- Hotel California by the Eagles is a famous song, but maybe not classic. Who gets to decide that anyways? lol.
It wasn't popular just because it's a good song, there was a lot of other things going on with it. I wrote a paper about it, in high school oddly enough, describing the message of the lyrics, in my opinion. When I asked around, a lot of people said it was about a girl. But I guess the band said the song about being in hell, and meeting the devil, or something along those lines. I don't remember all the details, because I wrote that paper several years ago, but I like songs with lyrics that.. hold something more than just the face value of them.
Hotel California is one of those songs.
