@Thoth: Oh, wow, you grow strawberries? How do you do your compost? (how do you start a compost box?) I am so new at this and very eager to learn.
@Vampire Box: How does he take them? Does he bring a bucket or something? Haha, It's kind of funny to picture a farmer with a bucket and sand shovel.
@Merrow: I took a look at it, it is interesting. I would like to store rainwater, but I am afraid of it attracting mosquitoes if I did it wrong. I think drainage systems would be expensive to have done professionally for the purpose of collecting water.. Hopefully I am wrong.
@Amyrex: I never knew tea could help with sunburn, I burn so easily but am allergic to most lotions. :o I should try that if I burn again.
A new thing I found out was used coffee grounds mixed with orange peels can repel cats from digging and chewing up your garden. The alley cats attacked and claimed a few lives of my children during the summer. I was so mad, chased them away with a hose. The neighbor feeds them all and we are in row homes. I tried wetting the ground and putting down red pepper flakes and sprinkled my plants with them. Still didn't stop them. I shall try the orang/coffee ground mix this year.
