I absolutely love Wicked...XD In my freshman year our Marching Band show was Wicked, and it was so much fun. The flag girls twirled brooms and our Drum Majors Dressed up like Galinda and Elphaba. XD We thought it was amazing, our show wasn't as good as we thought it was though, lol. But it was still a lot of fun to do. This was around the time Wicked was becoming popular and 'known' which was exciting, most people didn't know what our show was about at first. :)
Then for our band trip that year we went to New York and got to see Wicked on Broadway! So exciting!!! Then the following year I went on a trip to Europe and I got to see it preformed in London! The differences were rather amusing, the one in London was more...um... pop/rock like I guess you could say, and had tons of green lights for the Emerald City part. They were both really good though.
It kinda bothered me that it didn't follow the book, but then again it is kinda expected. I really enjoyed both the book and the two musicals I saw though, it really was very inventive to show the story from the 'evil' one's point of view, making her seem less evil. It also brought up many good points on what evil truly is, or what is truly evil....
