know his knife was missing - stuck in some waterfall, actually - especially because he couldn't ever remember actually seeing this girl before...?

Rahza wasn't very hungry to really give much care to the food. What had her attention was all those present to which she is all the eager to learn more about. Now with that said if Myla was around she wouldn't be here but would of ran right back upstairs to lock herself away. Seeing how she isn't around, she is taking advantage of the time, at least until the owner of the establishment returns.

Her head titled a bit as she stood before him with one leg straight and the other bent in at the knee with large beady eyes looking upon him in a very pleasingly curious expression. She waved off the question about having fallen for that was over and done with and clearly she was fine. Plus was a waste of time to talk about herself, she was more eager to learn of him at least until moving on to the next.

Slipping a giggle she would speak softly almost in a light singing hum. Seemed to be rather normal for her unless she is to be shouting. "Oh forgive me, I haven't introduced myself. Soo sorry!" She said in giving the man a curtsie with batting eyes. "I am Rahza its a pleasure to meet you" She squealed out before giving a quick glance to the wall in direction where the waterfall was.

"What may I ask is your name?" True she has never met him but the scent tells all. She saw the knife during one of her visits outside and her senses are extremely enhanced. Maybe its why she loves music so much?

"Do you not want it no more?" She whimpered out as a slight frown took her lips. Such a shame to see something being put to waste. Hands to her side gripping her dress even tighter for the urge to reach out and touch him was growing but she has to mind her manners among other things. There is a reason why Myla hates her being around others especially--- males.

Parang hadn't noticed that A'iel had approached him until he felt fingertips on the head wings of his. The fingers travelled to his chin and despite the tingles went down his spine, Parang could not move a muscle. Eyes widened, and he stared at the green figure, even as she jumped back in embarrassment. His cheeks reddened in a deep blush, hands shooting up to his face in an attempt to cover the dark brown markings.

The sparrow was unsure of how to react to the interaction, and could not think of a proper way to answer her, if such a thing existed
"th-thank you for the bread" He managed to squeak out, and he retreated a step or two back, Verdi's laughter causing the blush to deepen even more.

His embarrassment was momentarily forgotten as the fumbling of the dragon and girl caused a racket by the stairs. The girl seemed unfazed, if not a little annoyed. Curious girl she was. She seemed to stomp her way to an instrument, producing a few notes of pleasure. Without realizing it, Parang let a few notes escape his lips as well, though more muted and murmured as they were.

As the girl satisfied herself with the harp and made her way near him, or to be more specific, near Rivek, Parang could not help but stare at her eccentric enthusiasm towards Rivek. Seeing her clutch at her dress so much, Parang wondered if there was any meaning to it and even had an urge to tug on it as well, to see if it were made of some sort of special material.

Cypress caught his balance and nearly lost it again when the girl turned and began admonishing him. She certainly was loud wasn't she? Why was it that all the females in this inn had to irritate him so; and in such different ways. Nodding to Aari he looked back at the girl biting back the first response that popped into his mind he walked to the nearest table to peek into one of the pots. It was something he had never seen before and judging by the smell, more then likely something he had never tasted as well.

Looking around the room he noticed the two girls standing in front of the bird man and, some new person. Looking at the new comer with his piercing gaze he tried to discern what exactly it was. Prey hissed the dragon inside in a satisfied snarl. Turning slightly he noticed the blush that graced both A'iel and "the preys" face and began to grow irritated once more. Remembering A'iel first reaction when she had seen him he guessed that she once again could not keep her hands to herself, and for some reason that infuriated him. Glaring at the new comer and shooting a confused look in Aari's direction he set himself in the nearest chair and snatched up a piece of bread; chewing on it to keep himself from saying anything rude. He had decided the least he could do to atone for being such an ass before was to not make anything worse.

When Cypress had first stumbled into the room A'iel had turned to look at him, her eyes glinting silver and jaw clenching; despite the time away from the inn she had spent, she wasn't quite ready to deal with his stupid tantrums yet and instead turned her attentions back to Parang. The soft warble that came from his lips did not go unnoticed, he certainly was very pretty, and had a beautiful voice to match. Eyes shining with curiosity she motioned to the table once more, "no one would stop you if you were still hungry" she said with a grin.

Verdigris had taken a seat soon after Cypress had tripped down the stairs. Most of the following moments he was overcome y laughter by all the strange and awkward creatures trying to interact with each other. A gleam in his eye he watched amused as conflicting emotions flickered over Cypress' face, but no words came out. How it much torture the dragon to keep his acid tongue in check. Sniffing the air he determined the meat was ready and walked to the fire pulling the spit with the meat on it out in a glove covered hand. Drawing a knife from his belt he stood over a plate he had decided was Aari's and held the knife poised above the meat, "how much?" he said nodding at the falcon.

"Now, then, my name is Aari. Outside of that, I suppose they call me Falconer out of my profession. You speak rather formally for someone of your age." he told the girl, bowing in response to her curtsie. "But as for my knife - I just traded with the scaled boy over there. This black-bladed one is his." He pointed at Cypress whom - as predators can tell with each other - seemed to be eyeing Parang a little more than he should. Rivek stepped casually into his line of view, an animal-to-animal signal to leave off. But then again, in all order of nature when - just as the Akhari lion eats before the jackal - would a falcon eat before a dragon?

He turned to Verdi. Cooked meat didn't give him the life-energy as much as raw meat did, and hey, if it was readily available, he'd take what he could get. "Well, since you asked...Hmm... Okay, why don't you decide? Take a look at me. Haha, think of what a scrawny mortal like me could manage to eat. ... then double it."

Parang couldn't help but feel another chill down his spine, although he couldn't exactly place his fingers on where it came from. Turning his attention back to A'iel, or to be more precise, the food offered, Parang nodded but did not move. The uneasy feeling was back, now that his mind was off the hunger, and Parang wasn't so sure he could push it out of his mind.

He did, however, peer around Rivek in order to catch a glimpse of the others. They say curiousity killed a cat, but he was a sparrow. ' Satisfying it just a little won't hurt. ' Parang reasoned, as he studied the stout figure seated at the table, who seemed to be filled with chuckles and small bouts of laughter. The dragon was next. He seemed to be annoyed, if not even in slight discomfort and confusion. Parang felt another chill run down his spine, and he straightened himself behind Rivek again, disappearing from the view of those infront of him.

Rahza's eyes glanced over to the other one for a moment as he seemed to be eyeing her dress. Giving a teasing glare she stuck her tongue out at him in making it clear she caught his looking and then she would turn her attention to Aari as the other went behind him. "Hmm...." She hummed out as eyes once again ran over his form and did so very slowly before a hand lifted to rub at her chin. She clearly didn't seem impressed by the name or perhaps didn't believe him.

"How rude!" She blurted out with corner of her lip curled to express the building rage. Never mind the compliment that was behind his words. "You have no knowledge of what my age is or isn't thus to assume I am young reguardless of how I may look is very rude!" She stammered out as eyes for a moment was flooded over with black but quickly faded out to be normal again. Quickly she would give a few steps to the side and lean her upper body a bit to glance to the male now behind Aari. Voice calmed and expression sweetened as she would speak to him sweetly, words flowing out like a sweet lullaby being played in the faint background.

"Are you alright?" Eyes gave a few slow blinks as she looked at him before removing a hand from her dress and extending it while holding the dress to in turn, let him reach. "Its nothing special" She whispered out as she stood still only to suddenly get a chill run down her spine moments later. Biting her bottom lip with a whimper and shudder to her form she skipped back a few feet to be away from both but let her eyes fall to Aari once more with a happy girley cute expression. "You are forgiven" She muttered out giving him no time to make clear if he wanted it or not. Part of her knew that he didn't mean any harm by it, or so she hoped, but still it was offensive enough to upset her for a few seconds.

What are you doing Rahza? You are told over and over again to leave them alone, you know what happened last time which I remind you every day. Need I remind you twice? Said the panther to her thought as he now stood on the floor at the foot of the stairs. Body stands strong while head slouches a bit putting neck and head parallel to the floor. Go play some music before you get out of hand He expressed with an ending light growl escaping his maw as he made his way over to the harp in which he layed down next to.

"But I don't wanna!" She cried out a bit louder then should. The panther said nothing in which the rest could hear so to them it would look like she is just talking to herself and whining over nothing. With a sigh she pranced her way over but stopped just long enough to skip around the bird-men once again still interested and more so now to the hiding one. There was nothing to fear so she was baffled as to why he would hide in the first place. Not worried about it though she took a seat at the harp and started to play, changing the song yet again. Eyes kept shut, with legs crossed as she played with lips slightly parted as she would sing in hum to the song she would play.

Cypress' lip curled in a sneer as Aari stepped up blocking his view of the new person before turning to lean forward and dip his bread into the hot pot. The contents of the pot seemed to be a a very thick soup with pieces of vegetables and a few small pieces of meat in it. At least he had thought it was meat until he bit into it and discovered it was some sort of vegetable. Glancing up to start at the meat longingly he listened to the girl chatter to herself.

Eyes staying to Aari he recalled that he still had his favorite knife wedged into the rock down at the waterfall, along with his new prized possession of leather. Chewing thoughtfully he considered the time it had been beaten under the water and decided at first light the following morning he would go out to see if it was ready. He felt naked without his knife, never mind the fact he still had his other was in one of his boots, and his rapier upstairs.

A death hissed the dragon mournfully. Eyes clouding over Cypress focused in himself and let his dragon senses loose. A vast amount of magic had recently flooded the area, signaling either some extremely powerful mage, or the death of a very large magical creature. It seemed on of his kin had recently died, and as luck would have it, it was relatively close. Swallowing his bite of food he let a grim smile creep over his features, what better way to get back into the swing of things then to go "rescue" this late distant relatives of his' treasure?
