"Thanks." Almost breathless, she whirled around and ran to the last doorway Kiel had pointed to. Once in the courtyard, she leaned against the wall and took in a few deep breaths. Since when have I been claustrophobic? And in that big a room... It must be all the time I've spent in the open, alone. She gazed up at the sky for a moment, and then sighed when she heard footsteps approaching. She turned around and quickly examined the roof of the guild, then jumped, grabbed a section that would hold her weight, and swung herself up onto the tiles. As silently as possible, she walked over to a tower and sat down half behind it, so that she could see and not be seen. A couple of girls walked out into the courtyard and laughed at something one of them had said. Companionship, she sighed. Who needs it?
