The woman who spoke was as beautiful as the other ones she had seen here. Everyone here seemed so perfect and happy. Maybe that was what brought her back here. Apparently the boss wasn't in though, the woman said. Not sure what to do, Mari took a seat near where she was standing out of nervousness.
Her hands played with each other in her lap out of a nervous habit. She licked her chapped lips as she watched the woman walk off. She should just leave, she had no point in staying here now. Unless this woman could do what the boss could. As the woman came back with a cup of hot tea Mari began to become unsure. She wiggled in her chair now, adjusting her posture a few times.
As the woman was about to set down the drink Mari had to stop her, "I d-don't have money for t-this."
