Vayn stood outside the Laughing Lion tavern, his belongings at his side as he bent over to tie his boots. The previous night's breadwinning had gone well, and the tiefling had been able to gorge himself on rich beef stew before sleeping off the resulting food coma in one of the establishment's nicer beds. Of course, that meant that his first meal of today had technically been lunch, but really, he had no reason to keep a schedule. Plans changed all the time - Vayn had thought about moving on from this city today, but with he favor the horned man appeared to have won the night before for his playing and reciting, well, it would not hurt at all to milk that for all it was worth. Maybe he could even stay two or three more nights before his welcome wore out.
Still, he liked to travel with all of his things anyway; if he was missing something walking around, it bothered the Tiefling. So, once his shoes were on, Vayn picked up his lute case and his other bags, and arranged their weight comfortably on his shoulders and back as he made his way towards the merchant square. This place supposedly had really nice wood-carvings, some sort of indigenous human cultural thing that had carried on in spite of the supposed civilization here, and Vayn thought that perhaps he could pick up a couple little totems, for curiosity's sake.
The natives of this state were also known to have beautiful women, as well - if what the Tiefling had heard at the Laughing Lion's bar last night was to be believed. Perhaps he could seek himself some company for the day, or the evening and night as well if he was lucky. Today would be a good day, Vayn could feel it. With a grin on his face, he made his way towards the market plaza at the city center, offering a nod of greeting to anyone and everyone who even paused to stare at the curled horns on his head.
