Thats exactly what I would have done.
I have a stupid fear of an alien from the aliens franchise attacking me when I walk home from my girlfriends house,
and the dogs down the street remind me of the RE1,2and 3 dogs, cause of their claws on the concrete. I always wish that I had a Shotgun with me for those walks home.
