I actually went to an anime con this year. I suppose that's similar to Halloween, since there were a lot of people in costume (and not all anime themed, I'm pretty sure I saw a dozen or so princesses and a Michael Jackson). I even got a little candy from the artists in artist alley. And I was Sophie Hatter from Howl's Moving Castle.
