"Question?" The goblin asked in a voice that was both gravelly and squeaky at once.
"Yes, a question. Or two," Siobhan reminded him. She decided that it was a him. "First of all, where am I?"
The goblin threw back its head and began to laugh uproariously. It was quite a change from its previous timidness. "Where is she! Where is she, the human asks!" Finally, he calmed down enough to answer. "Human is in the Labyrinth, of course! Where else would she be?"
"The... the Labyrinth?" Siobhan tested the word out on her tongue. It was strange to her; she couldn't remember ever hearing about such a place before.
"Yes, the Labyrinth." The goblin nodded before turning and sprinting off. Siobhan cried out and made to grab for it, but of course it was too far away.
"Wait!" She yelled as it drew ever further away. "I still--"
"A question or two! A question or two! Two questions you've asked, and Gobble has answered!" Came the mocking mantra.
"Come BACK here, you little--" She began to run after it, but it was surprisingly swift on its feet. The goblin giggled to itself until finally Siobhan, gasping for air, had to stop and stare helplessly until she couldn't see it anymore.
"...Great," she eventually groaned, leaning against the stone wall. "Just great. Now what am I going to do?" She gazed up at the sky, her brow furrowed worriedly. "I'm stuck in a strange place, I don't know anything about it, the one person--thing--that I could have asked just ran off on me..."
Siobhan heaved a sigh and stood upright again. Placing one foot in front of the other, she began to walk down the roofless corridor that she was in. "Well, come on, feet," she muttered as she made her way down the path. "There's got to be someone else I can ask about this place."
