Your dreams could really be from your subconscious trying to tell you something... Or it could be backlash from your previous zombie love. I myself have had dreams about stuff that happened or that I was preoccupied with or thinking about WAY before those dreams ever happened. They went on for a period of time, and then just stopped cold turkey. So that might happen for you too.

Or it could be like a psychological\life factor... Although since I don't know you, this is only a "What if?". Like, say if you're feeling stressed or anxious (for a reason other than the zombie dreams). This stress\anxiety could manifest itself in dreams. Speaking from personal experience.

I second the "think about something else before you go to sleep." This is from personal experience; if you concentrate like consciously on something right before\as you are falling asleep, there's a chance that you could dream about that. But... this is not a 100% thing, and I haven't tried it on purpose, I just noticed,"Hey, I dreamed about that movie I watched last night" upon waking up.

If this goes on for a worryingly long time, you could try a psychological doctor who specializes in dreams... But unless the thoughts and worry about the dreams are negatively impacting your waking life, I'd eschew this option, since it costs money.

And yes, if you're starting a "new life" far away, then anxiety\excitement\etc could totally be manifesting itself in dreams. It's like nervousness about the unknown (at least that's how I felt before I moved to college).

Even if you're not feeling stressed or anxious, you could try stuff to relax before you go to bed, like drinking tea or reading or yoga... even if you don't think you need it. The tea stuff works for me, because the heat is very soothing. And reading, too, since I like to read and when I do it gives me something to think about when I'm lying there waiting to fall asleep. I... haven't tried the yoga thing, but I hear it's relaxing. If you want, you could certainly have a go at that.

Annnnd I found this webpage, if you care to read it, that's about stopping recurring nightmares and covers various possible causes:

How Do I Get Ride of Recurring Nightmares?

I don't know if I helped at all with this post, but I felt like trying because I know how awful nightmares are, ESPECIALLY if they keep happening and you don't know how to stop them. Here's hoping they stop for you soon.
