Even the vampires were quiet, the dark sky and fluffy snow blanketing the entire city. The glittering sky scrappers were slightly gothic in their architecture, the many windows and curved stone bringing to mind days long past. Only the occasional car easily going over the faintly dusted streets breaking the image of some fanciful, medieval kingdom. It was little wonder that this was considered a place where fantasy and reality met, where past and present came together. Then again….considering the age of half the ruling vampires, what else would one expect?
Still, something broke the silence as a car door slammed and a young woman was thrown out of the back of a van. As the van disappeared the woman lay unconscious a moment, her unnatural hair curling around her form and leaning in the snow. If the pale white pink locks with vivid turquoise highlights were not clear enough to reveal, however, that this ‘human’ girl was not so human anymore the back of her black dress tore as metallic bone like wings drew painfully from her back. The cybernetics began taking hold, her soft cry released as a few drops of blood were sent flying from her back and a tail unbound from her waist.
She moaned softly in pain, violet eyes slowly opening as she became slightly conscious. She looked at the snow, shivering slightly as she found she was even more sensitive to the cold then before. What….what had happened. Her hands gripped the cold snow, her muscles momentarily to weak to stand. She could remember nothing and just lay in the snow a moment, the cold wind making her shiver….
