The mayor of my city has the audacity to actually cut the academy for training and producing more law enforcers. On top of that, he wants officers to cut hours, and even to cut some of those jobs entirely. He's one of those incredibly homophobic and corrupt Good Ole' Boys.
I'm not a fan of the police.
When I was still learning to drive, having just received a license, I crashed the car on an icy road. The police were polite, courteous and incredibly helpful in front of other adults, but as soon as I was stuffed into the back of a car for "fleeing the scene of a crime" (to make a phone call from a nearby business; I had no cell-phone at the time), they were rude, condescending, and threatened me with jail time and multiple citations.
A cop pulled a gun on me and my little brother and sister when we were little; I have no affection towards anyone in that field of work.
