And more importantly, what should I do to take care of it? Should I clip the ends (because lots of people told me not to)? Should I wear it down to bed or in a ponytail? ETC. So I'm just looking for great hair tips and stuff like that. Thanks all! :3

Alright. I just recently did this myself. I cut my hair about a year ago to the length that you cut yours and mine reached the middle of my back after seven months, but my hair grows quickly.
If you want to take care of long hair you need to brush it constantly with a paddle brush, use conditioner, and be careful that you don't let it get tangled.
I find that it's better to sleep with my hair down (I don't know why but it ends up less tangled in the morning this way). I also don't know which idiots told you not to clip the ends, but you NEED to. It keeps the hair healthy AND makes it grow faster. There's nothing better than keeping the hair healthy ;).
