(ARG. Internet problems and finals week hit me for a double whammy. I'm really, really sorry I didn't say anything, guys! But saying something was kind of not an available option! : ( )

Darius had consumed himself in sucking down his meal as quickly as he possibly could and was midway though downing his soup when the nobleman came face down into their table. The impact surprised him, causing him to find his feet as so many around Lord Marcus found the floor with their glazing eyes. "Veata..."

Up appeared the drow and three flashes flew passed Darius, sailing into the napes of three separate men's necks. The room was filling with the scent of blood and the sound of these anonymous men's last gasping breaths. By now the red haired girl had more or less disappeared from the carnage and Darius was happy for it. Despite her grizzly behavior, so unsuitable for someone her age, he couldn't help himself but to see a youth under the chaos. Then out in the midst there was Atticus' voice saying his name. This was his friend's doing?! This massacre?! These were innocent people- maybe not the best of people, but they didn't deserve to be mowed down in an orgy of death. In came guardsmen, men that Darius knew, but in all of the din his words had been drowned away... And like an ocean of malice the assassins washed them away in their flashing tide of biting iron.

..."We don't answer to you"...

As the battle fury died down and rage stirred in Veata and Darius. The man's eyes were locked onto Atticus. This wasn't a nightmare and the scalding feelings within him did not exist only in dreams. Everyone was hesitating in the backwash moments of their bloodlust until finally it was suggested that they make their report.

Emotions other than wrath flooded forth from Darius now, the most of which was pity. From earlier he saw his friend's state and finally could conceive what sort of hell he lived. "I see... you made it, friend. Perhaps we should find ourselves another tavern before we have a drink together." It was strained. Half of him wanted to strangle the half-elf with his bare hands, but the human knew better.
